Hi,
Can any one tell me that if iI change the payroll run date for a payroll will it affect the following views :
HR_ADP_EMPLOYEE_V
HR_ADP_BENEFIT_V
As far I think it should not but can anyone please tell me for sure ?

How can we find Oracle seeded report run progress? From the View > Requests (check for RUNNING concurrent requests). From the database, verify the status of the database sessions of this concurrent request and make sure you have no locks -- See (Note: 735119.1 - How to Find Database Session & Process Associated with a Concurrent Program Which is Currently Running).
e.g Print Self Printed Payment Summary - PDF (Australia). Report runs for long hrs but does not report any progress in the log file. If possible, stop the request and make sure all the database sessions are killed, bounce the database and the CM and see if you can reproduce the issue. If you still encounter the same issue, then you may need to consider enabling trace/debug for this concurrent program.

View objects performance issue with oracle seeded tables

While i am writing a view object on a oracle seeded tables like MTL_PARAMETERS, its taking more time to show in the oaf page.I am trying to display all these view object columns in detail disclosure of advanced table. My Application is taking more than two minutes to display the view columns of the query which is returning just 200 rows. Please help me how to improve performance when my query using seeded tables.
This issue is happening only in R12 view object and advanced tables.

Hi All,
Here is architecture of my application:
Java application creates XML from the screen values and then inserts that XML
into a framework(separate DB schema) table . then Java calls a Stored Procedure from same framework DB and in SP we have following steps.
1. It fatches XML from the XML type table and inserts XML into screen specific XML TYPE table in the framework DB Schema. This table has a trigger which parses XML and then inserts XML values into GTT which are created in separate product schemas.
2. it calls Product SP and then in product SP we have business logic. Product SP
does the execution and then inserts response into Response GTT.
3. Response XML is created by using XML generation function and response GTT.
I hope u will understand my architeture this time and now let me know if GTT are good in this scenario or not. also please not that i need data in GTT only during execution and not after that. i dont want to do specific delete which i have to do if i am using normal tables.

How to find Oracle Seeded Responsibility

Is this understanding correct that all the rows in fnd_responsibility_tl table with created_by=1 are rows seeded by Oracle, i.e. they are Oracle seeded responsibilities?
Are there any other responsibilities as well which could be seeded?

Are there any other responsibilities as well which could be seeded?Apart from the query you have and the naming convention, I think there is no other way (log a SR to confirm with Oracle support).

Can anybody explain about oracle seeded executable XDODTEXE? When I should use this executable? If i create .rdf report, what will be the mapping to this executable?

What is XDODTEXE used in the Executable section of Concurrent Program?
XDODTEXE is a BI Publisher Data Template Executable. The purpose of this executable is to identify data template file (.xml) and execute the data template to generate the raw xml data, that later can be used by BI Publisher formatting engine to format as as per the layout (RTF, PDF etc).
This executable will be used by all the BI Publisher reports (Concurrent Program) which are using Data Template to generate the xml data.

Using Oracle Seed Folders

I am using Discoverer 11g in an APPS Mode EUL. I am trying to create a worksheet based on the Oracle Supplied Folder "GL ACTUAL BALANCES" which refers to the Oracle View "APPS.GLFG_ACTUAL_BALANCES". When I use this folder, I do not get any rows returned. There is a WHERE clause in the Oracle View that is being evaluated as FALSE at execution time.
AND GL_SECURITY_PKG.VALIDATE_ACCESS( GL_STANDARD_BALANCE.SET_OF_BOOKS_ID,GL_STANDARD_BALANCE.CODE_COMBINATION_ID ) = 'TRUE'
If I use a copy of this view and comment out the WHERE clause, rows are returned.
What am I missing in my configuration setup to allow me to use the Oracle Seeded Folder "GL ACTUAL BALANCES"?

What am I missing in my configuration setup to allow me to use the Oracle Seeded Folder "GL ACTUAL BALANCES"?The gl_security_pkg evaluates the flexfield security rules that may have been set up access the GL segments. You need to ensure that the responsibility you are using to connect to Discoverer has the GL Set of Books ID profile se. And also either the application associated with the responsibility is the Application BIS or you have manually initialised the gl_security_pkg by setting the system profile Initialization SQL Statement - Custom with the following value:
begin GL_SECURITY_PKG.init(); end;
Then of course you need to ensure the the flexfield segment security is either switched off or allows the responsibility to see the required segments.

Oracle Seeded Providers Shared Objects Folder Portlet

Hi,
I was wondering if there was an api, or some other way of setting the folder that will be displayed in the Folder portlet in the Oracle Seeded Providers: Share Objects area.

I was able to find the API for this. I was able to use the wwpre_api_value API. I have two issues still. The first is with setting the value for titleid though the API.
The second is when I login as the user I'm testing, there is nothing in the folder portlet. If I click on the customize link, the folder I try to set with the API is in the pop-up window. So it seems like I'm setting almost everything correctly since it is seeing what I set in the pop-up window, but I'm missing something because it's not making it all the way to the portlet.
Any ideas would be great.

