Oracle vs Sun XML libraries

Sun has a Technology Release of an XML package. Is the Oracle XML
software similar, a subset, a superset, a parallel
implementation, or an entirely different product? When and why
should I prefer one over the other?
null

This code page and all others will be supported in our next
release.

  • Web Service error com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStack

    Hi,
I have implemented a Java class which calls some XML RPC 3.0 proxy methods.
If I test the method input inside a "main ()" method and get the output, it works nice.
The XML RPC 3.0 procy method is also invoked and there is no problem.
However, when I expose this java class as a "web service" and invoke the web service from the JDeveloper integrated console or
even an external test client running on a browser, I get the error mentioned below.
Which setting must be defined in the JDevelopper ( Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.2.0 on :

    Hello AYVR
I found your post because I want to suppress the stack trace in my response of the web service. I put the -Dcom.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStackTrace=false parameter in the setDomainEnv.cmd in the bin directory of my domain. Maybe this is also a solution for you.
    Cheers Chris

  • Nested while defining class: com.sun.xml.ws.api.WSBinding ???

Why is this happening, I am trying to access servlet, 2.4 on the Webshere 6.1, installation as succesfull and the servlet is running without exceptions.

This error indicates that the class: javax.xml.ws.Binding

    For future reference...
We followed the following instructions and created a shared lib.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/web.1013/e12290/opensrc.htm#BABDDAIF
We resolved most of our class loading issues.

  • Moving from com.sun.xml classes to the new xml support integrated in java

So far, for our XML implementation, we have used the DocumentEx, ElementEx, etc. from com.sun.xml.
We understand that xml is now supported by the java itself (javax.xml.parsers?) and we wish to update our code to use the newer API.
Is there a simple mapping between the old DocumentEx and ElementEx and new classes in javax.xml? Can it really be simple to "get rid" of com.sun.xml?

    The combination of the:
    Oracle XML SQL Utility
    and
Oracle XML Parser for PLSQL V2
    give you what you need.

along with wlfullclient.jar please add wseeclient.jar
Copy the file WL_HOME/server/lib/wseeclient.zip from the computer hosting WebLogic Server to the client computer( where WL_HOME refers to the WebLogic Server installation directory, such as /Oracle/Middleware/wlserver_12.1)
Unzip the wseeclient.zip file into the appropriate directory. For example, you might unzip the file into a directory that contains other classes used by your client application.
Add the wseeclient.jar file (unzipped from the wseeclient.zip file) to your CLASSPATH.
    Note:
Also be sure that your CLASSPATH includes the JAR file that contains the Ant classes (ant.jar). This JAR file is typically located in the lib directory of the Ant distribution.

  • Com.sun.xml.tree

    Hi all,
I am new to JAVA's XML related capabilities. I am trying to compile a program which imports com.sun.xml.tree for some reason. But I am not able to find which jar file it actually needs for this package and where to get it from. Can somebody please help?
    Thanks alot,
    Ritesh Maheshwari

This is a common problem that is a result of improper use of the JAXP libraries.
The com.sun.xml.tree package is an implementation package that was part of the JAXP 1.1 (I culd be wrong about the number) but is not part of the new versions that come with 1.4.
The person whoe wrote the code should never have used that package directly. In fact if you look at the Java docs for that package is specifically states not to use the classes directly.
Most likely the code uses the conm.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument class to write a DOM document to a file.
If that is the case I can provide replacement code that will work in 1.4

  • XML Libraries in JSP

    All:
I followed the on-line document with OAS to set up a JSP cartridge and set up the classpath for my JSP classes. Everything works fine. But when I want to include some XML Libraries in classpath (set it up in Environment Variables of my JSP cartridge and autoexec.bat under WINDOWS 2000), OAS always complains that it can not find XML libraries.
Can anybody tell me what could be wrong?
    Thanks,
    Jane

    <MyTag:Input id="Text1" mandatory="%= myObject.getValue "Text1","manadatory") % readonly="%= myObject.getValue("Text1","readonly")%"/>
Just take out < and >.

  • Java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.xml.rpc.client.ServiceFactoryImpl

    Hi Forum:
i want to explain you my problem i created a webservice with JDeveloper 10.1.3, and run perfectly but when i want to run it in another IDE i copied the codes to a another IDE and run perfectly in a simple java project in my different IDE but when i putted the code in a web application in another web server differente to the oracle i got this error message
    vax.xml.rpc.ServiceException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.xml.rpc.client.ServiceFactoryImpl ------------------------- Loader Info ------------------------- ClassLoader name:
i dont know whats happening and is so strange because i make one simple java project in eclipse and i copied the codes and works fine, but in a web application i cant run it.
I also founded it the jar to this class com.sun.xml.rpc.client.ServiceFactoryImpl
    but doesnt work
Can somebody help me, please?.. i really need it..
    thnks
    joshua

It usually means that a JAR in which the class file resides is not included in the web-app or is not on the classpath. Had the same problem with the last Eclipse/WebLogic project where JAR files, in which class files resided on which other class files were dependent, were missing.

  • Put com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStackTrace to false

    Hello friends,
I am working with Oracle JDeveloper 11g and an standalone Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3. I deployed a web service into the weblogic and when I try to execute a writing method, it throws the exception that says that I must put com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStackTrace to false. I made several tests and I know that the problem is taking place into the weblogic. Anybody knows how can I put com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStackTrace to false into the weblogic??
    Regards,
    AYVR

I have seen this error when I'm executing inside one of the (j2ee sun reference implementation) server containers (either web or ejb). I believe its caused by "something" having previously loaded the "sax 1 driver class". In my case, I think the container or server is loading the sax parser from a jar that contains a sax 1 version. If you can, ensure that nothing is loading the sax 1 parser from another jar on your system. Verify that you are loading the sax parser from a jar containing the latest version so that you get the sax 2 compliant parser. Good luck!

  • Population of Oracle DBs from XML?

Forgive me if I haven't fully understood Oracle's new XML parser
for Java, but is it possible to >>directly<< populate an Oracle
database from an XML file or do you have to use the Java parser.
As a developer using Delphi it would be most useful to have a
generic XML to table converter build into Oracle. As far as I
can see the only way at the moment to do this is throgh the Java
VM. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Any comments on this thread would be most appreciated.

    : Hi Ian,
: You can do it in a variety of ways. One is to use the XML SQL

: The other option is the use of IFS to process XML documents
