  • Oracle JInitiator issue with Firefox 3 and IE7 - not working!

    Hi,
I'm accessing the oracle apps server through VPN using a Windows Vista system running Firefox 3 and IE 7. I'm able to log on and access the self service pages correctly. But I'm unable to access the form based pages. If I use the JInitiator 1.3.1.21, both browsers crash (though Firefox says missing plugin and mentions this version only). On installing higher versions of the plugin (28, 30), IE 7 keeps giving the message "installing components...oajinit.exe" and there is no more progress.
Could anyone please let me know what could be the issue and how to resolve it.
    Thanks in advance!

As I don't have access to metalink yet, can you tell me for my configuration what is certified and what browser I should use? I already mentioned that my OS is Vista and I have IE7. I realise that IE6 cannot run on Vista and now Firefox 3 cannot be used. So what JInitiator should I use for IE 7?The currently supported desktops for Release 11i include:
    - Win2K / WinXP + IE6 / Firefox 2.x
    - WinXP + IE7 / Firefox 2.x
    - Mac OS X v10.3.9 + Safari 1.3 and higher
    - Mac OS X v10.4.7 + Safari 2.0 and higher
    - Vista desktop clients running the native JRE plug-in on IE 7 ***

  • FRM-92095: Oracle JInitiator version too low!

    Hi everybody,
After I upgraded my Macbook Pro to the latest java of Oracle Java ver7 update 9 I am stuck.
I cannot luanch oracle from on an ERP V12 installation gettling the following error:
FRM-92095: Oracle JInitiator version too low.
I have try to follow the links to deinstall Java 7 and reinstall java 6.
The problem after this is the browser keep on say plugging missing and took you to the site to reinstall java 7 upgrade 9
    I tried the site: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559
    but it didnt work too...
    Please help.
MacBook Pro 13", OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

When I login from my Windows/Xp client machine to my Linux Server running R12.1.1. I get the message below:Was this working before? If yes, any changes have been done recently?
"FRM-92095; Oracle Jinitiator Version too Low. Please install version 1.1.8.2 or higher"
I really do not know what this means. Oracle EBS R12 comes with JRE so you are not supposed to download any Jinitator version. If you already have one installed, please uninstall it (via Control Panel > Add/Remove Software) and check then.
Can some one give me the steps on how to fix this issue--when I open a form from the client machine. Can you reproduce the issue using a different browser? What if you try from a different machine?
Please run AutoConfig and make sure it completes successfully.
    Thanks,

  • Oracle JInitiator version 1.3.1.26 + Firefox 12.0 + Windows 7 = fail

    Hi,
    I use Firefox 12.0 on Windows 7.
I've just installl the Oracle JInitiator Plugin version 1.3.1.26 and it doesn't work.
1- When I first login to Oracle EBS (11.5.10) it came this page (normal):
In order to access this application, you must install the Oracle JInitiator Plugin version 1.3.1.26. To install this plugin, click here to download the oajinit.exe executable. Once the download is complete, double-click the oajinit.exe file to install the plugin. You will be prompted to restart your browser when the installation is complete.
2- After install plugin and restart the whole thing, I still have the same page. Firefox doesn't recognize the plugin installed previously.
    Tx

The Oracle Jinitiator will NOT work with any modern Browser (IE 7+, Firefox > 3.5, Chrome, etc). You must use the Oracle/Sun Java Runtime (JRE) 1.6.0_16 or higher. You have to keep in mind that the Oracle Jniitiator is based on the Sun JRE 1.3 and it simply is not compatible with newer browsers.

  • Planning not working properly when user has Oracle Jinitiator installed

Hi we have a lot of users that have Oracle Jinitiator installed to use with a system named Banner. These users have a few issues when using 11.1.1.3 - the enter key is not recognized on web forms and users cannot see business rules to execute them.
Has anyone run into this type of issue and have any proposed solutions?
    Thanks

Thanks I'm not sure how this has been installed. we haven't had any issues with our 9.2.1 apps with this jinitiator but with V11 we have those problems.
Is the UTF-8 format the default installation option?

  • How to Install and configure Oracle Jinitiator

Before runing Forms9i i start oc4j and when i execute form it shows me
error and ask to install Oracle Jinitiator at the same time on oc4j command window
    show
    configFileName:G:\ORACLE\ORA90/FORMS90/SERVER/formsweb.cfg
    testmode: false

Assuming you want to use Jinitiator (instead of Sun JVM) you simple download the exe file and it installs in a minute. You can download it from otn.oracle.com/products/forms make sure you install the version our Forms is asking you to install

  • Oracle Jinitiator Digital Certificates

I need help installing Oracle Jinitiator. I have created the certificate by using the command "adjkey -initialze", but I am having trouble repackaging the certificate. The manual says to type "sh adjbuild.sh" but my computer does not understand the command "sh". What do I need to do? I have Oracle Apps 11.5.2 running on Windows 2000. Thanks....

