Oracle routeserver initialization exception

Hi forum,
I'm trying to use different routeserver demos. Now I use the pro oracle spatial 11 dataset. Everything is imported into the database, metadata were inserted and sdo_router_partition.partition_router is done.
Configuration is done in the web.xml file.
The startup throws the following excception:
[oracle.spatial.router.server.RouteServerImplementation, Thu Nov 05 19:43:53 CET 2009,#OC4J Launcher, FATAL] oracle.spatial.router.engine.RoutingEngineException: [REE-0126: Node reference for start  node 4841079272520679426 of edge 108501659 is missing in partition 0]

So, where ist the problem? I'm running oracle 11.1.0.7 on Win2003 with quickstartkit mv11r1_qs and deployed routeserver from ORA_HOME/md/jlib folder (routeserver.ear).

The first problem is solved, it seems to be a data issue. Use the nacteq_sd dataset for the demo, not the adci dataset.
Here is my next problem: The routeserver samples doesn't work, I get a java IO exception (using pre geocoded demo, no geocoder access!!):

    Hi,
    Please refer to the answers for your questions:
    Q) I assume you imported this data, what tables did you import? Was it non-Router schema data that was massaged into the Routers schema? Was is it limited data from another Router schema (NODE, EDGE and SIGN_POST tables)? How was the data exported/imported? Could you run the following query and post the result?
    Ans:) The data had been downloaded from the
    http://www.adci.com/products/navteq/index.html.
    This was a sample oracle 10g data of "pinellas-county"
    Import statments used were:
    1. Create User that will "house" the Spatial data. Should be the same name as the user being exported.
         CREATE USER ADCI PROFILE "DEFAULT"
         IDENTIFIED BY "ADCI" DEFAULT TABLESPACE "USERS"
         TEMPORARY TABLESPACE "TEMP"
         ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
         GRANT "CONNECT" TO "ADCI";
    GRANT imp_full_database, create table, create sequence TO ADCI;
    2. Create directory for import (The directory will be the location of the dump file)
         CREATE DIRECTORY adci_dump_dir AS '<location of dump file>';
         GRANT READ, WRITE ON DIRECTORY adci_dump_dir TO adci;
         ALTER USER adci QUOTA UNLIMITED ON USERS;
    3. Import Tablespace by running the following command. (Modify the datafile location)
         ** Note - You may need to convert the endian format before importing the datafile.
         (The source datafile is from platform id #10 - See below)
         impdp adci@<database alias> DIRECTORY=adci_dump_dir DUMPFILE=tts.dmp TRANSPORT_DATAFILES='<directory location>\adci_data.ora'
         ** Ignore ORA-31684 Errors on MDSYS objects
         Oracle10g Release 1 note:
         Oracle 10g Release 1 may report several errors when importing the transportable tables. These errors can be safely ignored. There are two types of errors:
         ORA-31684: Object type TYPE:"MDSYS"."XXXXX" already exists
         ORA-39083: Object type TYPE failed to create with error:
         ORA-02311: cannot alter with COMPILE option a valid type with type or table dependents
         Failing sql is:
         ALTER TYPE "MDSYS"."XXXXX" COMPILE SPECIFICATION
         and:
         ORA-31684: Object type TYPE_BODY:"MDSYS"."SDO_GEOMETRY" already exists
         At the end of the import, the message will be:
         Job "MAPPER"."SYS_IMPORT_TRANSPORTABLE_01" completed with 11 error(s)
    4. Alter tablespace to be in read write mode.
         ALTER TABLESPACE ADCI_DATA READ WRITE;
    5. Grant unlimited quota on transportable tablespace to user created in step 1
         ALTER USER ADCI QUOTA UNLIMITED ON ADCI_DATA;
    6. Initialize Spatial Indexes as owner of all spatial indexes
         EXEC SDO_UTIL.INITIALIZE_INDEXES_FOR_TTS
    7. Run the following script to build indexes, add metadata
         CONNECT ADCI@<ALIAS NAME>
         INSERT INTO USER_SDO_MAPS SELECT * FROM SDO_MAPS;
         INSERT INTO USER_SDO_THEMES SELECT * FROM SDO_THEMES;
         INSERT INTO USER_SDO_STYLES SELECT * FROM SDO_STYLES;
         COMMIT;
    8. Collect Schema statistics
         Run following command while connected as a priviledged user.
         exec dbms_stats.gather_schema_stats(ownname=>'ADCI',cascade=>TRUE,estimate_percent=>15);
    Q) select index_name from USER_INDEXES where table_name='EDGE';
    Ans:)
    INDEX_NAME
    EDGE_NAME_IDX
    START_NODE_ID_IDX
    END_NODE_ID_IDX
    EDGE_ID_IDX
    EDGE_SIN
    SYS_IL0000095839C00014$$
    SYS_IL0000095839C00015$$

