Oracle OC4J: JAZNUserManager ready, now adding SSL security support...

Hello,
I developed a J2EE application with FORM
based authentication security using the JAAS
JAZN Oracle support for encrypted passwords.
Now I would like to find the way to send it
as encrypted data with SSL but don't know
how to do it...
I already tried adding something
declaratively like:
my web.xml
<auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
<form-login-config>
<form-login-page>index.jsp</form-login-page>
<form-error-page>login_error.jsp</form-error-page>
</form-login-config>
<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<user-data-constraint>
<transport-guarantee>CONFIDENTIAL</transport-guarantee>
</user-data-constraint>
</security-constraint>
But I only got it refusing to send any data... I guess there
should be a way to do it?
I also tried:
<login-config>
<login-config>
<auth-method>CLIENT-CERT</auth-method>
</login-config>
</login-config>
but again I received an error message stating I didn't
have any valid certificates?
Can anyone help please,
Best Regards,
Giovanni

  • CreateJaznUser: import oracle.security.jazn.oc4j.JAZNUserManager not found

    Hello!
    I need to create a function that could allow Application users to change their passwords.I use a JAZN authentication in the application. So, I decided to analyze contents of the CreateJaznUser application first. But compilation of this application breaks by the next error:
    import oracle.security.jazn.oc4j.JAZNUserManager not found
    Could you advise me, what an additional libraries I must add to the CreateJaznUser application and where can I download them from?
    Thanks in advance.

    OID 3.0.1.0 is the latest product release to public. I did add the Install data to allow it to work. I see the data in OID but when I connect with jazn I get error.
    java -jar jazn.jar -shell
    JAZN:> ls
    realms policy
    JAZN:> cd realms
    JAZN:> ls
    String index out of range: 32
    JAZN:> cd ../policy
    JAZN:> ls
    JAZN:> exit
    JAZN:>
    It does not error on policy dirictory but it does on the realm side. If I watch the tcp packets it is working.

  • JAZN userManager (oracle.security.jazn.oc4j.JAZNUserManager) fails to initialize

    We are testing the JAZN callInfo sample. I have OID version 3.0.1.0, and Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.0.0) Containers for J2EE. We setup the jazn to use LDAP.
    When starting oc4j we get the following:
    java -jar oc4j.jar Error instantiating application 'callerInfo' at file:/u01/app/oracle/products/9iAS/j2ee/home/jazn/demo/callerInfo/callerInfo.ear: Error initializing userManager 'oracle.security.jazn.oc4j.JAZNUserManager': java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException (String index out of range: 32)
    Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.0.0) Containers for J2EE initialized
    We see it this connect to ldap and get a reply. I feel the string back is larger than jazn is expecting.
    We check the tcp traffic and see it connecting:

    Good point, I do belive what you are referring to is this:
    Any client, whether running inside a server or not, has EJB security properties. Table 15-2 lists the EJB client security properties controlled by the ejb_sec.properties file. By default, OC4J searches for this file in the current directory when running as a client, or in ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config when running in the server. You can specify the location of this file explicitly with the system property setting -Dejb_sec_properties_location=pathname.
    Table 15-2 EJB Client Security Properties
    Property Meaning
    # oc4j.iiop.keyStoreLoc
    The path and name of the keystore. An absolute path is recommended.
    # oc4j.iiop.keyStorePass
    The password for the keystore.
    # oc4j.iiop.trustStoreLoc
    The path name and name of the truststore. An absolute path is recommended.
    # oc4j.iiop.trustStorePass
    The password for the truststore.
    # oc4j.iiop.enable.clientauth
    Whether the client supports client-side authentication. If this property is set to true, you must specify a keystore location and password.
    # oc4j.iiop.ciphersuites
    Which cipher suites are to be enabled. The valid cipher suites are:
    TLS_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5
    SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5
    TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA
    SSL_DHE_DSS_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA
    TLS_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5
    SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5
    TLS_DHE_DSS_EXPORT_WITH_DES40_CBC_SHA
    SSL_DHE_DSS_EXPORT_WITH_DES40_CBC_SHA
    nameservice.useSSL
    Whether to use SSL when making the initial connection to the server.
    client.sendpassword
    Whether to send user name and password in clear form (unencrypted) in the service context when not using SSL. If this property is set to true, the user name and password are sent only to servers listed in the trustedServer list.
    oc4j.iiop.trustedServers
    A list of servers that can be trusted to receive passwords sent in clear form. This has no effect if client.sendpassword is set to false. The list is comma-delimited. Each entry in the list can be an IP address, a host name, a host name pattern (for example, *.example.com), or * (where "*" alone means that all servers are trusted.

