Oracle XDK Java 9.2.0.2.0 installation problem

Hi,
I downloaded xdk_java_9_2_0_2_0 and I did change the default connection with my username and password in XSQLConfig.xml file. When I tried to execute XSQL.bat file under bin folder I am getting the error in dos window as follows
Bad command or file name
Oracle XDK Java 9.2.0.2.0 Production
XSQL-005: XSQL page is not well-formed.
XML parse error at line 1, char 1
Start of root element expected.
Please suggest me what I need to do...

This means your XSQL page is not well-formed XML document. Please check the syntax in your .xsql file.

  • Oracle XDK Java removing security vulnerabilities

    Hi All,
    I am looking for removing security vulnerabilities that may be associated with XML parsers.
    I am looking which version of Oracle XDK Java has removed security vulnerabilities associated with XML Parsing.
    Also what is the latest version Oracle XDK Java is present in market.
    Also is new version are backward compatible. Do we need to see is any change in API level occurs.
    Currently we are using Oracle XDK Java 10.2.0.2.
    Just a description of security vulnerabilities that may be associated with XML parsers are
    "The vulnerabilities are related to the parsing of XML elements with unexpected byte values and recursive parentheses, which cause the program to access memory out of bounds, or to loop indefinitely. The effects of the vulnerabilities include denial of service and potentially code execution. The vulnerabilities can be exploited by enticing a user to open a specially modified file, or by submitting it to a server that handles XML content.:

    Which JVM is the security tool complaining about (what is the directory path, for example)?
    My guess is that the tool is complaining about the older JVM that Oracle installs in order to run the Oracle Universal Installer and the other Java-based installation tools.  If that's the case, those JVMs do not generally represent a security issue because they are not running anything on a day-to-day basis.  They're only used by things like the OUI which only get invoked when someone wants to do something like install new software.  Ideally, you'd be able to have the conversation with the security folks and explain that those older JVMs exist only for the limited purpose of running the OUI and the other configuration tools.
    If the security folks want you to upgrade the Java version (as opposed to just installing patches to the older JVMs), that has a decent probability of breaking the various installation and configuration tools.  That may not have much impact on a day-to-day basis but may make administration tasks in the future more challenging.

  • Java CLDC Emulation (Java ME Dev Kit 3.0) installation problem

    Hi,
    I tried installing Java CLDC Emulation from Java ME Dev Kit 3.0 to two different devices and Windows Mobile 6 Professional Emulator with mixed results:
    - Installation on Sprint phone went fine and I can open 'Sun Java CLDC Emu' from Start->Programs
    - Installation on IPAQ110 & Windows Mobile 6 Professional Emulator went fine, however when I try to run it I get the following message:
    "The file 'sun_jwc' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file"
    I guess it has something to do with version of Windows since phone has Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and IPAQ&Emulator Windows Mobile 6 Classic.
    Can I just install some certificate into trusted store to make this work or Java CLDC Emulation from Java ME Dev Kit 3.0 works only with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional?
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Try this instructions:
    1. Download and install Microsoft Device Emulator with device images for Windows Mobile 6 in "Network" emulator properties tab.
    2. Download and install Microsoft Virtual PC.
    Note: Installs virtual switch driver required for emulated network adapters.
    3. Run Windows Mobile 6 Professional Emulator and bind its emulated NE2000 Network Adapter to a desktop network card.
    Note 1: Consult the Microsoft device emulator documentation for instructions.
    Note 2: Don't use ActiveSync for networking (cradling the emulator).
    4. Write down the IP address of the emulator and the IP address of the host computer.
    4.1. Open the Start menu on the emulator, click Settings, click Connections, click Network Cards, Click NE2000 Compatible Ethernet Driver.
    4.2. Open Network Connections on the desktop, and display the status of the connection corresponding to the network card to which the NE2000 Network Adapter has been bound (step 3). Click the Support tab.
    5. Open Emulator Properties.
    5.1. Open the File menu.
    5.2. Click Configure.
    6. Set JavaMESdkHome\on-device\winmobile-arm as a shared folder in "General" emulator properties tab.
    6.1. Browse to JavaMESdkHome\on-device\winmobile-arm.
    6.2. Click OK.
    7. Run File Explorer on the emulator.
    7.1. Open Start menu.
    7.2. Click Programs.
    7.3. Click File Explorer.
    8. Start the Sun Java CLDC Emulation CAB file installation.
    8.1. Open Show menu.
    8.2. Select Storage Card.
    8.3. Click on the sun-java-cldc-emu.cab file.
    9. Finish the installation and run the Sun Java CLDC Emulation.
    Note: See the device installation for reference.
    10. Register the Windows Mobile emulator in the Java ME SDK.
    10.1. Open JavaMESdkHome\toolkit-lib\process\device-manager\conf\static-registrations.cfg.
    10.2. Add the <device name>, <device ip>, <host ip> line into the file and save the changes (use the IP addresses from step 4).
    As instance: MS_Emulator, 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.1
    11. Restart the Java ME SDK Device Manager.

