Oracle .trc files getting deleted as soon as it generates.

Hi,
Its a strange situation. Oracle .trc files are getting deleted as soon as it genetates. There is no cron job nor any background job is running .
Any idea what this could be?
Thanks,
kam

photoshop file gets deleted in network while using on IMAC. I have tried on different server also. How to reslove the issue. Please help me ?

This is the boilerplate text often used in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please cease and desist immediately in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files. Working across a network is not supported.
    See:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406793.html
Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work.   It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

  • Deleting AD users vs Disabling. What is the difference? If an account is disabled, can it still be setup for mail forwarding to another user? If an account is deleted, what files get deleted?

Deleting AD users vs Disabling.  What is the difference?  If an account is disabled, can it still be setup for mail forwarding to another user? If an account is deleted, what files get deleted?  Thanks.

    Hi,
Disable Users: Nobody can log in to the mailbox, but the data is safe and it can receive email. Once it is enabled, it is back to normal.
Delete Users: when the user is deleted all the services are removed and all data is erased. The user is deleted from our Active Directory. If you create a user with the same Name and Emial address again, no data or services are recovered.
If you disable a user, the Active Directory object remains untouched together with the mailbox data and properties, but you will not be able to access any mailbox data.
If you delete a user, the Active Directory object is removed together with all data and properties of the user.
    Hope it helps.

    Hi,
Archive log files are the copies of redolog files. As redo log files are circularly overwritten, oracle generates archive log file of the corresponding redo logfiles being overwritten. So if you have a backup that dates back to 10 am in the morning and if your database creashed at 3 pm,you cannot use the redo log files alone as they have incomplete information. To completely recover the database upto 3 pm,you need archive log files generated between 10 am to 3 pm. In your case since you are missing one archive log file, you cannot perform complete recovery and hence would suffer data loss.

  • During an Inplace ASCII CPC when does e.g. "JCDS&" file get deleted?

As I understand the process, during an InPlace CPC the original files are renamed to "XXXX&" and the new ASCII XXXX file is created, and the original copied to it.
We are getting very short of disk space, and it would appear both JCDS and "JCDS&" have the full amount of records in them.
At what stage in the process will the original be deleted?
    Regards
    Steve

Thanks Volker I can see the files being cleared now. I know my disk usage is too high but this just my QA system, newly refreshed from live and we should be getting a new iseries in a few months to start our upgrade.
Part of the problem was due to some large files. On your course I noted that for the unload the recommendation for the number of processes should equal the number of processors.
But on the reload it should be 2 times number of processors. Our QA 270 has 2 so I started 4 processes which seemed to start with the 4 biggest files. 3 of these JCDS EQUI OBJK together account for 33% of our DB! 2 copies of each of these took us up to 90%+.
When I come to do Prod on our 4 way 830, if I start 8 processes I'm not sure if our system will cope with 2 copies of our 8 biggest files.
Is the 2 times number of processors the right way to go?
Is there a way of controlling the order of the file conversions so that it doesn't do all the big ones together?
    Regards
    Steve

  • Why did all my creative cloud project files get deleted ?

    Hi
It's been a pretty stressful day today to find that all my project files in my creative cloud folder got moved to the Trash in OS X automatically for no reason.
The weird thing was that I was left with all the subfolders I had created but with no files in them. I could see the files on Creative Cloud website so everything looked fine there. Frustratingly it seams impossible download folders of project files through the website. The CC App was reporting everything was up-to-date when it clearly wasn't.
So the lesson I learnt today is it's not safe to store your projects on the Creative Cloud. Luckily I managed to restore my project but It has taken me the best part of a day to get everything back up and running again.
When you're about to deliver the job you really don't want to switch on your computer to find that everything has gone.