  • Oracle XBRL Extension Ready for Download

    Oracle XBRL Extension Ready for Download
    URL: http://www.liberidu.com/blog/?p=2608
    The new ready to download Oracle XBRL Extension is a “no cost option” on top of the latest Oracle Database 11.2.0.2.0 release. With this added functionality you will get a database environment that contains One or more back-end XBRL repositories based on Oracle Database, which provide XBRL storage and query-ability with a set of XBRL-specific services An external XBRL processing engine (XPE)
    The XBRL Extension to Oracle XML DB integrates easily with Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) for analytics and with interactive development environments (IDEs) and design tools for creating and editing XBRL taxonomies.

    For Brian:
    What was it you wanted to announce:
    the availability if the release 2 or the fact that OEM 2.2 makes 8.1.7 inaccessible?
    thanks much

  • Configuring Oc4j 9.0.2 for SSL

    Hi,
    I'm trying to enable oc4j 9.0.2 for SSL communication. I have created the certificate request using the Oracle Wallet Manager and received a signed certificate from CA. I refer my .der file created by OWM in the ssl-config tag-keystore attribute.
    When i start my oc4j server, i receive the following error.
    Error starting HTTP-Server: Unable to intialize SSLServerSocketFactory 'com.evermind.ssl.JSSESSLServerSocketFactory': Invalid keystore format
    If i create a self-signed certificate with keytool, it works fine.
    Can someone help me in this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I found that Oracle Wallet Manager cannot be used with Oc4J-SO. KeyTool should be used instead. However certificates for HTTP server could be configured using the Wallet. It could then be configured to proxy the request to the oc4j using mod ssl. As my requirements are different, i did not try the latter. Hope this info is useful to someone working on a similar issue.
    Thanks.

  • SSL secured listener with Netweaver possible

    Is it possible to use a ssl-secured listener (protocol=tcps) together with sap netweaver (abap and/or java)?
    Is there significant loss of i/o throughput to be expected?
    A notes search for SSL or TCPS on BC-DB-ORA did not show results.

    I believe it should be possible to use ssl connection. Never tried it, but I think it should work since it is a matter between Oracle Client and listener and has nothing to do with SAP application server.
    If you security requirements are such that you must encrypt traffic, and if you do not want to mess with tnsnames.ora, wallet and stuff then you might consider using some generic tunneling techniques.
    And it definitely will have some performance impact.
    ... just my two cents.

    Plz. clarify about the listing of the EAR file you wants to have a look??

  • Ssl security find

    One of my mail providers does not use SSL Security. It used to be in Mail>Accounts> Advanced; now with Yosemite there is no Advanced.  Is it hidden some where else?

    Actually, you need to be in Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Advanced.
    The "Accounts" menu directly under Mail is useful for accounts that have a bearing on the system as a whole (e.g. iCloud, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo) so it does have the potential to be confusing. Most of the email-specific tweaking should be done in Mail's Preferences menu.

    JSR168 Portlet Exception with Oracle OC4J and Spring
    I’m having a problem with accessing a Spring JSR168 Portlet when deployed on Oracle OC4J. I have created a very simple portlet that just renders simple jsp page. I created two versions. One using GenricPortlet and one using org.springframework.web.portlet.mvc.AbstractContro ller. The non-Spring portlet deploys and runs as expected. The Spring portlet deploys but throws the following exception

    2007-11-05 08:23:44.085 WARNING An internal error has occurred in method getMarkup()
    I have managed to deploy and run the Spring portlet using Sun App Server and Sun Portlet container with no problems which leads me to believe my Spring setup is correct.
    I also have managed to run the Spring pets portlet example on Sun App Server and Sun Portlet container with no problems. But again it fails on Oracle with the same problem.
    To deploy on Oracle I ran the oracle wsrp jar against my EAR. As far as I can tell it has not corrupted any of the Spring setup in the web.xml.
    The version are as follows
    Oracle Portal 10.1.4 running on OAS 10.1.2
    calling the portlet using WSRP v1.
    The portlet is running on standalone OC4J 10.1.3.3 with Oracle portlet container 10.1.3.2. On Windows Spring 2.0.6.
    Any ideas? Thanks Paul

    Was an answer ever found? I am currently experiencing the same issue.