  • Oracle Express Server v.6.3.1.0 installation problem

    I downloaded oes6301nt.exe - Oracle Express Server - NT (118MB) from the Oracle web site, unzipped it and start using Universal Installer to install it for stage/product.jar. I specified Oracle Home as OraExpress81 and path as F:\Oracle Express\olap and chose a typical installation.
    At about 98% completion, I got an error: Invalid Search Spec or no DLLs found F:\Oracle*.dll on a error meassge box with an OK button. I clicked the OK button and the installation went to 100% and gave me a message "The installatio of Oracle Express Server was successful. I then re-booted the machine.
    But when I tried to run the Express Instance Manager, it wouldn't start. It just blinked for 5 sec then quited.
    I checked the programs, the installed programs are:

    Express Instance Manger
    Express Server 6.3.0 -> Express Instance Manager

  • Oracle 8.1.6 on RH Linux 6 installation problem

    I am using Universal Installer to load Oracle 8.1.6 on Red Hat Linux 6 and it isn't able to complete the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant routine. Up until then everything has been fine, but loading DCA results in the following error detail:
    SIGSEGV received at bf3ff7f4 in /lib/libpthread.so.0. Processing terminated Writing stack trace to javacore4263,txt ... OK
    I used the Java engine that comes with 8.1.6, as recommended. I have read many of the postings and hope that I can get the same great results for my question.
    If additional information is needed on my account, please let me know and I will do what I can to collect it.
    Thansk for your help.

    You can create a database without using those assistants. See section 3.7 of my homepage:
    http://homepages.tig.com.au/~jmsalvo/linux/oracle8i.html
    In the end, you will "appreciate" the steps (save for OFA) required to get a db up and running.

  • Oracle Database 10.2 and Client 10.2 installation problem

    Hi Everybody,
    I am trying to install Oracle Databse 10.2g and Oracle Client 10.2 on the same server(windows 2003). I have few queries :
    - Can we install both on Same Server
    - Shall be install in the same directory or each in differenct directory
    - Does each oracle database and oracle client has it's on oracle/home path
    I installed the Oracle database and check it was working fine, I have also login through "sqlplus "/as sysdba". It was ok, all the oracle services were running perfectly. But when I installed the oracle client on the same server then all the oracle services were stopped and even when I tried to restarted manualy then got error, local user cannot start the service. Aslo not able to login thrugh sqlplus.
    Could you please give your expert views.
    Thanks in advance.
    Harish

    You can have as many Oracle Homes as your require, but you should be aware that each new Oracle Home modifies PATH environment variable, so the database could have been working fine until the client was installed, which has modified the reference to the database home.
    You could modify it back from the server advanced properties at the windows control panel.

  • Oracle 10g for Solaris 9 (SPARC 64-bit) installation problem

    I am trying to install Oracle Database 10g that I downloaded to my Solaris 9 (64-bit) SunBalde 100 and I got an error when it was running the Database Configuration Assistant. The error that I got is "ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified".
    The machine has 768 MB memory and at least 15 GB free hard disk space. I have also followed all the steps in the installation guide and installed all the required OS patches.
    Please help.

    be sure to set your environment correctly.
    Sounds like your didn't set the environment variable ORACLE_SID
    Check all your settings, e.g. ORACLE_HOME, PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH and ORACLE_SID and try again

  • Oracle XDK and FOP 0.20.4 not working...

    Hi all,
    We have created a sample application with Apache FOP to obtain a PDF document.
    But, although it works fine with XERCES and XALAN, it doesn4t work with Oracle XDK, why?
    May it be a bug in Oracle XDK? Or do Apache projects implements something non-standard that is used? Or is Oracle who does not implement all the specification?
    This is the sample: (in perfect spanish ;-) )
    You only should change the file locations and the System.setParameters and libraries to use Apache or Oracle XDK.
    Can anybody help us?