I have just finished installing 11.5.3 for Windows 2000 and I did not receive any issues with it. Now please check following few steps -
    1. Install VC++ + service pack 4 (Lastest)
    2. Install MKS ToolKit
    3. Download GNU Make in one of the folder
    4. Set your paths as specified in the install manual of Oracle
    5. execute build32.bat file from GNU directory that will give you gnumake.exe
    6. Install Oracle Applications
    7. run "Command"
    8. Get to the directory of APPL_TOP and execute "envshell.cmd" - that will open another window with all the environment variables set.
    9. Now execute adjkey -initialize
    10. Get to directory %AD_TOP%/bin and execute command
    adjbuild.sh ...... /jinit18x.exe
    Should do it.

  • Oracle JInitiator for 64-Bit OS

    Hello,
I am trying to Install Oracle Jinitiator on Windows XP 64-bit. It gives me the following error.
    Program Cannot Start or Run
The program or feature "\??\D:\DOCUME~1\ADMIN~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\~EXB0000\DISK1\SETUP.EXE" cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.
    OK
Is there any 64-bit version available for download? Please suggest me the download link. I could not find it on internet.
    Regards,
    Kamlesh

I honestly will have to doubt if there even is one. 64 bit OSes are not quite industry standard unless in very niche areas like the video industry.

  • Oracle jinitiator for Windows Vista

    Hi All,
Is oracle jinitiator 1.3.1.25 compatible to Windows Vista? We have Oracle E-Business Suite 11i (11.5.10). Whenever we access the application, in Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6 or 7, the oracle jinitiator launch without any problem.
Now we have user using Windows Vista and whenever he open the Ebusiness Suite application, he can Log-In though but if he clicks any module and the jinitiator starts to launch, the application gets closed.
Is the initiator caused the problem? Is there any setup that we need to do first?
    Thanks,

May be you have to change file JVM.dll file in

try to download jvm.dll file which contains 2.20 mb size and replace it in the above said location.
    It may solve your problem.
Sure, applying a hack by changing one 10 year old .dll with an actual one (nevermind the 10 years of functionality that dll provides that might have changed) and do this on $infinite_number_of_hosts instead using an actual supported version of the JPI sounds like a good idea...

  • Incompatibility with Oracle Forms and Oracle JInitiator (1.3.1.22)

    Hello,
I've detected a problem that I don't know how to solve or if it's in my hands to solve it.
In my company we're using a SAP EP as intranet and it is the default web page when we open the Internet Explorer.
The problem is that since we use the SAP EP as home page, when I try to open the url of an application delveloped with Oracle Forms (It's like a ritch client developed in Java. The first time you execute it, it installs the Oracle JInitiator and then it runs the aplication locally every time you call the web) it doesn't work. It shows a connection error (FRM-92102), but it seems that there is a problem with the JVM.
If you open the Internet Explorer (or Firefox) with other page as home page, then the application works correctly and without any problem, but if I open it after opening our SAP EP (or other link SDN, ...) it doesn't work.
Does anyboy know how to solve it or if is it possible to solve it?
    Any help will be welcome...
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    jc!

    Hello,
I solved the problem applaying SAP Note 791765 (Mixed JSESSIONID Cookies from Different Servers)... I followed this steps:
    1. I opened Visual Administrator
    2. I went to servlet_jsp
    3. I changed the property JSESSIONID.CookieDomain value from SERVER to NONE.
    4. And I restarted the J2EE.
After that, JSESSIONID cookie is stored for the fully qualified name of the J2EE and it doesn't interferes in other domains...
    Thanks anyway and regards.

  • Funny: Oracle Jinitiator =  Java-Plugin ONLY for MS Windows

Oracle seems to have an agreement with Microsoft.
The product Oracle Jinitiator, which installs a java-plugin, can only be used on MS Windows OS.
And MS Internet Explorer seems to be the preferred browser.
But there is a nice SOD.
If i want to deploy my webforms - all users with netscape and Linux / Mac client platform have no simple installation
    or no support.
Does somebody really work with Webforms and Linux-/ or Mac-Clients successfully in production?
Sorry if i express my anger.

    Peter,
Oracle is looking for a better support of the other client platforms. However, before certifying a native VM or a Plug-in on a platform, we do run regression tests that need to be passed by the VM before getting the certification. In the past we had no luck with other platforms, though we tried the Java plug-in for Linux, Netscape native VM and did certify the MRJ for Macintosh.
Moving forward Oracle's strategy is to certify Sun's Java Plug-in, thus going away from our own Jinitiator development. If this works out, and we are working together with Sun on this, then you can run Forms on any plattform that has a Java 1.4 plugin available. So although we do not have a solution yet, it will be there soon.
Btw, we fully understand your anger about the solely support for the MS platform. It is not our intention to sell Microsoft stocks and we are looking forward to the cange mentioned above.