I had the same problem, Adobe support no help at all so don't bother calling!  Had to pull everything from the trash and sort.  just what you need at 9am in the morning.  Adobe seems clueless to the problem

  • ITunes Library Keeps Disappearing (database files get deleted)

    Hello Everyone,
I have seen quite a few discussions regarding this problem, but the majority of the threads are resolved as the source of the error was a program loaded on a Sony Vaio computer.  However, I have an HP, so that doesn't apply to me.
My problem is: everytime I close iTunes and reopen it, I loose my library and playlists.  I've noticed that, when this happens, two files show-up in my recycle bin: iTunes Library Extras.itdb and iTunes Library Genius.itdb.  I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes (in addition to Quicktime and all of the other Apple programs).  I even ran Norton Utilities to check for registry problems and to clean-up uneeded files.  After doing all of this, I'm still having my problem.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance!
    Kevin

  • Files saved to network server sometimes get deleted

    Hello,
I work as a graphic designer using a year old iMac and latest version of Photoshop CS5.
Every now and then when saving a .psd file with photoshop it will get deleted instead. As an example, lets say I'm working on a brochure cover image. I open photoshop, open the file and work couple of hours on it. Then I save it. File gets deleted and is now no where to be found. Assuming no backups it's lost for good.
Naturally I use backups so this usually only means I've at most lost a days worth of work, but it's still highly irritating as you can get quite a bit done during one day.
What I've figured out so far:
    1) Only .psd files get deleted and only by photoshop. Illustrator, Premiere, Indesign are unaffected.
    2) Only files that are being saved on network (Buffalo) drive get deleted. Files saved on my macs hard disk have not gone lost so far.
    3) It seems that when I use "Save As" the files save correctly. Only when using "Save" do they get deleted.
    4) File getting deleted does not happen every time. But it does happen around 20-30% of the time when saving.
My current solution is to keep file browser open at all times. And every time I save file with Photoshop I check it's still there. If it's been deleted I will save it again with new name. As long as it's still open in Photoshop I can still save it.
Due to my work place, saving on the Buffalo is currently the only realistic solution. I realise this is not a Photoshop only problem. It has a lot to do with the network drive as well. How ever as Photoshop is the only program affected it seemed like a good idea to post it here as well. We've been in contact with Buffalo and they deny any knowledge about this problem, so we've hit a brickwall there anyway.
Has anyone else run into this or similar problem? Any suggestions besides taking more backups?

    2) Only files that are being saved on network (Buffalo) drive get deleted.
There you have it – Adobe’s position with regard to Photoshop is: »Adobe Systems does not provide support for networks and removable media.«
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406793.html
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/902/cpsid_90279.html
In case you are interested there are threads on this, for example
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4016082#4016082
One workaround might be to always do Save As’ as you claim those work; this could be automated with a Script for example.

  • Images and videos keep getting deleted automatical...

Recently upgraded to symbian anna for my nokia N8, but keep having problems with it. All new and old images got automatically deleted. everytime I take new photos, they automatically get deleted as soon as battery gets low or cell gets switched off or restarted for any reason. what to do? please please help!! whats the use of 12 megapixel camera if cant store photos..

Im afraid it sounds like your device memory has corrupted, have you deleted or removed any applications or software on the device that may have caused this to happen?
The only way to fix this problem would be to do a hard reset, However before doing this go into mass memory storage and recover whatever image, video and contact files you can (I am aware that you said most of them are .lnk now), and try to manually back up your media and information that you would like to keep, also create a full phone back up using Ovi Suite (this most likely wont be used, because if you where to use this back up after the hard reset the problem would probably persist however its nice to keep it just incase!).
After doing a hard reset, put your phone back into Mass memory storage and manually put back your media and other information.
If your phone still isnt fixed, restore your phone using the full back up made in Ovi Suite, created before the hard reset.
If your problem STILL persists, You will have to take your phone to a local Nokia Care Point and have a technical expert take a look at it.
    I really hope this helps!

