Oracle : Flow for the Concept

Hi,
Consider there are 4 jobs A,B,C and MAIN.The MAIN Job will call other subroutines based on the some condition. The Main Job will call the Job A on the first business day of the every week.also it will call JOB B on every business day. Also it will call the Job C on the first day of the every month. Can anyone suggest me the flow to do it?
I am using oracle 10g

Welcome to the forums!
You may want to look at the Oracle Scheduler, specifically the use of Chains.

    Hi,
You do not need the MAIN job. You just need to create 4 scheduler jobs which each have a different schedule. See the Scheduler chapter of the Administrator's guide or the dbms_scheduler package documentation for help in setting up the exact schedules you need.
If you really want a main job, create a single main job which runs daily and then spawns the other tasks based on what day it is. You can have the other tasks be single one-time jobs if you want extra parallelism or just have the code inline in the main job
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Oracle Help for the Web 2.0 Production

Oracle Help for the Web 2.0 is now available on OTN Downloads.
Oracle Help for the Web (OHW) 2.0 is a major update to the previous releases OHW 1.1x and OHW 1.0.x, and is designed and recommended to replace both.
Some of the new features in 2.0 include the following:
    Support for Bookmarking Navigator Pages
OHW 2.0 no longer uses frames to store navigational state on the webpage. Each navigator stores its complete state on the URL, allowing each page to be bookmarked. This includes TOC locations, keyword locations, and search runs. In the view topic page, the frame information is also saved, allowing a user to forward the link via email, etc to the displayed topic. In addition, if you navigate to a named anchor within a topic page, this page position is also saved and is bookmarkable.
Multiple Locale Support in a Single Instance
OHW 2.0 can now support multiple locales in the same servlet instance. After you register the helpsets in the OHW configuration file, the OHW servlet will automatically determine the best locale to use for a user request (based on browser settings and what locales are available), and display the localized helpset (along with a localized OHW chrome) to the user. This feature also means that if you navigate to a topic in English, and then send the link via email to a user whose browser supports Japanese, if the Japanese helpset is registered, the topic link will appear in Japanese to the second user.
    Search Engine Support
OHW has been specially designed so that search engine crawlers can reach all hosted content (including table of contents, and index pages) and easily traverse within and between the available navigators. Page titles have also been redesigned to make pages easier to locate from within a search engine result set.
Ability to Share Resources Across Localized Helpsets
OHW can be configured so that helpsets can share resources such as images and CSS stylesheets. Since each localized helpset no longer needs its own resources, this can dramatically reduce the size of the deployed file.
    Relative Content Locations
Content locations can now be specified relative to the OHW configuration file.
    True Popup Support
OHW now properly supports Oracle Help popup links. Following this link will bring up a dynamic draggable DHTML window (or a normal popup window if the browser does not support it) with the requested topic page.
All Level Merging in the Table of Contents
Using the default TOC engines, each level of the TOC will merge like elements together. This change reflects modifications made to core Oracle Help classes and mimics the feature added to Oracle Help for Java (OHJ).
New Tree-based Table of Contents Navigator
The Tree-based TOC navigator shows the data in a heirarchical fashion and allows the user to see the full TOC (and not just a limited part of the TOC, as with previous versions of OHW). The tree-based TOC navigator is a standard navigator and can be added by including it in the helpset configuration file.

Yes, I am now able to access this page and download OHW.
    Thanks very much,
    Lucie

  • Oracle Strategy for the UIX & BC4J in the new JDeveloper version

What is Oracle Strategy for the UIX & BC4J in the new JDeveloper version:
    - Like DataBinding
    - BC4J Integration
    - UIX controller
    - Internationalization
    - Supporting for Palm, phone and pager.

