Here is some what i can say abt this topic
Oracle Core Contracts is majorly divided into 2 categories
1) Sales Contracts
2) Service Contracts
There is some base setup which we do in Core Contracts which is required for the implementation for Sales and Service Contracts, like Auto Numbering and etc.
Now Oracle has given the New Category which is Oracle Lease Management.
Since this is also a contract, the base setups are carried out in Core Contracts.
OLM is majorly built on financial modules like AP, AR, GL, Collections and it is also integrated with some other modules like FA and some of the CRM modules like Fulfillment, CRM foundation and Pre-sales Module.
For Service part they use one small module called as Lease Center.
There is lot of Stuff in OLM like the streams which are generated from a 3rd party system.
Vendor Funding, Termination, Master Lease Agreements, Vendor Program Agreements, Formula's, etc, etc are present in OLM.
It's a HUGE world
Actually OLM is all together different. It has flows which is called as Key Business Flows (KBF)
So in my words i would say that Oracle Contracts supports Lease Management
After all Lease is a part of Contracts :-)

I am implementing Oracle lease Management along with Oracle Advance collections in R12.So i want to know the end-to-end flow of these modules including the integration of these two Transaction process flows.
I have been refering the user guides and the implementation guides -but i didn't get the proper flow of these two-so please help me in this.

As the permutations for a transaction are many, however in summary the Lease Management life cycle is as follows;
Sales;
Origination;
Maintenance;
Termination;
Post Termination;
Accounting;
Inquiry;
In Lease and Loan Contracts these cover;
Opportunity to Lease Sales Quote;
Credit Application to Booking;
Invoice to Receipt;
Quote to Termination;
Asset Return to Disposal;
Accounting Period Open to Close;
Inquiry to Resolution.
You could add on to these the flows for 'Investor Agreements' and 'Vendor Programs', but not sure if the above is going off on a tangent to your query.

Oracle Lease and Finanace Management

Hi,
Please let me know if the Oracle Finanace and Lease Management module be implemented for a lessee in order to manage their leases.
My client is a car rental company who leases vehicles from the Toyota Finance. There are about 500-600 leases at a given time.
We tried to use the lease management funaciotnality within the Oracle Fixed Assets. However there a limitations when using the fixed assets module to manage the leases. These are such as being unable to update the lease contracts which are in use, not being able to pay out a lease before the end of the lease and there's no facility to upload the leases without having to create them one by one etc.
Can someone please let me know if the Oracle Lease and Finanace Management can be used to manage the leases for this company ( Who is a lessee ) .
And also please let me know the other options available.

Documentation on Interface tables for lease management

Hi i found out the following interface tables for lease management
but couldn't find any documentation or information of the mandatory columns to be populated in these tables
is there any documentation provided in R12 for the following tables?

i would like to know the validations that are performed on the columns
the concurrent programs which does the import of data from these tables to base tables
something which oracle provides for interface tables in their user guides or implementation guide. (Example for GL_INTERFACE the column level validations are given in GL user guide).
i couldnt find such document for lease management.

Templates Project Setup and Lease Management Setups don't show up during selection set creation

I am new to iSetup.
I have just installed iSetup using the Isetup List Of Mandatory Patches For R12 (Doc ID 811040.1)
I don't find the following templates needed by my users to create selection sets:
- Projects Setup
- Lease Management Setups
Any idea why they don't show up?

It's not a backup restoration.
I'm a newbie, I installed Oracle on my computer. In the installation, Oracle allows to create a database. I didn't change any setting information, excepted set the database's password.
Oracle was successul installed.
The database setup (wizard) failed.
The listener was not created.
When the wizard step run "Creation and starting an Oracle instance", I get ORA-03113.
I don't know the log I sent to you is the good log. I'm not sure. My database name is "Essai1"
Do it is some files that I could send to you?

Oracle property manager

I am calculating rent increase schedules on property manager and i am stuck on two cases
scenarion 1
Rent is 200K per year
rent increase is 10% per year (compound)
service charge is constatnt at 50K per year for the whole lease period.
scenario 2
rent is 200k per year
rent increase: 10% for the first 5 years, 15% for the remainder of the period.
service charge varies and is determined every year.
assume the lease period is 2008 - 2020
kindly let me know how to input these details in the system so that the correct payment chedules are generated every year.

