Oracle Unified Business Process Management Implementation Specialist query

Hi ,
I would like to know when will this exam go-live ?
On oracle website , it is mentioned that the exam will go live 10 weeks after beta exams for the same end.
Beta exams for Oracle UBPM 11g implementation specialist ended on may 7th , as per that Production exam is supposed to go live by July 16th .
I want to know whether , the given exam will go-live by July 16th ? and if not then by what approximate date ?

In practice this will come live 10 to 13 weeks after the beta ( I think 13 or just over is more common ...) ... could be a little later due to it being the holiday season for most people.

• 1Z0-560 Unified Business Process Management Suite Implementation Specialist

Hi
I am a BPM 11g/10gr3 developer based in Mumbai,India and wanted to know the pattern of the exam so that I could prepare accordingly.
Is the exam 1Z0-560 a multiple choice question exam similar to the BPM Boot camp assesment exam?
Regards,
Ritu Singh

Ritu,
Since you have created your web account at pearsonvue.com/oracle, you can go ahead and schedule and pay for your exam directly on that website by selecting Schedule a Test. It is not necessary to first purchase a voucher. If you would like to purchase a voucher, you can do so on the Oracle University website at http://bit.ly/ukd8x6.

• Regarding Oracle Business Process Manager and WS-Security

Hi All,
Actually I like to invoke couple of secure services running on seperate
server runnnig JWSDP.These services are using WS-security,so I am just
wondering if it possible to call these webservices through Oracle
Business Process Manager.
As our secure services are using JWSDP so thats the reason we prefer to
use the BPEL engine which deployed on top of JWSDP so that We dont
have to confront with compatable issues among different toolkits.
So I am just wondering do you think that Oracle business process manager
ws-secuirity implementation can use the JWSDP implementation i.e
xws-security implementation,in otherwords is it possible to use JWSDP
with Oracle business process manager for using the ws-security?Thanks.
I would appreciate your help.

I would appreciate your help.

The other thing I am wondering if someone knows about the documentation on how to integrate oracle business process manager and web-services manager.
Actually I like to use certificated based WS-Security so for this reason I need to know how it can be integrated into oracle business process manager using web-services manager. Thanks for any help.

• Business process manager using Apex

Has anyone implemented a declarative, generic business process/workflow engine similar to Oracle's BPEL Process Manager using Apex? There are some threads on this forum talking about BPEL's predecessor Oracle Workflow, an open source engine called PL/Flow and the like but they are more than 4 years old. I also see some survey/questionnaire type applications but they don't have process flow, routing, approvals, notifications and all that stuff. Other vendors have similar end-to-end solutions.
Comments? Thanks

Hi there,
I've been trying to find more information about the same subject but it does not seems to be a very popular issue, I'm shocked!
I've learned that 10g came with a workflow server buy it's not longer offered in 11g. The reason of course is to sell oracle BPMN/BPEL; unfortunately these tools are way out of my budget, they are good tools but extremely costly.
Therefore, i've done some research about open source alternative that i could merge with apex applications to include routing, approvals via email, notifications, etc. And luckly there are a lot, too many to list, take a look at the link below

• Business process bpmn implementation with services in uddi

Dear everyone,
could anyone provide me the link to the tutorial of implemenation bpmn with service in uddi?
I don't know how can i call a service, and how i implement a service in bpmn process with jdeveloper.
many thanks in advance,
sophea

Hi Sophea,
You can use service activity to invoke the service.
For exposing the BPM process as service, you can use message start activities (Receive) and service activity (Reply) to implement synchronous pattern.
Please refer Oracle® Fusion Middleware Modeling and Implementation Guide for Oracle Business Process Management 11g Release 1…

• Business Process Management Tool Evaluation ARIS or Systems Architect?

