Mapviewer 12c recently became available on OTN, but there is no documentation yet.
    (Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer)
Does any one know when the supporting docs (and demos) will be available?

Thanks so much.  I had not seen that link.  I was relying on the original Mapviewer page on Oracle's site (Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer), but Oracle had not been updated with this new documentaion information.  It only provided the download for Mapviewer 12c.  Thanks again.

  • Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware (11.1.1.3.0) Report Configuration Issue

Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware (11.1.1.3.0) Report Configuration Issue
    =============================================
    Hi All,
I have installed Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware (11.1.1.3.0) on Oracle Linux 5 and getting some issues while configuring. What's happening is that when I run my report, it looks for the library attached to it. If I define the REPORTS_PATH in reports.sh, it works fine.
What I want to achieve is to push reports to use REPORTS_PATH environment variable from rwserver.conf instead of reports.sh
Someone told me to remove the REPORTS_PATH from reports.sh and add the REPORTS_PATH from reports.sh to a default.env in rwserver.conf, but it didn't worked.
What I know about the report server stuff in 11g Fusion Middleware is that it consists of two different servers (Standalone and In Process). Our application runs report using SRW.RUN_REPORT which basically use In Process report server setting in rwserver.conf to run the report.
The heirarchy in which reports try to look for the REPORTS_PATH is
    1) REPORTS.sh
    2) rwserver.conf
    3) Settings as per Oracle Enterprise Manager Configuration Settings.
My standalone report server name is ReportsServer_hostname_asinst_F and the In Process Server name is rep_wls_reports_hostname_asinst_frd. When I define rep_wls_reports_hostname_asinst_frd (In process Report Server Name) for the server name parameter, I do not get any results for the report run using srw.run_report. Also I can't see the reason behind the report executed because of the following issue
    http://hostname:8888/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?server=rep_wls_reports_hostname_asinst_frd
REP-51019: System user authentication is missing.
** the Singlesignon in rwservlet.properties is defined as no
But when I define ReportsServer_hostname_asinst_F (Standalone Report Server Name) as server parameter and ran the report using srw.run_report, I get result with the REPORTS_PATH defined in reports.sh not using rwserver.conf file.
    http://hostname:8888/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?server=ReportsServer_hostname_asinst_F
(which shows the report just run).
Can someone who did Report Server configuration using ENV files (changing rwserver.conf), pls. send me the screenshots. Want to make sure if I am changing the correct files under correct location.
Pls. feel free to ask me questions related to the environment set up.
    Thanks

  • Is Oracle Spatial, Mapbuilder and Mapviewer supports TTF(True Type Fonts)

    Hi to all,
Is Oracle Spatial, Mapbuilder and Mapviewer Supports TTF,How to load TTF into Oracle Spatial and how to assign TTF to Point Data,
i think Map Builder had option, but how load using map builder,
is any Oracle script to load TTF,pl provide help.
    Regards,
    Ramakrishna.V

You can only use ttf symbols for markers.
in MapBuilder click on Tools menu, click on Import Truetype font.
Use the mapbuilder that is part of the latest kit on OTN. It contains some fixes for TTF handling.

  • Fusion Middleware Control for Oracle WebTier without WebLogic installed ?

    Hello,
In our IT company, we usually install and configure middleware software from the OpenSource range (Apache HTTP, Tomcat, JBoss), as well as commercial products from IBM (WebSphere products).
For one of our customer, it is nevertheless mandatory to use Oracle WebTier 11g (especially Oracle WebCache and OHS), due to legacy reasons. I'm totally new with Oracle Middleware products, and I've begun to read the official manuals, but they mention references to Fusion Middleware Control, a webized console to manage them.
The fact is that we won't install WebLogic in our infrastructure, but only WebTier (our customer doesn't need WebLogic) : it seems that this Fusion Middleware Control console comes only with WebLogic, and therefore, that I'm not able to run it in my configuration in order to manage both WebCache and OHS.
Am I right with this ?
If yes, is there another way (I guess so) to manage WebCache and OHS, without Fusion Middleware Control ? Any advices to find resources about this hypothetical other way to manager WebTier ?
    Thanks for your help,
    Vincent.

To my knowledge 'Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control' is not downloadable
    as a separate application.
When you look at the demos here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/grid-control/index-092888.html
especially 'SOA Performance Management with Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g' (http://download.oracle.com/technology/products/oem/screenwatches/SOA11g/SOA11g.html),
you can see that 'Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control' is part of grid control.
Additional information about grid contol can be found here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/grid-control/overview/index.html

  • Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware Control, CGICMD.DAT

Finally, I have Weblogic and Oracle 11g Forms and Reports up and running.  Now, I would like to create a Mapping Key in the CGICMD.DAT file, so that all the login information will not show up in the URL when I run a report.  Can someone please tell me how to do this through the Middleware Control console?  I do know that i have to go through the MBeans System to find "CgicmdConfigMXBean" but it seems like trying to find a needle in a haystack.  Also, is there a specific format when creating a Mapping Key?  would like to include the path, userid information for connection to the reports.
    thank you,

"What is BPEL y we require that."
Other people cited good "what is BPEL" technical information. In plain words, BPEL is an XML-based language to implement business processes, to integrate data from various applications so everyone can see it whether it is originally flat-file, XML, messages, legacy systems, whatever.
    Why "we" require it:
Part 1 (Managers): Allows integrators to quickly build systems based on business process diagrams by non-technical business analysts. Makes data from many applications available to the business, particularly for "real time" monitoring of how the business is doing.
Part 2 (Engineers): Allows us to get process specifications from the business users and rapidly build applications. Once an XML and/or web-service interface is created for a legacy application, we can re-use it immediately to integrate with other systems.
I suspect others will clarify/add to this.
    Regards,
    Andy

Reengineering Desktop Thick Workgroups into Web
    Rich Enterprise Clients
Bryan Hall, Spatial Architect, L-3 Communications
Jeff Walawender, Senior Software Engineer, L-3 Communications
Cost cutting requires reengineering spatial solutions to directly address business requirements. But enterprise computing for spatial data has, with even "Web 2.0", required the user to lose the responsiveness and feedback that traditional desktop thick client GIS software has provided. We took a different approach in the re-engineering effort and concentrated on making it work as much like a traditional desktop thick client - while simplifying use, making editing more reliable, and actually speeding up rendering. All this, while only supporting one versioned Oracle Spatial database, and application tier for all users.

I want information about spatial indexing like creation, maintenence ..etc.
It would be a great help if you can refer any relevant documents, articles or presentations.
    Thanks in advance
    Cheers
    Antony

    Welcome Antony
First place to start is the user documentation:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/B14255_01/toc.htm
start reading on the indexing here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/B14255_01/sdo_intro.htm#sthref98
As an alternative/added value the Pro Oracle Spatial book is also a very good reference.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/spatial/htdocs/pro_oracle_spatial.html
there is also a second version for 11g.
For the maintenance, certainly from a DBA point of view, it is worthwhile looking at Radius Check. The lightweight free version offers an easy overview on the geometry tables, their metadata and their spatial indexes.
The professional version also gives Checks for invalid geometries with fixing capabilities.
On the Oracle Spatial Download page (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/spatial/htdocs/spatial_partners_downloads.html), you can find the link second at the top to the webpage of Radius Check (http://www.1spatial.com/products/radius_check/index.php).
    Good Luck
