Is there any profile option setting that needs to be modified to allow for access for first time users?

Rather than being something wrong with the client, i get the impression that a user needs to have certain access (HR or otherwise) setup in order to access an Internet Expenses screen (OAF page)

  • Oracle Internet Expenses getting self approved

    All,
We have implemented Internet expense in our instance but after a major patching , all the Expense Reports are getting self approved.
Is there any setting or profile option that should be set so that it uses AME for approval.
I have checked the AME Installed Flag profile option and that seems to be correct.
    Thanks,

Please see if (What approval methods are available for use with Internet Expenses? [ID 1228281.1]) helps.

  • Getting error while creating expense sheet in Oracle internet expenses

    Hi,
while creating new expense sheet i am getting following error
Approver: The specified approver is not defined as a user of the application. Please enter another approver, or select one from the list of values.
can you please enlighten on it.
    Thanks,
    Astha

Although the reply is late, but for further research.
The reason behind this message is that there is no username created for the employee assigned as approver while creating expense report.
Try creating a user in System Administrator > Security > Users > Define, for the emplyee assigned as approver.

    Hi Jennifer,
Are you using AME for Internet Expense Approval or Supervisory hierarchy.
If using supervisory hierarchy than Signing limits of approving user must be define.

  • MW not showing Internet Expenses pre-upgrade tasks

User logins to MW, Selects project from "Select Role" "Engineer", Select category "Prep for Upgrade" from Process Steps. An assigned task/step for that user does not appear. For this particular user it is Category=Prep for Upgrade, Prod Family=Financials and Procurement Task=Internet Expenses Step = Import expense reports into AP. All other steps for this user are appearing fine. Tried unassigning and reassigning, but still does not worked. Assigned task to an additional user and different user can not see it either.
    Verified from the Upgrade Guide:

    Release 11i to 12.1.1
    Part No. E14010-01
    page 2-12: Internet Expenses
Perform these tasks only if you are using Oracle Internet Expenses.
Step 1: Import expense reports into Accounts Payable (conditional)
Applies to 11i release level: All
    TUMS step key: OIE_IMPORT_INTERCOMPANY_CHECK
Perform this step only if you have intercompany data in Internet Expenses (OIE)
interface records that must be imported into Oracle Payables.
Customer doesn't have intercompany. Should the task be showed anyway or it is ok to be hiidden ?
    Thank you,
    Danilo.

    Hi,
    thank you for the reply.
Customer doesn't have the have intercompany data in OIE but they want to know why this is not showing, since they think if there is this problem other steps can be affected as well (required steps not showing) and the tool will not be trusted. I am trying to understand why this step is not showing, maybe it is a bug, or something.

  • Internet expense report migrate with Project budgetary control

    Dear All ,
Does anyone use Oracle internet expense and enable Oracle Project budgetary control  ?
Casue Oracle Project standard function budgetary controls are not enforced for project-related expense reports
entered in Payables , the expense report amout is not calculated as deduction of project available fund.
for example : create one expense report $100 , complete manger approval and export to Payables .  Project budget $150.
For out client  , the project  available fund should $50 . however , when I create one Procecument $80  and process fund checking . It will  be passed . because system considers the available fund is $150 ( not deduct expense report entry )  . Does anyone have workaround or customization solution ?

    Karol

IDM version: 11.1.1.2.0 (release version) Upgraded to 11.1.1.5.0 (Patchset version)

I have Jdeveloper 9.0.2 installed with Oracle 9i Developer Suite (9.0.2) on a Pentium III 600Mhz PC. The operating system is Win 2000.
To solve this startup problem of Jdeveloper, I uninstalled Oracle 9i Developer Suite (9.0.2) and reinstalled it completely. After reinstallation, Jdeveloper starts up again. The next day, and nothing else has been installed on the PC. I have the same problem back.
If I start Jdeveloper I have for a short time the hourglass (5 sec) Then nothing happens. The CPU usage goes from low (1%) to (100%), consumed by system and stays high forever.
What can be the problem? Has any one had this problem? Haven't seen this one. Did you switch the JDK to 1.4? There are issues with 9.0.2 under JDK 1.4.

    Hello people...
Somebody knows if it is possible that OCS 10.1.2 can use an existing Oracle Internet Directory 10.1.4?
Documentation specify compatibility with OID 9.x versions and obviously OID 10.1.2 and Certify list of Collaboration Suite for Identity Management specify only version 10.1.2 and no for the new latest version 10.1.4.
I think that both documents were written before the release of Identity Management 10.1.4. Are you test in your environments this configuration? works?
Thanks in advance for your comments...

A para in a metalink note states that ocs 10.1.2.3 portlets can be deployed on a portal 10.1.4 using IAS 10.1.2 infra structure(but i donot think that oid version is 10.1.4 ).
    According to Note:389677.1
Check the list of possible scenarios for OCS portlets - Portal coexistence to see, what is possible and what is not possible: ·
OCS 10.1.2.x is shipped with Portal 10.1.2.0.2 and the OCS 10.1.2 portlets can be used with a 10.1.2.0.2 Portal ·
OCS 10.1.2.x portlets can be deployed to a 10.1.2.0.2 Portal ·
OCS 10.1.2.0.0 portlets cannot be used with a Portal 10.1.4 ·     OCS 10.1.2.1.0 portlets cannot be used with a Portal 10.1.4 ·
OCS 10.1.2.2.0 portlets can be used with a Portal 10.1.4 and they can be deployed to a 10.1.4 Portal. This scenario is supportet, but not certified yet.Mandatory prerequisite is the OCS cumulative patch 10.1.2.2 (see Note 352989.1) or better OCS cumulative patch 10.1.2.3 (see Note 361082.1)

  • Oracle Internet Directory - query.

    Hello ,
I have query.. as below.. plz provide inputs..
While installing OID, is it mandatory to install Oracle DB... ?
If not, then any idea what is the DB used for OID in the backend ?
    Thank you,
    Gops

    Hi Gops,
Follow the below sequence to make your Oracle Database/RAC usage for OID at the backend
    1) Oracle Database 10g (Version 10.2.0.1). Install the database software only
    2) Upgrade the Oracle Database 10g from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4 (OID requires a Metadata Repository Database which is certified)
    3) Install Oracle Database 10g Companion for Ultra Search Option
    4) Create a database instance using dbca utility tool, with following DB initialization parameters to be updated while creation (aq_tm_process --> 3 , db_cache_size --> 157286400 , shared_pool_size --> 209715200 , java_pool_size --> 136314880, sesssion --> 500)
    5) Install MRCA on top of Oracle Database.
    6) Install Oracle Internet Directory using Identity Management Option.
Hope this will help you out.
    Thanks,
