Oracle Payroll and Payslip Report problem
Hi everyone,
When I am running the Saudi payroll registered and Saudi payslip report in oracle r12. in the parameter list i didn't getting the current reporting period end date, it showing me only old reporting end period date. please can anyone help me how to get lov of all the period end dates to run the payroll and payslip.

Oracle 9i and PreparedStatement Date Problem
Hi, I am working with Oracle 9i and it's version of the classes12.zip driver and I am having difficulties in storing a date value using a PreparedStatement. I only care about the date, but I have tried going the Timestamp route as well and get the same results.
The PreparedStatement's parameters are being set successfully (using setDate or setTimestamp) but when the executeUpdate method is invoked, the process hangs. If I remove the Date (or Timestamp) from the insert, all works as expected.
Has anyone else came across this problem and if so, how did you get around this?

Perhaps you might want to take another look at your code to make sure that it really isn't hanging but instead appears to do so when an exception occurs. -
I recently upgraded from Oracle Forms/Reports 10g to 11g. Oracle 10g Reports when saved as a PDF is easily converted to a word document, however ,Oracle 11g does not convert as 10g does. What is the difference and how to make the 11g report saved in a PDF be able to convert to a Microsoft Word document cleanly.

May be the problem comes from this "issue" ...

I want to run a crystal report against an oracle database procedure. I know that I will have to user REF CURSOR for that purpose. If I try to update a table within that procedure and use REF CURSOR and call the procedure from Crystal report it gives an error that you cannot update in this procedure. I just wonder if that is possible some how.
Basically I want to update a table after I run a Crystal Report but I can only call the crystal report from my application and do not want to run the update procedure seperately.

To use a stored procedure in someone else's schema, you must uncheck the "Use Current Schema for SQL Procedures" box.
If this is the case, be aware that when designing a new Crystal Report with that option unchecked, you may have to wait a very long time for the Database Expert to populate and display. Is there some reason that you can't use Crystal's native driver for Oracle. It does not have this problem. -
Oracle 9i and Crystal report 9
Can somebody help me in this.
Both the database using the same version of oracle (That is 9.2. Created package for referential cursor,Created global temporary table and created SP using the ref cursor and global temporary table in both database.
Using ODBC,created the report in CRYSTAL report 9 using same sp was possible in one database while in other it is not. and giving the follwing eeror,

My safari doesnt work and this report problem keeps coming up...

If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates
if it's not already checked. -

have installed XE, and have been using HTML DB. I am wanting more control with my reports, and I am much better with 10g reports developer than the built in html db reports.
I found this site, but I am stuck on "deploying the report" (#9/#10)

Ageing(Customer and Vendor) report problem
Dear Experts,
Firstly, Glad to be before you.
Here, we have developed ageing report for Customers and Vendors. In which the Partial payment line item (let us say A) against an Invoice (lets say X) is not being shown under the same age of Invoice Line Item.
For example:
Scenario 1)
Let me say that the Payment Terms 'Z001' under which the line Items fall due only after 30 days.
I have posted an invoice on 01.09.2011 with Rs. 20000
If we run the Ageing as on 16.12.2011, the output is projected as follows:

Here for Invoice NO PROBLEM is being raised, as the Invoice Posting Date is taken as the Baseline Date from which the Ageing will be calculated based on Payment terms assigned to Customer in the master data.
But the Problem is when we do partial payment:

Let me Take the same example:

As per Technical logic whats happening is correct. Because the Base Line date of the partial payment line Item is being picked from the posting date of the same. BUT NOW, THE REQUIREMENT IS AS FOLLOW:
The wants to see the related Partial payment items also in the same AGE in the report. i.e., we should make the system pick the Baseline date of the partial payment line item(Y) from the posting date(01.09.2011) of the other line item(X) i.e., from the Invoice(X) which is being partial cleared. Can you please suggest me a logic?

OAB interfcaing with Oracle Payroll and Third party Payroll Systems
Hi,
I would like to know the things to take care when OAB interface with a third party Payroll(esp. ADP Payroll).
I know that the deductions are sent using the Benefit Elements which in turn connected with Rates for options/plans.
My questions are related to
1. How OAb would be able to get information like How many pay periods are pending(For calculating deductions for plans like FSA)
and
2. How the reconciliation work between OAB and the third party system(Like ADP Payforce)

Oracle 11g with cocoon.war and glassfish pdf problem?

I m install oracle 11g express on CentOS 5.6 OS, oracle apex listener 1.1.2.131.15
glassfish v2 and cocoon 2.1.11 and connect glasfish with oracle apex and working fine
Problem begin when I was build cocon xml and deploy cocoon.war on glassfish,
adding fop_post on cocoon/fop_post (as describe on http://carlback.blogspot.com/2007/03/apex-cocoon-pdf-and-more.html) but pdf dont work!
(I was setting all this steps on open suse 11.2-32 byte machine and ubuntu 8.04-32 byte and pdf work ok )
Is there any idea whats happen whith this pdf error?
Is problem with 64 byte some specific settings, with java jdk, cocoon, glassfish or something on oracle 11g apex ?

next I was download and unzip and build cocoon2.1.11 as bash build.sh war -- and in build folder theres make cocoon.war
next I was download apex listener and from command line I was type java -jar apex.war
next download and build glassfish v2 and this two war files I was deploy on server, and making username as describe

All this steps above, I was making with open suse 32 byte, with oracle 32 byte 10g with
apex listener, cocoon and glassfish and apex and pdf export working good.
is there any idea, whats solution for 64 byte cocoon, apex listener oracle express pdf export?

We have installed Oracle Payroll and OraclePayable.
I would like to know the link between Oracle Payroll and Oracle Payable i.e. If i run a Payroll process, does the same affect a Cheque Payment that i can see in Oracle Payable?
Can the same Payment format be used by Payroll and Payable?
If i use International HRMS, can i reconcile Payroll with Cash Management, as the GL Cash account field is not enabled for International HRMS on the Organisation Payment method screen?

So I Google for it and found that this is version mismatch (May be I am wrong) and it tells that I have to install WLS - 10.3.2 with ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_64 (1 to 4)

After the installation while configure the forms reports, I am stuck while creating domain.
steps I follow is :
(i) Install Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
(ii) (Oracle 11g) win64_11gR2_database (1 & 2)
(iii) wls1033_generic.jar
(iv) accessbridge-2_0_2-fcs-bin-b06
(v)ofm_rcu_win32_11.1.1.2.1_disk1_1of1
(vi) ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_64 (1 to 4)
Please any body help, for the installation of oracle forms and reports.
I have a formatted Windows 7 Ultimate
Where I have installed Adobe Acrobat Reader
IIS server from windows installer
Now I want to know the exact procedure so that i can run the forms and report in my machine.
This is my first installation of Oracle forms & Reports, so please do not pre assume about my understanding (Like "to install this he surely did this environment settings" )
Please specify all the steps
Furthermore if Another software I have to download then please tell me.
And I will be grateful if you specify the mistakes in my side.
