    Hi Arpit
Thanks for your interest and sorry to hear about your payment problems. Unfortunately Oracle has different payment policies for different countries, and online payment is not available everywhere.
Oracle University has scheduled the two courses to run again in the same timeslot from 7-11 June 2011. If there is sufficient demand, then I can request that they schedule the courses to run again sooner than that.
How many people is Evosys looking to send, and where are they based?

  • Oracle University Instructor led Training  Feedback Form

Can anybody forward me the Oracle University Instructor led training feedback form's soft copy ?????
    PLS ?????????

As with other things, you get out of certification only what you put into it. Those without honor will get the certificate by any means they can, thinking that it is the ticket to a high paying job. I would hope that employers by now have an interview process that will target these people for the frauds that they are. If they do make it past the interview process, well, that is what the probationary period is for. Most companies that I have been involved with have had a hiring policy that says they can let you go in the first ninety days for any reason or for no reason. And lying about your experience is grounds for termination any time. Their phony certifications won't save them if they are unable to do the job.
It costs a lot of money for a company to hire someone and a credit report, background check, verification of past work history and reference check are all part of the cost of that hiring. If a security clearance is required as a condition of employment, it can cost tens of thousands of dollars to complete. Companies are willing to spend the time and money to accomplish these things to eliminate the liars and frauds. I would not hesitate to report any fraudulent activity that involved the certification process. To not do so cheapens it. Oracle has taken a step in the right direction by instituting the ILT requirement which has probably weeded out a few pretenders. Maybe more steps will be forthcoming.

  • Can i use "Oracle Database 12c: Performance Management and Tuning " training for getting certification on "Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning 1Z0-054"

i have taken "Oracle Database 12c: Performance Management and Tuning new" training from oracle university. Now i would like to get certified on "Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning 1Z0-054" exam. Is it possible ?

I essentially endorse and refer you to Matthews' and John's post above.
I would differ with slightly with Matthew because my guess is you would often be able to use like for like 12c training for an 11g certification ( I believe there are precedents).  BEFORE ANYONE ASKS THE OTHER WAY DOESN'T HAPPEN.
.... but totally concur with Matthew you would ill advised to procede on that basis without one of:
    - This being advertised as possible on the website : e.g. https://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=654&get_params=p_id:169 ... option 2 show courses.
    - Confirmation from Brandye
    - Confirmation from an Oracle Certification Support Web Ticket ( http://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/OU_SUPPORT_OCP.home?p_source=OCP )
... The more common (and in my opinion usually better) way would be get your 11g DBA OCP ( or higher first) and then take the 1z0-054.  I am almost certain they will accept your 12c course for the 11g DBA OCP.
If you are choosing the route of not being a 11g (or 12c ) DBA OCP first but are on option 2 and relying on the course for certification then the issue is more in the balance and you are even more strongly advised to get confirmation before proceding (remember if the rules need to be changed for you only then any profit out of the exam is lost).
In general my understanding is Oracle would prefer to encourage people to train on the latest version of product that is available for training  and will prefer to avoid restrictions which would cause you to train at a lower version.  ( This is simply my guess at Oracle University Policy ... personal opinion only).
Having said all I have said I'd encourage you to go with the advice of the earlier two posts.

  • Can no longer print wirelessly - False Message - "Network Host is Busy"

Fairly new to Macbook, but when I initially set up my printer wirelessly it worked fine. After recent 'updates' to the OS and HP drivers, I'm stuck with the 'network host is busy' problem that I seen in many other threads. There have been NO changes to my hardware - same router, same printer. Print jobs sit in queue and host is always 'busy' but it's not, really. There doesn't seem to be a good and actual "solution" for the issue yet. Here's the details:
    Macbook Pro, 13"
    Mac OS X 10.6.4
HP OfficeJet J6400 (drivers - 3.0.4 - just updated with the latest update from Apple)
Printer is running ONLY wirelessly, it is not hooked to a PC. It has an IP assigned by my router.
I have two PC's that print to it just fine, wirelessly.
I removed the printer from the Macbook, and re-installed it sort of manually using IPP as the protocol. The Macbook 'sees' the printer, and I can access the printer utilities to view ink levels, see the hardware/firmware information, etc.
I can also print a test page wirelessly from the Macbook, because as I'm told, printing a test page bypasses the drivers; and if you can print a test page but can't print normally, it would seem there's a driver issue, no?
One thing I don't know how to figure out is the 'queue name' so I leave it blank for 'default'. This is the only wireless printer and there are no other shared printers.
So I'm pretty well stuck, and have to move files or send links to my PC so I can print stuff (flawlessly) from there since the Macbook won't print at all - I always receive the 'network host is busy' message. The frustrating thing is, when I first installed it months ago, installation went very smoothly, and everything worked perfectly - until recently.
I know it's not just me, but any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Macbook Pro 13" Mac OS X (10.6.4) HP OfficeJet J6480 with latest drivers from Apple

Checking the HP web site I could not find a manual for the J6400 but there was a J6410 and its User Guide states the following...
    1. Click the HP Device Manager icon on the Dock or in the Hewlett Packard folder in the Applications folder.
    2. From the Information and Settings list, select Network Printer Setup Utility.
I also found the following HP wireless support site that suggests the print queue creation is performed by the HP software. No mention of how to configure the Mac queue manually.

I think you should add the printer using the default browser (Bonjour), or, More Printers > HP IP.

I have just set up my new All-in0one printer HP 6500710n-z and each time i print WIRELESSLY it does not print rather I get an error message saying" NETWORK HOST IS BUSY, RETRYING......" I am lost and need to print urgently what to do?

  • Network host is busy; will retry in 10 seconds..

tearing my hair out... I am operating an Imac 10.5.8 leopard and I have the following problem. Firstly I have 3 printers connected in my small business. 1 is an HP photosmart via USB straight into the Imac (no problems). The other 2 - an EFI Fiery which in turn operates a Olivetti MF450 and a Xerox Work Centre 7435 both connect to my router. I get the following message in the print queue when trying to print to the Fiery: Network 192.168.1.121 host is busy; will retry in 10 seconds.. and from the Xerox the printer queue pauses each time I push print. I have spent all day trying to sort this, with every combination in LPD and IPP and still no success. I am still fairly new to Macs. I have a PC also networked to these printers and they print from the PC no problem.

Sure I can do this but as I have 5 other pc's connected via the network to our HP printer and they all work fine so it seems like a Mac issue. Also since I have seen a number of issues on this site as well as on others regarding this particular msg and problem.
I can print with my USB cord, I can ping my router, my mac can see the printer (as it tells me what printer it is) so I rather think its a mac related issue. I will try powering down my router and try again.
