Oracle VM Server unable to communicate with pool master

I have the following situation and I hope that someone has an idea/solution
Background :
Oracle VM version : 3.1
2 - Server pool
Repository : NFS
Problem :
This is the what I found out so far :
I try to start a guest which is hosted on the same on the same server , which serves as the pool master.
I don't see any progress in the OVM manager, i.e. the guest is in "Starting" status
On the ovs-agent.log file of the OVM server I see the following message keep repeating itself :
"[<Time stamp> 24944] ERROR (notification :64): Unable to send notification(111,'Connection refused')
So far I used one or both of the following work-around:
1.Rediscover the OVM server
2.Restart the ovs agent
Both work-around are feasible and successful, but I'm looking for a permanent solution.
I checked fire-wall on the OVM server and OVM master and they seem to be either down or wide-open
Any other ideas?

The error messages and the server staying in starting mode in the manager are both things I've seen when a server got a new UUID.
When the agent starts, the uuid get's determined. It is possible that on-boot and on manual restart the agent gives your server a different uuid.
Try to set the uuid fixed and see if it still occurs.

Hi,
I have followed the steps for running oracle reports server 6i..i am using win2k3 and IIS6.0
i have checked tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora and everything looks good..
when i try

i get a page called User Database Authentication and asks for username,password and database..instead of the help page that should be displayed..
when i enter those values nothing happens for the first time and the same page is displayed again..when i enter it again i am getting this error

I just found out that if i give
http://localhost/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe?key1
where key1 is a key mapping file that contains the report name,username and pwd for the database and desformat...etc..
the report pulls out fine with the correct data..
i am stunned...
while none of the other commands like
http://.../rwcgi60.exe
or
http://..../showenv?server=repserver
or any other usual command doesnt work...
anybody faced this before??

Error: Unable to communicate with the Reports Server

The configuration I am working with is:
* Oracle 8.1.6 DB on a Unix machine
* Oracle Reports 6i on an NT machine
* Microsoft IIS web server
I have successfully tested my reports during the development phase of my project. Unfortunately, now that it is considered production and is available to upwards of 30 people, I am getting the following error message after verifying the server is up and after a numerous reports have been served:
Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot be served at this time.
Oracle Reports Server CGI - Unable to communicate with the Reports Server.
After receiving this message I noticed that the Report Server service is down and the log only indicates that it "shut down immediately". (no ORA messages) I tried restarting the service, but after serving one report, it would shut down again with the same message.
I am wondering if it is a problem related to the cache. I used the default of 50M in the config file, but when the cache directory reaches 50M, the problem seems to appear. I then deleted approx. 30M of files from the cache directory and the Report Server service appeared stable. I changed the cache limit to 1M to see if there was a problem with the cache being so big. All appeared well for the first few hours of operation but then the Report Server service shut down again and upon restart crashed within a minute or two (usually as someone tests a report, it crashes again).
Do I have a configuration problem? Has anyone seen this problem? Thanks in advance.

HT1430 I am getting a message asking me to enter my Facebook password in the Settings. However, when I enter it, I get the message "unable to communicate with server." It's driving me crazy!

I can't connect with the Facebook server. When I tried to connect with Facebook when playing Candy Crush, I got the message to "enter password for "" in Settings. When I go to Settings, it says "There was a problem accessing your account. Please reenter the password for [my name]." Then, when I type in my password, I get the message "unable to communicate with server."
I tried deleting my Facebook account and then reinstalling it, but the problem continues. Any ideas?

I had the same problem a couple of weeks back.
What I did was that I restarted that Ipad of mine and voila!
Problem solved!

"Unable to communicate with server error" when pasting data in in list via edit

Hi Guys, I imported data into a SharePoint site and it seems that it made the fields in to multiline, so I had to edit each colum and make it single, but when I did that it seems that the html font code also detached and views in the record as you can see.
So I went into edit list so I can copy and past the same data back in without having the font color html code in, but once I did that I am getting a error which isn't letting me save
Does anyone know how to pass this error or another way to remove all these font codes in my fields names?

For your issue, try to do IIS Reset, compare the results.
You can use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
You can also use Internet Explorer 8,9,10 to check whether it works.
Also, please check the SharePoint ULS log located at : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS to get a detailed error description.

Outboung Campaing: Error Unable to communicate with Enterprise Server. outbound Option not available

Hi everyone,
I'm running UCCX 8.01 + CUCM 7.1+ Cisco 7942 just for learning purpose. After creating the Outbound Campaign and imported the Contact List the call is received by the agent (call is state is received as Offering) but after press the Accept, Reject or any othe action button is received the error:
Error Unable to communicate with Enterprise Server. outbound Option not available (attached to post).
What does this mean?

please suggest the issue and steps to resolve the problem or suggest that it is very critical so can i open the cisco tac call.

