I am going to work on apps environment next month both as apps dba and apps developer. I have no experience
on erp but I have 7 yrs working experience in oracle and forms and reports.

I am installing the Oracle Application server Forms and Report services 10.1.2.0.2 on Windows 2003 R2, but the problem is that setup is not running on this Windows 2003 R2 version.

I told you where to find the last update, I checked that version yesterday, the last update is 10.1.2.3, my misstake was to put a 0 before the 3.
You can go to Patches & update>Quick Links to: Latest Patchsets, Mini Packs and Maintenance Packs>Oracle Fussion Middle Ware> Look for you OS versión and CPU> No clic just put pointer over the links and you will see the last one.
And finaly could look for the CPU of Jul and Apr that as requirement they ask for version 10.1.2.3 (as I say I checked yesterday)

I am having Oracle Developer Suite 10g.
Using that i can design and test Oracle reports.
Then do i need Oracle Application Server with Forms and Reports to deploy it?
Do Developer Suite contains Application Server with Forms and Reports?
How to test whether the report will run inside an application server?
If i am having Developer Suite and still do i need to install Oracle AS with Forms and Reports?

Yes you need Oracle Application Server to deploy forms /reports.There are 2 types . One containing only forms and reports services
Two containing forms, reports services, portal and many
other product services.
So if you want to deploy only forms and reports then choose the first one

No. It contains a light component called OC4j. With this u can test the forms and reports in browser
Q3How to test whether the report will run inside an application server?
If you test it with developer suite, it should run fine with AS
Q4 If i am having Developer Suite and still do i need to install Oracle AS with Forms and Reports?
Pls note that Developer suite doesnt have any AS. And it has a light weight OC4J which is only for testing purpose. So u need to have AS for the deployment.

Installing Oracle Fusion 11gR2 Forms and Reports only

Hello Everyone,
now that i have the Web logic Server (10.3.6) up and running to include the Admin Server on a windows operating system, does anyone have a watered down easy step by step process to install Forms/Reports 11gR2?
also, i already had an oracle database instance up and running prior to the weblogic install, does this need to be moved into a domain within weblogic?

I already had the instructions from the Link, but they talk about installing everything else except the Forms/Reports.
Which link are you talking about ? the one I posted ? its title is Installation Guide for Oracle Forms and Reports , so ...
Additionally, I didn't see anything on how others would actually come into the site? so once everything is setup and works, and i provide a link to others for testing the application, what gets passed so that the application will pull up?

Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 10g (9.0.4.0.1)

I am Try to install de Forms and service y an Windows 2003 Machine but when the installer is ready for install al package the Oracle Net Configuration Assitant send me this Error...
Environmental error detected: The current Oracle Home and the Oracle Home passed from the installer are not the same. Oracle Net Configuration Assistant cannot continue.
It is recommended that you continue installation without completing Oracle Net configuration. Once the installation is complete run the Oracle Net Configuration Assistant separately after checking that the ORACLE_HOME environment variable is not set (preferred on Windows platforms) or that it is set to the correct Oracle Home.
Oracle Net Services configuration failed. The exit code is 1
And we cannot continue installing the Oracle Form And Service.

thanks a lot, I find the enviroment variable using the set command, my problem was that I never restart the computer, because I deleted this from the system form but in the system never was removed and the command set help me to find the problem.
I install succesfully.

Oracle 9i running forms and reports with user/pass

Hi all!
How can I hide the user name and password in the internet explorer as it is shown in the full path for the sake of security I need it and also how can I pass the user/pass from a form to report without showing in address bar of Internet Explorer.

Dear Mayank,
You can use "CGICMD.dat" file. This file can be used to add key mappings.
You add following lines at the end of this file.
MYKEY: USERID=<user_name>/<password>@<connection_string> %*
You need to restart your OC4J Instance to make above changes effective..
Then, in your web.show_document url include "CMDKEY=MYKEY".
This will definitely solve your problem.