  • Need Expert Advice regarding oracle and java objects

    In our project, we are submitting data for many screens at a time. Some screens will have a list of records to be submitted. There is also some hierarchy among the data up to 4 levels.
    In such a scenario, we need to know the best way to exchange data between Oracle and Java. Currently java holds the data as objects, where each object may contain an array of next level of objects in it.
    Is it best approach to pass the entire data with hierarchy to Oracle using nested table approach and internally oracle handling the data? Is there any other way to do this?
    Also in some scenarios we need to pass the entire information for all the screens in one shot with the hierarchy. So we need to know a solution for that also. Could you please help us in this regard?

    BI Version: OBIEE 10g EE - 10.1.3.4.1
    I have checked these places:
    1. Environment variable: C:\Java\jdk\bin;
    2. Instanceconfig.xml: *<JavaHome>C:\Java\jdk</JavaHome>*
    3. Java verision: *6.0.230.5*
    Can anyone help me to identify and solve this issues.
    Thanks,

    Edited by: Yar on Mar 9, 2011 7:11 AM

    Hi Yar,
    You can try changing the Heap memory allocation parameter for Javahost at <OBI Install Directory>\instances\instance_Number\config\OPMN\opmn\opmn.xml file...
    Search for -Xmx1024M and replace with -Xmx768M, save the file and Start the JavaHost, it should work.

  • Oracle BPM Java API - getting informations about process activities

    Hi
    I have a problem with Oracle BPM Java API, can someone help me?
    I have a business process project deployed in Oracle SOA Suite and I need to get some informations of my process programatically via Java API.
    Basically I need to get informations about process activities and the corresponding human tasks referenced by these activities.
    I'm able to get the HumanTasks of my Business Catalog and also to get the Activities of my Process, but the relationship between them is null.
    I did some tests, below a piece of code of my test:
    IBPMServiceClient bpmServiceClient = BPMConnectionUtil.getBPMServiceClient();
    IProcessMetadataService processMetadataService = bpmServiceClient.getProcessMetadataService();
    IProcessModelService processModelService = bpmServiceClient.getProcessModelService();
    List<ProcessMetadataSummary> processMetadataSummaryList =
    processMetadataService.listProcessMetadataSummary(BPMConnectionUtil.getBPMContext(), "processNameOrId to find", "processName", "ASC");
    if (processMetadataSummaryList == null || processMetadataSummaryList.size() == 0)
    return;
    ProcessMetadataSummary processMetadataSummary = null;
    for (ProcessMetadataSummary summary: processMetadataSummaryList) {
    if (summary.isIsDefaultRevision()) {
    processMetadataSummary = summary;
    break;
    if (processMetadataSummary == null)
    processMetadataSummary = processMetadataSummaryList.get(0);
    IProcessModelPackage pack = processModelService.getProcessModel(BPMConnectionUtil.getBPMContext(), processMetadataSummary.getCompositeDN(), processMetadataSummary.getProcessName());
    oracle.bpm.project.model.processes.Process process = pack.getProcessModel();

    IBPMServiceClient bpmServiceClient = BPMConnectionUtil.getBPMServiceClient();
    IProcessMetadataService processMetadataService = bpmServiceClient.getProcessMetadataService();
    IProcessModelService processModelService = bpmServiceClient.getProcessModelService();
    List<ProcessMetadataSummary> processMetadataSummaryList =
    processMetadataService.listProcessMetadataSummary(BPMConnectionUtil.getBPMContext(), "processNameOrId to find", "processName", "ASC");
    if (processMetadataSummaryList == null || processMetadataSummaryList.size() == 0)
    return;
    ProcessMetadataSummary processMetadataSummary = null;
    for (ProcessMetadataSummary summary: processMetadataSummaryList) {
    if (summary.isIsDefaultRevision()) {
    processMetadataSummary = summary;
    break;
    if (processMetadataSummary == null)
    processMetadataSummary = processMetadataSummaryList.get(0);
    IProcessModelPackage pack = processModelService.getProcessModel(BPMConnectionUtil.getBPMContext(), processMetadataSummary.getCompositeDN(), processMetadataSummary.getProcessName());
    oracle.bpm.project.model.processes.Process process = pack.getProcessModel();
    Sequence<UserTask> activities = process.getActivities(UserTask.class);
    for (UserTask activity: activities) {
    System.out.println("Human Task: " +activity.getHumanTask()); // <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<---------------------------- here is the problem. the human task is null, but my activity have a task associated
    There is another way to get this information?
