However, if you do not have self-control, Oracle is free to ask for additional funds when they do their periodic audit.

Error while running application under Oracle Web logic server 10.3
Hi all,
I am using Oracle Web logic server 10.3 to run reports(CR4E).when at the time of adding server in to crystal report application
i had taken Application Development Support Then at run time it is showing following error message
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKException---- Error code:-2147467259 Error code name:failed
How to Solve these critical problem
Thanks ,
Amol PatilHi Rahul,
Server logs may contain JDK warnings such as the following if the jdk folder is an mklink.
*[WARN ][osal ] Could not add counter (null)\ for query*
*[WARN ][osal ] Failed to init virtual size counter.*
These are just warnings and do not affect any servers.
Workaround
To suppress these warnings, add the following line in the FRAMEWORK_LOCATION\provisioning\provisioning-plan\fusionapps_start_params.properties file
-Xverbose:osal=error
You can even try the solution provided in below link

Monitor loggedin user in Oracle Web Logic Server
Dear All,
We are using IPM (11.1.1.3.0) with Oracle Web Logic Server 10.3.3.0 (Embedde LDAP).
Can you please let me know how to monitor user login sessions (which user login at what time to the system, when he last loggedin) from Web Logic Server ?
Also let me know whether it is possible to create a monthly report of each user login duration and how can I do it.

Run Oracle Web Logic and Oracle Application Server 10g on same server
Since oracle has chosen to release adf faces 11g, before the SOA suite 11g is released, we are facing the challenge to run both Oracle Web logic and Oracle Application Server 10g on the same server.
If anyone have any experience in this setup or has knowledge of other feasable setups please let me know.
Regards.
JanWhat version of Oracle Application Server 10g are you installing?
If you are installing 10gR2 (v10.1.2.x) have you taken a look at point #70 in "Table 2 Additional Information for Certified Platforms" section here?

Hi All,
I have here a 6509-E chassis with a Sup720 in it and an ACE module also in it.
Our enviornment is getting oracle web-logic virtual servers via OVM. Our ERP team would like to be able to load-balance to the web servers located in the oracle OVM box. The Oracle OVM stuff, as near as I can make out uses java processes to direct traffic once it hits the box to the virtual web servers it contains. The java processes listen on different ports, thereby meaning there can be loads of web servers on the one box assuming the physical box has enough resources.
That said, I currently have three web servers all sitting on the one physical box.
For example:
/* Style Definitions */
table.MsoNormalTable
{mso-style-name:"Table Normal";
mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0;
mso-tstyle-colband-size:0;
mso-style-noshow:yes;
mso-style-priority:99;
mso-style-parent:"";
mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt;
mso-para-margin:0cm;
mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt;
mso-pagination:widow-orphan;
font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";}
server1 = http://10.1.95.70:9999
server2 = http://10.1.95.70:9888
server3 = http://10.1.95.70:9777
The Company bought ACE modules a while ago and we'd like to be able to use them to load balance across the three servers (there are a lot more than three but this illustrates the point).
In the configuration of the ACE module, the rserver mode (real server) requires an IP to be assigned to the rserver, this is the real IP address of the actual server and is classes as 'serverside' I think:
eg
/* Style Definitions */
table.MsoNormalTable
{mso-style-name:"Table Normal";
mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0;
mso-tstyle-colband-size:0;
mso-style-noshow:yes;
mso-style-priority:99;
mso-style-parent:"";
mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt;
mso-para-margin:0cm;
mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt;
mso-pagination:widow-orphan;
font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";}
/* Style Definitions */
table.MsoNormalTable
{mso-style-name:"Table Normal";
mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0;
mso-tstyle-colband-size:0;
mso-style-noshow:yes;
mso-style-priority:99;
mso-style-parent:"";
mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt;
mso-para-margin:0cm;
mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt;
mso-pagination:widow-orphan;
font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";}
rserver host SVR_9999
description Real Server 9999
ip address 10.1.95.70
inservice
As the second web server also resides on that same IP, should it not also have the same IP? ie
rserver host SVR_9888
description Real Server 9888
ip address 10.1.95.70
inservice
When I try to enter in the ip address however it errors out with a duplicate:
ACE1/TEST_CTX(config)# rserver host SVR_9888
ACE1/TEST_CTX(config-rserver-host)# ip address 10.1.95.70
Error: Duplicate IP address or subnet
My question is: Is there a way I can use the ACE module to load balance to different web servers on the one IP address (assuming the rest of the configuration is fine)? Something that would achieve the following eg?
/* Style Definitions */
table.MsoNormalTable
{mso-style-name:"Table Normal";
mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0;
mso-tstyle-colband-size:0;
mso-style-noshow:yes;
mso-style-priority:99;
mso-style-parent:"";
mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt;
mso-para-margin:0cm;
mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt;
mso-pagination:widow-orphan;
font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";}
rserver host SVR_9999
description Real Server 9999
ip address 10.1.95.70:9999
inservice
rserver host SVR_9888
description Real Server 9888
ip address 10.1.95.70:9888

Many thanks in advance.

