Hi Friends,
Where can we find more information for Oracle Video Server and application?
Does Oracle Video Server support life video stream to display from IP video/Canera?
We test OMNicast video server. I found MS SQL server support this video server.
however, my application is oracle project. We like to bind oracle mapview with video application. Note. Not files based video application. It is live picture stream from IP video/camera.

Invalid Oracle HTTP Server information

I am having problems with the Design Repository Report in Warehouse Builder Browser. When I try to logon I receive the message: Invalid Oracle HTTP Server information. This is the same database server that the client uses to logon to the repository. I can logon to the HTTP Server using a browser with the same host and port information. I set up the DAD with Mod plsql Configuration Menu using this information. What do I need to change?

OWB Repository 9.0.3.0.1

Did you already do this: Project menu -> Preferences -> Browser tab, set the HTTP Server port for the first option.
It's hard to make a mistake in setting the DAD, but just in case take a look at the instructions in the Hands-on Demo document, Prerequisites section, step 8. The Hands-on Demo is linked from Self-Service Education http://otn.oracle.com/products/warehouse/selfserv_edu/installation.html

Oracle application server 10g and apex

Hi allm
Can someone show me a guide on how to use Oracle Application Server 10g with APEX. I'm currently using Oracle HTTP Server but decided to use OAS instead so that I can use the Report Server and the Oracle BI Publisher for the reports.
I'm currently using this guide (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/howto_useoas10g.html) but I can't seem to find the marvel.conf and the oracle_apache.conf.
Also, is it really necessary to use OAS instead of Oracle HTTP Server if I want to use Oracle BI Publisher?

Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately I still get the same problem. Somehow I just can't find the marvel.conf anywhere in my machine. I setup my APEX not by using the companion cd but by downloading the apex_3.1.2 then running the apexins.sql. Then install the Oracle HTTP Server only and configured the dads.conf located in the ORACLE_HTTP_SERVER_HOME/Apache/Apache/mod_plsql/conf. It works perfectly with this.
I then installed Oracle Application Server 10g. I'm trying to figure out how to use this instead of the Oracle HTTP Server.

Oracle Application server Forms and Report services 10.1.2.0.2 on Windows 2

I am installing the Oracle Application server Forms and Report services 10.1.2.0.2 on Windows 2003 R2, but the problem is that setup is not running on this Windows 2003 R2 version.
Any idea about this why it is not running.

I told you where to find the last update, I checked that version yesterday, the last update is 10.1.2.3, my misstake was to put a 0 before the 3.
You can go to Patches & update>Quick Links to: Latest Patchsets, Mini Packs and Maintenance Packs>Oracle Fussion Middle Ware> Look for you OS versión and CPU> No clic just put pointer over the links and you will see the last one.
And finaly could look for the CPU of Jul and Apr that as requirement they ask for version 10.1.2.3 (as I say I checked yesterday)

Installed Oracle Application Server 10g and Dev. Suite 10g to self practice

Hello,
I have Installed Oracle Application Server 10g and Developer Suite 10g on Windows XP 32.bit to practice Developer suite specially Forms and reports. Server has created the database by default.
My questions are:
1. Can i use default database for practice?
2. Which Configuration Assistants mainly i need to configure in this regard?
3. Do i need to install anything else?
I am newbie to Oracle trying to self learning.

Oracle VM Server for SPARC SANdoes not support it? a server pool does not support the use of san quorum，or storage Repository does not support of ocfs2 file system format？

Yes, I did mean the control domain, but I also worried that NFS mount on NetApp may not work for LDOMs, as I read somewhere that Solaris does not support containers on NFS. I am a bit puzzled over here, as this means we may have to go for iSCSI route for all the VMs. iSCSI is untested in our Solaris environment, although heavily used on other things on NetApps. We also don't have any options but to use NetApps, as NetApps are being used in our two datacentres and it would be ideal for DR scenario.

Is SQL Server 2008 db supported for use with weblogic server 10.3.3
we use connection pools and XA and weblogic bundled drivers
we are planning an upgrade from 9.2mp3 to 10.3.3 weblogic server

seems to indicate that only sqlserver 2005 is supported
Is there a more current version of the suported configurations that I am missing ?

contact support for official policy. Technically, the drivers do support the DBMS version.
If you use any higher API than JDBC, there might be a question as to whether a
particulare API was certified with the latter DBMS version, but unless the DBMS
changed so it behaved differently than the previous for the same activity, then
there should be no problem....

Install Oracle Application server 10g and Oracle database 10g on same box

Hi Experts!
i need to install Oracle database and oracle application server on the same machine(windows xp).
when i install both of them and reboot the machine either oracle database or oracle application server fails...
i suspect that the problem might be due to two - ORACLE_HOME
let me know how i can resolve this issue.
Note: Oracle DB and OAS OPMN process run as a windows service.
after restart opmn fails

- things like ORACLE_HOME are also set in the system
environment settings. This may lead to conflicts;It does, therefore you should set them with the service (I figured the installer of Oracle would actually do that for you, but I hardly ever work with Windows)
- the database and AS have different versions of the
RSFs. The most recent AS version is using 10.1.0.5
RSFs, where the database uses 10.2.x. This leads to
conflicts.
- Port conflicts are common in the ONS area, however
this should not prevent startup and should not be
very likely at this point since all products use the
same inventory and it should have been checked for
ports that are in use.ons port conflics shouldn't precent startup, but other port conflicts can.

Oracle application server 10g and fusion middleware 11

I am confused about architecture of application server 10g and oracle fusion middleware.
I have installed oracle application server 10g that includes infrastructure tier ( database repository,SSO,OID,DAS,OCA) and mid tier (OC4j,forms,reports,discover,portal,wireless). Here I have totally understood the architecture of 10g application server and Installation method and sequence.
But I could not understand oracle fusion middle ware architecture and components compared to 10g application server.
Now I want to install the oracle fusion middle ware same as 10g application server keep in mind.
can anybody give me high level view of oracle fusion middle ware and it's component? and also difference between 10g app server and fusion.
how can I achieve same thing that i implemented in 10g app server with fusion?
If somebody have architecture diagram of both 10g app server and fusion that will also help me.

I'm working on a simple http server and was wondering how I could obtain the Server information?
Example Server informations are:

Please clarify: are you working on an HTTP server or an HTTP client? If the former, are you wanting to know what your server should output in response to a request? If the latter, are you wanting to know how to parse the response?

Installing Oracle Entitlements Server (Derby) and oracle.security.apm.derby.ear not found

Weblogic 10.3.5
OES 11.1.1.5
Redhat 5.5

I'm try to setup an evaluation domain for OES so I followed the setup for using the derby database. I have the derby schema setup correctly and I have create the OES domain using the Oracle Entitlesments Server Derby Template - 11.1.1.0. This goes through fine, but when I start the server I am getting the below error. The oracle.security.apm.derby.ear file is not in that location nor is it anywhere in the oracle home dir. So I'm not sure whats wrong, doing a search for the oracle.security.apm.derby.ear file on google returns nothing.

I too come accross this issue. But, I didn't installed any patch on top of OES.
I just rebuild the OES schema in database and it started perfectly. Hope it helps.
B/W did you tried to configure external user store to OES like LDAP??
