Oracle SOA B2B 10g Console Issue

Hi All,
I'm trying to create a Business Action in Oracle SOA B2B 10g Console but getting below error, please suggest.
Error
An error occured when creating the business action
Erroe -: AIP-11052: Writing following objects: Document Type failed due to following constraint violation:
DOCUMENTTPE. CAN NOT UPDATE UNVERSIONABLE OBJECT IN A VALIDATED CONFIGURATION
Using Custom Document over Generic exchange protocol to create a business action.
Note: Tried by bouncing server once, even though getting same error.

Oracle 10g version is very old release of Oracle B2B. In the 11g or 12c release, it has been enhanced with many features, optimised, integrated with SOA and it is very easy to use.
Hence it is highly advised to install the later version of 11g or 12c.

I am installating (basic installation) Oracle SOA Suite 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.x), I have Vista OS. Configuration assisstant ran successfully till (App server, ESB, BPEL prcoess manager) it reached to Web Services Manager. It threw up following error-

Unable to start Oracle Soa suite 10g on Windows 7

I am able install oracle soa suite 10g on Windows7 platform. But I am unable to start Oracle Soa Suite 10g. Wenever I am starting the SOA suite a new window is popping up the default color scheme of windows 7 is getting changed, but after that this window is disappearing without showing any error. From the task manager console I can see that a javaw process is getting started, but this opmn process is not getting started.
System configuration -
OS : Windows7
RAM: 2 GB
SOA Suite installation : Default (Including JDK and DataBase configuration).
If you have any resolution to this strange problem please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I would be surprised if the amount of RAM in your machine is a limiting factor...

Oracle Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.1.0) with Oracle Forms

I need run an Oracle Forms 6i application on then web, after migration process that convert modules to Oracle Forms 10g modules, can i run my application on the Oracle Application Server latest version (Oracle Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.1.0))?

Forms and reports is not included in the 10.1.3 release - so you need to deploy Forms and reports on 10.1.2 and 10.1.3 on a different installation home. Next release of Forms will be 11

Oracle SOA Suite 10g; problem install

Good morning,
I try to install Oracle SOA Suite 10g, the install hangs at the last step in installing Oracle Web Services Manager by invoking the following message: Unable to locate a valid OC4J URI. Probably The Server is down.
When I execute opmnctl startall_ , it gives me errors and the installation gives the same error. ( Unable to locate a valid OC4J URI. Probably The Server is down)

and if it was 32 bit, is that mean that the OC4J will use maximum 3GB memory and it cant use more????
and if this is true, is there a workaround to make the OC4J use memory more than 3GB (like 8GB or 16.....)

Yes it is possible, but be ware of the runing instances, the callback URL's expect the old IP adress in the endpoint. This is not possible to change.

Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g installation issues

Hi All,
I have downloaded the OWB 10g, from the site. I have Oracle 10g (Release 2) database server installed on the machine.
When I start installing Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g, it just does the client installation and I am not able to find out were should I search for the OWB server installation?
Even I have checked by installing the same but I just have Repository Assistant , Design Center and Repository Browser available on the machine. I could not find the Runtime Assistant & Control Center to work on?
Can somebody help me out with these issues?

How do I download and install Warehouse Builder Client versus Warehouse Builder Server?
Warehouse Builder is a single install image that contains both Client and Server components, which are installed at the same time as part of the installation process. If the deployment target database is on the same machine as Warehouse Builder Client UI, there is one single installation process. If the deployment target database is on a separate machine, the install process has to be run twice, repeating the exact same install process on the client machine (to run the Warehouse Builder Design client) and the deployment target machine. Normally when installing the repository, either locally or remotely, the OWB software needs to be already present on the machine. However, it is possible to skip or defer the step of installing on the target deployment machine. This is referred to as a “Remote Target Configuration”. More information on this can be found in the Installation Guide, Chapter 2, “Remote Target”.

Applications-automatically undeployed from Soa Server 10g Console.

Hello All,
Morning , need some help with this point as well.
We had deployed some custom applications to the OAS 10g via the Application Server Control by using the .ear ( Enterprise Archive file for J2EE applications) file. These get successfully deployed via the front end as well & we are able to invoke these as well.
But it seems when the App Server gets bounced and comes back up , we don't see these applications deployed and hence these couldn't be invoked.
This is happening all the time now as the services gets bounced.
Could someone please help how we could troubleshoot this issue & how this could be prevented ..how to know what is causing the automatic undeployment to happen from the Oracle Application Server 10g.
We are stuck & looking fwd to some inputs surely.

Want to decode PGP encrypted edi files with oracle soa b2b 11.1.1.6.0

I am working on a scenario where the trading parter(TP) will publish the edi to our FTP server. These edi files are encrypted using PGP software( we have to provide them our public key for this).
I have never worked with encryption\ decryption before, but I understand the theory of cryptography.
Question 1: Can we install PGP on top of soa 11g server and configure the b2b to decode the file using our private key.
Question 2: If SOA 11g server do not support PGP, then shall i install PGP at the FTP server, and use java to decode the file(using the private key) to a new location and B2B can pick the decode file from here.
These are two strategy I have planed, please guide me which one is feasible\best , and if you know the steps to implement please do share it with me.

Both options are feasible but for option#1 (PGP decryption at B2B/SOA), you have to write a java callout. B2B/SOA 11g does not support PGP out-of-box but it can be achieved using java callout. I would prefer option#2, personally as in this case, PGP decryption will be done out of SOA/B2B and hence it will be hot pluggable (can be removed in future, if required, without modifying SOA/B2B configuration).

How to run SSO registration tool in Oracle SOA Suite 10g

Hi,
I want to enable SSO for applications running in SOA Suite.
All the documentation discuss about enabling OSSO in Oracle Infrastructure or Oracle Identity Server but not for SOA Suite.
The biggest issue is SOA Suite doesnot has ORASSO application in it, so please guide me how to implement O-SSO in SOA Suite.

When you refer to the SOA suite, are you talking about the HTTP Server and OC4J or the BPEL products?
For HTTP server and OC4J, implementation is done like that of a AS10g middle tier. You need to run the SSO registration tool and configure the containers to use SSO. To do this you need to have a IDM 10.1.4 installed somewhere else.

I found the solution, if anyone has the same error, here is the solution:
The cause of an error was improper configuration of the host. The ping returned two different IP addresses:
oas@myhost $ ping -a myhost

I removed the wrong IP address for myhost.domain.com in /etc/inet/ipnodes:
