Thanks for your response with valuable information.
Have you worked on BPEL,ESB,Adapters? If yes, It'a good goto Second one as mentioned above.
yes, iam currently working on oracle soa suite 11g product. I have the basic idea about how to use bpe process managerl (Business process Execution language- to combine the service into composite service, including from existing service (j2ee platform , legacy service and packaged service ) using concerned Adapters) and OSB(Oracle Service Bus) how to integrate application among business partners ,and how to transform the document in one format(xml document, csv, flat file etc ) into other format according to partner's or applications xml schema document.
but i want to go on oracle soa architect cert
since i have been working on oracle soa product, i have an idea of how to prepare for ORACE SOA ARCHITECT CERT.

Can a dotnet application talk with unix os using Oracle SOA Suit?
how can a dotnet application talk with unix operating system using Oracle SOA Suite? I have to automate a process on unix server like create user through dotnet application.. is it possible?
My dotnet application is used for creating users, granting access on the servers. Some servers are 21C servers and some are legacy servers. In this dotnet application a user make certain request for the rights on those servers e.g. create user, give access rights, change password. This application is treated as user interface and maintaining tool of all this information and later on the basis of that request it generates the job-sheet. This job sheet is forwarded to responsible engineer who further provisions the request manually by going to that specific server in the request. So I want to automate this process that when user put any access or create user request then the moment he puts the request, that request should be provisioned without any human intervention i.e. automatically users must be created or password must be changed. I believe you will get an enough idea about my problem from all above information. So please help me.Post your query at "SOA Suite Discussion Forum"

Installation problem for oracle SOA Suite11gR1
Hi,
I am new to oracle fusion middleware product. Now trying to install SOA Suite 11g R1
Installation of Oracle SOA 11g R1 is five step process where step 1 & 2 are same for most of Fusion Middleware 11g products (WebCenter, Identity Management..)
1. Install Oracle Database (repository for SOA Suite) and load Oracle SOA suite repository using rcu (Repository Creation Utility).
2. Install Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.1)
3. Install Oracle SOA Suite 11g R1 (11.1.1)
4. Configure SOA Suite (soa & bam) by creating domain - Administration and Managed Server in WebLogic
5. Start Administration & Managed Server (soa_server1, bam_server1) for SOA 11g R1
I tried to install one by one. When I run repository creation utility in oracle DB 11g it failed so unable to proceed further. I tried 3 times all failed.
Any help on installation process will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
SunamHi,
What is the error you are getting in your RCU?
If it is related to some processes, then you need to adjust your db processes value.
Login to DB as sysdba. Run this following command.
SQL > conn sys as sysdba
SQL >alter system set processes = 2300 scope = spfile;
SQL > shutdown immediate
SQL > startup
Then retry with RCU.
Let me know if this helps!!!

Dumb questions on oracle database jobs scheduling:
Assume we are scheduling database jobs with all default values( except what to run, when to run)
job_queue_processes=1000
1) If a job is scheduled to run every 5 minutes. Currently if the job is taking 2 minutes to run based on data, now later after few months
if the job takes 7 minutes to run. Will there be duplicate jobs running at any given time ?
2) Can the same job be running more than once at the same instance ?
ThanksIf you are using DBMS_JOB then, assuming that what you mean when you say that the job is scheduled to run every 5 minutes is that you specified an INTERVAL of sysdate + interval '5' minute when you created the job, that interval is evaluated to determine the next runtime only after the current run completes. If the job actually runs for 2 minutes, that would mean that the job actually runs every 7 minutes not every 5 minutes. If the job then starts taking 7 minutes, the job will actually run every 12 minutes.

How can I use custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in Weblogic
Hi There,
I'm trying to view and search the weblogic log files using WLST on a Solaris/Unix system.
I have come across this "custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite" and thought of using the custom logging commands to get my task done.
However, my WLST shell is not recognizing the commands and giving me the NameError!
wls:/devDomain1/domainRuntime> listLogs()
Traceback (innermost last):
File "<console>", line 1, in ?
NameError: listLogs
I tried the commands listLogs, displayLogs, getLogLevel & setLogLevel but in vain!
I have followed the instructions as per the oracle recommendation of using Custom WLST commands (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29597_01/core.1111/e10105/getstart.htm#ASADM10692) as below
- Launched the WLST shell from Oracle Home.
cd ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
./wlst.sh
- Tried to run the listLogs command from domainRuntime()
I would like to know if I need to import any additional libraries to run the custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in my WLST shell?
I have only weblogic 10.3.1 server installed on my Solaris 10 machine on which I have deployed the OSB application software.
There is no SOA Suite installed.
Or is there any other way I can browse the Server Log file and get the list of log messages? Basically I would like to use this feature in my script to customize it according to my requirement of listing specific error logs which I can work it out if I know how to make these commands work.
Please advise if this is possible and how?
Cheers.
SatishI have tried on my OSB installation (no SOA Suite here), the command listLogs() works (I was in online mode, after a connect), and the classpath is:

