    Hi,
      I am migrating my JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 applications to JDeveloper 12.1.3. I am using classes in cache.jar which was available under <JDEV_HOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.javacache_11.1.1 folder. But, in JDeveloper 12c installation, I don't see that module under oracle_common. Please let me know how to get those modules installed for 12c. Thanks
    with best regards,
    Dhinesh Shanmugam

    JDev 11.1.1.7 to 12.1.3 migration is supported while 11.1.1.6 to 12.1.3 is not. Migrate 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7 before migrating 11.1.1.7 to 12.1.3.

    Hi,
    We are using jDev 11.1.1.5.0.
    I am facing the issue Entity row with key oracle.jbo.Key is not found in my entity object.
    I have EO based VO and I am performing some operations on the VO. Where you are calling stored procedure which deletes records in the DB ?
    Try to override doDML() i your entity impl, as follows:
    protected void doDML(int operation, TransactionEvent e) {
         if(operation == DML_DELETE)
              call_your_storedProc_here();
         else
             super.doDML(operation, e);
    Also, ensure that the procedure deletes the same set of records as well you in the middle tier.

  • Load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found Stuck at loading Java Applet

    Hi there
    I have recently installed App Server 10.1.2.0 on a new machine.
    Copied all my forms to an appropriate directory. Set up formsweb.cfg to allow them to run and have attempted to run them.
    Unfortunately I get stuck at the Loading Java Applet screen, and in the status bar at the bottom it says :
    load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
    I have taken a look at the Java Console, and the 2 things that jump out at me are that it appears to be looking for a forms90 directory, which seems odd since I am using App Server 10.1.2.0.2 and Forms Builder 10.1.2.0.2 meaning it should be looking in a forms directory not forms90 directory shouldnt it ?
    And also, it mentions class with no proxy, so on looking around the forums it has been suggested that put the proxy details into jinitiator, which I have done, but this has made no difference either.
    Can anyone suggest anything else please ?
    Java Console log follows.

  • Oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error

    Hi Members,
    I am getting the oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error when trying to access Oracle forms using APEX 2.2.1 and SSO.
    load:class.oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
    The forms have been compiled, forms path setup properly and the setup required to run forms seems to be right. Jinitiator has also been installed.
    I have searched the forums and tried everything. I have checked jinitiator settings, cleared cache and even reinstalled it. Do you have any experience with this error? Appreciate any answers. Thanks.
    Ravi.

    Dear Friends,
    I was also facing the same problem. to solve this, i have uninstalled Oracle Jinitiator. Cleared all the temporary internet files & cookies. Then while running the form, when it asks to install JInitiator, i have specified a different path for jinitiator, For Example, By default it asks for C:\programfiles, i have changed it to c:\manish directory.
    This has solved my problem. Probably this also help you.

    In my case, on my machine, the codebase virtual directory name is defined as forms60java and is mapped to the Forms_Home\Forms60\Java directory, which is where the f60allxxx.jar files are stored.
    Alias /forms60java/ "D:\Oracle\806\FORMS60\java/"
    Look out for the 6iServer.conf file on the Oracle9iAs installation of Forms. In this file you see the value used in your configuration. Open the formsweb.cfg file (assuming you are using the Forms Servlet) in the forms60/server directory and search for the "codebase" parameter. The value should be the relative path mapping in the 6iServer.conf file.
    You can test if the codebase value works in that you copy an image to the forms60/java directory and call it by
    http:// ..../<forms_mapping>/gifname

  • Error oracle.sql.* and oracle.jdbc.driver.* not found when using oracle as a database

    I am using oracle as database and weblogic 4.5. I have copied the classes12.zip file in lib directory of weblogic. I am getting the error that oracle.sql.* and oracle.jdbc.driver.* not found when i am importing these packages in a jsp file. what i need to do to import oracle driver packages?I put it in the classpath also.
    Please Advice!
    Thanks in advance
    AnuPama