    drop table EDGE_PART; Table Dropped
    drop table NODE_PART; Table Dropped
    drop table PARTITION; Table Dropped

    As the data already exists in MDSYS user for the same data, thus these errors have started cropping up. What do you suggest..Now i think the data has crashed completely. What do you suggest...??

    - Sam

    Hi Sam,
    This error is because JDBC 2.0 feature is not completely implemented in Oracle Lite database.
    So, you might want to go for an SOA Advanced Install with 10.2.0.3 oracle database to resolve your issue.
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers

    I think that you have to install Xorg (or XFree, whichever X environment redhat uses) related packages.
    They seem to be missing or not completely installed.
    I don't remember which specific package contains "libXp" nor its dependencies... so i'd recommend you to install them all.
    Good luck!

  • Help with: oracle.toplink.essentials.exceptions.ValidationException

    hi guys,
    I really need ur help with this.
    I have a remote session bean that retrieves a list of books from the database using entity class and I call the session bean from a web service. The problem is that when i display the books in a jsp directly from the session bean everything works ok but the problem comes when I call the session bean via the web service than it throws this:
    Exception Description: An attempt was made to traverse a relationship using indirection that had a null Session. This often occurs when an entity with an uninstantiated LAZY relationship is serialized and that lazy relationship is traversed after serialization. To avoid this issue, instantiate the LAZY relationship prior to serialization.

         weight INTEGER,
         height INTEGER,
         PRIMARY KEY (criminal_id)
    ENGINE=INNODB;
    CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS Lawsuit(
         lawsuit_id INTEGER NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
         courtName varchar(25),
         PRIMARY KEY (lawsuit_id),

  • Oracle Business Rule Exception during deployment

    Hi Experts,
    We implemented the OBR(Oracle Business Rules) within CEP and I always encounter a strange behavior. For some reason, I always encounter this error:

    After restarting CEP, OBR is running perfectly. I am not sure how to resolve this issue and need your guidance on how to prevent this from happening. My java source source code is below: The initializeDecisionEngine is called only once. My input to OBR is a java.util.Map(this is a requirement and can't do anything about it).
    private String rulesPath;
    private RuleDictionary ruleDictionary;
    private DecisionPointInstance decisionPointInstance;
    private String decisionFunctionName = "decisionFunctionName";
    private void initializeDecisionEngine() {
              try {
                   if (rulesPath == null) {
                        return;
                   if (decisionPointInstance == null) {
                        ruleDictionary = this.loadRuleDictionary(rulesPath);
                        DecisionPoint decisionPoint = new DecisionPointBuilder().with(
                                  decisionFunctionName).with(ruleDictionary).build();
                        decisionPointInstance = decisionPoint.getInstance();
                        System.out.println("INIT() OUT");
              } catch (SDKException e) {
                   // TODO Auto-generated catch block
                   e.printStackTrace();
    private RuleDictionary loadRuleDictionary(String path) {
              System.out.println("loading dictionary from path: " + path);
              RuleDictionary dict = null;
              Reader reader = null;
              try {
                   reader = new FileReader(new File(path));
    dict = RuleDictionary.readDictionary(reader, new DecisionPointDictionaryFinder(null));
                   List<SDKWarning> warnings = new ArrayList<SDKWarning>();
                   dict.update(warnings);
                   if (warnings.size() > 0) {
                        log.error("Validation warnings: " + warnings);
              } catch (SDKException e) {
                   log.error(e);
              } catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
                   log.error(e);
              } catch (IOException e) {
              } finally {
                   if (reader != null) {
                        try {
                             reader.close();
                        } catch (IOException ioe) {
                             ioe.printStackTrace();
              return dict;
    private executeOBRRule(){
    Map<String, String> mapEntry = new HashMap<String, String>();
    mapEntry.put("column1", "value1");
    mapEntry.put("column2", "value2");
    mapEntry.put("column3", "value3");
    if (decisionPointInstance != null) {
                   decisionPointInstance.clearInputs();
                   // decisionPointInstance.
                   List<Object> list = new ArrayList<Object>();
                   list.add(mapEntry); <--- Adding the map to a list since it is the only allowed input for OBR, or is there any other way other than list? -->
                   decisionPointInstance.setInputs(list);
    Object obj = decisionPointInstance.invoke();  <<<<<< this is where the exception is raised.
    My question is that why is the exception is being raised and sometimes it is not. My only resolution is to restart CEP server. Am I missing something? My obr rule file is ok since it does not display any error during compilation. If you can guide me to the correct path, I will really appreciate it.
    Regards,
    Russel

