Hi...I'm trying to pick host name using webutil through the following command behind a push button in my form:
:Pc_Nom := Webutil_Clientinfo.Get_Host_Name;
But it gives the following error:
oracle.forms.webutil.capi.capifunctions bean not found
webutil_c_api.rebind_parameter will not work.
Can u tell me where is the problem???Hi!
Do you have referenced the webutil object group from the webutil.olb?
Take a look in the java console if webutil is registred.

MazThose packages are owned by SYS, so if you are logged in as any other user you will not be able to see or access them. So log in as SYS and decide how you want to allow access to other users. You can either grant EXECUTE to public or a specific user or you can use a variety of other options. Oracle recommends, as an example, that you create a "webutil" user and grant permission to that user. This would be the user that gets the webutil sql script run against it and become the user that can run the webutil enabled forms (e.g. webuti_demo.fmx). Obviously, this is just an example and you can grant the permission and install the webutil tables where ever you'd like.
Having said that, understand that the error you posted has nothing to do with these packages. Although they are needed for file upload/download functionality and in order to successfully compile webutil.pll (into webutil.plx) they play no role in the error you reported. Your current issue is the result of only one or more of the following (I will assume you are trying to run webutil_demo, which is a known working form):
1. You have not included the webutil configuration as I originally mentioned
2. You have not compiled the form (fmx) correctly. Refer to the following:
http://www.oracle.com/webapps/online-help/forms/10g/topics/web_util/using.htm
3. For whatever reason, frmwebutil.jar was not successfully downloaded. This can be determined by reviewing the java console on the client. It may be necessary to enable a trace level higher than the default in order to note the download occurring in the console.
If you are not at all familiar with WebUtil or Forms, I recommend you read the documentation. If you do not become familiar with how this works, simply getting it working isn't going to be of much value, especially if you are actually attempting to create a real application for production use and not just teaching yourself something new.

WebUtil: oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found
Hi. This is my first attempt using WebUtil. The following code is in my When-New-Form-Instance trigger:
client_host('N:\TTMS\ITS\vbasic\compiled\MenuUpdate.exe');
This is the error I receive:
oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found
I've included my formsweb.cfg below for your reference. Note that the application is using the [ttmsmenu] configuration.
Thanks in advance for your help with this problem.

# formsweb.cfg defines parameter values used by the FormsServlet (frmservlet)
# This section defines the Default settings. Any of them may be overridden in the
# following Named Configuration sections. If they are not overridden, then the
# values here will be used.
# The default settings comprise two types of parameters: System parameters,
# which cannot be overridden in the URL, and User Parameters, which can.
# Parameters which are not marked as System parameters are User parameters.
# SYSTEM PARAMETERS
# These have fixed names and give information required by the Forms
# Servlet in order to function. They cannot be specified in the URL query

# Some parameters specify file names: if the full path is not given,
# they are assumed to be in the same directory as this file. If a path
# is given, then it should be a physical path, not a URL.
# USER PARAMETERS
# These match variables (e.g. %form%) in the baseHTML file. Their values

I was running this form out of Form Builder 10g. At some point I changed the Application Server URL (Edit => Preferences => Runtime menus) from:
http://ssbuechl2.div16.ibm.com:8889/forms/frmservlet?config=ttmsmenu
to:
http://ssbuechl2.div16.ibm.com:8889/forms/frmservlet?
So my customized configuration with all the WebUtil references was not being referenced and I was getting the error.
Dumb dumb dumb. -
Hi. We develop our 10g forms on the Windows side and then deploy then on our UNIX server.
I have an application that compiles and runs fine when deployed on the UNIX-side of things, but when I attempt to run it on the Windows-side of things I get the error:
oracle.forms.webutil.browser.BrowserFunctions bean not found. WEBUTIL_SEPARATEFRAME. IsSeparateFrame will not work.
If I acknowledge this message then the form continues to run, but if it attempts to execute the WebUtil Client_Host functionality then I get the error:
oracle.forms.webutil.browser.BrowserFunctions bean not found. WEBUTIL.HOST.Execute will not work.
Any suggestions as to what I might have messed up configuration-wise on the Windows-side of things? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Ugh. I wasn't pointing to the WebUtil configuration. All good now.

