Oracle workflow notification getting disappered from screen
Hi
I am working on a custom workflow. which is sending FYI notification to the supplier.
Workflow is working fine and sending the notification to the Supplier and it is also visible, but after some time the notification does not appear on the homepage in iSupplier login.
I have checked everything from my end but i am not able to identify the issue.
Please suggest what could be the reason.
On this one, I would check in the Closed Notifications tab and see if it/they are there. On FYI Notificaitons, they get marked CLOSED instead of OPEN when 1 or 2 things happen.
1. You open the notification and then close the screen, which actually closing the notificaiton
2. The Notifications are getting emailed using the WF Email service. In this case, when the Notificaitons are emailed they are also marked CLOSED.
Either way, you should see them in the Closed Notifications tab of the Notification screen.

ORACLE WORKFLOW NOTIFICATION MAILER START 방법
============================================
PURPOSE
Notification Mailer를 background에서 running 시키고,unix account의 logging out 후에도 지속적으로 running 시킬뿐 아니라 standard output 및 error message를 각각 저장할 수 있게 workflow unix user로 workflow mailer를 start 할 수 있다.
Explanation
nohup $ORACLE_HOME/bin/wfmail.snd -f <config_file>
1>mailer.log 2>mailer_err.log &
where <config_file> is $ORACLE_HOME/wf/res/wfmail.cfg
Alternatively, you can do the following to start the Notification Mailer without specifying the CONNECT parameter & value in the above step: Create Mailer Configuration file as the password parameter in the $ORACLE_HOME/wf/res/wfmail.cfg file is in clear text and poses a security problem.
nohup $ORACLE_HOME/bin/wfmail.snd -f $ORACLE_HOME/wf/res/wfmail.cfg owf_mgr/password@connect_string 1>mailer.log 2>mailer_err.log &
(Please note that even this method of running the Oracle Workflow Notification Mailer is not entirely secure in the sense that if anybody who has access to the middle-tier can always do a “/usr/ucb/ps -auxwww | grep wfmail.snd” and get the CONNECT information).
Example
Nohup $FND_TOP/bin/WFMAIL apps/apps@ 0 Y -f $FND_TOP/resource/ wfmail.cfg
1> $APPL_TOP/$APPLLOG/startwfmailer.log
2> $APPL_TOP/$APPLLOG/startwfmailer.log&

Get information from screen and finding patterns
Hello! I want to try bot programming for games and stuff.
The main problem I have is that the bot input should be taken from screen, and bot output should be an input (like: move mouse, click, move mouse...)
Taking for example this simple game:
http://www.onlinegames.com/basketball/
The algorithm should be:
1.- Find ball
2.- Find basket
3.- Find clicking place
4.- Click
But I don't know how to get info from screen, finding patterns and writing the output.
Any clue on what should I read about? articles, keywords, whatever.
Thank you very much!Search for "artificial intelligence" - I think if you were able to solve the first two steps in your proposed algorithm you would become a millionaire :-)
Depending on the crudeness of the graphics in the game, you might be able to just search for a particular pattern of pixels, but it's not going to be fast. If you're doing this to cheat in games, it would be far simpler and more effective to reverse engineer the communication protocol and send fake events back to the server... -
Is It normal that my premium category 15" retina MBPs screen has ghosting issues, and I get declined from screen replacement?
I have purchased this hardware in Budapest for approximately 3000 usd. I was a bit shocked to see screen ghosting after a few days of use. The problem was getting worse but because I am a design consultant working mainly on my Mac I couldnt take a week off to leave It at an Apple service station.
Last week I was surprised to receive the information from the local Apple repair shop in Germany that my retina MBP that I bought 13 months ago was declined from screen replacement by Apple.
Considering the price of the product I find It unacceptable that I need to work on a defective product and see shadows every time I leave an Illustrator or InDesign window open for a short period of time.
Is there any way to resolve this issue? I wouldnt like to pay another 800 dollars just to replace a component on my defective Apple product.Contact Apple Support directly. In Germany the Expresslane or this number
0800 6645 451 will allow you to speak directly to someone from Apple. Explain your situation. Mind you, AppleCare and issues with Apple products like this have to occur without any user accidents or user installed parts to ensure that Apple will cover you. If there was a user accident or installed part, you may be turned down. If you have the original Apple parts, and did the installation yourself, replace it with the original parts very carefully following the directions on http://www.ifixit.com/ unless you can afford an authorized service provider to do it for you. Since we don't speak for Apple here, being end users like yourself, that's why I say "may", as I've seen Apple handle these things on a case by case basis. So hopefully you don't have any obvious damage that looks like it is user caused. Good luck! -

