Oracle tnsping alerts

Hi All,
From one of my application to Oracle DB i am getting the tnsping alerts like below, the problem fixing automatically after some. But its hapenning frequently (day by day). What was the reason.
The result of tnsping "haridb.world" was:
TNS-12535: TNS:operation timed out
There may be network problems between this server and "haridb.world"

Take Backup of tnsnames.ora before :
ANd Modify it like below , Reload listener after change it
haridb1.world=

Oracle Security Alert #48

Does Oracle Security Alert #48 (bug 2642117) - Buffer Overflow in DIRECTORY parameter of Oracle9i Database Server effect Oracle 8i v 8.1.6.0 database?
I know the Oracle Alert states it effects Oracle 8i v 8.1.7, but I'm not sure if that would mean it effects older releases like v 8.1.6.0.

Oracle BAM alert creation

Hello,
I need to create an Oracle BAM alert as follows:
My DO has fields 'EventDate' of type DateTime and 'Error' as an int. I want to be able to send out an alert if I receive more than 100 records in the past 30 minutes with a error value 2.
I have tried doing this using the Event - 'When a data field in a data object meets specified condition',
-setup Row Filter as 'Error is equal to 2', 'EventDate' is within a time interval previous 30 MINUTES'
-setup Group Filter as 'COUNT(Error) is greater than or equal to 100'
but it does not work as expected. Can anyone please let me know what I am doing wrong and if there is another way to accomplish this?

plz...Need not to say like that, I am just trying to help you. I believe if you are new try to read and understand the documents and process. Please start with Oracle Alert User's Guide to create a alert and send notification.
I do not have any ready made scenario, I can refer you the documents to do the same,

Apply it. Very clean. Simple. No outage on Non-RAC. Biggest Impact is listener stop and start. Took about 3 minutes per server.
Tested today and had zero issues. ( Assumed you understood a CONNECT was part of the test ). Zero issues.

Oracle event alert not activated after fndload to new environment

Access MySQL from Oracle Tnsping problem.

I am trying to connect to MysqlDB from Oracle.
I have installed Oracle Gateway and ODBC diver on Linux server.
Oracle gateway was installed on same server with Oracle Database but in different home and it has a different listener.
please look at my configuration files which I have created and maintained to established connections to MySqlDB.
I think I did some mistake and seize up in it so I could not find a solution. I am trying to fix it as well but if somebody can help me it will be very nice.
Gateway version is 11.2.0.3.0 and it is on ORAHOME /oracle/11203/GTW and its listener port is 1522.
I am able to tnsping port 1522 (dg4odbc) from gateways home. Gateway configuration files are below.

Remember that the database from which you issued the "select * from kullanici@dg4odbc;" is, at that point, acting just like any other client trying to connect to a remote database.

Oracle Periodic Alert -Not sending Email Notifications

Hi,
I configured a periodic alert in my test and development instances. I had a SQL Query in Select Statement. When I verified the SQL Statement Oracle Alert successfully parses the SQL Statement . When I run it rows are getting selected. I defned Actions, Action Set, Action Set Details, Action Details. In the Actions Tab---> Action Details I listed out the persons to whom Mail needs to be send.
I checked the below ones...
Notification Mailer is Up
Periodic Alert Scheduler is Activated
But the notified persons are not recieving mails.
I has one more question
Is that if the Select Statement after parsing doesnt return any rows... Alert will not be triggered. if it returns 0 rows.
What else needs to be checked.. Let me know if you can sort it out...

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
What is your ATG patchset level? If you are on ATG RUP4 or above, then please confirm that Oracle Workflow is configured and working properly with no issues -- Check the Workflow log file for any errors.
Is the issue with all alerts or specific ones only? Can you reproduce the issue with all end-users for the same alert or with specific users only?

Our environment: 11.5.10.2 (9.2.0.7)running on HP-UX PARISC. We are using Jinitiator. We are not yet migrated to J2SE Plugin.
So, since the sercurity patch is for JRE, is that still required for our environment?

Oracle BAM Alerts ,Clock error

Hi
I've created alerts in oracle BAM for a report on an hourly basis. When I try changing the time range a browser error pops up with the following error text.
"Unable to set value of the property 'innerText': object is null or undefined"
and a url directs me to the bam suite script clock.htc

I guess -it- is not advisible to directly modify or alter any bam tables, it may land you into unrecoverable errors. Alternnate is to use the MakeBAMAdmin SQL utility on the OTN pages. Coert- can you try using http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/10.1.3/htdocs/1013_support.html

Hi. Im trying create a simple alert from BAM.
When I select some kind of conditions, the BAM send error screen that say:
The object does not support the property or method.
URL: server / activestudio / default.jsp? Alert Assembly = & State = oracle.bam.web.alerts.pages.AlertsEdit
There is some patch to 1.1.1.6 version to resolve some kind of error on javascript, but, even with it applied, the error remains. Na versão 1.1.1.7 the error at the same way.
This error is presented when I try to use a data object field or when I try create some message on email alerts.
Someone have any sugestion? Thanks!!!

Oracle user.alert after unistalling 10g

Hi,
I'm getting following error after unistalling Oracle 10 .
Platform : Sun solaris 2.8 Sparc
Error Message :
Dec 6 03:37:04 sunfire root: [ID 702911 user.alert] Waiting for filesystem containing /home/ora10g/product/10.1.0/db_1/bin/crsctl.

I am also getting the same error when I uninstall Oracle 10g on Solaris 9. This is the error
