Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 Production download

Hi there,
Is it only me or the download is broken? I've tried using firefox and ie and all I get is an empty file!
TIA

I just tried and the link is working ok...
Using IE6...didn't wait for the whole file to come down (33 minutes to download from this hotel room!) but seems like a non-empty file.

    Hi,
That is definitely a product manager - positioning question (forum ID: oalonso), so I'd recommend that you ask the same question in the SES forum. The Text team has been monitoring that forum and answering most of the posts there, so you'd probably be more likely to get your question answered.

    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/index.html
you go the to standard "Oracle Technology Network License Terms " page at
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/htdocs/jdevlic.html?http://otn.oracle.com/software/products/jdev/htdocs/soft1012.html
    and then you get "http://www.oracle.com/errors/404.html"
funny this also happened to me last year when I was first trying to get the oracle 9i database for a class project, and had to get an Oracle person on the phone to go find it and send me a link for it. I need to get a working copy of the Oracle JDeveloper 10g (Version 10.1.2, build 1811)

  • Oracle JDeveloper 11g

    Ok. Another question.
    I was using Jdev 10.1.3.0.4.3673
I developed a good ADF BC - ADF Faces application (Always compiled it against Jdk 1.4.2 )
We have Oracle App Server 10.1.2.0.2 I upgraded the ADF libraries of this app server to ADF 36.73 version. So far so good. Deploed application works good.
Now, as I am developing new application, it TEMPTS me to download new Jdeveloper 11 g preview version and use it for development. Temptation is --- Newer version will be having more features, more powerful widgets and functionality.
    Pleaes advice me :---
a>Is my temptation using Jdev 11g justified.
b>Our App server is going to remain same 10.1.2.0.2 --- So what are the issues, I would face while deploying this new ADF application on this server. ? Issues in terms of ADF mismatch and therby needing to Run the ADF installer on the App server. Has ADF version in Jdev 11 g changed ? OR is it still 36.73 ?
c>After testing this Jdev 11g app on windows, can I deploy it on App Server running on solaris ? So is the ADF 11 g installer available for Solaris ??
d>Where can I find "Jdeveloper 11 g development guide for Pl Sql and Forms Developers " ? Remember that big documentation we have for Jdev 10.1.3 (with SR Demo examples etc ) likewise
OR, Is it that --- this is still NOT a right time to develop applications using Jdeveloper 11 g ??
    thanks,
    pp

    Hi,
    1) JDeveloper 11 is not yet production. So play with it but don't migrate production systems yet
    2) We know that ADF Faces RC may not be certified on 10.1.2. So you want to stay away from using ADF Faces RC. Because JDeveloper 11 is not certified fr backward compatibility, its too early to say if there us a chance to run the ADF libraries on 10.1.2
    3) There will be a stand-alone installer as it exist for 10.1.3. This doesn't exist yet for the reason i mention under 1)
    4) Its released incrementially and will be fully available when we go production. You can go to otn.oracle.com/products/jdev and follow the JDeveloper 11 links to the collateral. We expect the next update for the end of this month. Also note that 11 will have more than one developer guide because of the many features added
As said, play with it, but its not yet production and no support is being given

  • AS/400 and Oracle JDeveloper

A customer of our company has an IBM AS/400 and wants to connect
webenable some parts of his application. He doesn't want to
migrate to Oracle 8 or any other Oracle db, but he is willing to
    work with Oracle JDeveloper.
My question is: is it possible to connect to an As/400 db using
    JDBC?
I don't know if I can ask this question here, but maybe you can
    help me.
    Thanks.
    null

If I'm understanding your situation, you would use #2 to create #1. Oracle Access Manager for AS-400 is the transparent gateway that would allow you to create a database link from Oracle to the AS/400 system. I'm not sure what "IBM Client Access" means in this context.
As far as I'm aware, Oracle Access Manager for AS-400, and the other transparent gateway products, are not available for download from OTN. These are also separately licensed products, so you'll have to purchase some licenses before deploying this solution to production. Assuming you're in the proof of concept phase, you can probably contact your Oracle Sales rep and ask them to give you a trial copy-- I would expect that they'd be quite happy to give you a trial version, assuming your other Oracle licenses are up to date.

  • Oracle JDeveloper 6i Registry?

    Hi,
I am unable to install FORMS2JAVA Wizard that integrates with
Oracle JDeveloper 6i. When I execute the setup, it checks for
the regedit entry, but the JDeveloper installation is rather by
just unzipping the ZIP file provided by Oracle. How do I install
    then? Please reply.
    Steenie

I am not sure which version of FormsWizard you are using, but newer versions ask you to provide a JDK/JRE bin path first. Then, a Swing-based installation program will guide you through the process of finding the right JDev installation.
Please download the latest release from http://www.forms2java.com.

  • Oracle JDeveloper 11g (11.1.2.2.0) (Build 6183)Installations

I clicked the Studio Edition:11.1.2.2.0 Windows Install Download File button from the Oracle JDeveloper 11g (11.1.2.2.0) (Build 6183)Installations page. After that I clicked Save and a window displayed with the % complete. It goes to 99% complete and 1 sec left and this seems to hang at that point. I've left it going for several minutes and then eventually cancelled it. I have the correct jdk version. Any suggestions?

You mean the download hangs at 99%?
That its usually the point when your virus checker starts its work. Some such programs are known to have trouble with large archive files containing many files.
Try to download with three virus checker turned off.

    Hi Friends,
Please let us know wheteher Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.1.0) is certified / supported on HP UNIX (Itanium server) Release B.11.23
(i could only see Other operating systems with Sun-certified JDK 1.6 Update 24 or later is supported on certifiction matrix in addition to windows/linux/mac)
I don't find any installaer for thsi ? I could see only for windows/Linux and Generic. Do i ned to download generic one?
I don't find Installation Document for this?
    Please provide me the same.
    Regards,

    Hi,
don't know there is a certification for this platform. "Generic" however is the installer option for this platform. It requires you to have a certified Java SDK installed. JDeveloper runs on top of a JDK

  • Problem with "Oracle JDeveloper News" RSS ?

This message is probably misplaced but I don't know who to send it to. I keep getting the same message from "Oracle JDeveloper News" titled "New EA Step-by-Step Tutorials" dated 9/19/2005 4:46 AM with as malformed website address of "/technology/products/jdev/101/tutorials/index.htm". On last count I must have received at least 10 of them in the last 5 or 6 days.
Does anyone know who to contact to get it to stop? It's getting a little annoying.
    TIA

I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird - Version 1.0.6 (20050716). Judging from the question, I assume that others are not having this problem.
