Oracle Workforce Development Program

Dear all
I have enrolled Oracle WDP for Oracle Database 11g Admininstration II course. They have sent email to download eKit for the course. I have downoaded successfull. My question is how I can associate my course to certifictions? I want to become legible for my OCP I have ready cleared and have OCA
What I espected they would have send student id and other staffs required in course submission form for OCP. Or should I wait for class to end? Plz i will appreciate any help from anyone who got OCP by enrolling this program or any one who has information
Regards
Sadock

What I espected they would have send student id and other staffs required in course submission form for OCP. Or should I wait for class to end?No -- you must send the information to Oracle Education yourself. The training center will not do that for you. Yes -- you need to wait until you have actually attended the course before sending in the form to show that you have attended the training. The instructions on sending in the course submission form can be found at the following URL:

  • Oracle workforce development partners in india

    hi all,
can you give here the link for oracle workforce development institutes in India.
i found some institutes in the following link,
    http://www.oracle.com/global/in/education/maps/oracle_wdp.html
is the link provides complete list of oracle workforce partners.
because i heard some other institutes which are not in this list, but claiming to be a workforce development partner.
how to verify an institute whether its workforce development partner.

regards -->abdur raoofMy answer is from a 'best common sense' viewpoint rather than an authoriative viewpoint.
    1) It is probably safer to use on the list if possible.
    2) It is possilble (and with my limited experience of Oracle's management of WDP entirely possilble) that he list has not been updated. (One would hope vunerable students would have access to a reliable and authorative list of WDP institutions however perhaps the technology has not yet been developed which allows this).
    3) I am equally sure some institutions would represent themselves as a WDP Partnet when they are not.
I recommend you try to check the status of this instition by email with https://workforce.oracle.com/pls/wdp/rd_psp_contact and retain the result, or failing that try the contact on http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=225 and keep the response.

  • Debugging in Oracle SQL Developer

I would like to know how to debug my PL / SQL programs in the Oracle SQL Developer program using breakpoints and such. I've never known how to use debugging tools like this and since this program provides this kind of feature, I was wondering if anyone on here might be able to shine some light on this for me. How are these used? How could I use them to say, figure out what the value of a given variable might be on line whatever? Etc.
One reason I'm setting out to learn this is because I'm tired of typing DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE all the time. I would think that there must be a better way than this.
Lastly (and while we're on that subject), what would cause SQL Developer to not output a DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE line? I've given this a string of text to output to the monitor and it's not working. It's in the DECLARE section (thinking I could place these almost anywhere my tiny little heart desired, but apparently, I'm wrong?)
    Again, any insight is appreciated.

Oh, I get it... We had another pesky drop-out fishing for homework cheats again, right?
Here's a suggestion to make this forum (you know, a place where people come together who all think differently about things both deep and shallow) somewhat more accepting and useful a place for idiots like me who might happen to overlook an apparently obvious "Help" menu item with the glowing neon-colored label heading of "Table of Contents": instead of wasting your own time (let alone, others) by posting silly responses that serve arbitrary agendas for the sake of inflating one's ego and online rep points due to having a bad high school experience, why not just instead take a high road (all the real Oracle kings around here hopefully take) and either ignore the response altogether or post something at least 1% useful. Sound like a plan? Great! For instance, why not inquire about why someone posted something that might not make sense to you? It's an amazing concept...
    Because after all...
"+I'm often perplexed about the "answers" we get. Seems like you never posted your suggestions.+"
...doesn't do a lot for people who come across this thread in similar straights or perspective I was in at the time of creating it.
    That said, something like...
"+Since you're using Oracle SQL Developer, you should have a 'Help' menu item near the top of the window. Click on it and then click on 'Table of Contents'. Proceed to do as Jim suggested by locating the topic 'Running and Debugging Functions and Procedures'. In that section of the contents, you will find more information about debugging your program, tips and tricks, etc. If this doesn't help you or if you're unsure about something in general, feel free to post back and we'll try to help you further.+"
...is much more helpful and succinct. It's welcoming, objective, and very informative (not that Jim's response wasn't).
On that note, Jim, I do appreciate your response. When I first read your suggestion, I had misinterpreted what you proposed in the heat of the moment. Above all else, I also had some things going on around me that were distracting me. Thanks again. I'm reading the topic right now...

  • How to execute command(program) from external file in Oracle SQL developer

    Hi,
Does anyone know, Oracle SQL developer version 1.0.0.14.67 got any function that can execute command from an external file?
Example, i have 100 insert SQL inside a text file,
and i want to use Oracle SQL developer to execute it. How do i read from my text file? Thanks a lots.

If you're new to Oracle, do yourself and us a favour: read some tutorials and manuals. What sqldev's worth, better download the latest version (1.1.2), lots of fixes and enhancements...
Now for the big popper: to run an external file: @file
    Best of luck,
    K.

  • Copying from Oracle SQL Developer to Microsoft Word doesn't retain formatting (Font, colors etc)

Copying from Oracle SQL Developer Worksheet doesn't retain formatting (font, color etc...)in Microsoft Word but copying from other programs such as
visual studio, chrome browser etc works fine. This doesn't work even after changed the setting to Keep Source formatting of Options-> Copy and Paste Settings

    Hi,
I notice that you have cross posted in Answers forum and Oracle forum. Have you tried Mr. Peter's suggestion?
Then, I recommend we check the Word settings:
    1. Go to: Options > Advanced > Cut, Copy and Paste
    2.  Make sure that Use smart cut and paste is ticked.
    3. Click the Settings button next to this option
    4. Make sure that Smart Style
    Behavior is checked.
If the issue still exists, please upload a sample through One Drive, I want to test.

