Oracle Inventory - qty backorder should move back qty to originating subinv

Hi experts,
We're currently on Oracle Application 12.1.2, RDBMS 10.2.0.4.0. Currently, we have an issue within inventory module, would like to see if there are other users experienced similar issue. If you could share how you resolve your business issue, appreciate all your help.
In our Inventory module, we have setup these subinventories FG, SIT FG, SIT 207 FG. In the setup, during pick release process - the quantities will be moved from these three reservation subinventories to the STAGE subinventory. When ship confirm transaction happened, if material quantity is missing - it will be backorder. Our business would like the flow to be such that when the material is backordered, the qty should move back to the originating subinventory ie. if the order picked inventory from SIT FG at the time of the pick confirm, it should move back the qty from STAGE to SIT FG when the user backorder the stage picked line and reservations removed.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Jen

  • Delivery PGI should result in  412 E   OR   2 Mat. Movements back-to-back

    Hi,
We have a requirement where during PGI we don't want stock to move out of inventory, but simply move to from unrestricted to Sales Order stock. In short we want to post movement type 412 E.
Is this possible ? If yes, how (apart from Customer fn. nod to post the 412 E).
I can see in the item category config. that the system allows for 2 fields for movement type values. Can I configure it in such a way that we can post 2 movements back-to-back.
The only option we have as of now is to post 601 during the PGI and then run a custom program to post a MIGO transaction with an intial inventory adjustment.
    Thanks,

    Probably not helpful, but....
No one here can answer your question about future Apple plans.
    One, no one here knows.
Two, it violates the TOU to speculate about future Apple plans.

  • Delivered qty and put in stock qty not updated after GR reversal

    Hi,
We encountered a strange issue while making a 102 movement for a production order.
    Planned order qty  - X
    Production order qty  - X+Y
    Confirmed Qty  - X
GR posted for Splits of Qty X
    GR Posted for Qty Y
At this time Quantities in Production shows like
    Planned Order   X
    Order               X+Y
    Delivered          X+Y
    Commited        X
As wrong posting has been done for Qty Y, GR reversal has been carried for Y. After Reversal
Deliveried Qty and Put in Stock qty still shows X+Y.
This is an issue as settlement can not done as it has difference in quantities. This issue was nver observed earlier.
Looked for any available SAP note for this issue and couldn't get one. Any help to fix this issue or reference to any SAP note is appreciated.

    Hi,
Look into the Transaction : COGI.
If the entry is there act upon the entry.
If this is the case, suggested is to schedule the Program : "CORUPROC" in thr regular intervals.
    Hope this helps..
    Revert for further discussion..

  • Confirmation of the production order qty equal to sales order qty

    Hi Experts,
I need to control the confirmation of the production order should be equal to sales order qty.
I'm having the scenario as follows
If sale order qty for X material = 3
while running the MRP, system will plan the order qty as 8 because of we maintained rounding profile in the Material master and enhancement we used for this.
    Rounding Profile Qty=5
    Total Production Order Qty=8.
But, finally they will do the GRN for sales order qty only, remaining will be used for testing purpose.
So, the confirmation also has to happen for only sales order qty. There, we need to control the qty based on the sales order.
Is there any exit or Enhancement is available for this.
    Please help me.
    Naren

    Hi,
Exit for confirmation check is CONFPP04.
However, opening orders for quantities higher than demand and leaving pieces undelivered and unconfirmed in production orders does not make sense. I could not get the requirement of incresing production quantity by adding rounding value? Moreover, if rounding is to be used for test purposes, why not do you receive them into stock? Why don't you receive 8 pieces into stock, deliver 3 pieces to sales order and transfer 5 pieces to related department?
If it is because of MRP and you really do not want to produce extra 5 piece immediately, you may use material reservation or any other form of demand for 5 pieces, use EX for lot size calculation and have MRP create two planned orders for sales order and testing requirement, then you can convert planned order for sales order requirement into production order and continue processing.

  • Item import to oracle inventory from legacy system

    Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to import a very large number of items (close to 500,000) from a legacy system to oracle inventory.
We are using oracle open interface for this. We have designed a temp table for this purpose in order to validate data before moving it to the oracle interface tables. The data to be migrated is present in a separate data base and we need to move this data to Oracle temp table.
Can we use DB link to migrate this kind of data(in terms of volume)? Also what are the best practices that need to be followed while importing data to Oracle inventory? Is there any other way that this can be done?
Please share your thoughts and suggestions on this
    Thanks
    AM

    Hi,
Some times DB link will fail, Please create custom package and try to interface with legacy system for periodically fetching the data into your tables. If the data is bulk please use API instead of Interface tables.
    Thanks.

  • In Lion, sometimes clicking on close button or tabs doesn't respond as if the buttons aren't there, i have to move the cursor away and move back to make them work again, anyone can help me?