Change from jboss to Oracle Web Logic Server
Dear all
Currently, we have used the jboss for start T24 Browser, ATM, ... Now we want to change it to ORACLE WEB LOGIC SERVER
Could you please guide me detail as per-requisist , license , how to configure, where could i download to test it?
ThanksHi,
Please follow the below steps :-
1)In order to install Weblogic it depends on the type of OS bit version.
If you would install it on a 32 bit version then it has embedded JDK in it but if you use 64 bit then you need first either install Sun JDK or Jrockit JDK 64 version and download the Generic jar and install it.
Java 64 bit could downloaded from the below URL :-
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/archive-139210.html
Note :- Java 8 is not supported or certified with Weblogic.So request you to either use Java 6 or Java 7 depending upon the version of Weblogic and its certification.
====
2)Could you please refer to the below certification matrix to verify if the OS is supported with Weblogic on which the configuration would be done :-
Oracle Fusion Middleware Supported System Configurations
Either you could use Weblogic 12C or Weblogic 10.3.1 to 10.3.6 depeding upon your requriement.
3)Please follow the below link where all the Weblogic installers could be downloaded :-
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/wls-main-097127.html
"Accept the License " to download the installers.
4)Regarding License it would be better to check with Oracle SAN for you account or contact Oracle Support depending upon the region you belong to by following the below URL :-

GC 11, Web Logic installation problem
Redhat 5,5 x64
Oracle 11gR2 Database
Oracle 11gR1 GC
Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.2) - generic .jar file
JDK 1,6
Hello,
I launch the installer for WLS like:
<JAVA_HOME>/bin/java -d64 -jar wls1032_generic.jarAnd installer launch fine, however, it feels somewhat slow, graphicly.
First step is to provide an middleware home, and on the next step, about configuration manager, where they want me to provide metalink account, it hangs after pressing next. It does not matter if i provide my e-mail or not.
It says; are you sure you would like to continue anyway, and one time again it ask me if im sure, and i press yes, and then on "next", nothing happends and all buttons are grey.
Im not sure how to investigate this. :)
Any help is welcomed, thanksuser624442 wrote:
Hi,
As i know the only ways you have to get weblogic patchs are :
Connecting your server to the internet, juste for time you need to download your patch
or
Use a server that is connecting to internet and having the same version of weblogic for witch you need the patch. After you have to move the patch from one machine to anouther using system commands
Regards,
MouhssineYes, and thats really crappy. Ive provided Oracle Support with the BUG id number and they are gonna download the patches for me, but in my opinion i should be able to do this myself.
There must be alot of people that does not want to grant connection to Internet on their production servers, whats the use of a new, nice, good (as it seems) GUI that no one can use anyway? Having another web logic server just for downloading is also another aspect of the uselessness of Smart Update.

Oracle Map Viewer Application on Oracle Web Logic
We have developed an application using map viewer, Oracle 10g and deployed it in Oracle AS 10g. It was running fine and OK. Now we switched over the same application to Web logic10.3, using map viewer 10.1.3.3, Oracle db11g, JDeveloper 11g. We could deploy successfully on Web logic. The problem encountered is that During the map display (mapviewer.run()), an exception “Map viewer cannot process your map request. Check map viewer log for details.” is coming. We checked Map viewer log file and found no comments.
If your web server is working and the forms server is running type:
http://ip addr:port/dev60html/runform.htm
You need to put the ip address or name of your server in and the port number apache is running on (leave blank if this is 80).
This gives you the Oracle Forms start screen.

Oracle web logic crashing other services on same server
Hello,
I have three servers in a cluster. Everything runs great. All of a sudden they can no longer speak to eachother on port 7001. But then they can again, and then they can't, then they can. QUICK hits. Also other services on the same boxes are taking hits as well including the ssh services that are running on all three. Again. Quick hits. Interestingly enough when the service does take a hit, it will continue to listen on port 22.....I haven't gotten a change to check bandwidth utilization, but those are gig switches, and I don't think these things are sending gigs worth of data to each other in bursts. Physical cabling is good between the servers and the switch. It's services on the box that are taking hits. When we restart web logic, everything is great for a few days and then this issue will start up again. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dice.Hi Dice,
I agree with Kalyan recommendation to assess the health of your cluster, so please do that.
That being said, your comment regarding Weblogic restart is very important as well. Did you also assess the health of your JVM garbage collection & CPU during these spikes? Global VM collections e.g. Full GC can be quite intrusive and cause JVM to hang. When JVM hangs, Weblogic Server Socket port (associated with that VM) may not reachable depending how long GC runs, what policy you use, capacity of your physical server, # of physical cores etc.
Please see of these QUICK hits that you refer actually correlate with Full GC cycles from one or more JVM's running from that host.
Please also share the specification of your JVM (vendor e.g. HotSpot vs. IBM vm vs. Jrockit, Heap size, 32-bit vs. 64-bit etc.) and physical host (speed & # of cores, OS etc.)
If system is fine for few days then start to degrade, then please look for some JVM leak patterns.... A JVM memory leak means OldGen/tenured space growing over time, so will GC elapsed time & frequency until you start to notice global impact & degradation.
Please share any data that you have on the above so we can rule that out.
If you are not using any monitoring at this point, I recommend at minimum that you enable verbose:gc so we can assess the health of your JVM's running from that host.
Thanks.