If you continue to receive this error please check that the virtual appliance is configured to use the dynamichost for updating:
myesa_2.local> updateconfig

Once 'dynamichost' is entered, the current dynamic host in use will be displayed in the prompt [ ]>, as seen above.
You will need to verify that the appliance - escpecially if a virtual (VESA) - is using the correct host.

i am doing a glass fish clustering with load balancer plugins using SJWS7.0 as the loadbalancer.
i installed glassfish v2.1 and set up a cluster with a single node and single instance
and i did all the steps as per this document

The glassfish document that you mentioned does not provide any instructions to start the web server's administration server.
Could you verify that the web server's administration server is indeed running? Do the following to start web server's administration server:
$ <websrvr_instance_dir>/admin-server/bin/startservAfter that step try out the deploy-config command as described in the document.

I'm having a similiar problem with one of my customers. We haven't been able to resolve it but we have found a way around it, I'd like to do more testing but my customer justs wants to get on with it now that we have a workaround. Logging a call with Microsoft
can be expensive, most businesses have a finite amount of support hours so you really have to do your homework before you starting chewing those hours up.
Problem Description:
Customer created a custom list with two calculated columns and various choice, string and multi-string columns. Customer was attempting to copy and paste 128 rows of data into each column from a spreadsheet. The first (title) column successfully pasted
128 values.
Subsequent columns would paste the values but not allow the values to be committed as every row displayed the "Unable to Communicate with the Server" message, preventing the list from being saved.
Workaround:
The problem appears to be related to the number of items the customer is trying to paste during each operation and the relationship this has with the calculated columns. We found that when we pasted 70 or less items in one operation we did not receive the
error. I attempted pasting 128 rows of data into a seperate list with the same columns excluding the calculated columns, and was successfully able to paste all 128 rows.
For the problem list I suggested to the customer to copy the formula's from the calculated columns, delete these columns and then trying pasting again, he didn't like the idea as he's happy to paste in 50% chunks. Based on the fact I was able to paste
without any problems on a list without calculated columns I would suggest it's related.
So my questions for you are:
Are you trying to paste/add multiple values at once?
Do you have any special column types, i.e. calculated or lookup columns?
What columns do you have in your list?
Have you tried adding the entries in using form entry instead of grid entry?
Unforunately I don't know how generic this error message is, there is absolutely nothing in my ULS logs or event viewer. If this error is specific to submitting data to a list in grid view it would make it easier to diagnose, but if the error is generic
in nature your problem could be as obscure as the FBA configuration.
I hope this information helps you, I will try and do some more testing.

SOAP Monitor unable to communicate with server

We're getting started with a few RisPort SOAP Service requests and we're trying to leverage the built-in SOAPMonitor at (:8443/realtimeservice/SOAPMonitor).
We can't seem to get the monitor to connect - the exact error is "The SOAP Monitor is unable to communicate with the server." Any pointers to help troubleshoot this issue? We're struggling to find any CUCM related info on this one.

Have you tried to restart the soap service in CUCM? We had this error with Prime Collaboration once and that was able to resolve it. Good luck.

Hello,
It seems that error message occurs on the same machine with the previous Exchange Server you have decommissioned. Have you reinstall the Windows System after uninstall the Exchange
Server?
You need to check the registry keys but this is not efficient solution. The most efficient way is to reinstall the Windows if it is convenient.

I tried to turn off the firewalls to no avail and have, on multiple occasions tried to complete the setup for a Thunderbird email account and continue to get the same message, the pop up flashes in red "sorry we are unable to communicate with our sign-up server"
any ideas how you result this issue?

If it works, the sign up page will connect you to a 3rd party email account provider such as hover or gandi who will require payment. Is this really what you want to do, given that your ISP and other providers (gmail, gmx, hotmail, yahoo) will be happy to give you an account for free?
To connect an existing email address to Thunderbird, use the route '''File|New|Existing Email Account'''.

Webutil error "unable to communicate with runtime process."

Yesterday I configured webutil with Developer 10g (9.0.4).
I used webutil_106.zip and jacob_18.zip.
I succesfully deploy a form that display the selection file dialog with the function:
CLIENT_GET_FILE_NAME
Today I tried to test again the form, and I got an error when the form is opening, I review the log and I find "unable to communicate with runtime process.".....
I didn't change any configuration... what I'm doing wrong..... It just work great yesterday!!!!
I tried signing again the jacob.jar and frmwebutil.jar files..... However I still have the error.......
Any help is welcome....

When I use the webutil.olb in a form. I chose "Subclass", It's necessary to choose "Copy".

Unity Service - Error: Unable to communicate with service control center

but once I did that, I wasn't able to login anymore with my user, so I put it back to 4.
anyone ?

I make the right configuration of my network (eth0 and eth1) and I reboot my server the start CRS service automaticaly...
The problem is that my server don't stop rebooting automaticaly!!!
In /var/log messages I have this " oracle CSSD failure. Rebooting for cluster integrity" !!!
some one can help?
