The short answer is no, you cannot set the size of the margin
dynamically.
It is really not clear from your request - exactly what you are
trying to accomplish. There are many ways to make your report
handle specific conditions that you may encounter. We depend on

request, there is likely to be one or more acceptable solutions

I've used Firefox for 8 years, since version 0.8. I'm giving up.
For the past year the development team has ignored complaints from long-time users about design and function changes, and now Beta 15 is failing catastrophically -- it should not have been released into Beta. (When I upgraded from 14 to 15, I had 204 tabs open. After restart, I had 204 *empty* "New Tab"s -- everything I was working on for the week, lost. The next morning I found that after going to one web page (any page), it's almost impossible to leave it -- typing a new address does nothing. Clicking on bookmarks or history - nothing. With development spinning its wheels on endless updates of questionable value, and the quality of "beta" having fallen to "alpha", I downloaded Chrome, and that's what I'm using now.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

@oracle team; forms server help desparately needed

my company is trying to migrate client machines to linux. our setup should be the following:
database <-> forms server <-> linux client with applet viewer
v9.2.....................v9i.................debian 3.0, j2sdk1.3
i am working on this setup for some months(!) now but i cannot get the clients to communicate stable with the rest of the setup.
problem: quite frequently the appletviewer will just hang and cause the forms server to create a
f90webm_dump_`$PID` file
in its working directory containing the following information:
[Mon Jan 20 21:58:29 2003 CET]::Client Status [ConnId=0, PID=10033]
>> Network connection to client failed: timeout on connection
the people working on the client machines are quite quickly inputting data into our databases. the appletviewer will hang more often on machines < 500 MHz but it also hangs on machines with more than 1.5 GHz and 512 MB DDR
i have literally tried everything:
i tried these java versions:
1.1, 1.3_x, 1.4.1 from sun, blackdown, ibm and even the one that came with the forms server on the clients
i tried to tune every setting on the forms server and in the jvm.cfg. i even tried to install the forms server on the clients so that i would have one tcp connection less to definitely exclude network failure as a possible reason.
i tried to use the PREEMPT_CLOSE setting, i even patched the kernels (low latency patch), analysed megabytes of debug logging, tried to strace the appletviewer to find WHY it keeps hanging!!!!
i tried to use different linux versions for best compatibility on the clients as well as on the forms server:
debian potato, woody, sarge, sid
suse 7.1, 7.2, 7.3
redhat 7.2, 7.3
i have read almost ALL documentation you could possibly read to find the reason of this problem.

PLEASE just tell me that you have even tested this product and that you know how to make it work in a stable way. we can even pay you money to give us the solution. we have been using oracle forms for 7 years now and we want to stick with it. but our clients HAVE to be able to run the linux OS.
i have posted this problem 2 or 3 times already but somehow either noone seems to read this or noone has ever tried to use a three tier setup with linux on the middle and the client tier.
as i said i have wasted MONTHS already trying to get this to work and i am out of ideas what could cause this.

sorry for not responding a few days, i didnt have the possibility to do so.
if you access and run the application from a Windows
client using JInitiator, what happens.i have tried that of course and it seemed to be stable. (no hang in about 2 and a half days). i dont think it is a problem on the forms server itself...maybe just some setting that doesnt cooperate well with the appletviewer.
Since we don't
certify Forms9i with appletviewer, we didn't test it
there.thats what i thought to be honest....since you say "we"; do you work for oracle?
So first thing to do is to check if the
problem is a client issue or a server side problem.seems more like a client proble to me though....somehow it looks like some deadlock or race condition, but im not a programmer so this could be a completely wrong impression.
If youi can, can you try a test on a Windows client?as i said b4, we tried that and it seemed to work finely but it was to test the server and ensure it isnt a complete misconfiguration issue :)

A social revolution lacking basic features...seriously someone (at apple or via petition) please pay attention?:) How can a team miss such a basic thought? I acknowledge focus is on online revenue but please help...Please!
When I am coping a cd could you please tell me if a track or a cd is bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it is bad could you incorporate software to fix it! If not why not replace my bad copy with a good copy...I already bought the CD and it would be a great customer service. I have so much music that I can't listen too...my fault for lending to friends but this would be a huge feature improvement.

iTunes already incorporates an option for error correction that can try and fix some errors; Preferences -> Advanced -> Importing -> Use Error Correction When Reading Audio CDs. But there's a limited about any software can do to correct bad tracks, particularly if the disk is physically damaged. If a disk is badly damaged, the computer may not even be able to read it and in that case there's probably no software that could be used to fix the problem.