    Hi,
Are these questions all BC4J specific?
General databinding info is discussed here:
What's the developement direction of UIX?
For BC4J/UIX integration, in 9.0.5 we will continue to support our existing api's, but you can also use uix as the view and bc4j as the model in adf, which is described here:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/htdocs/905/sod_otn.html#adf
Aside from bug fixes, I don't think there are major changes in the controller/internationization. Did you have specific questions about the controller and internationalization?
We are planning to support Palm web browser 2.0, but due to the timing of the release of a platform that supports it and our own schedules, I don't think it will be officially supported in the 9.0.5 release. We won't have phone or pager support in 9.0.5.

  • Oracle eKit for the iPad. Course attended in 2009.

Saw a nice demo about Oracle eKit for the iPad on YouTube. I attended in 2009 a SQL training (received a PDF eKit). Is it possible to receive now Oracle eKit for the iPad? How?

Well you can obviously put can put your PDF on your iPAD via iBOOKs.
And I think you are able to downdown the Oracle eKit App for free ... whether thsi gives you anything with your existing PDF eKit I simply do not know. But you can try and report back.
I suspect Oracle will not upgrade your existing PDF eKit to a later eKit Plus.
I may be talking rubbish about all that. If I win the Euro-millions lotto I might buy an Oracle Training course, there again if I win the Euro-millions lotto I think I'll just eat Rasberry Pi. Others will know better.

  • Cover flow for the ipad

Why is no Cover flow for the iPad 2 with OS 5?

I made a newer post about this same topic (trying to be a little more strategic) and this time I included a link to a video demonstrating my point. Here's the post http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6574743#6574743.
I couldn't agree with you more on the custom folder icon issues. I'm beginning to find out what the problem is on that. I have used the newest version of Candy Bar for my Home directory icons and that works fine, but there are some folders that I want to use a different icon for and leave the rest as they are. Candy Bar can't do this for me (as it only works with the generic icons) and so I used Apple's Icon Composer application (in the Developer Tools) to make the correct icon sizes for Leopard and then saved them as .icns but then copying and pasting that on a folder would result in the default ICNS icon and not my custom icon (that was under 10.5.1). So I finally got the custom icon to appear, but it only works for sizes 128x128 and lower, even though I put a 512X512 version in there. That's why it doesn't show up in Cover Flow. For some reason, Leopard "blacks" out anything larger than 128x128 on "Cut and Paste" icons. I found that out by copying my custom icon from the Get Info panel and then opening that in Preview and it shows a black background for the larger icons instead of the alpha channel. I'm still trying to figure this out. Also, IconBuilder seems to be doing the same thing (making and ICNS file) but it seems to work better. I haven't used that since I've upgraded to Leopard but from what I've read it should work, but I don't have Photoshop right now. Well, thanks for posting and agreeing with me on the Carousel view and I hope you check out my video. Thanks.

  • Carousel View Better Than Cover Flow For The Finder?

I have been using my .Mac Web Gallery quite a bit lately and I love the new and improved Carousel view. Apple keeps updating it (they added reflections, a nice play/pause scroll bar, and now you can use the scroll wheel (or ball) on your mouse just like Cover Flow in iTunes and the Finder) making it better and better and it has gotten to the point where I think it would make a lot more sense (and look nicer) for Apple to implement it in the Finder in place of Cover Flow. Cover Flow works perfectly for iTunes still (as that's what it was intended for) and I think that it's "Ok" in the Finder in Leopard, but now that Apple has cleaned up the Carousel view so much in the .Mac Web Gallery, I can see it looking PERFECT in the Finder in Leopard. For anyone who's used or seen the Cover Flow view in the Finder, you'll realize what I mean when I say that it's "Ok". The problem with it is that most of the dynamically generated icons in Leopard are not nice squares like the albums in iTunes so the icons off to the sides of the center one look skewed and distorted. The Carousel view would fix that problem while retaining the benefits of the Cover Flow view and, from what I can see, would actually enhance the benefits because the side icons would be easier to see as they are not skewed. All I'm suggesting is for Apple to swap out the Cover Flow view in the Finder for the Carousel view and then the Finder would really SHINE! So, my question to any of you is, "Would you vote for the Carousel view to replace the Cover Flow view in the Finder?" Please let me know any of your ideas or suggestions. Thanks.

