Enjoy...
Wayne.

My site is currently in the process of installing the tool. However, we are having a bear of time getting with browser helpers for a win7/IE 8 combinations. We have been able to record and playback uing FF 3.6. We have been looking at a number of dated forum entries and tried those suggestions without any luck.
Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

This can happen in the following scenarios:
    1. You are passing a rowkey for a row that doesn't exist anymore.
    2. Your rowkey values no longer match the row's attribute values becuase the row has been edited.
    3. You obtained the row key from one view object and are trying to locate the row in a second view object and the criteria for the second view object doesn't contain this row due to its query criteria.

    Hi-
You can use below manual installation proceeds as follows :
Step 1. Download a setup for Windows and run it on a Windows machine.
Step 2. Once the setup is finished, FTP all the following files and folders from your Windows machine to you Sun Solaris server :
the entire 'bin' folder (excepting the '.bat' files) - ASCII transfer mode
the entire 'lib' folder - BINARY transfer mode
the entire 'drivers' folder - BINARY transfer mode
Step 3. Once you have transferred all the files, do not forget to configure the odiparams.sh file according to your environment. Also add the appropriate files, used by ODI to connect to your technologies, to the 'drivers' folder.
    Does it helpful?

  • When is oracle 11g R2 will be available for downloading

when is oracle 11g R2 will be available for downloading

If you're talking about the database, it's available now.
If you are talking about the next release of JDeveloper, Oracle hasn't (and generally doesn't) announced a date.

  • Is a JSP Tag Library providing Oracle Financial look and feel available

We are going to use Oracle Financial as part of our future application.
That is why other parts of it (which we plan to develop using JDeveloper)
have to have the same Look and Feel.
Is a JSP Tag Library that provides Oracle Financial Look and Feel available?

Oracle Applications use BC4J, UIX, and JDeveloper.
The UIX framework implements the Oracle "Browser Look And Feel" (BLAF) that our Oracle Applications self-service applications use.
The UIX JSP tag library lets JSP developers do the same.

  • OTM error: oracle.oats.jagent.exception.FatalJavaAgentException

    Hi all,
I have created a whole host of OATS scripts that run on my pc. Most of these scripts make use of databanks. I have ensured that the scripts are set up to point to databanks 'Relative to a Repository'.
Now we have moved the repository to a server, which hosts OTM, from where we wish to run the test scripts. With the first script tested, using OpenScript, there were no problems. However, when running the same test script from OTM, we get the following error:
oracle.oats.jagent.exception.FatalJavaAgentException: unable to create stand alone databank provider
    Any ideas?
    Blu

This might not be the same issue, but I recall having similar problems when we first started using OLT from a shared repository on the server. Firstly I ended up having a mapped drive in Windows in order to specify the shared directory for scripts/databanks. Secondly I found that setting the parameter to work "relative to script" (rather than repository) worked.
I must admit I keep meaning to re-visit this (as keeping things "relative to repository" would make more sense) but "it just works". I vaguely recall there was a bug in one of the pre-v9 versions (but I think that was more to do with the mapped drive).
One of these days I'll find to time to re-evaluate this :)

  • Newbie Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g feature availability question

Newbie question here. I am new to Oracle 11g and new to this forum. I ran a search on this question and came up empty so hopefully there is a kind and knowlegable soul wo can help.
I recall in earlier versions of Oracle Enterprise Manager for earlier versions of Oracle there was something called Oracle Enteprise Manager Reporting accessible from the OEM web.
One of its key features was the ability to make custom "Additional Reports". In our current environment this is installed and works great. I don't know if it was an add on to OEM, or if it was built in. It was built a long time ago and I wasn't arround for that build. All I know is it works and it suits our needs.
Well we are now trying to build a new Oracle dev box to replace the current dev environment. We would prefer to not lose any existing functionality we have... and if possible not have to reinvent the wheel. The new box has Oracle 11g.
**Here comes the dumb newbie questions. **
Does Oracle 11g Enterprise Manager support 9i-style Enterprise Manager Reporting and Custom Reports?
Is it called that in 11g or has it been renamed to something else?
Is it it a simple matter of configuration or is it an add on that needs to be installed?
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
Wayward Oracle Newbie looking for an Oracle Home

Oracle 11g does not support 9i-style custom reports. There is a new reporting framework - Information Publisher available in Grid Control 10+ versions. The new reporting framework does support custom reports as well. Click on the Reports tab to access the functionality.

    Hi Srini,
I have tried as you mentioned like installing Java in C:\Java... and I have tried the by setting the JRE_LOCATION of local path. No use of it.
tried with -jreloc and setting the java path in environment variables too.
As I understand, the problem i have seen at files copied path is not expected as required. Please see the path below...
    C:\DOCUME~1\v859971\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall2013-09-06_03-36-31PM\jre\bin\javaw.exe.
After running the Setup.exe -deinstall... temporary folder is creating with timestamp and all the required files are coping here...
"jre" folder also created and copied required java files directly into jre folder, but not in jre\bin folder.
    folder path is like this
    C:\DOCUME~1\v859971\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall2013-09-06_03-36-31PM\jre\javaw.exe.
Setup application is expecting jre\bin\javaw.exe, but folder structure is created as jre\javaw.exe. There it is coming the issue.
I have even tried with copying all the files into bin folder and executed the setup.exe, it again creating a new temporary file
    not able to resolve it...

