Oracle Services not seen in Service Panel

I am runnig an Oracle 9 database on Windows NT server.
For some reason the Oracle Services that was seen in the Services Window of the Control Panel disappeared.I could see the regedit is safe and the Database is running.How do I get the services to appear on the service window.

Please maintain service conditions through Txn ML33.

Views in Oracle DB not seen thru DBConnect

Has anyone come across a situation where a View created on an Oracle DB is not seen thru DB Connect ?
I have views created on an Oracle DB, which can be confirmed independently via pl/sql. When I establish link between a SAP BW and the Oracle DB using a DB Connect, (-intention being to extract data from the Oracle DB into the BW) I dont seem to see some of the views. I am trying to repeat the case to see if there is an issue with 'Grant Access' on the Oracle side. Any ideas ?

When you said I dont seem to see some of the views, Do you mean you can actually see other views?
Now you problem is easy if thats the case since you just need to pattern your view to whatever attributes your other views that is VIEWABLE via DBConnect posseses. (Rights, data types f the fields, number of fields, length of each field, etc.)
Check the data types. I think there is an issue with Date Data Types in Oracle, I think you have to convert it to CHARS.

Defined rule not seen in Properties Panel

I am a novice, using DW CS5, trying to learn the 1 column liquid, centered, header and footer layout provided.
The following rule is seen in Code View, as well as in the CSS Panel:

However, this rule is not available in the Properties Panel, as are the others to apply, e.g. .content.
I'm sure that the answer is simple, but it eludes me.

Exactly what do you mean by "not available" in the Properties panel?
Are you looking at the HTML properties or CSS properties inspector?
And what are you trying to do with the list elements?
If you're trying to insert a list, use the HTML properties inspector and click on the bullet (unordered list) or numbered (ordered list) icon.

HT1926 Cannot install ADM in upgrading to iTunes 10.6.3 64-bit. Install does a 'rollback'. iTunes works but iPhone "DEVICE" is not seen in left panel.

Furthermore... AMD is not listed when I try the "Uninstall" trick - but all other Apple SW is - Bonjour, Quicktime etc.

One suggestion was to make sure AMD was started - go to admin, services etc. and make sure Apple Mobile Device is started. In my issue there is NO AMD listed in Services (local).
I have tried to reinstall/install at least 5 times - I always get to the 'rollback'. BUT - iTunes works! It is just that when I plug in my iPhone 4S it isn't recognized under Device.
I have Win 7 64-bit (and yes, I did download the correct 64-bit version). AMD does not install.
My version is 10.6
Before the upgrade everything worked fine. My iPhone is recognized at a local Apple store - so it's not the iPhone.

Actionscript code can be seen in a search, but not seen in Actions Panel nor symbol

I purchased a template which has flash menu buttons. The current button url's go to index.html, index-2.html, index-3.html, and so on. I want to change these. In Flash, I searched for index-3.html and it finds it at the location: Symbol 'Button2 copy 3' -> Layer 'Layer 4' -> Frame '1' and the actionscript command is: getURL("index-3.html");
Everything is fine so far. However, when I double-click the symbol and go to the location (or double-click the search result), the actionscript command cannot be found at all. I tried pressing F9 to open the Actions Panel, and I see the button symbol but I don't see any actionscript commands associated with it. It seems to be very unusual - the search picks up the actionscript command but it can't be seen in the symbol's location where it says it is nor can it be seen in the Actions Panel. The script does work but it just cannot be seen! Does anyone know how to see the actionscript code in the Actions Panel or in the button symbol?

Error in starting the service Oracle CSService not found

Hi all,
i am trying to install Oracle Enterprise manager grid control,
i am getting the following error message
"error in starting the service Oracle CSService not found"
when i checked in the "services.msc" the Oracle CSService is not started, so i tried to start the service, but its not starting and giving the error message as "error 3 system cannot find the path specified"
then i checked in the service properties, and the path is pointing to a different directory,
now i want to change this path to the correct oracle bin directory.
any views how to cnage/update this path in the services.msc, for "Oracle CSService"

i have got the answer for this question, i updated the registry with the correct file path, and then closed the registry, the services.msc file is automatically updated with the correct path
and then started the CSService, then went to the OEM setup i clicked Retry buton, then it went through.

Oracle service, Listener and http server does not start automatically

I have Oracle 9i release 2 installed on Unix HP box if system restart in case of power failure the Oracle service, Listener and http server does not start automatically, is there any ready reference available to check what's wrong is happening(I don't have knowledge of Unix).