Looked around at the following link but could not find docs apart from "Release Notes"

Using wls 10.3.6 (32 bit) in oracle 11 g r2 forms and report installtion

hi all,
i was have jdeveloper 12 c on my laptop win 8 64 bit ,
i remove all files for jdeveloper like middleware and javadeveloper
after that i install wls 10.3.6 (32) bit to install oracle 11 g r2
and it's installition going while
but in installing oracle 11g r2 forms and report when i choose the middleware of it error appear said :
INST-07408: Unable to install or configure the product on a 32-bit JVM on a 64-bit machine" error messag
i do not know what can i do
as iam littel experince in oracle so plz any one write solution pleaze tell me the steps for solution step by step
and any one refer for any something need to setup plz refer to the exact link

First, Windows 8 is not a supported platform for installing Forms/Report 11.1.2
Second, if you are running a 64-bit platform then you need to install the 64-bit software. Also, before you perform any part of the installation, you will need to first install an appropriate JDK (64-bit if the OS is 64). So in short, I would recommend you read the installation instructions and certification guide before starting. Those documents can be access from here:

Generally speaking the installation process is simple. Here are the basic steps:
1. Know your operating system and machine. You must understand the OS with which you are working. Is it 64bit or 32, is it an Oracle certified platform for the software you want to install, does your machine have enough RAM installed, etc.....
2. Install JDK version 6. Be sure to use 64bit if your OS is 64 or 32 if your OS is 32. Do not use Java 7 for the installation
3. Ensure that your machine has a static IP address. If it does not, install and configure the Windows Loopback Adapter.
4. Install WLS 10.3.6
5. Install FMw Forms/Reports 11.1.2.1
Although the above steps seem simple, I recommend you review the documents I mentioned before starting any installation.

Needed Document for upgrading Oracle forms and reports 10g to 11g

Hi Guys,
Currently my client is using Oracle 10g for forms and reports and currently he is looking to upgrade from 10g to 11g.
Can some one provide me the impact analysis document which shows if they is any risk factors involved if we migrate from 10g to 11g.
If any risk factors are involved what steps needs to be taken care before we upgrade from 10g to 11g.

Where can i find detail information about the installation requirements for Oracle Application Server Forms and Report Services under OEL 4 (Oracle Enterprise Linux) or OEL 5?
It seems there's only information about Oracle Application Server in general, not the reduced or partiuclar distribution, Forms and Reports Services.

I already saw the documentation for Forms and Reports Services Installation.
This thread is about the specific requirements, if any, for this product on OEL 5 or OEL 4.
See, there's a note on Metalink(546174.1) regarding some specific issues about installing Oracle Application Server on OEL5, but i'm not sure if this involves Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services.
The idea is to know if these issues applies to this specific distribution .

Can't download forms and reports server

for 2 days now i have tried to download this.
from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/index.html
in the middleware section I select "Forms & Reports Services"
then "Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 10g (9.0.4.0.1) for Microsoft Windows"
I get the license page and accept
I click the link "OracleASFormsReportsServices10g_90401_Windows.exe"
and get
"We're sorry, the page you requested was not found.
We have recorded this error (404) to help us fix the problem.
You may wish to try again using one of the tools below. "
Is this link rot? Is there another place to download from?

I installed the Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services v9.0.4; however I would also like to have the mod_pl/sql portion. Where can I get this from? Do I need to install the EE version?

Configuring 11g forms and reports with sso in fusion middleware 11.1.1.6

Hi Experts,
I have followed the below oracle support documents to integrate the three components Oracle Fusion middleware forms and reports 11.1.1.6, OID 11.1.1.2 and OAM 11.1.1.5.
How to Install, Configure and Integrate Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g? (Doc ID 1395233.1)
How to Integrate Forms 11gR2 with OAM/SSO after an 11gR2 Forms/Reports Installation (Doc ID 1531370.1).
After completing the above steps i am able to access the OAM console with OID username.
But while trying to access the Forms through the URL, i'm geeting 404 page not found error.
Can someone help me on this.
