Oracle RMQ legacy system

Who can help with this problem?
A few weeks ago when my pc was migrated into the right server, my previous Oracle connection was not restored.
I need to access the Oracle (RMQ legacy system) today.
Thanks!
Freddy

Freddy,
What do you mean by "pc migrated into server"?
It seemed to me that after the "migration" your Oracle server is running on another host. You need to reconfig your connection method, if tns, then you need to change the tnsnames.ora file to reflect the correct host/port.

  • Item import to oracle inventory from legacy system

    Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to import a very large number of items (close to 500,000) from a legacy system to oracle inventory.
We are using oracle open interface for this. We have designed a temp table for this purpose in order to validate data before moving it to the oracle interface tables. The data to be migrated is present in a separate data base and we need to move this data to Oracle temp table.
Can we use DB link to migrate this kind of data(in terms of volume)? Also what are the best practices that need to be followed while importing data to Oracle inventory? Is there any other way that this can be done?
Please share your thoughts and suggestions on this
    Thanks

    Hi,
Some times DB link will fail, Please create custom package and try to interface with legacy system for periodically fetching the data into your tables. If the data is bulk please use API instead of Interface tables.
    Thanks.

  • Tracking legacy system POs in Oracle

Has anyone imported Requisitions from multiple legacy systems, Autocreated Purchase Order using those Reqs and extracted the Purchase Order information for interface back to the legacy systems? How do you differentiate the POs for one legacy system from another? Did you track a legacy system identifier with the Purchase Order to allow only POs for specific systems to be extracted? Is this a flag? Flexfield (How since flexfields aren't carried through the Autocreate process)?
    Thanks for any help!
    Cara

POs from different legacy systems can be identified through the INTERFACE_SOURCE_CODE field in the following PO tables:
    po_requisitions_interface_all
    po_requisition_headers_all
    po_headers_all
    Hope this helps you.

  • Uploading data from a view in legacy system to SAP

    Hi,
I am developing a custom table in sap. The data in this table will be loaded from a view which exists in the clients legacy system (Oracle db). There will be no middleware for the data transfer.
How can this be done in SAP? Can anybody provide a detailed procedure to do this?
    Thanks in advance !!!!

    Hi
Is the Legacy system capable of calling 'BAPI' or 'RFC'.
If yes, than you can create a RFC function module and with in the function module, you can write code to populate values to ZTABLE.
When the Legacy system calls the RFC with values, your Ztable will be updated

  • How to bring 'Firm' Purchase Orders from legacy system through PDOI

    Hi
we are interacing the purchase orders from a legacy system through Open Interface i.e PDOI.
Here i have to enable the Firm_Flag for all these PO before converting to oracle. I found that there is a column firm_flag in po_headers_interface table , but when i am populating taht column to 'Y' also, the firm flag at the PO window , by clicking the Terms button, is not reflecting.
Please let me know why PDOI is not picking up the value at the header table. Any help is really helpful.

  • How to populate the organization_code column in ST table for legacy system

    Hi, dear all,
Now I use the stage table to load the setup&transaction collection data from a non-EBS legacy system to ASCP system.
My question is: how to populate the organization_code column in the stage table? If the source system is EBS system, maybe it's an inventory organization code. But for the non-EBS system, which value is need fo this field? keep it as blank? or assign some value for it?
    Thanks

I find some words in the implementation guide, it says:"To collect data from your non-Oracle ERP systems or your trading partners' systems, you model each non-Oracle ERP system or trading partner as an Oracle Applications organization and store their setup and transaction data there".
But I can't find where to model the application organization for the legacy system.
anyone can give some clues? Thanks in advance.