    Hi Anupama,
    First of all I would be surprised if you would not like to use the connection pooling feature of weblogic (in which case you might not be needing the import the classes directly), and would like to open direct connections to your database. Anyways for doing that I would recommend you to check out the readme doc that ships
    along with the jdbc oracle (classes12.zip etc). I am giving an excerpt over here:
    These are a few simple things that you should do in your JDBC program:
    1. Import the necessary JDBC classes in your programs that use JDBC.
    For example:
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.math.*;
    2. Register the Oracle driver before before calling other JDBC APIs.
    (This is not needed if you are using the JDBC Server-side Internal
    Driver because registration is done automatically in the server.)
    To register the Oracle driver, make sure the following statement
    is executed at least once in your Java session:
    DriverManager.registerDriver(
    new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    3. Open a connection to the database with the getConnection call.
    Different connection URLs should be used for different JDBC
    drivers. The following examples demonstrate the different URLs.
    For the JDBC OCI8 Driver:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:oracle:oci8:@<database>",
    "scott", "tiger");
    where <database> is either an entry in tnsnames.ora or a SQL*net
    name-value pair.
    For the JDBC Thin Driver, or Server-side Thin Driver:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:oracle:thin:@<database>",
    "scott", "tiger");
    where <database> is either a string of the form
    <host>:<port>:<sid> or a SQL*net name-value pair.
    For the JDBC Server-side Internal Driver:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:oracle:kprb:");
    Note that the trailing ':' character is necessary. When you use
    the Server-side Internal Driver, you always connect to the
    database you are executing in. You can also do this:
    Connection conn
    = new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver().defaultConnection();
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • JDBC driver - Class oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver not found.

    Greetings:
    When I tried to compile an test script (as attached below) to test the driver, I always ended up with the following error message:
    ....java:17: Class oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver not found.
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    Could somebody shine some light on it? I would very much appreciate it.
    By the way, I have an Oracle DBMS (8.1.7) with jre1.1.7. My Java is jdk1.2 and the driver is ocijdbc8.dll
    Wil
    *************** The test script *************
    import java.sql.*;

    public static void main (String args [])
    throws SQLException, ClassNotFoundException
    // Load the Oracle JDBC driver
    Class.forName ("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    // Connect to the database
    // You can put a database name after the @ sign in the connection URL.
    Connection conn =
    DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:oracle:oci8:@US10", "QM24202E", "QM24202E");
    // Create a Statement

    ResultSet rset = stmt.executeQuery ("select USERID from USERS");
    // Iterate through the result and print the ... names
    while (rset.next ())
    System.out.println (rset.getString (1));

    check out what thomas Fly wrote on another discussion forum about connection with JDBC, i tried it and i haven't gotten it
    to work yet but at least i don't have the "... not found" error,
    you should try it too, and i think it's good to tell you that i
    still haven't installed the oracle client on my windows Me PC.
    Hope this help you
    This may help also... I have Oracle installed on a Linux PC at 192.168.1.4 on my LAN, listening on port 1521. I can connect from another PC (Linux / Windows ME dual boot, though running Windows at the time of this experiment) using the following program:
    import java.sql.*;
    public class sqlLookup {
    public static void main(String[] args) throws SQLException, ClassNotFoundException {
    String dbUrl = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.1.4:1521:ORA8";
    String user = "thomasfly";
    String password = "maverick";
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    Connection c = DriverManager.getConnection(dbUrl, user, password);
    Statement s = c.createStatement();
    // SQL code:
    ResultSet r = s.executeQuery("select * from members");
    while(r.next()) {
    // Capitalization doesn't matter:
    System.out.println(r.getString("Name") + ", " + r.getString("id") + ": " + r.getString("email") );
    s.close(); // Also closes ResultSet
    I downloaded classes12.zip for Oracle 8.1.7 and put it into the C:\Windows directory, and mounted C:\Windows\classes12.zip in Forte for Java (equivalent to adding it to the classpath if I were running the program from a DOS window, rather than in Forte).
    ORA8... capitalization may be important... is the name of my database, which may be found in the tnsnames.ora file in $ORACLE_HOME/resources.
    The query gets the Name, id, and email fields from the table "members" in the database.
    This is just a barebones program, and each time it's run, the Oracle listener has to be stopped and restarted before the program can be successfully run again.