    Is this problem resolved?
    If so it would be greatly helpful if you could provide the solution.

    Hi
    (It was me and Berit that sent the original question).
    After some experimentation we saw that the managed server did get
    some configuration from the admin server, so the problem was in
    there somewhere.
    I had added an (empty) cluster and machine to the admin server, just
    to test adding. When I removed them everything worked fine afterward.
    So it was some kind of configuration error from our side, but we never
    did find out what it was.
    I guess the lesson is to only define things when you really need them :-)

  • Oracle.toplink.essentials.exceptions.ValidationException

    Hi,
    In my EJB 3 application we added a Schema entity to our already existing Student entity.
    I added the followning code in the student entity:
    @OneToOne(cascade = CascadeType.ALL)
    @JoinColumn(
              nullable = true,
              name = "SCHEMA_ID"
    private Schema schema;
    After adding the Schema enity I tried to compile and run the tests. I got the following toplink error message (roughly):
    nternal Exception: Exception [TOPLINK-7250] (Oracle TopLink Essentials - 2.0 (Build b41-beta2 (03/30/2007))): oracle.toplink.essentials.exceptions.ValidationException
    Exception Description: [class se.myapp.subsytem.alpha.Student] uses a non-entity [class se.myapp.subsytem.domain.Schema] as target entity in the relationship attribute [private e.myapp.subsytem.domain.Schema].
    I found out that I had to change the persistence.xml but not why?
    I would be very happy if someone could shed some light in this matter since I have no clue why I must put it in the persistence.xml
    cheers,
    //mike

    You must either annotate every Entity with the @Entity annotation, or map it through the ORM.xml. All Entities must also define an @Id annotation.

  • OTM error: oracle.oats.jagent.exception.FatalJavaAgentException

    Hi all,
    I have created a whole host of OATS scripts that run on my pc. Most of these scripts make use of databanks. I have ensured that the scripts are set up to point to databanks 'Relative to a Repository'.
    Now we have moved the repository to a server, which hosts OTM, from where we wish to run the test scripts. With the first script tested, using OpenScript, there were no problems. However, when running the same test script from OTM, we get the following error:
    oracle.oats.jagent.exception.FatalJavaAgentException: unable to create stand alone databank provider
    Any ideas?
    Blu

    This might not be the same issue, but I recall having similar problems when we first started using OLT from a shared repository on the server. Firstly I ended up having a mapped drive in Windows in order to specify the shared directory for scripts/databanks. Secondly I found that setting the parameter to work "relative to script" (rather than repository) worked.
    I must admit I keep meaning to re-visit this (as keeping things "relative to repository" would make more sense) but "it just works". I vaguely recall there was a bug in one of the pre-v9 versions (but I think that was more to do with the mapped drive).
    One of these days I'll find to time to re-evaluate this :)