WebUtil - oracle.forms.webutil.ole.oleFunctions bean not found.
All,
We're using webutil 1.0.6 on forms 9.0.4. Stuck up with the following error at runtime 'oracle.forms.webutil.ole.oleFunctions bean not found.'.
In metalink, we noticed that webutil 1.0.6 should't be used with 9.0.4 unless some modification made on PLL. Unfortunately in OTN we can't find webutil 1.0.5 source version.
Anyone please tell us from where we can get WebUtil 1.0.5 source or how can we solve this problem.
Thank you very much.

Oracle.forms.webutil.file.filefunction bean not found
hi
i am using this code
declare
fname varchar2(200) ;
begin
fname := client_get_file_name(null,null,null,null,open_file,true) ;
CLIENT_IMAGE.READ_IMAGE_FILE (fname,'any','Img');
end ;
forms is running fine but when we press the button to open dialog for image file an error has been generated as under
oracle.forms.webutil.file.filefunction bean not found.
WEBUTIL_FILE.FILE_SELECTION_DIALOG_INT will not work
i think some think is missing in configuraion file need help on urgent basis
take care
Qaiser Hassan AwanI faced the same problem, I think the frmwebutil.jar could not be downloaded to you client machine, so I modified the archive_jini to be as follows
archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
assuming that frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar are located in folder on your ORACLE_HOME/forms/java
don't know exactly why but I think the
WebUtilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
could not be seen, so I had to put it in the archive_jini parameter
good luck -

Oracle.forms.webutil.file.FileFunctions bean not found
Please i need help to configure and use webutil.
I did all things that are in this blog: http://baigsorcl.blogspot.com/2010/01/open-file-dailog-box-example-using.html
Do I need to do all of this in the server? or in the machine where i am developing the forms?
Thank You!Depending on which Forms (AS) version you are using, in most cases the configuration is already setup for you. There are a few manual steps, but many are already done.
The error you are seeing is the result of one or more of the following:
1. You have not included the webutil configuration information in your call to the form. Oracle provides a default configuration for webutil. So as a test, include config=webutil in your url.
2. You have not correctly compiled/generated your form and/or webutil.pll. If you are creating your fmx from the command line, ensure that you include the compile_all=yes option. Do the same when generating webutil.plx
3. Verify that frmwebutil.jar is in \forms\java
4. Verify that your form includes the webutil objects.
Refer to the Forms Builder online help for more details about how to correctly add WebUtil to an application. The following is a page from the version 10 help.
http://www.oracle.com/webapps/online-help/forms/10g/topics/web_util/using.htm -
Hi all,
I use Oracle Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2 on XP platform.
When I start any form I get this error massage:
FRM-40039: Cannot attach library webutil while opening form MYFORM1.
I compile webutil.pll (Shift+Ctrl+K and Ctrl+T to generate PLX) and the problem was resolved, the form is started without problems but when I try to do some operation appears the following error:
oracle.forms.webutil.fileTransfer.FileTransfer been not found.
WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.getMaxTransfer will not work
In FORMS_PATH I have:
C:\DevSuiteHome_1\cgenf61\admin;C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms
and in this C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms location are my forms, and here I compile webutil.pll.
Please help!
Thanks in advanceyesterday i posted on my blog how to use WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER

Hi all,
I am getting oracle.forms.webutil.ole.OleFunctions class not found at design time in Forms Builder 10gR2 as well as at run time when working with webutil. Webutil is properly configured. I am using file uploading and downloading and it is working fine. but when I m working with CLIENT_OLE2, it is giving class not found exception. Can someone please help me to identify the problem.
Thanks in advance

Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production in this version the webutil is already installed but u have to sign jars and there is also some modifications
in formsweb.cfg.
please check this.
How to get up and running with WebUtil 1.06 included with Oracle Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2 on a win32 platform
Solution
Assuming a fresh "Complete" install of Oracle Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2,
here are steps to get a small test form running, using WebUtil 1.06.
Note: [OraHome] is used as an alias for your real oDS ORACLE_HOME.
Feel free to copy this note to a text editor, and do a global find/replace on
[OraHome] with your actual value (no trailing slash). Then it is easy to
copy/paste actual commands to be executed from the note copy.
1) Download http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jacob-project/jacob_18.zip
and extract to a temporary staging area. Do not attempt to use 1.7 or 1.9.
2) Copy or move jacob.jar and jacob.dll
[JacobStage] is the folder where you extracted Jacob, and will end in ...\jacob_18
cd [JacobStage]
copy jacob.jar [OraHome]\forms\java\.
copy jacob.dll [OraHome]\forms\webutil\.
The Jacob staging area is no longer needed, and may be deleted.
3) Sign frmwebutil.jar and jacob.jar
Open a DOS command prompt.
Add [OraHome]\jdk\bin to the PATH:
set PATH=[OraHome]\jdk\bin;%PATH%
Sign the files, and check the output for success:
[OraHome]\forms\webutil\sign_webutil [OraHome]\forms\java\frmwebutil.jar
[OraHome]\forms\webutil\sign_webutil [OraHome]\forms\java\jacob.jar
4) If you already have a schema in your RDBMS which contains the WebUtil stored code,
you may skip this step. Otherwise,
Create a schema to hold the WebUtil stored code, and privileges needed to
connect and create a stored package. Schema name "WEBUTIL" is recommended
for no reason other than consistency over the user base.
Open [OraHome]\forms\create_webutil_db.sql in a text editor, and delete or comment
out the EXIT statement, to be able to see whether the objects were created witout
errors.
Start SQL*Plus as SYSTEM, and issue:
CREATE USER webutil IDENTIFIED BY [password]
DEFAULT TABLESPACE users
TEMPORARY TABLESPACE temp;
GRANT CONNECT, CREATE PROCEDURE, CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM TO webutil;
CONNECT webutil/[password]@[connectstring]
@[OraHome]\forms\create_webutil_db.sql
-- Inspect SQL*Plus output for errors, and then
CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM webutil_db FOR webutil.webutil_db;
Reconnect as SYSTEM, and issue:
grant execute on webutil_db to public;
5) Modify [OraHome]\forms\server\default.env, and append [OraHome]\jdk\jre\lib\rt.jar
to the CLASSPATH entry.
6) Start the OC4J instance
7) Start Forms Builder and connect to a schema in the RDBMS used in step (4).
Open webutil.pll, do a "Compile ALL" (shift-Control-K), and generate to PLX (Control-T).
It is important to generate the PLX, to avoid the FRM-40039 discussed in
Note 303682.1
If the PLX is not generated, the Webutil.pll library would have to be attached with
full path information to all forms wishing to use WebUtil. This is NOT recommended.
8) Create a new FMB.
Open webutil.olb, and Subclass (not Copy) the Webutil object to the form.
There is no need to Subclass the WebutilConfig object.
Attach the Webutil.pll Library, and remove the path.
Add an ON-LOGON trigger with the code
NULL;
to avoid having to connect to an RDBMS (optional).
Create a new button on a new canvas, with the code
show_webutil_information (TRUE);
in a WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger.
Compile the FMB to FMX, after doing a Compile-All (Shift-Control-K).
9) Under Edit->Preferences->Runtime in Forms Builder, click on "Reset to Default" if
the "Application Server URL" is empty.
Then append "?config=webutil" at the end, so you end up with a URL of the form
http://server:port/forms/frmservlet?config=webutil
10) Run your form.sarah
