ORACLE LITE Using for mobile CRM

We are developing a CRM application and intend to use Oracle lite in order to enable working offline.
Has anybody done such a project or similar one?
Can you please share your experience with me?

Please note that Oracle Lite is no longer being actively developed, and no further releases are planned. The recommended small footprint database from Oracle is Berkeley DB.

Data not arriving in oracle lite using qbased syncing

I am currently having difficulty adding new publication Items to our current queue based syncing in Oracle lite.
I have set up the Queue using : createQueuePublicationItem
I have set up the Index using : createPublicationItemIndex
I have added the publication item using : addPublicationItem(
I have added the user to the new PI using the screen. This I think should be everything. Unfortunately what happens is that the data gets as far as the out queue tables ie mobileadmin.ctm$ppec_pi for my new PI of ppec_pi. But when I go onto the olite database on the client device, the new table is created, but there is no data.
Is there something I am missing,

I did redefine the table, so all columns that are part of PK index and used in my SQL statement are data type NUMBER.
My unique index is (dc_nbr, company_nbr, offering_group_id, offering_id), the same columns are used in my WHERE clause.
Still Oracle Lite always builds the large temporary table before it goes to this temp table and sequentially reads and returns first 19 records.

How to install Oracle Process Automation for Mobile

I want to install Oracle Process Automation components for Mobile.
I have downloaded the V20466-01.Zip file from Oracle Website, i dont find any setup file to intall OPA.
Please let me know how to install OPA( i already installed Oracle Process Modeling).

There's no installation for OPA runtime components. For the OPA 10.1 .NET package (V20466-01) you need to decide which components you wish to deploy and then follow the corresponding section in the installation guide.
As we don't provide any Windows Mobile applications, the process would be to develop your own .NET Compact Framework application, referencing the mobile determinations engine and it's dependancies, and then deploy that application as you would normally deploy a Windows Mobile application.

ORACLE Lite conduit for Palm

I had a lot of fun getting the Oracle Lite for handhelds install to work. Now I get the following error on hotsync:
Unable to initialize threads: ,en
Can't create Java VM
OK Oracle with 2 message(s)
Has anyone actually managed to get this to work? Any help will be appreciated.

I have the same problem. So I tried Java v1.2.2, but ORACLE conduit disapeared from Hotsync and during synchronisation nothing happend. Then I installed Java 1.1.8 again and "Can't create Java VM" appeared again!

For CRM Functional Consultant interaction of the CRM system with other SAP and Non-SAP system is a major issue. The consultant takes care of all the details and suggests the possible Integration Technology with the help of a technical consultant. Oracle SSHR Interfaces for Mobile Development

Dear All,
We have a following requirement on top of Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.
We need to access certain functionalities of Oracle Self Services Human Resoures (SSHR) like Apply New Leave, Leave Approval from various mobile applications (iOS, Android, Symbian OS, Blackberry OS, Windows Mobile). This will enable our executives to do some basic leave related functionalities on the go through mobile.
We are planning to develop the mobile frontends and wants to interact with the Oracle SSHR to save and retrieve the leave related information with workflow functionalities.
Can any one guide us on how to do this? Is there any interfaces provided by EBS which does the functionalities along with workflow features.
Note: We know that Oracle EBS 12.x support IPhone and Ipad using Oracle Business Approvals. But our company has no near term plans to upgrade our EBS to 12.x
Requirements Summary
1) Create New Leave, View Leaves for Approval, Approve/Reject Leave with comments
2) Should support various mobile OS platforms like iOS, Android, Symbian OS, Blackberry OS, Windows Mobile
3) Should support Workflow functionalities offered by EBS

I think there is no need to complicate it you can just enable the approvals through email so whatever the mobile used the manager will receive an email and he can take action through email.

Question About what Azure Services I should be using for mobile app with website.

I am wondering what Azure service would be best for my new application. I need to have an SQL database that I can connect to and modify from both a website and a mobile app preferably WP8 and Android. I was not really understanding whether I would need a
mobile service or normal SQL database. Which should I use or am I completely off track?

Mobile Services uses SQL Database, nothing special on that SQL Database, its just like any other "normal" SQL Database.
Mobile Services provides "back-end services" that simplifies accessing SQL Database, Notification services, authentication, etc...
Let's assume you don't use Mobile Services, to use SQL Database, you would need your app (both mobile and web) to connect to the database. In practice, you will not want to expose your SQL database directly, so you'd end-up writing some kind of a "facade"
that your app will access instead of directly connecting to the database.
Instead of writing that "facade", Mobile services provides that for you (you still have to write code though, but less than what you need to write if you're rolling your own).
Both your web app and mobile apps can share the same SQL database (pay attention to the mobile service schema).
To help you decide, ask yourself what other features will your mobile app require? Authentication? Notification? etc... are you prepared to write those on your own or use various libraries instead of one?

Oracle Lite Support for Nokia E-Series (Symbian OS 9.2)

Are there any plans to support the Nokia Enterprise Series of handsets running the Symbian OS 9.2 in the near future (i.e. E60/E61/E70).

currently do not support FL2.
Nokia will release FL2 on the 3rd edition feature pack

[Mobile] Spotify Lite Version for Mobile Apps

Spotify is becoming is becoming a "heavy' app for some old smartphones. So my question is andI don't know if it is allready asked, is there any way possible to let people choose for the full application or choose for a semi application with less functions, but they can still listen to there music.
I was thinking about when installing, semi app recommed for old smartphones or full app ... . And let people choose even later in options.

+1 for this. it's taking a while to lad on my 2 year old ipad mini, so this would probably help. though in my case, it's going to be an iOS install that needs to ho on a diet.i haven't worked out if it's the player part of the spp that's swelling or additional social aspects of the app that sre growing in size unecessarily.all things said, a music player shouldn't really need to be 75mb+.the android install on my htc m8s is about 13mb, by comparision, less than 2 thirds of the install size.

7.4.3.1 Enable a Platform for Your Mobile Client
Not all of the possible platforms are enabled on the Mobile client setup screen. To enable a platform for your client device, do the following:
On the Mobile Devices screen, click Platforms.
On the Platforms screen in the Search pulldowns, select the language and either Disabled or All and click Go.
Select the platform name that you want to enable.
Enable the device by selecting Yes in the Enable pulldown.
Click OK. The device is now enabled and will be visible in the client setup screen.

I was on the Platform screen before, but missed the "Enabled" setting under Search. I looked at the screen and saw only the enabled list, and assumed this was 'all' of the platforms....
Once I switched the search setting from "Enabled" to "All" I saw my disabled SQLite options.
7.4.3.1 was under 7.4.3 Extend or Create a Custom Platform. Wasn't trying to do either of these, so never looked under there before. Only ran into it when I was going to attempt to create a custom SQLite platform.
I thought it was just a bad setting somewhere.... Just couldn't find where....

XE for Oracle Lite

Is it possible use Oracle XE as back-end Oracle database for Oracle Lite clients?
And how about java support?

Technically it would depend on what dependencies the sync server that Oracle Lite uses. I believe that it has java dependencies, so probably not. I will check with the Oracle Lite developers.
From a license point of view, we will have to decide. Given that we don't see XE as suitable for a master in a replication environment, I doubt that we will see it as suitable for the equivalent functionality in an Oracle Lite environment
