Oracle Treasury "Retail term money"

Hi all,
We are implementing Oracle Treasury (version ebs 11.5.10.2)
We have some bank accounts with agreement with the bank to earn interest rate from the balance of each amount of money deposited at the bank account.
For example: we have USD1million at the bank, we have two agreements (400k deposit with interest 3.75%/year and 500k deposit with interest 3.80%/year)
There is no movement of principal (as the money still at the bank account). If we can not meet the agreement, we only earn normal interest rate (2%)
I found that there is a function in Retail term money "Interest only" where it can support the business requirement.
But as the note in metalink 264199.1 stated that the function has been removed.
Do you have any workround or other solution for this business mater.
Thanks in advanced
Gimasys

Hi Charan,
From a technical perspective, deal numbers come from a sequence generator and there is no way to manually select those numbers. There is no feature, and there are no enhancement requests, to add the ability to manually assign deal numbers.

  • Interest frequency of Additional Details in Oracle Treasury Transaction

    Dear all,
We are using Oracle Treasury. Our client request to input the time deposit with interest payment period so that the system can generate the interest payment per frequency. i.e. a 2 year time deposit with annual interest payment.
We found that there is a field "Interest Frequency" of additional details in Short Term Money's transaction form.
We try to update the value but it is not effect on calculation of interest rate.
    Please advise
    1. The use of Interest frequency of Additional Details.
If it is only reference field?
    2. how the system can generate interest payment per term period
    Regards,
    Queenie

    Hi,
Can you please elaborate more on your requirement.
In the FI document, you will not contain the transaction type value filled because not all documents arising from Treasury need to have the transaction type.  There may be derived documents also.  Same is the case for flow types.  For derived documents, you will not have any flow type.  But all these document line items will have update type in their item text as default.
For documents relating to transaction types, contract number will be filled, which is the treasury transaction number.  Using this you can pick the transaction type from the table VTBFHA.

    Ravi

  • Different between Short Term Money and Wholesale Term Money

    Dear all,
Please advise the use of Short Term Money and Wholesale Term money in Oracle Treasury.
Please advise the different between them in terms of business usage and functional features.

    Hi Prasad,
Referring to your message if it is not possible in Money Market, is it possible in Loans Management.  The requirement is exactly same.  Here the requirement is mainly to meet the reporting requirements.
Out of the total long term loan, the portion which is filling due within a period of one year need to be identified as current liability which is payable within one year and it is not about reclassification or something of that nature.  This is the reason I was trying to ask you the postings, how it can happen?
The initial posting has gone to Long term liability GL account based on the account determination.  Out of the total loan borrowed, the portion of installments which are becoming due within one year need to be shown as current liabililty/current maturity.  Can you please post if this can be handled with standard functionality.
thanks in advance for the update.

  • Highlite oracle text search terms

I have a report that I set up using the instructions for Oracle Text Application in APEX. It works very well however I have the actual document as a link and I would like the search terms highlighted in the actual document. Is there a way to do that in APEX?
    I use this Region Source:
    select score(1) relevance, filename, dbms_lob.getlength("DOCUMENT") Document, code_id
    from documents
    where contains (document, :P10_SEARCH, 1) > 0
    order by 1 desc
I read something about using ctx_doc.snippet to highlight but can get that to work.
Any suggestions or can APEX highlight terms when the actual document is used?

    '8265490,
Take a look at the ctx_doc.markup procedure. I think it will do what you want.

  • Oracle equivalent relation terms for History Notes and Abbreviation

    Hi,
We are trying to migrate from Basis 9 database to Oracle 10g. The biggest challenge isto build a oracle thesaurus similar to the one in Basis.
In Basis we have relations History Notes(HN) and Abbreviation(AB). I am not able to find equivalent relation in Oracle. Recently I got the ANSI Z39.19 Guidelines document from one of the forum contributor, which mentions about the relations History Notes and Abbreviation. I am not able to load the relation HN. ctxload is stopping at this term with the error DRG-11706: invalid relation HN.
Does anyone know if there is any equivalent relation in Oracle Thesaurus for HN and AB?
    Thanks

Thanks so much for the answers.
Auto Lexer is a indexing element, which I could use for a column. I need abbreviations stored in my system schema so that multiple database instances could access these thesaurus terms. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I thought of the same solution for HN Brian. I am thinking of putting a tag HN to identify them later for display. Abbreviations are more specific and SYN could be general to a term. If I substitute AB with SYN, I am afraid I will loose the data collected by users over the years. I am thinking of putting them in the dr$ths_fphrase table as AB:. The constraint I have here is, thesaurus management tool that comes with Oracle 10g considers all the terms in this table, as terms in different thesaurus. I have changed the code to handle it but I am not sure if I am deviating from the standard practice.
Your feedback on this is much appreciated.
    Thanks again

  • Need help about Oracle Application Server Terms

Is Oracle Application Server called Weblogic Server?
What is the difference between it and the HTML_DB or Application Express? are they the same? Can all run JSP? and what other supported languages?
I am just little bit confused about those terms(Middleware, Application Server, HTTP Server, HTML_DB, Application Express, Oracle Fusion)
Would appreciate if someone can explain them briefly with examples for getting more clear.
    Thanks.