I am using JDevelpoer 10.1.3.5 and SOA Suite 10g. Please help me to figure it out.
ThanksMake sure you use the similar version of soa suite and JDev 10135. If you are using JDev 10.1.3.5, your soa suite version should be 10.1.3.5. I was just wondering if you were ever able to deploy any other process successfully from the similar JDev and on similar SOA Suite ? If not you need to revisit your soa suite installation again.
Also check the log files on the server to see if any errors are recorded. -

Installing Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.10 for Windows
He,
I have a probleme with Oralce SOA suite instalation. I can't find the Oracle Database verssions in the oracle website, supported by Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.10.
Oracle Database 10g Release 1 (10.1.x) 10.1.0.5 or later
Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.x) 10.2.0.2 or later
For windows.
Can you help me?
ThinksFrom the 11g Quick Intallation Guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/install.111/b32301/toc.htm):
Oracle Database for 32-bit Windows is supported on the following operating systems:
- Windows 2000 with Service Pack 1 or later. All editions, including Terminal Services and Microsoft Windows 2000 MultiLanguage Edition (MLE), are supported.
- Windows Server 2003 - all editions
- Windows Server 2003 R2 - all editions
- Windows XP Professional
- Windows Vista - Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions
Are perhaps not running XP Professional? Otherwise, like I said before, contact customer support. Even 11g (and 10g) are supported on XP.

Error Installing Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.1
Hi Gurus,
I was in the process of installing Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.1 on Windows 2003, the installer seemed to take a lot of time at the 92% point, a closer examination that was the point at which the opmnctl was starting the services. After that, the installer proceeds to conclude the setup successfully but the opmn log indicates an error as shown below

The installer then indicates that the setup is successful despite the OPMN error. After the setup however, the Application server configuration assistant and the OPMN configuration assistant fail with the errors below:

I have not been able to establish the cause of this problem, any help will be greatly appreciated.
EdwinI have tried that option but the result was the same, however, I realized that there was a .err file among the installation logs and below are the contents:

I don't know whether this could have something to do with the error.

I had installed Java 1.6.0b105 and Java SE Runtime Environment 6. I removed both and re-installed Java SE 6 update 4 (build 1.6.0_04-b12) but this made no difference.
I have McAfee installed and disabled it's services still no joy.
Please could someone suggest a solution to prevent this error?
Thanks in advance
JanInstalling from a CD or from a download? It may be corrupt.
I suggest you compare the checksum of the downloaded file with the checksum as listed on the download page.
The installer is supposed to use its own JRE, so it should not use your installed one. -
Error while upgrading Oracle SOA 10.1.3.3 to 10.1.3.5
Hi,
Iam trying to upgrade Oracle SOA ver.10.1.3.3 to 10.1.3.5 on a windows server. The following steps were followed.
1. SOA was stopped. Back up of the SOA folder was taken.
2. SOA uses the default Olite database. Connected to the BPEL schema and run the upgrade_10133_10135_olite.sql script.
It errored out in the upgrade process of 10.1.3.3 to 10.1.3.4.
The esb schema upgrade script executed without error. Have any one faced similar issue? or aware of the reason? Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

Internal Error:AllocStatement: Request Communication FailedHi,
IF ORACLE DATABASE HAS ALREADY HAS ORABPEL AND ORAESB USERS, I don't know password.:
My remarks. If you upgrade a SOA suite to a higher version, you always need to known the passwords of the Oracle dehydration store (orabpel/orawsm/oraesb). If you do not know that, call your DBA. Otherwise try: the same password as the user name or try 'welcome1'. You could also force to change the password via the system user; alter user <user> identified by <password>;
IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO UPGRADE Oracle SOA 10.1.3.1.0 to Oracle SOA 10.1.3.4.0?
Yes! 10.1.3.4 is the succeeder of 10.1.3.3, in the beginning of next year 10.1.3.5 (with WLS 10.3) will come out. Note if you use 10.1.3.4 download also the latest patchset from metalink.