I'm not sure if anyone had run into this issue. Clicking the same place on the display sevral times will cause the click to stop working. For example, if i open safari and click on the Show Reading List button, it will work the first time i click it, but stop responding to my command as i click more, as if the button is not there, i have to move away the cursor and click somewhere else and move back to click the button to make it work again. And it happened everywhere, not just the show reading list button. The scrolling and moving are normal.
In fact, I have my trackpad replaced in an apple store for this issue but it turned out this is not a hardware problem, and it is not only my problem. Ironically, i found the same issue on several of the demo Macs inside the apple store. So anyone can help me here? Thanks.

Hi manni394, what version of Firefox are you running now?
Firefox 22 has a new way of setting the default zoom level: it is based on your Windows font size setting. So, if you set Windows fonts to 125% (enlarged 25%), your Firefox pages also will be enlarged 25%. On pages that do not adjust their layout, you may get a horizontal scroll bar.
To reduce the zoom on a page, hold Ctrl and tap the - key (the one on the numeric keypad or the one on the number row of the keyboard). The zoom should be reduced for each tap.
If you want to globally adjust your zoom level to be lower, you can use either of these add-ons:
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/ Default FullZoom Level]
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/ NoSquint]
If you already have one of those add-ons, check the default/global zoom level in case it needs to be adjusted.

  • PR qty in PO - Order unit Qty

Hi Happy New Year to all.
I have a material for which bas unit of measure is EA. Order unit is Box(1 Box = 6 EA). I have maintain conversion factor in mat master.
My question is that if my
PR qty is 6 or less than 6 then my order qty should be 1 BOX.
PR qty is 12 or less than 12 then my order qty should be 2 BOX.
MRP (VB) will be run every week.
PR created automatically by system in base unit of measure only. Is it possible to create PR in Order unit (BOX)?.
For example, when i refer my PR (qty 9) in PO, system picks the order unit as 2 BOXu2026.no problem)
But the real problem is that i have system message 00 06 076 as error message which is to check the PR qty in PO (My PO qty shouldnu2019t be more than PR qty). Due to this message i am not able to create PO(since PO qty exceeds PR qty in this case) .
Is there any way when the system creates PR with Base unit of measure along with order unit also?
    Thanks

    hi,
PR is always created with base unit of measure only.
If you want the order unit field can be displayed in PR by changing the layout which is not usually the
    case
    1) PO qty always less than PR and 2) rounding value is defined    these 2 contradict each other
You should solve this first.Either change the error message to warning or remove the rounding value in material master so that PO qty is always less than PR.
    thanks

    Help, please.

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Query Related to Oracle Inventory

I have to prepare a report in Oracle Inventory (R12) where I have to extract below fields
    1. Inventory Quantity Sold for previous days and weekly basis etc
    2. Quantity Physically on a shelf at a distribution center but commited to end customer
    3. Quantity transfeerd from one or more distribution center within distributor
    4. Quantity on order with manufacturer but not yet received
5.Quantity Intransit (Intercompany Transfer to the location)
But I am unable to derive those fields. Please help me to build the query to fetch those fields.

should I remove those PGA configuration and make it manually for sort_area,hash_join and workarea policy?Well, it depends on your database.
First, check statspack/awr and see if you are doing "disk sorts", and check your ratio of nested loop joins to hash joins:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_viewing_cpu_ram_io_costs.htm
Manual setting "alter session" commands, is, well, manual, and it would be best to let Oracle take care of it, IMHO.
    Hope this helps. . .

  • Can we move back an instance from end to previous activity?

    Hi,
Using Oracle BPM WL 10.3 MP2, Can we move back an instance from end to previous activity? If yes are there any ways to make this happen? I guess that instances which are aborted cannot be brought back from end activity? but not sure.
    Any ideas / suggestions?
    Thanks,
    -Sree

If the instance was aborted due to an exception, you could have an exception handler which would allow you to handle the error, and then retry if desired...
However, once the instance is at End, its done...

  • Excess Qty confirmation than Production order qty

    Hi
    SAP Experts
Is it possible to confirm excess qty of yield in co11n against Production order qty.
pl. guide me the steps required.
    with Best Regards
    Yogesh

    Yes,
If you do not waht to conform excess qty than the production order qty, then the following are the options
    - as our friend told in Work scheduling view the under/over delivery tolerance should be zero and unlimited delivery tick should not be active
    - In production order the under/over delivery tolerance should be zero and unlimited delivery tick should not be active.
    - In OPK4 fior the combintaion of plant and order type the following confirmation parameters are to be maintained
Under delivery - X error if qty below under delivery tolarance
Over delivery - X error if qty above over delivery tolarance.
With this settings you can avoid what you wanted.