Attach document as a link in oracle workflow notification
Hi,
I have a requirement to attach a word document stored as BLOB in database as a link in workflow notification.The link (document) should be visible and opened both from the workflow notification in the workflow admin notification queue and notification mail the approver receives.
I am getting the document from fnd_lobs and storing it in the item attribute of type Document.
Please help me how to attach the item attribute of type Document as a link in the notification.
This is urgent and any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks
DavidFor attaching a document you need to perform the following steps
1. The document type item attribute which is referred by message attribute must have the value in the form
PLSQLBLOB:SA_MLRTST.GETBLOBDOCUMENT/&DOC_ID
where SA_MLRTST.GETBLOBDOCUMENT is the PL/SQL procedure that generates a PL/SQL BLOB
DOC_ID is an attribute representing the file_id column in fnd_lobs table
2. The procedure GETBLOBDOCUMENT() must be of the form
CREATE OR REPLACE package body SA_MLRTST
as
procedure getBlobDocument(document_id in varchar2,
content_type in varchar2,
document in out nocopy blob,
document_type in out nocopy varchar2)
is
l_docid pls_integer;
l_filename varchar2(100);
l_errmsg varchar2(100) := 'The Document is not found in the Database';
l_bdoc blob;
l_data_type varchar2(100);
begin
l_docid := to_number(document_id);
dbms_lob.CreateTemporary(l_bdoc, FALSE, DBMS_LOB.Session);
select file_data
into l_bdoc
from fnd_lobs
where id = l_docid;
dbms_lob.Copy(document, l_bdoc, dbms_lob.getLength(l_bdoc));
exception
when others then
dbms_lob.WriteAppend(document, length(l_errmsg), l_errmsg);
wf_core.context('SA_MLRTST','getBLOBDoc',document_id);
raise;
end getBlobDocument;
end SA_MLRTST;

Oracle Workflow Notification to multiple users but only one response required
Hi,
I'd like to ask help on how I would go about this. I have a requirement using Oracle Workflow. Initially the workflow sends a notification with the option to Accept or Reject to a group of people, then if one accepts I should end the process. But if all rejects, then send a notification to the Manager.
I used a Loop Timer to loop through the members of the group but I noticed that one needs to reply before the next one gets notified and so on.
I thought of using adhoc role then adding all members to this role. But not sure how to catch if one accepts or all rejects.
Appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
AllenHi
We have a similar situation and every level has multiple user to release the PO. I have tried with all possibilities using standard functionality but no good.
Would you mind to share the design and the process will be great help.

Oracle WorkFlow not receiving responce from Notified Approver
Hi,
I have designed custom workflow for approval process in OM Oracle Apps. The workflow could able to send the notifications to the respective approver roles. And the approver getting notification and the 'APPROVED' the same, but the response is not reaching to the workflow engine I guess. When I go and check the workflow status for that order in OM the workflow process till the Notification sent, and it says notified to the assigned person. Even though approver approved the rest of the process not getting completed.
Please let me know what could be the issue, would appreciate your response as I could not move forward.
Thanks in Advance,
Jakki Reddyhi Amit,
Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
The best start point is to get the number of one of those notifications and then run
sqlplus apps/<passwd> @$FND_TOP/sql/wfmlrdbg.sql <notif #>
It will generate a HTML file that you can check to see the details of the roles associated to the notification, as well as the notification attributes that are involved in the e-mail processing.
You may also check on the following :
- Setting Global Preferences of Oracle Workflow Admin Guide
- Query the wf_users and verify/check on the values of notification_preference column.

Referencing an image in Oracle Workflow Notification
Hi,
My requirement is to generate a HTML Oracle Message in Oracle Workflow which references an image. The information which i came across is that we can incorporate an image in html using a URL attribute. This means that we need to put the image file in a location which can be accessed via a url. In Oracle applications, the icons are stored in the folder <ORACLE_HOME>/wf/java/oracle/apps/fnd/wf/icons/. Can we put the image file in this location and refer to it in the HTML notification. In this case we would not be able to use a url attribute. In this case, how will the html code look like for ex

Have you register the workflow against your site ?
If not register it and check the "Authorization header"
Register-SPWorkflowService -SPSite 'https://myhost/mysite' -WorkflowHostUri 'https://workflowhost:12990' -AllowOAuthHttp -Force