  • How to install downloaded Oracle Forms Developer/Services 6i Release 2 for linux

    Hi folks,
    I downloaded d2k6irelease2.tar (Oracle Forms Developer/Services 6i Release
    2 for linux) from
    http://otn.oracle.com/software/products/forms/htdocs/linuxsoft.html
I untar the file on my linux machine however the extracted files don't
seem to contain any installing program. I didn't find products.jar in the
files and there are no script to install the software. I read the attached
doc, however it only assumes that the installation is from CD-ROM. The doc
doesn't help anything for this downloaded software. I wonder if anyone
here know how to install it. Thank you so much.
    Best regards,
    Kai Huang

There should be a text based installer in the /orainst sub-
    directory
In that directory, just run the script:
    ./orainst
The installer seems to require libXm.a, which wasn't included in
my RH 7.1 installation, so I had to install the motif-
development libraries before the full install would complete
    successfully.

    Hi,
One prior post discussing the use of Java 7 is:
SQL Developer 3.0  and Java SE 7?
There is no need to uninstall any Java version (except if you have disk space constraints) and no problem switching between Java versions. This may be controlled in the sqldeveloper.conf file in your ...\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin directory via the SetJavaHome line. For example:
    #SetJavaHome ../../jdk
    SetJavaHome C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_26
    #SetJavaHome C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0Regards,

  • Running/Compiling *.java file in Oracle Sql Developer

I want to compile/run java 5.0 files in Oracle sql developer1.1.2.25 on Fedora 5 platform.
I have added javac as an enternal tool to compile java programs. Tools-->External Tools-->New
I have also added java: /usr/java/jre1.5.0_10/bin/java as an external tool to run the complied programs
I am able to compile the java programs, but i am not able to run them.
I am providing ${file.name.no.ext} as an argument to java.
    Java-Log Output is:
    /usr/java/jre1.5.0_10/bin/java Writer2
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Writer2
However, if i run the same program in Linux terminal, i get the correct output:
    [root@localhost java]# which java

  • Editing views in Oracle SQL Developer

    Hi All,
I have only just downloaded Oracle SQL Developer and have vreated a view. Now I want to be able to go back to that view and edit. When I right click on the view, it gives the option to edit but my scripts to edit isn't there, morre or less telling me to start all ove r again.
Can some one help on this or am I just to new to the program.
    Many thanks
    Cube60

    Hi,
I don't seem to get waht you mean. When I right click on my view, then I choose edit, then on the first tab, Entire SQL query, mine comes up as blank.
When inserting new records on a table with its primary keys based on sequence numbers, it does not automatically pick the nextval in the sequencce.
For example, before downloading SQL Developer, I used to work in SQLplus and I have created records and have now moved them from that table to history table for records purpose. Lets say I have moved or deleted records with empid 8 -101 to a history table without a link between my source table and my destination table. The next record I should be allowed to enter in SQL Developer should be 102 and not empid 9 as it presently does.
    SQL> select seq_empid.currval from dual;
    CURRVAL
    101
Any comments or way round this?
    Thanks

  • JAR conflicts in Oracle SQL Developer Extension

    Hi,
I am developing a extension for Oracle SQL Developer. I want to use JavaFX to show a WebView inside SQLDeveloper, so I imported such library.
When I try to use such library, the program crashes with an error (NoSuchMethodError) pointing to the constructor of JSObject. The problem is that oracle.help_5.0 (bundled with sql developer) and JavaFX (in the future is going to be bundled in jre) defines the same class (netscape.javascript.JSObject) with different implementations.
My question is that if it is possible to define/modify the ClassLoader to serve the JSObject provided by JavaFX library to the JavaFX library.
    Thank you in advance!

    Thats odd.
Do you see any exceptions in console ? (to see the console launch sqldeveloper.exe in ../sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin dir.)

  • Data Transformation Service (DTS) available in Oracle SQL Developer?

    Hi All,
Sorry to bother you again. Is Data Transformation Service (DTS) available in Oracle SQL Developer? So far I cannot find it. For example, i want merge First Name, Last Name column from Access, excel or cvs to migrate as Full Name in Oracle or Full name in Access,Xls or cvs split into First name & last name column in Oracle. What method or service should I use.
    Regards,
    Tun Tun

On wikipedia, I see that's a SQL Server component, so I don't think it's possible to use it in any other program.
But you can always tweak columns through normal queries, and even create a new table based on that, like
    CREATE TABLE Table_New AS
    SELECT First_Name || Last_Name FROM Table_OldHope that helps,

                             System.err.println(e.getMessage());
    public static void main(String args[]){
         SelectData sd=new SelectData();

When i run this class file it gives error :-
    "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
Plz help me out from this problem and suggest any configuration if required in oracle sql developer to run my programs.

    {color:#0000ff}hi,
add the jar for oracle jdbc to the libraries.
if you are using any IDE then just change the project properties adding the jar file.
if not edit the classpath of the envoirnment variables.