  • Migration from Oracle OC4J to Weblogic 10.3 and CLOB ClassCastException

    I am migrating a web application from Oracle OC4J to Weblogic 10.0.3. In this application there are number of java files which uses the following piece of code and I can't change that:
    oracle.sql.CLOB clob = (oracle.sql.CLOB)rs.getClob(columnNumber);

    Dear Marcos,
    I have tried using ojdbc5, ojdbc6 and classess12 but with the same result. I am stuck with the problem. I have googled a lot but in vein. In some posts I got the idea to use weblogic.jdbc.vendor.oracle.OracleThinClob. But there is no package or class like mentioned in bold, available in weblogic.jar that I get from WEBLOGIC_HOEM/lib. I have downloaded weblogic 10.3 two times but still got no solution. weblogic.jar does not contain weblogic.jdbc.vendor.oracle.OracleThinClob.
    I have also read about using weblogic.jdbc.common.OracleClob to write unicode data but I do not find this package within the weblogic.jar
    Any idea please......

  • Oracle.oc4j.sql.managedconnectionimpl objects are not cleared from the JVM

    One of our customer is facing the outofmemory issue, when they connect many users and they go ideal for some times, without doing any operation on the server and when they come back and connect they get Out of memory issue.
    For that i just profiled my application and i can see the following objects never get cleared from the JVM.. Following objects not GC.
    oracle.oc4j.sql.spi.managedconnectionimpl
    oracle.oc4j.sql.xa.iccxaconnection
    oracle.oc4j.sql.spi.connectionrequestinfoimpl
    oracle.oc4j.sql.managedconnectionimpl
    oracle.oc4j.sql.spi.Txstate
    oracle.jdbc.driver.logicconnections
    We do have a pooling timer running at the back end.
    Please suggest is there any why i can make these connections Garbage collected when they are not in use? is there any setting for in oc4j for that?
    Thank you

  • Sort order in Java Application (deploy in Oracle oc4j container)

    I have a Java application deploy in Oracle OC4J container (EAR file).
    In my Java application (jsp), I have a SQL statement who return data but the
    sort order is wrong. The letters "é" and all characters with accents
    appears at the end of the result.
    I tried many things to change the sort order (NLS parameters in database
    and OAS10g parameter files).
    When I use SQL*plus on database server, that's working.
    The sort order is wrong when I use the java application.
    Somebody can tell me what and where is the NLS parameters to change ?
    Thanks
    Robin

    Robin,
    I'm only guessing, but it could either be related to the java locale or the CHARSET attribute of the HTML header -- and nothing to do with the NLS parameters.
    Maybe you should try the Globalization Support forum?
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Problems with deploy on OracleAS/OC4J 10.1.3.2

    Hi all,
    I was successful to deploy 2 EJB-JARs and one EAR/WAR into oc4j 10.3.2.0 stand-alone, and all this piece communicate via EJBs.
    I copied the EJB-JARs into j2ee/home/applications directory and modified the j2ee/home/config/application.xml to add <ejb-module ...> for those two ejb-jars.
    I started OC4J and then deployed my EAR/WAR through Enterprise manager (EM).
    It works fine!
    But, if I go to a OracleAS 10.1.3.1 (patched to OC4J 10.1.3.2.0), the same procedure is not successful and when I try to load the oc4j service (opmnctl startall), som error occurs (not clear what the error is) and the service does not start and a StackOverflow exception seems to occur (message on screeen).
    Seems to be a bug.
    I think the same procedure I did for oc4j stand-alone should work for OracleAS/oc4j.
    Does enyone know anything about this issue?