Hi Group
I have joined this community yesterday, so I am pretty much new here.
I work as a Business Process Analyst for a semi govt company. I have been tasked for evaluating a tool for business process management.
Current scenario is as under:
1) We are using Microsoft visio as a mapping software
2) BPMN standards for process modelling
3) The design phase of our new ERP software will be starting soon.
4) My company has got vision to become BPM company over the years, we are at very early stage of it.
The questions I have are,
1) Is it worth getting ARIS or System Architect at this stage only for modelling. If now what are the justifications?
2) Based on your experience what are the steps involved in evaluating such tools
3) How hard is it to import those visio drawings into ARIS or System Architect
Your response is much appreciated
Thanks
Hemal

Hi,
My view (I work as an Enterprise Architect for a very large Resources Company).
Visio is a drawing tool. It produces nice diagrams and drawings which have no real connection with the process objects, or system objects they represent. typically an organisation ends up with 1,000's of these e diagrams which end up all having to be maintained (and usually are not) so quickly end up being largely out of date and useless.
Tools like ARIS and other BPM tools, are purpose built Modelling tools. The Process Models built, and each and every object they are composed of are stored in a single, searchable and reportable object oriented database. Each object (if the tool is implemented correctly) has exactly 1 original keyed by a Globally unique Identifier. Other occurrences or copies of that object can be created that are used in multiple places, in multiple processes. Hence maintenance should be easier. If a change is required to the object, change it in one place only, and its automatically also updated in all the other object copies or occurrences. try that with Visio.
Further, if the models are created using the required and correct notation (for example BPMN or BPEL, then they may be exported into or integrated into application or execution layers that support these notations. Usually this is a part automatic, and part manual process. Hence the BPM models are living representations (not 100% but at least some %) of the running code or processes in your systems.
Eventually the nirvana will be when this model to execution paradigm is 100% automated, for 100% of business processes, across any platform or system architecture required. A good dream eh!
The proviso is that all this is designed, built and governed correctly. Like most things, the idea can be good, but the execution bad.
There are several examples of BPM Modelling tools that are available as free downloads. Savvion, Tibco and Intallio are 3 that come to mind that do this. Perhaps try one or more?
ARIS has the advantage that it is more integrated with SAP than any of the others.
The other think that has influenced us toward ARIS is that SAP now use it internally (so I am told) to define and govern the services that end up in their products. the Process is called PIC (Process Integration Content).
There is a separate thread on it Do SAP Plan to Productise the PIC Internal Process for Customers & ISV's?.
Hope this helps.

• Sharepoint Out of the Box as Business Process Management (BPM) Tool

How Sharepoint out of the box can be used as Business Process Management tool? Like we have K2.

Hi Bharat,
Thanks for posting your query,
All versions of SharePoint support workflows based on windows workflow foundation. SharePoint Server includes some predefined advanced workflows such as Approval, Collect feedback, Collect signatures. WSS 3.0 and SharePoint foundation contains simple "3
steps workflow".
But all versions support custom workflows and custom worflow steps created in SharePoint Designer or Visual Studio.
You can customize forms with SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio or InfoPath.
Also, check out below mentioned URLs to know more on this functionality in SharePoint 2013

I am an Executive Recruiter looking for an ERP Business Process Manager that has full-life cycle SAP HR experience. I have a client in the Central Pennsylvania area that is looking for a full-time employee. I was hoping to use this forum for referrals or potential interest. This position is permanent, but my client is open to sponsoring or someone with a consultant background. Please let me know if anyone would like additional information. I look forward to hearing back from anyone that is interested in learning more. Take care.

• Current Testing Status due for Business Process Management Beta Program

Hello all,
Current testing status for your Oracle Business Process Management Beta Program projects was due March 26th. I received a few reports already (many thanks to those who posted their status!). For those who could not submit the status earlier, please log on to http://otnbeta.oracle.com/bpm1209/index.htm using your account id/pwd and click the link "Submit Status" on the page.
Your testing status would offer us a valuable insight into the blocking issues faced by Beta sites and helps us respond to your needs in a timely manner.
Thanks a lot!
Medha Nanal
(Oracle Technology Beta Programs Office).

Thanks. Yes - the existing Oracle BPM forum has been around for a while and is very active.
Just as you've done on this post, something I've seen on other forums that proved very helpful is for a forum administrator to post an announcement on the forum. In this announcement they asked people posting threads to include their version of the software with their question.
Please consider taking this approach with the existing Oracle BPM forum and have the administrator of the exsting Oracle BPM forum post this announcement. That way we will know immediately when new threads appear that it is an Oracle BPM 11g question. This will help lessen the confusion and continue to make the forum useful for all Oracle BPM customers.
Thanks again,
