Oracle reports11g in Oracle ADF...

Hi,
I am new to ADF, we are planning to convert our oracle Forms 11g application to ADF .
What I understand that to run the application in ADF we need webloigc to deploy the application, so If we are using the Oracle reports with Oracle ADF do we still need to install the separate Fusion Middleware for the Oracle Report11g or webloigc server is sufficent.

But I didn't get "ADF just needs the WebLogic part not the full FMW."
What I understand that only ADF and weblogic we need then where we install the report sever, As currently in 11g the report server are setup in the FMW and only WLS_REPORT service are there in the weblogic.
If you can explain me some little bit more on this.
Because I want to make sure we don't FMW when we are using Oracle report with ADF.

JsCookMenu - Problem with display of Menu (Oracle ADF)

I am using Oracle ADF with JSF components. The jsCookMenu displays the menu along with "x" representing images on the right and left side of the menu label. Please suggest me how to remove this icon from the menu display. Please find the code below.

I am getting this problem with IE when the application starts. When I do ctrl+refresh, this issue doesnot occur. Also, with Firefox I am not getting any problem. I need to know how to fix this issue with IE when the application starts. Any suggestions on this would be of great help.

The interesting part is what you did not tell us.
Kindly let me know as to why Iam not to replicate the issue in my earlier WLS.Please find my code means hte code has once run OK and now after you did some changes doesn't any longer. Querstion: what did you change, not oly to the code but to the environment.

Unable to open OAF page oracle.adf.mds.MetadataDefException:

I am unable to open a OAF OAF page. The error message that i am getting is
oracle.adf.mds.MetadataDefException: Unable to find component with absolute reference = /bob/oracle/apps/ak/pmrtest/webui/PMRTestPG-ROHR-MRA=36105=3014=Y=Y, XML Path = null. Please verify that the reference is valid and the definition of the component exists either on the File System or in the MDS Repository.
I tried running the below

Oracle/adf/view/rich/model/AsyncFetch Error in DVT

Experts,
We have some DVT components in our application which runs perfectly on integrated local Weblogic Sever. Once we deploy it to a Weblogic Standalone server, we are getttnig the following error while trying to access the DVT graph page. Rest of the application is working properly.

Solution : Go to EAR Deployment Profile Properties -> File Groups -> Application Libraries ->Filters and here you have to remove the libraries that are ADF DVT.

Oracle ADF task flow setup failing- deployment issue

We are facing issue while deploying the ADF taskflow to Oracle webcenter portal/application server.
We will need your help to get any pointers from your Oracle network to help resolve.
Details of issue are as below.

Problem Statement: Issue in the ADF taskflow while it is deployed on Oracle Webcenter Portal/Application server (the ADF taskflow is fetching data from PL/SQL procedure using table/record objects as OUT parameter, which is running fine in Jdeveloper).
Problem Description:
From ADF task flow we are invoking a PL/SQL procedure, which is returning a PL/SQL objects as an OUT parameter, some of these objects are of TABLE TYPE and one of RECORD TYPE. We are invoking this oracle procedure and fetching the object using jdbc. The object to which we are mapping this PL/SQL object is a custom java type object. We are using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and Oracle ADF for this and we are able to successfully fetch the object using the code snippet #1 attached below.
However, when we deploying the same code, i.e. the above ADF task flow in the Webcenter Portal server 11.1.1.4, inside the Webcenter portal application, it doesn’t work and give the below error, error snippet #2 below.
Options tried: Initially we were using oracle.sql.STRUCT to handle the PL/SQL object, we tried changing this to weblogic.jdbc.wrapper.Struct and also java.sql.Struct, however we are still getting same error.
The objective is to get the data from PL/SQL procedure in objects (record, table) as OUT parameters in ADF taskflow deployed on Oracle webcenter portal/application server.

Problem in Oracle ADF with JDeveloper. JBO25001

I have to develop an application using oracle ADF and JDeveloper. To famalirize my self with the technology, I downloaded the Oracle ADF tutorial "Tutorial for Forms/4GL developers" from Oracle site.
I am following this tutorial line by line, but still getting an error. I have created
1) Entities
2) Associations
3) Views
4) ViewLinks
5) Application Module
all by wizard.
After I added my view and view link into the application module and tried to test it it gave me the following error.

i'm using jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 and weblogic 10.6 installed on the Linux server

JDeveloper 11g R1 (11.2.3) supported as ADF essentials and running on WebLogic 10.3.6 are the same releases. The difference is that a path is needed if you want to deploy the software on WLS 10.3.6. Quoting the release notes:
+"The ADF Runtime will be installed into a standalone application server by applying an Opatch bundle on top of a 11.1.1.6 version of the Application Developer Runtime environment. In the event that additional patches are needed or desired in addition to the 11.1.2.3.0 patch (for example, if an additional patch is needed for another component in the Application Development Runtime installation), those patches will need to be installed separately.+
+Important note: The patch is intended to be applied to an Application Developer Runtime installation. Applying the patch to a different installation type (for example, Oracle SOA Suite or Oracle WebCenter) is not supported."+

For Glasssfish you don't need to patch the server and only install the ADF runtime libraries - also explained in the Release notes.

Could you please let me know what are the diff b/w oracle adf 10g and 11g, i tried in many user guides but i could not find it.

hi..
i am currently doing a system using oracle adf framework.
i want to do a process of withdrawing a subject that have been registered by a student, but i don't want to permanently delete the data from the database..i just want to change their GRADE to W for withdrawal process..
so, i perform a logical deletes and its work fine to me...
the problem is it does not catch the date of withdrawing the subject..
i have learn this from a video that i found in youtube...
from that video, they show me how to catch the date when performing a logical delete..but it wont work for me..