Error when running oracle seeded page in Jdeveloper 9i

All,
I have moved all the necessary files fro server to JDeveloper my classes as well as JDeveloper my projects
But when run a page in JDeveloper in the following path C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\oie\audit\webui\OIE_AUD_AUDIT_PAGE i am getting the below error But i can able to run helloworld page from toolbox.jws
"*oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Application: FND, Message Name: FND-INVALID APPLICATION. Tokens: APPL = oie; (Could not lookup message because there is no database connection)*"
Can you please help me to resolve this issue.

E-Business Suite exposes services in a number of ways. In HRMS, those services are essential PLSQL APIs, Java APIs and Workflow Business Events. All of these types of events are recorded in the Integration Repository, which is the foundation for the Integrated SOA Gateway in 12.1.
Now the Integrated SOA Gateway converts the PLSQL APIs (etc) into SOAP web services. This allows products like BPEL (and any technology that can consume web services) to integrate with the E-Business Suite. It's very powerful stuff and opens up all sorts of integration opportunities with E-Business Suite.
That said, there's nothing I know of in HRMS - out-the-box - that provides SMS or IVR integration. You could take a look at:

Forms 10g crashes while opening an oversize Oracle seeded form

Hi,
I am trying to open Oracle R12 seeded form 'PAXPREPR' using forms 10g. I connect to the database before opening the file. The size of the file is 11.8MB.
But when i open this file, oracle forms crashes without any error message.
I checked the 11i version of same form, that is of size 6.07 MB, and that opens fine with forms 10g.
Is it a way i can reduce the size of file, or open it with some way. I just want to have look into some code in the form, and find out any changes done from 11i to R12.
My form builder version is Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2
and running on Windows 7.

The seeded Oracle Report All Inventory Values Report output is in paper layot. Could anyone tell how this report output should be taken in excel?

Actually we are using oracle DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) package to convert our reports in EXCEL.
Like..
In After Parameter Form we are opening one excel sheet in local drive and then sending some header data through
that trigger.
Fuction we are using are
DDE.APP_BEGIN -- For Opening excel sheet
DDE.INITIATE -- For initializing that sheet in variable
DDE.POKE -- For sending data in excel
From this AFTER PARAMETER trigger of report you have to keep the last row inserted in excel.
Then in reports repeating frame you will use only
DDE.POKE package for sending data in excel by increasing the row + (the last number returned by AFTER PARAMETER)

Trying to add a new region to an Oracle seeded page

Hi,
I have a requirement in my project where I have to add a sub tab region to standard OAF page. I have created an independent region for the same and using XML importer loaded the page on server.
Through personalization, I am trying to add region of stack layout in subtab region of the standard page. I get the following error while trying to do so:

Extends: Invalid value: /sspn/oracle/apps/po/document/agreement/webui/SSPN_SiteRegBpaRN: the reference may not exist. (oracle.adf.mds.MetadataDefException: Unable to find component with absolute reference = /sspn/oracle/apps/po/document/agreement/webui/SSPN_SiteRegBpaRN, XML Path = null. Please verify that the reference is valid and the definition of the component exists either on the File System or in the MDS Repository.)
Do i need to create a controller for this region as my intention was just to first see the layout on screen and then add the controller later. Anybody who has encountered similiar error, please help.

Yes I have bounced the Apache.
I have also imported the xml file using the following command:
java oracle.jrad.tools.xml.importer.XMLImporter /shapp001/applmgr/ODEV1/apps_st/appl/sspn/12.0.0/xml/oracle/apps/po/document/agreement/webui/SSPN_SiteRegBpaRN.xml -username apps -password <apps_pwd> -dbconnection "(description=(address_list=(address=(protocol=tcp)(host =chelan.stl.mo.boeing.com)(port=1568)))(connect_data=(sid=ODEV1)))"
It gave the output in command prompt as:
Importing file "/shapp001/applmgr/ODEV1/apps_st/appl/sspn/12.0.0/xml/oracle/apps/po/document/agreement/webui/SSPN_SiteRegBpaRN.xml" as "/oracle/apps/po/document/agreement/webui/SSPN_SiteRegBpaRN".
Please let me know if tha above command is correct or not. Also the xml file should be kept in which path
in /shapp001/applmgr/ODEV1/apps_st/comn/java/classes/sspn/oracle/apps/po/document/agreement/webui
or

Oracle seeded form color got changed after registration of a custom form

Hi,
I have register a custom form in Oracle apps 11i.
Custom form is opening properly but when we are navigating to open the oracle standard form, oracle standard form is coming completely black.
Could you please through some light on it. It would be great help.

Sounds like your new form was not based on the EBS template.fmb so your new form has a different color pallet. When developing for the EBS, you should always use the template.fmb as the starting point for any new form. To fix this, I recommend you open the template.fmb and your new form and then copy all of the objects from your new form into the template.fmb and then save the template.fmb as your new form. You could change the color pallet, but there may be other things your new form is missing so it would be best to start with the template.fmb. This will ensure you have all of the default triggers and libraries attached that an EBS form should have. :)