Creation of PO's from Oracle Order Management

Required Business Scenario
Customer orders are received via the internet and imported into Oracle Order Management via an open interface table. The customer orders are processed by Oracle OM and converted to Purchase Orders which are then sent to suppliers (as no stock is held at our site). Goods are then shipped directly to the customer by the supplier. We take a commission for the service offered.
Problem
As we take a commission for the service described above, the value of the Purchase Order will be different to the value of the original order received via Order Management, however Oracle Purchasing does not allow you to place a Purchase Order on a percentage basis terms. (we will take a small commission as a percentage of the value of the original order meaning the value of the Purchase Order will be slightly less than the value of the original order). The following scenario attempts to explain the situation:
Order received via Oracle Order Management
5 units @ $20 = $100
Purchase Order created from above order (required scenario)
5 units @ $19.70 = $ 98.5
Our commission @ 1.5% = $ 1.5
Has anyone encountered this scenario before? If so I would appreciate assistance in how to resolve this issue. How can we create a Purchase Order from the order received via Order Management which will have a different value and allows us to take a percentage as commission?

Unable to log-in in Oracle Identity Manager Design Console

Hello,
I successfully installed OIM9.1.0.1 Identity Manager on Jboss4.2.3.GA App server and could login to OIM using http://llocalhost:8080/xlWebApp on my window Server 2003 system without any problem.
Then I installed the Design Console on my window XP system. However, after successfully installing the Design Console, I could not login using the xelsysadm user ID.
I checked to make sure that xlconfig.xml contains the right URL file under oim_designConsole directories.
The error I get from the Design Console login window is:

Unable to import the user certificate into the Oracle Wallet Manager

Hi,
I am configuring the External Authentication plugin using the password filters.
i am using the version 10.1.0.5.0 version of Oracle Wallet manager
inorder to do that i am enabling the SSL mode.
to enable the SSL mode i followed the some steps in OWM and OCA admin and user console.
when i approved a certificate as admin and importing to the Oracle Wallet Manager, i got an error that
User Certificate Installation failed.
Possible errors:
- Input was not a valid certificate
- No matching certificate request found
- CA certificate needed for certificate chain not found.
Please install it first

I would like to know if anyone has successfully implemented the complete suite of IdM. If yes, please share this experience. I want to clarify the definition of "successful integration". It should include the following:
- SSO for Partner applications
- SSO for External (third parties) applications
- Provisioning and Synchronization
- Delegated Administration
- WNA with Kerberos
- SAML implementation (optional)
I would appreciate all answers on this subject

To restart from your initial question, it's quite strange because the components you mention are all included in the AS10g Enterprise Edition or in AS10g Portal, and are perfectly integrated. I know numerous customers which use Oracle Portal, for instance, and leverage on SSO (patner or external), Delegated Administration (DAS) , Synchro with AD server and Windows native authentication, without a single line of specific code. Provisioning is done automatically by DIP in the case of Portal with AD, as well, or with a Human resource system. Even the password synchro can be made betwwen AD and OID (Oracle LDAP)
Now, it's a sligthy different discussion if we consider the recent acquisitions made by Oracle, and which are sold in the so call : Oracle Identity management 10g.
OAM (previously Oblix) is a more ambitious product that Oracle SSO.
OIM (provisioning and identity management) is far more sophisticated than Oracle DIP.
The goal, for Oracle, is to unify the workflow engine and the Human interface (with ADF). This task is probably on the rails for the next year.
OVD (previously OctetSting) is an architectural component which allow virtualisation of LDAP server.
About Federation, OIF allow all existing Oracle Portal customer (using SSO) to rely on SAML tokens in order to trust partners site.
So, in my opinion, acquisitions oblige to make a substantial effort to unify human interface and make arbitration between some concepts, but it's within the Oracle means.

Problem with console in Oracle VM Manager

I have installed Oracle VM 3.0.3 and Oracle VM Manager 3.0.3 is install on Oracle LINUX 5.6. I cannot get the console to work from either the Oracle VM Manager server itself using firefox or remotely from Windows running IE or Chrome. After looking at version posts I have installed tightvnc-java-1.3.9 and ovm-console-1.0.0. The symptoms are different locally and remotely. First locally on the OVM Manager server with firefox. I click on console and a pop up asks if I want to run ovm_rasproxy-ws.jnlp click OK and things go crazy, multiple tabs open and keeps going until I kill firefox or the server runs out of resources. On the remote PC I click console and things just hang and nothing happens. Checked firewall settings, iptables is not running, I can telnet to port 15901.
Any ideas

ovm_rasproxy-ws.jnlp --> need open by javaws . search the javaws path . or maybe you can install sun java version 7 1st . remote pc
need install realvnc and java jre ( try install java version 7 )
version 3.0.3 - for IE need IE 9 and above.