    load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed.     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.getBytes(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.access$100(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)     at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)     at sun.plugin.security.PluginClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)     at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)     at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadCode(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletPanel.createApplet(Unknown Source)     at sun.plugin.AppletViewer.createApplet(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletPanel.runLoader(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source)     at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
    Can anyone guide me on how to get rid of this error ? Strange thing is that I've removed that f90all_jinit.jar and placed back the existing one (I took backup). But still it's showing the same error and not opening the form. I could and can not do anything without this error corrected.
    Please suggest me as soon as possible...
    thank you
    madhu.

    Hello,
    You need archive=frmall.jar in your section.

  • Integrating Google Maps in Oracle Apex and 404 Not found error page

    Currently using APEX version 3.2.0.00.27 installed in OracleXE version 10.2.0.1.0. Have been attempting to recreate some examples of Google Maps within APEX. Found a nice set of examples here that build up to what I'm looking to ultimately do by incorporating google maps into APEX:
    http://blog.whitehorses.nl/2009/10/04/integrating-google-maps-in-oracle-apex/
    Unfortunatly, I'm getting the "404 Not Found, Not found, The requested URL /apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server" page when I try to recreate the "Map with Search" example. I'd like to see if this really works using the html input and button tags in the body/region source versus creating APEX items to pass the address values to the javascript in the html header of the apex page. I'm thinking it's just an html thing within APEX that you have to do it a certain way, but I haven't managed to hit that magic combination. have gone to the google maps api v2 and looked at the html they use (it's what these examples with apex are based on) and tried that just to see. Same 404 result.
    I've seen suggestions at this forum and elsewhere that the 404 error is due to a bug. have been to metalink, and really haven't seen anything that spells out what the bug is and how to patch it or work around it. May be I just haven't found the right note/doc yet. have seen suggestions to change something associated with the Anonymous account that APEX uses. Have turned on authentication in the application to use an APEX user account with a logon page to the application. Still get the 404. Although, I have not adjusted anything elsewhere, like a DADS config file, because the apex/xe configuration is using the plsql gateway. Not sure of any procedure for changing settings on anonymous account when using plsql gateway.
    Open to suggestions. APEX 3.2 is customer version, so going to 4 may not be an option yet. XE, on the other hand, can certainly be swapped for an 11g version standard or enterprise edition if need be. I don't think this is a db version problem though. I think it's more on the APEX side of things.
    Anyway, any help or suggestions are appreciated.
    thanks

  • Customizing EBS Oracle Help - "404 File Not Found" Default page

    All,
    I am wondering if someone could explain to me how the Oracle EBS Application Help works.  For example, we have a custom form where we do not have a Help Page defined for the form so it sends me to a default page that says the following:
    "404 NOT FOUND"
    An error occurred while retrieving Oracle Applications Help information.
    Help target US/********* could not be found.
    My question is, when I clicked the Help icon, what happens after this?  It would typically find the correct Lang/Application/Form and reference a page within that directories APPL_TOP/help directory.  But when the page is not found something knows to send it to the specific oracle default 404 Not Found page.  Anyone know how this happens?
    Forgot to mention I am running on EBS R12.
    Thanks for any help!

  • Oracle.forms.webutil bean not found at forms initialization

    I'm trying to use the function Webutil_File.File_is_Directory
    But i'm getting the following error:
    oracle.forms.webutil.file.FileFunctions bean not found.
    WEBUTIL_FILE.GET_ATTRIBUTE_INT will not work.
    I believe this is not a configuration issue because
    this error only happens at forms initialization.
    I put this call at a WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE, at the forms initialization, the error happens.
    But when the form is waiting a user action, and the user raises the same WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE,
    the function works as expected.

    found my solution, see thread:
    auto start other form
