What is best way to upgrated from 3.1.25 to 10.1.2.3?You cant directly update from 3 to 10.I would suggest you directly install by uninstalling 3 version because it is no longer supported and many errors. You can download it here

Hi,
I use Firefox 12.0 on Windows 7.
I've just installl the Oracle JInitiator Plugin version 1.3.1.26 and it doesn't work.
1- When I first login to Oracle EBS (11.5.10) it came this page (normal):
In order to access this application, you must install the Oracle JInitiator Plugin version 1.3.1.26. To install this plugin, click here to download the oajinit.exe executable. Once the download is complete, double-click the oajinit.exe file to install the plugin. You will be prompted to restart your browser when the installation is complete.
2- After install plugin and restart the whole thing, I still have the same page. Firefox doesn't recognize the plugin installed previously.
TxThe Oracle Jinitiator will NOT work with any modern Browser (IE 7+, Firefox > 3.5, Chrome, etc). You must use the Oracle/Sun Java Runtime (JRE) 1.6.0_16 or higher. You have to keep in mind that the Oracle Jniitiator is based on the Sun JRE 1.3 and it simply is not compatible with newer browsers.

We are using Oracle ERP in our company which is a web based ERP system. I am using firefox to work in ERP for convinieince pf working and using internet at the same time. This requires a plugin provided by oracle oajinit.exe to be installed in Plugins it is a JAVA plugin which opens the ERP Screens. This works fine in versions prior to 3.6 version of firefox. However, after upgrading to 3.6 version the forms do not open and firefox crashes. Due to this i am not able to upgrade to the latest version else i'll have to operate the ERP in internet explorer and using firefox for browsing which i do not want. The plugin used for the ERP is "* JInitiator 1.3.1.18 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)"
Firefox 3.6 needs the Java Second Generation Plugin which comes with newer versions than 1.6.0_03 - update Java, the latest version is 1.6.0_22

FRM-92095: Oracle JInitiator version too low!
Hi everybody,
After I upgraded my Macbook Pro to the latest java of Oracle Java ver7 update 9 I am stuck.
I cannot luanch oracle from on an ERP V12 installation gettling the following error:
FRM-92095: Oracle JInitiator version too low.
I have try to follow the links to deinstall Java 7 and reinstall java 6.
The problem after this is the browser keep on say plugging missing and took you to the site to reinstall java 7 upgrade 9
I tried the site: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559
but it didnt work too...
Please help.
MacBook Pro 13", OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)When I login from my Windows/Xp client machine to my Linux Server running R12.1.1. I get the message below:Was this working before? If yes, any changes have been done recently?
"FRM-92095; Oracle Jinitiator Version too Low. Please install version 1.1.8.2 or higher"
I really do not know what this means. Oracle EBS R12 comes with JRE so you are not supposed to download any Jinitator version. If you already have one installed, please uninstall it (via Control Panel > Add/Remove Software) and check then.
Can some one give me the steps on how to fix this issue--when I open a form from the client machine. Can you reproduce the issue using a different browser? What if you try from a different machine?
Please run AutoConfig and make sure it completes successfully.
Thanks,

Oracle Forms 6 to Latest version
Hi all, now am I in deep water. I'm totally newbie on Oracle Forms.
We still have Oracle forms 6, and we use it for a old Tuxedo service repository.
I guess that we are not the first to upgrade to something newer, so I hope there is someone out here who can
help me with links or some other info where to start looking.
Anyone?
Thanks in advanceYes, the number of people still using forms 6 have become smaller now. There was a major release of 10g after that, and last summer, FMW 11g came out which offers the latest version for forms too.
Please see this link for [forms upgrade guide from 6i to 11g|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/doc.1111/e10394/toc.htm]. Do not expect that you will be able to do anything by reading just one or two documents. So first spend some good amount of time in reading documentations before jumping into implementation. -
Access to the latest version of Oracle for Windows/Linux
I teach an advanced course about databases and XML at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. For that course I use Oracle as one of the platforms and the version available on the oracle website has certain annoying bugs that relate to the XML functionality. Those bugs have been fixed in the latest version (according to the documentation), but the latest version is not available for download without a support identifier. It has been over a year since the latest version came, so how come the download page still offers the old version? Is there a possibility to get access to the latest version somehow for use in my course? Is it possible to update the web page (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html) so that it offers the latest version?
Any patched version is available only for the customers who have the valid support contract and have access to MOS. Either you ask for a support contract being an education center or should purchase a support contract. You can look at different options available from https://store.oracle.com .

Latest version of Oracle ADF Faces?
What is the latest version of Oracle ADF faces? Is there a single place where you can always download the latest and greatest?
I have the API and Impl libraries (and the adfshared too) from JDeveloper. They are part of Early Access 19 I believe. But what version of ADF is used in this demo (link below) that is included with the adffaces-skin.war file? Would EA19 be more recent and work with it?
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/101/howtos/adfskins/index.htmlOh, and I will mention, in the version that comes with the skins demo, the manifest file says
Implementation-Version: 10_1_3_0_4
In the version that comes with JDeveloper, the manifest file says
Implementation-Version: ea19

Latest version of OracleAS Portal
Hi
I would like to know what patches and sequence needed to update and have the latest version of OracleAS Portal.
Begining with Oracle Application Server 10gR2 (10.1.2.0.2).
TksYou will need two steps to upgrade to the latest version.
From 10.1.2.0.2, you need to upgrade to 10.1.4.0.0 (which is a major portal upgrade). And then apply a cumulative patchset 10.1.2.3 to go to Portal 10.1.4.2.
Please consult the following metalink note on latest portal upgrade routes.
Subject: Master Note for OracleAS Portal Upgrade Issues
Doc ID: Note:262623.1
hope that helps!

Latest version of Oracle database
Pl tell me the latest version of Oracle.
Then i let you explain to tens of thousands of Siebel
customers why Oracle uses Actuate :-)[snip]
You're more like competing with IBM , SAP and
Microsoft on these markets[ps: I'm not 'Oracle'. Don't even work for them. So it ain't "You're" ... <g>]
You totally miss the point. My apology for being obtuse. Let's try this again, a bit more straight forward.
This is a database forum. Specifically an Oracle core tech database forum.
It is not a BI forum. It is not an Actuate forum.
It is a database forum.
Maybe it's just me, but when a person asks "what is the Latest version of Oracle database", I would expect an answer related to the database version. Not an Oracle competitor or third party product.
Seems to me people interested in Actuate would normally go to places where Actuate users participate. And people who want to troll or discuss the virtues of Actuate would go to an appropriate BI forum elsewhere in the Oracle Forums.
Again, apologies for not being clear in the original response.