    Hi,
I am ABAPER and i had been assigned to devleop a report which shows the Cycle Time for the materials which are send through Gate Pass outside the plant to a vendor and then coming back to plant.
I want to know which Tcodes,Tables are used in it so that flow can be understood...

    Hi,
I want to know is there any tcode and table other than MB51 and MSEG where the values are stored.  I am not able to make link between them i.e. the if purticular item is sent wr.t. 5A1 has come backi.e. 5A2 . i want to give a example i.e.. Tcode QA03 which is display inspection lot in which there is a tab named 'Inspection Lot Quantites'  there are the material documents which are stored in it and gives the data that these are the mat. docs w.r.t. movt types.

  • Can I use the same Oracle Repository for the new FDM App

    Hi All,
I have to uninstall FDM and install and re-configure FDM again and then restore FDM Apps present previously.
For this, Can I resue the same Oracle Repository for restoring the FDM app on newly installed instance.
As far as I know, I need to take the backup of that repository and then drop the Repository and create again and use it for new application
Please suggest, are there any other ways to do this/..
    thanks in advance
    J

You can reuse the repository. You will need to <Add Application> instead of <New Application>

  • 2 data sources (oracle db) for the same report

    Hi
I was wondering if I can have 2 sources (could be same or different instances). Example, I want to get information from one instance in the report trigger, and output of that i pass to the report (inside the query in the where clause). Is this possible with Oracle reports?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thx!

    Hi Dan
    Thanks for the response.
I need some information (in before report trigger) - from one oracle instance - and then pass this information as a parameter to the report - whose output will come from another oracle instance.
I haven't given it a try yet what you had recommended but will do so.
    Thx!

  • Authoring Oracle Helpf for the Web

    Hi,
I've been tasked with creating the help file for the portal we are deploying. I've followed the steps outlined in the Oracle Help Guide and now have the following files:
    cna.hs
    cna_toc.xml
    cnamap.xml
    public_home.html
    site_map.html
I don't quite understand what I am supposed to do next. If anybody can give me a hand I would appreciate it.

It looks like you've got a helpset file, a table of contents file, a map file, and some HTML content. That should give you a small, but functional helpset. Have you tried configuring OHW to display your helpset? What are your specific questions?

    Yep. Look at this example:
    SQL>create table x(y clob);
    Table created.
    SQL>insert into x values (
2  'This is a very long string
3  and that was an carriage return - entered in notepad'
      4  )
      5  /
    1 row created.
    SQL>select * from x;
    Y
This is a very long string
and that was an carriage return - entered in notepad

  • Process Flow for the Business Scenario

    Hi,
The scenario is service industry ex. House keeping service.
We are using Project system module for the above service industry. The modules which are being implemented apart from PS are SD, MM, FICO and HR.
The Project duration is normally 1 year. The client requirements are as follows:
    1) Quotation price should be based on the planned cost of the project (No Inquiry)
    2) Create a Contract once Quotation is approved.
    3) Month wise billing based on actuals of resource and materials consumed for the project.
As per my understanding, Resource related billing and Easy cost planning to be used. Pl let me know whether this is correct and let me also know how to handle the above scenario.
    Rgds,
    Prasad

    Hi,
You are correct that you need to do resource related billing for your requirement.
Basically, In your scenario, once you get a go ahead from PS, you will be able to create a contract.
You can use the standard contract document type and assign the WBS element created in PS to it either at header level or at item level depending on your requirement.
Create a DIP profile in PS.
Create a new item category and attach this DIP profile to your item category. Based on this the system will be able to identify that RRB needs to be performed on this material.
You can post the costs in PS or FI using various activity types. Once the costs are posted to the activity type, you can run RRB by using transaction DP90.
(This will bring on all the costs which are associated with this line item/WBS element.)
Then in DP90 you can create a billing request, this will create a debit memo, and then you can do a billing to this debit memo.
    Thanks