  • Importing PO Receipts from Legacy Systems

    Hi guys
My client has asked if it is possible to take approved/receipted
purchase orders from a legacy system and upload them periodically into
Oracle eBS - 11.5.8. That is all that is needed - there are no
amendments or anything coming thru from the legacy system.
If it is possible to provide the base material/ high level scope for a proposal for us to implement then it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Do u need to upload approved P.Orders from legacy systems into apps?
tehn we can use Interface programs for that for periodically.
Create one concurrent programs by using interface tables.
and make to run in the specified intervals.
    Is this ok?

  • DateFormat  Problem by "recycling" legacy systems

    Folks,
Congratulations to the Jheadstart development team!
Now I am traing to "recycle" a legacy system and have problems with the German DateFormat 01.03.2005 and the expected dd-MMM-yyyy DateFormat...
    What should I do?

    Boris,
When you generate an application with JHeadstart, you can specify the desired date format in the Application Structure File, at Service level.
See also the JHeadstart Developer's Guide, Chapter 5, and look for date format. It tells you how to specify different formats for different languages.

  • Which legacy systems are used for what purpose?

    Hi gurus,
I tried looking in this forums, but couldnt gather much information on which legacy systems are used and for what purpose? <b>can any body send me a link that can help me understand when and where, which systems are used for what purpose..</b> I have a general understanding of Legacy systems so i am not looking for terminology explanation,  i would appreciate any thing that is related to business and explains the purpose.
    thanks,
    kishore karnati

    Hi,
Term legacy system means tailor made system by group of software developer or any branded software which deals with the group requirement  like tally we user for finance.
Legacy system can be based on any technology like visual basis as front end and oracle as back end or Developer 2k as front end and oracle as back end. For report most of the legacy system we have seen uses crystal report.
You can develop and implement based on the requirement from the user though you need to define some specify process to keep the system streamline which is in your hands.
Concept like devlopment/quality/production we don't have that verys strict concept.
More and more they are not intergrated each other functionally mean lets say inventory has come to the godown then your vendor outstanding should increase in finance which does not happens you need to key in the seperate value for it.
    Hope this helps!!!

  • Interfaces to legacy systems

Looking for pre-configured BAPI to transfer SAP Project Systems data to external legacy system oracle based. Please help.

For the interface to legacy systems, you will have to decide on an approach: BDC, BAPI or Standard SAP program. For most of our interfaces to FI, we use standard SAP program RFBIBL00.

  • General legacy systems before SAP

    Hello friends,
Would like to know some example legacy systems names for SAP implemented companies in United states. If it is India, I know that most of the legacy systems will be Tally / visual basic with Oracle etc.
What would be the legacy systems in U.S for most of the companies?
    Thanks in advance,
    chaitanya

    Hi Chaitanya,
The legacy system are not country specific. Whateever you have mentioned for India as a legacy system could well be the legacy system for US. Any system which the organization uses for managing its business processes prior to the implementation of ERP is legacy system.
Some of the examples of legacy system could be as simple as excelsheets to as complex as Bloomberg, GlobeS, order management systems,Peoplesoft or they could be anyother ERP.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any other information.

  • Migrating Employee data from Legacy system - CRM

    Hallo all,
I need to map the employee data of the legacy system to an Idoc(For migrating data with XI). I functionally mapped the fields in the legacy system to the fields in CRM BP master data(Most of them). I have selected the BP complex Idoc(CRM_XIF_PARTNER_SAVE) and mapped most of the fields(name, address, Phone Numbers, Position etc ).
the following fields are yet to be mapped
    Employee No
    User Name
    Contact Role
    Executive role
    Corporate tile
    Affiliate subsidary
Is there any other standard Idoc in CRM to map the employee details (or) am I supposed to enhance the complex Idoc.
Please let me know ur suggestions

Well i guess,u can get the TRM by ordering, the number is 1-800-252-0303.
If you have the online documentation CD for Oracle Apps, there are interface tables GL,AP and i guess there are interface tables for other modules also. These tables are described in the documentation and it also describes which fields are required, which are optionally required etc and many other details. So u can get more details in this documentation, about the interface tables for migration of legacy data.
    Hope that helps.