The name of this forum is "Installation." What does your question have to do with installation?
Information on Oracle's strategy for replacing the 10g App Server code line with the BEA WebLogic code can be found by going to http://otn.oracle.com and searching for information on Middleware Strategy.
This forum is not an appropriate place to answer your other questions either: Use google.

    Hi.
My firm have allowed me to have access to Treasury, in a test environment.
No one uses it here, but I want to learn how to. What can I do? I see know "tutorials" out there ; I would love to understand this application. I have read the User Guide but makes little sense at this point.

Example of problem: when I try to enter a name for a company, I get the INVALID VALUE FOR FIELD error message.

    Dave,
The above answer is not accurate. SQL Developer is a client tool that helps you work with the Oracle Database. As you are very new to this I recommend you follow the Getting Started tutorial. http://www.oracle.com/technology/getting-started/sqldev.html
That explains how to install an XE Database and links to viewlets (demos ) on how to create connections using SQL Developer. I recommend you start there and then do the 2 tutorials on the bottom of this page:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/files/obe.html
There are other exercises on that page to take you further.

  • Oracle Retail V13 - RIB Installation

    Hi,
We are in the process of installing Oracle V13 - Retail Integration Bus. Installation guide mentions the folloiwing in Appendix D - Creating an OC4J RIB Admin Role:
    orion-ejb-jar.xml
To allow the J2EE role to be used inside the application, edit the orion-ejb-jar.xml file
    present under <oc4j-instance-home>/application-deployments/admin_ejb directory.
    e.g. /home/wsadmin/product/10.1.3.3/OracleAS_
    6/j2ee/rib-rms-oc4j-instance/>/application-deployment/ admin_ejb
This completes the creation and mapping of the users and roles. Restart the oc4j
    instance after these changes.
What exactly we are supposed to do in the orion-ejb-jar.xml?
Can anyone let me know with exact details and format in which the orion-ejb-jar.xml can be modified?
    Thanks,

  • Treasury Management Curriculum Location

On March 29 I sent one of my customers the following information which I cut and pasted from the UA web site. Now I can't find it.
+In the TMP module the students use an ERP system (in this case SAP) to work in the field of Treasury Management. In this module the ERP system used, SAP, is not a goal in itself, but provides a means of experiencing the many aspects of treasury management. The emphasis lies on anything to do with the management of money flows. Tendering, winning orders, purchasing, invoicing, payments and receipts, and reacting to liquidity shortages / surpluses u2013all in different currencies u2013 generate the problems that every treasurer has to deal with.++ In this module, students are appointed as assistant-treasurer in a u201Cgoing concernu201D, DDS Management Consultancy, which uses SAP as administration and information system. The system is already loaded with data such as client and supplier data, accounts receivable and debts, and ledger and bank accounts.
DDS carries out consultancy and training assignments for its clients, and if necessary hires external consultants. DDS acquires its assignments in u201CEurolandu201D and beyond and consultants are employed in various countries.
A great variety of problems are raised with a limited number of assignments. Students must prepare and maintain a rolling liquidity plan, hedge foreign exchange positions, borrow or invest short term, prepare a long-term loan and manage receivables and payables. For this, use is made of what the market has to offer in terms of financial instruments and derivatives: deposits, loans, FRAs, futures, options, swaps, spot and forward transactions, etc.
Use is made of real market rates and prices that can be found in newspapers, on the internet, or possibly by telephoning a bank.
The management of money flows is a hot item for many companies. Good treasury management saves money. Great savings in management and bank costs can be achieved by centralising money flows - millions of euros a year for large multinationals.
Working for some months with DDS as an assistant-treasurer provides a student with some experience in this field at zero cost now, but with a high return in the future.
It is under the Treasury Managemenrt Project (hence the TMP).

  • Can I attend Oracle 10g DBA course & attempt DBA Certification for 11g

    Hi,
I am already OCP-PLSQL and want to attempt OCP-DBA stream. I enquired at various oracle education centers and came to know that all are conducting courses for Oracle-10g.
So can I attend Oracle 10g DBA course (Mandatory Course) and attempt DBA Certification for 11g. (1ZO-052 and 1ZO-053)

    Thanks,
Vikrant PatilYou can do these thing, and Oracle will take your money for it, but you will receive neither 11g DBA OCP certication nor 10g DBA OCP Certification at the end of it. So it isnt what you would ant to do.
Oracle Unviersity would provide the 11g DBA training courses ... No problem.
however I suspect what you term oracle education centers are probaby institutes offering WDP Courses at 10g DBA (on the cheap). See http://workforce.oracle.com
If you do 10g training then that will only be valid for 10g DBA OCP Certification .. so you would need to take 1z0-042 and 1z0-043 (I guess you already have an SQL Exam pass). Then 1z0-050 can upgrade it to 11g DBA OCP.
(Note that it does not affect you, but the converse is typically true .... version X+1 training will often be acceptable for a version X certification.)