My IPOD Nono 2nd Gen showes up in ITunes but when I clike on it it just disapears and the only way to get IPOD Icon back is to disconnect it from PC then reconnect it when agin the icon apperas but when selected just disapears. Also I cannot Find the IPOD in the device Manager on PC not sure if this is cause of problem. The IPOD worked OK up to 4 weeks ago Can any one help please?
Try one or more of the following:
> Restart Your Computer
> Uninstall and Reinstall iTunes
> Reset iPod (nothing will get deleted)
> Look in My Computer (Windows 98, XP) OR Computer (Windows Vista or 7) and see if your iPod is in there.
In some cases (and this happened to me before) plug your iPod in and out your computer a few times. It should get it going. If not, then I strongly recommend starting your computer. -
Getting values from screen to search help exit
Hi Experts,
I have created a search help in which I am not using selection method but search help exit. Dialog type is 'Dialog with value restriction'. My requirement is to get the values entered in restriction screen into search help exit. Please suggest a parameter which will hold this value in search help exit function module.Hi M,
As you know there are 5 steps in search help exit. For each step, the values in parameter of your search help exit is different.
For your requirement, you need process in step 'DISP', and get the selection value from 'SHLP-SELOPT'.
Example:
*Build range for customer number
LOOP AT shlp-selopt INTO ls_selopt WHERE shlpfield = 'KUNNR'.
lr_kunnr-sign = ls_selopt-sign.
lr_kunnr-option = ls_selopt-option.
lr_kunnr-low = ls_selopt-low.
lr_kunnr-high = ls_selopt-high.
APPEND lr_kunnr.
CLEAR: lr_kunnr.
ENDLOOP.
Then using the lr_kunnr range in your select statement.

Warning message in Oracle Workflow notification
Hi,
I have a requirement, where a warning message is to be shown to the user when he presses the Approve button of a notification.
I know that through post notification function, validations for a particular notification can be performed and an error message can be shown to the user using RESULT := 'ERROR: error_msg'
But can a warning message be shown ? If yes how?
Thanks in advance.
Souri GuhaI would try by using a parameter to tell whether the warning message for the notification has been displayed. First time the notification is being approved the function raises the warning message and sets that attribute to indicate the warning has been displayed. Next attempt to respond the notification your function will check that attribute has been set and will do nothing, just let the notification go responded.
You might as well present the warning message in the notification body and introduce another attribute to get the acknowledgement from the user. Only when that attribute is set to YES (acknowledge) will the post-notification function actually let the notification be approved, otherwise an error is presented for the user to acknowledge.
Hope this helps

I have created the event as per your suggestions but the workflow is not yet triggered from mm01.
the event stack trace is as follows :-
BUS1001 CREATED 28.03.2011 08:28:42 WS99900237 @5B@ SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
BUS1001006 VIEWCREATED 28.03.2011 08:33:03 WS99900237 @5B@ SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF
BUS1001006 CREATED 28.03.2011 08:33:03 WS99900237 @5B@ SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
BUS1001 CREATED 28.03.2011 08:33:03 WS99900237 @5B@ SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
Linkage is activated in SWE2 and the receiver FM is SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT.
still unable to get the workflow triggered.
Secondly as per SAP suggestion the BO BUS1001006 should be used for std material master. But while i enter BUS1001006 no such methods are available in F4. (refer atttachment)
I have checked in the BOR and i see that BUS1001006 is released and active. -
WorkFlow BADI : Get Responsi From R/3 for given WBS
Hi,
Scenario:
I am developing a Workflow BADI in SRM5.0.
For all cost centers I am getting approvers based on Z-table values.
But then for WBS... i have to get the list of approvers from R/3.
I created a Function module in R/3 dev which gets me Responsible person.
Issue:
While calling the RFC function module... by giving destination name, the Function module is working fine.
But I dont want to Hardcode Destination name.
Can I get the Destination name in some other manner ?
Helpful Answers will be rewarded.
Regards,
Ashwin.Hi,
Please follow this logic:
1) Function Module BBP_GET_BACKEND_SYSTEMS will provide you the backend system detail (logical system name).
2) Then use the FM BBP_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_GETDETAIL to get the RFC destination of the backend system which can be used to make teh RFC call.
This would avoid hard coding and will work fine.
Sample Code:
*& Report ZKB_BACKEND_SYS
REPORT zkb_backend_sys.
DATA: lt_log_sys TYPE TABLE OF bbps_logical_system.
DATA: lt_messages TYPE TABLE OF balmi.
DATA: ls_log_sys TYPE bbps_logical_system.
DATA: lv_destination TYPE rfcdest.
CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_GET_BACKEND_SYSTEMS'
TABLES
et_logical_systems = lt_log_sys
et_messages = lt_messages.
CLEAR ls_log_sys.
READ TABLE lt_log_sys INTO ls_log_sys INDEX 1.
CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_GETDETAIL'
EXPORTING
logical_system = ls_log_sys-logsys
IMPORTING
destination = lv_destination
EXCEPTIONS
not_found = 1
OTHERS = 2.
IF sy-subrc <> 0.
MESSAGE ID sy-msgid TYPE sy-msgty NUMBER sy-msgno
WITH sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
ENDIF.
WRITE:/ 'RFC Destination is:', lv_destination.
