Oracle forums: Handle name after changing email

Hi All,
After changing my email, handle name on my old posts were changed to "974972" and all those old posts are not listed under my new accounts/handle name any more.
New posts work fine. Any help would be appreciated!

My Oracle Forums Handle Name Changed without my notice!!!

Hello Oracle Forums Moderators,
I joined Oracle Forums 04/04/08 with and email address (1). I decided to change my email address and handle names, so my forums handle name is cutedba and my email address is (2). I already had like 8 posts in oracle forums. Today when I logged to oracle forums I found my handle name is user8722709 and my posts resets to only one post (with this thread, it will become two posts).
and my joining date became 08/19/09.
I went to the control panel and edited the profile and handle name to cutedba. I received the following message:
"The handle you are trying to update is already being used, please identify any other value and retry."
and I logged as my new email address (2) as usual. Please fix this for me. Because I am the cutedba in Oracle Forums.
I also want to mark one of the threads I created earlier as answered but I can't the forum thinks I am not the author of that thread:

Ok, let's see if I understand this clearly (cos if I don't then I'm sure the site admin won't)...
1. You created an account (let's call it "Account 1")...
Acount 1:-
Email Address: [email protected]
Forum Notifications Email: [email protected]
Handle: {default}
2. You created a second account (let's call it "Account 2")...
Account 2:-
Email Address: [email protected]
Forum Notifications Email: [email protected]
Handle: {default}
3. You modifed Account 1 to change the Forum Notifications Email and the handle:
Account 1:-
Email Address: [email protected]
Forum Notifications Email: [email protected]
Handle: cutedba

all my forum participation were updated including post numbers.
What was updated? All you did was change your notification email and your handle on Account 1?You are right.
I also successfully login using email id (B) with the password, no issues.Yes, I dedicated an email account for oracle stuff and I used it to create an oracle account (Account B) because I couldn't delete/disable Account A from oracle.

5/ when I visited back Oracle Forums Today, I saw that my post count reset to 1 (last reply) and the system identified me as a different user (user8722709) than cutedba. It seams that Oracle forums end me up with two identities!!But you created two, so there will be two. ?:|Because oracle will not delete/disable account A

One more thing, I logged in to oracle forums using email (A) and my profile cutedba is there.Brilliant, that's what I'd expect.
I went to the Control panel and found the Username is still with email (A) but the forums email is with email and (B).Exactly, that's also what I'd expect.
But why still the the username did not changed and my profile is not updated yet?On which account?Account A
Occasionally, if OTN have been doing upgrades or such things, I believe the forums will move across to the failover servers, so sometimes changes to profiles may not be picked up or transferred back to the main servers. However, you said you'd logged in with Account 1 and it said cutedba on it.
I think it is the same bug in the forums.
I feel this too.
I wish if OTN has the ability to allow users to delete account that are no longer necessary, like my case here. Account A is no longer necessary for me but if switched the handle names between account A and B, I still can't get the credits and links for Account B profile.
How to report OTN bugs?

Handle name is my email address when I post?

I've created 2 accounts and with both accounts it appears my handle name is my name but when I edit the profile it shows my email address as my handle?
I've never posted or replied before and noticed today when I tried that when I do a preview my email address shows as the handle even when I have my profile set to not show my name or my email address?
I've read the FAQ's and help but don't see what I'm doing wrong.

IÂ´ve got the same problem and was wondering, why no one has it too.
I donÂ´t want my username to be my email adress. My profil shows my name as the handle, so itÂ´s curios that the email adress appears when previewing the post.
But itÂ´s also curios that in the Forum Settings my email adress is my handle. I have not expected differences between those.
So I am interested what appears when posting.

I have an iPhone 5 and after changing email addresses am having syncing issues with Outlook.

My calendar syncs from my computer to my iPhone but not from my iPhone to my computer. It used to sync both directions. I'm guessing the same is true of contacts. I've gone through all the tabs in iTunes. The calendars are checked properly but I can't find anywhere to say update information on computer using information of the iPhone. I fell like that used to be an option. I've tried restarting everything to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

And I forgot to mention I have just changed email addresses so with the old email it was all working then with the new email I'm only functioning one direction.

Macbook pro automaticaly changes names after sending email

My Macbook Pro automaticaly changes the names of a few of my contacts after I've send them an email.
For example I saved my parents email adress as: 'Pa en Ma', after I've send them an email it changes directly on all my devices to 'Pa en Ma Elly'. Elly, is my mom's name. I've probably used it in the past.
The problem is on my Macbook Pro, my iPhone and iPad seem to be saving the correct name. This is the case with 3 different names/persons.

You may try to call the support (they seemed to be quite much aware of the problem - password management between Ovi and Yahoo is veeery fragile), or then try to contact bretj in this forum. He sorted it out for me, but I think support would have done it also - sooner or later.
Lesson learnt: never change your Ovi password.

Can't open email and contacts after changing email address in iCloud

I changed my email address in iTunes and iCloud and now I cannot open email and contacts. The beachball appears and after about 2-3 minutes I get a message that the program cannot open. I'm ready to throw my iMac out the window. It is only a couple months old.

Back up all data.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the OS. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.

Having problems with email on iPhone, iCloud, and Automatic downloads after changing email.

I recently changed my email and because of it, I can no longer use iCloud or Automatic Downloads. Automatic Downlloads says "This device is already associated with an Apple ID. Please wait 80 days to associate it with another one." iCoud says "The max amount of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone". Also, when I try to send and email from my iPhone and I type in "M", the first letter of my name, it comes up with my old email address, although it is not part of a contact my the iPhone. Would restoring the iPhone in iTunes help in solving these problems?

Restoring your phone won't fix these issues. Once you turn on Automatic Downloads you associate your phone with a specific Apple ID, which can only be changed every 90 days, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627. However, just because you changed you email address doesn't mean you can't keep using your former Apple ID. As for you email question, the autocomplete email suggestions you get when addressing email cannot be removed without restoring your phone as new.

How to change sip address after changing email address for bulk users

We are in the process of adding new primary email address as [email protected] for 500 users.
current primary email address is [email protected] and
currently all LYNC users has sip address as [email protected]
Now we need to change the LYNC SIP Address as their primary email address ( [email protected]). does any one has script to pull the users from CSV and change the SIP Address as their primary email address.
I got below script from internet , but this is not going to help me, as this script is to enable SIP Address and mark the sip address as same as the email address.

Cannot log back into ePrintCenter using Google login after changing email address

I used Google login to create the account. Afterwards, I changed my email address from gmail.com to my other personal email address without thinking about the consequence. Now I can't login using my gmail.com address nor my other personal email address. What can I do?

I should be able to help! What was the email address you used to sign up originally? What was the second email address? Which is the address you want to use for the ePrintCenter?
Once I have all of the information I can remove the WRONG accounts so the RIGHT one will be usable.

Can't Update Apps After Changing Email Address

Recently, I changed my Apple ID from my Yahoo! Email to MobileMe. Now every time I try to update my Apps in iTunes or the Mac App Store, I can't update the ones that I bought when I used my Yahoo! Email address. I can still download the updates if I sign in with my Yahoo! account, but that gets annoying.

To answer you Oh yes I waited.... in fact almost 3 hours and it should not take that long..... I actually ended up restoring it and starting all over again. Seemed to work! We will see....

In our production system there was wrong email id in IT105 and so Work flow notification was sent to wrong email. Is there any way where I can change the email ID in the WF log and resend the workflow notification to the right emaployee from backend. Appreciate your time.

You cannot change the mail id from the log once the workflow is completed. You have come from the 1st. From SOST you cannot change the email id and resend it.