  • Pro*Cobol for Oracle 10g Express Edition is available?

Hi to all, this is my first post here.
I evaluating Cobol to Oracle products and I have find one it´s more
We installed Oracle 10g Express Edition (Server and Client), to test compatibility of a Cobol product.
This product requires the "rtsora" component, from Pro*Cobol, but we didn´t find it in any place in the instalation packages.
The documentation show the precompilers to be at $ORACLE_HOME/precomp but there is only two folders (admin and lib) with "ottcfg" files. Nothing more
Searching this and anothers foruns, I became to think if the precompilers facilities, like Pro*Cobol, may be available to the 10g Express Edition for Linux, OR, if this is a feature available only to the Standart Editions (or Windows)?
The instalation and users manuals appears to don´t distinguish the 10g standart from the Express Edition. Also, the Express Edition doesn´t ask for any kind of "customization oprtions" as I read about in another topics.
    Edited:
1 - We are using this on Linux Ubuntu.
2 - The Windows 10g Express Edition appears to be more complete, but I need to run this on Express Edition.
    Thanks in advance!
    (sorry bad english)

There is no official communication on 11G express edition release date .
You will have to wait and watch Oracle Official website for that .

  • Oracle EBusiness DBA and Architect Available - Expert in 10g and 11g RAC

I have implemented Ebusiness on all OS's - upgraded every OS - mixed environment, Linux migrations - CUrrently just wrapped up an 11.5.10CU2 - 10g - to R12CU4 11g RAC upgrade
Call me for help - available - [email protected]

    Hi,
First of all, you better created a new thread for this question, but still an attempt to answer your questions:
Sizing is a very delicate task. It will be very difficult to size only on database size and # concurrent users.
What anyone in this business would need to know is the processor architecture (Intel/Sparc/Power/etc.) and speed, the type of OS, etc.
The best thing you can do is go to your hardware provider and see if they have anything like a sizing questionnaire to fill in (I know IBM, HP and Sun -at least used to- have them) and send it back to them to come up with a sizing estimate for you.
It is generally better to have the Concurrent Manager away from the database tier. You can consider separate Concurrent Manager nodes, or include them into your application tier nodes.

  • Oracle EM 10g is not available

    Hi friends,
Recently i installed oracle DB 10g R1 and it worked fine as Oracle EM is also connecting. But all of a sudden im not sure the EM seems to be not available and im getting the following message in the EM like
The database status is currently unavailable. It is possible that the database is in mount or nomount state. Click 'Startup' to obtain the current status and open the database. If the database cannot be opened, click 'Perform Recovery' to perform an appropriate recovery operation.
But i can connect with the db in cmd prompt, i dont know what was the problem with EM as it is showing in unavailable status. What could be the problem here friends.
Due to this EM problem i couldnt connect my application with the db in my local machine
I have also checked in the metalink and tried with the ways but none of them dint worked
    [ID 309687.1]
    Cause
The DB COntrol console process is unable to connect to the database it self from various reasons:
    1. the listener is not started
    2. the database is not registered with the given listener
    3. the DB Console configuration is incorrect for some reason
    4. Database is not opened or accessible for client connections.
    Solution
Verify if the DB Console process is able to connect to the database with:
    1. the listener is started and the database instance is registered: lsnrctl status <listener name>
    2. The SYSMAN account is unlocked nd the password is not expired.
    3. Open ORACLE_HOME/<hostname>_<SID>/sysman/log/emoms.trc for connection errors.
I followed all the steps as my sysman account is fine and it is getting connected via sqlplus.
    315299.1
    Cause
The DBSNMP user account is locked and/or expired.
    Solution
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
    1. Log into the database as a user with sysdba privileges.
    2. Issue the following sql:
    alter user dbsnmp account unlock;
    3. Verify that the dbsnmp user can connect to the database via sqlplus.
    4. Verify that the sysman user can connect to the database.
I have checked from the above, as both the dbsnmp and sysman user is fine and it is getting connecting to my db. Other than this im not sure with the problem.
    Thanks

  • When will Oracle 10g Release 2 be available for Mac OS X?

It's been awhile since Release 2 has been available for other OSes (Win, Linux...).
I'm wondering what is the status for OS X?
Oracle had a podcast back in June'05 endorsing Apple OS X.
But it appears that Oracle's support for OS X is ...'secondary'.
Given that OS X is now running full throlle on Intel and is rapidly evolving (Tiger, Leopard, ...).
Where is Oracle in this scheme?
When can we expect to have access to Release (for ppc & intel architectures)?

No one here would have any idea when or if Apple is planning on releasing an iBook app/reader for OS X.
But I do agree with you. I would like to be able to read them on my Mac as well.