  • FIX for USB issue where Files get corupted after I sucsessfully transfer to N

    MP3 Player: Muvo N200 GB
Firmware: Creative MuVo Micro N200 Audible Firmware Upgrade .2.0
    OS: Windows 2000 pro
    Machine: Ibm Thinkpad
    PROBLEM:
drag a folder of MP3's to the N200 in the Windows Explorer
2 wait for the zig zag line on the MP3 player to go straight.
3 Stop the Muvo mass stoarge device
4 Unplug the USB from the computer
5 Turn the Muvo N200 on
    6 Folder has vanished
7 Plug Muvo back into computer
8 Folder is there, all files are missing
Also .. if I plug the Muvo in right after I coppied the files (after step 4) the files exist. I dragged them to the desktop, compared them to the originals with a binary compare and they are identical ... just to see if the files got corrupted.
It seems that when I turn the Muvo on, the files get deleted.
I then installed the N200 Media Explorer with drivers .. didn't help at all.
I tried this on a different machine, exact same files, and it works fine. Same OS, no Media Explorer.
Also, this is my second N200. Sent the other one back after talking with support. Got an error at the end of a format. When I tried to install the .2 firmware, I could no longer turn the player on (didn't try recover). I'm sure this N200 will do the same on my thinkpad. I installed the firmware on the other machine (fool me once ....)
EDIT: <FONT color=#cc9900>Further testing showed that this is a problem with my thinkpad. The N200 works fine as a thumb dri've on every other machine I tried. I tried using another thumb dri've on my Thinkpad and it failed in the same way. Also tried a Muvo NX .. just for kicks and it didn't work either.
<FONT color=#cc9900>FUnny thing is that I can copy a file to the N200, read it back right away .. compare them and they are identical. ONce I remove the dri've, and plug it back in, the file is corrupted.

:smileyvery-happy:My N200 now works on my thinkpad, and I just have to report on what I did to fix it .. just in case this helps anyone however indirectly.
In the device manager, I changed all Host controllers from
Intel 8280CA/CAM USB Uni'veral Host Controller
    to
Strandard Uni'versal PCI to USB Host Controller
And now My USB not only works on my N200, it also fixed an issue with my USB scanner.
    HOW TO DO THIS:
Right Click on the My Computer ICON
    select MANAGE
select Device Manager in the left hand column
expand Uni'versal Serial Bus Controller in right hand column
Click on Intel 8280CA/CAM USB Uni'veral Host Controller and
Select Driver Tab and select Update Driver
Next ... select radio button that says Display a list of Known.....
    then select Standard...
do this for all Host controllers.
Good luck ... I've been through everything if you want to send me a message.

  • File adapter can I avoid that the file is  deleted when there's an error

    Hello,
my bpel process reads files with records and deletes them from the source directory after successful retrieval (using file polling) and then updates the status of that records in a database.
The problem is that it seems like the file is deleted as soon as it is picked up by the BPEL process so if there's an error with the database connection the file was already deleted from the source directory.
How can I avoid this? The file should only be deleted at the end of the bpel process.
    Regards,
    Lara Fernandes.

    Hi Lara Fernandes,
In this case of database being not available after you have picked up the file by polling, rather than allowing the process to fault and close, you can put the process into manual recovery and then the process can be retried from there, without any loss of data.
This would ensure that it would not matter that the file was deleted from the polling directory as soon as the process was initiated.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Shanmu.

I have lot of Disk space to accommodate to load TRC file, still not sure why we are getting the above message.
    Any help much appreciated.

    Hi Vijay313,
SQL Nexus provides you the option of breaking down the activity of each SPID into individual .trc files but they can only be directed to the %TEMP%\RML folder on your machine. So the error message might occur that you don’t have sufficient disk space to accommodate
all the session specific Trace files (containing a few hundred GBs data at times) in the TEMP directory.
To work around this issue, you can choose one of below options.
    1. Change the %TEMP% environment path on your machine to a different drive.
    2. Use the ReadTrace.exe (highly recommended) to generate the .trc files in the required path.
    3. Another option that cannot be controlled from SQL Nexus is the ability to add SPID, Hostname and Application filters while importing the data.

  • New Cost center Time-interval getting deleted automatically in Asset master

    Hi Friends,
While changing the cost center in the asset master data with a new time interval, the check-box 'Deletable' gets automatically ticked and the new interval gets deleted and the new cost center is updated in the old time interval. The check-box is greyed out and cannot be edited.
The right-most check-box in the 'More Intervals' button in the second tab of the asset master is the 'Deletable' check-box (Field Name: RA02S-XDEL).
Please help me to make the check-box editable or help me to remove the default tick in the check-box.
    Regards,
    Shilpi

    Hi Murlidhar,
Thanks a lot for the response.
If the check-box gets deselected when we press the 'Save' button, still the new interval is getting automatically deleted.
Earlier this was not happening, the new and the old interval was getting displayed separately. There are instances in the system, where both old and new interval is displayed.
Of late, we notice that the new interval is getting deleted as soon as we save it.
Please help to retain both the intervals.
    Regards,
    Shilpi