Oracle Services are not removed from system (10g, on Windows 2003)

I haven't used Oracle on Windows Os before and not sure what to do.
Here is what happened
1- I installed 10g on windows 2003 server, created a database with service name OPER
2- I was unhappy with the installation and removed it.
3- then I installed Oracle 10g software again, creating a database again which has name IZROPER
now, there are two of every oracle service in the services.msci
service names containing the first db's (OPER) are still showing up in services, how can I remove them?

In regedit mode --> HKLM -> SYSTEM -- currentcontrol set --> services --> here Oracle services are avilable , you can delete from here.

Oracle service and listener not starting

In my oracle 10.1.0.2.0 on windows Xp server today I found all the oracle services are stopped and when I try to start the listener it gives me the following error..

I have set the oracle_home and oracle_sid also no difference. I tried to start from windows service window it gives me error 3: can not find the path specified.
I have re-created the listener and net configuration but still no improvement.
Any advice from you please?

do you any other version of oracle installed in your system...
the conflict will be beause of that...
u need to set environment variable for oracle_home as your 10g database... then restart the system...
then set oracle_sid
it should work

She noted that over the 2 years i had used only a few minutes of talk, one to 2 texts per month ( at a fee of $. 20 each ) and a minuscule amount of data... and that the phone was for emergency contact to me from my disabled invalid wife only. She searched and found a discount special plan for a savings of $15.00 per month with a final monthly fee before taxes of $45 and not $59 per month to start on Oct 1st. Oracle Services Does Not Start

Hi,
I have a problem here, I have installed oracle 8.1.5 on the compaq pro liant server and its running on NT 4, just now the server rebooted due to a power failure, when the server finaly starts, the oracle services doest not start (only the oracle Agent is get started). When i chk the event viewer it says .. Could Not Start this service due to a logon failure..
Could anyone pls let me know the order in which the oracle services should start.

Hi,
you start all your oracle services except "OracleOraHome81ManagementServer". Specially try to start "OracleOraHome81DataGatherer", "OracleOraHome81TNSListener" and service you have created for your database.

If you check each element then you will know that tableElement defines a namespace as xmlns:tran="http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/transports" which is neither being used by the node nor its child elements. Also the error in server logs was:-com.bea.wli.sb.transports.TransportException: URI index 0 is not valid.+
It stuck that we were doing something wrong here. I checked other elements in the same file and found that some of them were starting the node as <tableElement xmlns="http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/transports">. So, tableElements should be qualified with this namespace:-http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/transports. It was clear there was issue with qualified name of the element and hence I added the prefix "tran" and made entry as:-

When I executed the changed customization file it worked. I checked with few more elements and they all worked making me sure that this was the error.
So, the issue was that the OSB was not able to find any URI and for index 0 there was no URI available. Hence we were getting a weird error which was not at all user friendly. However, while making the OSb they must have thought that no one will make any manual changes (by hand in the file) and this error would be sufficient to tell that there is something wrong with the customization and we must regenerate the customization file.
Only solution that we do not receive this error in future is rather than making changes to the customization file manually we should use OSB console or scripts to replace the properties. Otherwise we need to be very careful while touching the Customization file.

Oracle Services for MTS on multiple servers - does not work

I am having problems with running transactional component (COM+) using Oracle Services for MTS.
I've been through pretty much all the messages in this forum, and I believe that I have
configured things correctly. Here are the details. Sorry for the long post. I wanted to give as much details as possible.
Database - Oracle 8i (8.1.7)
Machine I
1. Has Oracle Client 8.1.7 with 8.1.7.4.1 Patch set
2. Installed OraOLEDB version 8.1.7.3 and OraMTS
3. Configured Oracle MTS Service with MTSSYS against the database.
4. MSDTC is up and running
5. Transactional components registered properly in COM+.
6. Contains MDAC 2.6 SP1
7. Followed Microsoft Documentation (Using Oracle with MTS/COM+) to incorporate registry fixes
for MTXOCI - set OracleOciLib = oci.dll
OracleSQLLib = orasql8.dll
OracleXALib = oraclient8.dll

I have verified the database MTS_PROXY_INFO and the information seems to point to Machine I properly.
When I run the application on Machine I, things work OK, the component executes and performs its job
(just doing a transactional insert into a table is all). I try the same application on Machine II
and the application hangs and it waits forever in IDBInitialize->Initialize method, probably when trying to join a transaction. Here is a trace snippet

I have the same problem, one which works and another which don't (almost though).
I got most of it to work by taking the mtsservices registry entry from the server that works and put it on to the other after i have made the service in Oracle management console for mts.
Now i can search, delete, change but not make a new entry into the database.
And thats where i'm stuck now.

I Have done a fresh installation of Oracle 11g database on my PC. Once the installation got over, Oracle services were started, and I was able to use the database as normal.
Now after rebooting the PC, when I again restarted the Services, I am once again getting the below error on starting OracleService:-