Delete Overlapping requests not paying attention to filters

Hi Experts,
I have followed all the steps suggested by Chetan in the next thread to cnfigured deletion of overlapping requests.
Process Chain Delete a previous request with overlapping values
In my case I need to delete requests when the data is from the same country and the same day, so I added these fields to the filters in the DTP (I didn't put any value or variable, just added the filters). However the process chain is deleting all requests coming for that DTP and is not paying attention to my filter. What could it be?

Good to hear that your Overlapping Request Deletion process i working fine now
1) The difference between More Comprehensive & Overlapping (What is the difference between same or more comprehensive and Overlapping?)
If overlapping is selected then:
existing requests are also deleted from the InfoCube if the selection criteria of the new request partially or wholly overlap the selection criteria of the request to be deleted.
If More Comprehensive is selected then:
requests are only deleted from the InfoCube if the selection conditions of the new request are the same as or more comprehensive than the selection conditions of the request to be deleted.

2) The index creation process should be kept after the overlapping request deletion because if it is placed after the overlapping request deletion then all the overlappings will be removed and then the create index process will take less time to create index for only required request else more time will be taken to create indexes.
In case if the create index step is included before the Overlapping Request deletion then the performance will decrease instead of increasing..
Instead you have option of including BIA indexes in case if the reporting performance needs to be improved.
Please change the status of question to answered in case if all answers are received...

If you don't have a rescue email address, or you don't know what it is (you won't be able to add/view it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

I would like to know which linux distribution may I use to have Oracle products running? Which linux distribution/version is used by the Oracle team? I don't want to get the problems I'm having now always when I try to upgrade the Oracle. This not happens with other comercial OS's like Solaris and WindowsNT.

I'm not sure I do follow this, what do you mean with motions? can you specify this?. I assume you used Photodownloader? BTW, Not paying attention is usually not the best way when importing images...

When you import files they are written to your disk and therefor no need for save them, the files are already at your disk or written to the location you choose as destination. You could select your computername in the navigation column and then use the list view and choose the column last modified but this is not always showing the correct result. You could also do a spotlight search (or use the free Easy Find you can download from Devon) and choose to search for the extension you have shot your files in (Raw, jpeg??) and then choose modification date to sort.
There is not a log (at least not to my knowledge) that keeps track of all of your movements unless you have installed such application (don't know if there is one but I think there will be a thrid party or script written by someone). You could try Console (in the utilities folder) that holds your logs and reports but this is usually for crash or forced quit situations.

Well, this would mean you would have first select the option to do so in Photodownloader. While I use PDL on a daily base I always thought this option should not even be present to choose and you certainly should not use it to delete originals.
Like Curt already stated you have to use the camera software for this with the card in the camera. Either delete but preferable format the card. Mind you, this should not be done before you are sure where your files are written to and after you have checked randomly to see if the previews have build correctly for the newly imported files. Then you should make a back up of those files and only then start thinking about erasing or formatting the card for new use.
If you have not done very strange things (like choosing the card as destination but if so they might still be there- check finder in column mode- or wrote them to an external disk - where they also still should be) the files should be somewhere at your system. Just do an extensive search and if the files are really important check for recovering software for your card.
And follow the steps described above for importing, sometimes we need to learn our lessons the hard way (and I have been there too...)

there are different approaches for that :
a) use run_report_object
b) use a frameset
c) use CGICMD.DAT cgi-keys
without knowing your environment it's hard to tell, which
approach is fitting your requirements.
