Oracle-XE Download Page Broken

The Oracle-XE download page ( http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/xe/index.html ) appears to be broken. Clicking on either of the links for the Linux or Windows versions is returning a 404 error. Please pass this on to the appropriate OTN staff.

  • Download page broken

The download page for OEPE, and the instructions page, both appear to be broken - Google has a cached copy from 29 May 2009

    Ha! Too funny!!
It does NOT work in Apple's own Safari, even after reloads and cache clearing, but works fine in FireFox.
For Safari screenshot, see http://nulookgraphics.com/nobutton.png .
    THANKS!!
P.S. Time to seriously reconsider browsers. If I didn't already have FireFox downloaded, I would really have been P.O.ed. I don't like the way FireFox renders pages, such as forms, etc. But, what the heck, it displays Apple.com better than Apple does!

  • Weblogic Download Page broken

The download page for Weblogic located here http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/wls_main.html will not let you download Weblogic.
An alert box pops up saying you have to accept the license agreement to download and this alert appears even if you do select the Accept License Agreement radio button.
This occurs in both FireFox and Safari.

I have the same problem with WebLogic Workshop. I'm trying to download it from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/workshop/index.html
This brings me to this URL: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/bea_main.html#devtools
And on this page I see:
An error occurred while processing the request. Try refreshing your browser. If the problem persists contact the site administrator

  • Flash Player download page broken?

Having successfully updated Java I have repeatedly attempted to update Flash Player. Whatever route I take to the download page, the "Download & Install" button is always missing.
Firefox 19.0.2, NoScript set to allow Adobe.com - sucessfully or the Java download page would have been kaput, ofc.
    Please fix your website.
    Regards
    T.

Maybe it is incorrect but that is the only URL that Adobe's website routes me to. Since your reply I have tried (safter clearing the cache and the cookies)
Adobe.com > Download > Adobe Flash Player [in the dropdown menu]
    and via
Adobe.com > Download [page]  > Get Flash Player [leftmost/uppermost of the 4 boxes on the LHS of the page].
Despite these and access via other routes through Adobe.com over, now, several hours, I have only seen this page and have never been redirected.
Please post what you belive id the correct URL, I will be pleased to try that.
PS I just checked the Shockwave player page (which I installed successfully after multiple attempts to download Flash Player - without any cache-clearing, etc.) & that displays the download button correctly.

  • Flex SDK downloads page broken

    Hey ninjas,
It looks like some image rendering library is borking the SDK downloads page and I could really, really, really use that latest build right now...

  • Trial Download Page Broken?!

    At...
    http://www.apple.com/aperture/trial/
...it states "To agree to these terms, click the "Request Serial Number & Download Aperture" button, and you'll be taken to a page where you can download the 30-day Aperture 1.5 Trial."
...I see no such button ANYWHERE on the web page!! Just the text boxes for my info. I have tried reloading, and no help.
Any ideas how to download the files and get the serial number?

  • Oracle XE download broken

Hi, the Oracle XE download is broken on page:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/express-edition/downloads/102xelinsoft-102048.html
On doing a 'fetch' to the server (like wget) I get error " http://download.oracle.com/otn/linux/oracle10g/xe/10201/oracle-xe-univ-10.2.0.1-1.0.i386.rpm: Moved Temporarily".
It also does not work downloading to local machine - I get "could not read source".
Please can Oracle sort this out?
Or is there another safe and legitimate download location?

    Thanks for response.
Yes, I have a good internet connection - the first from my remote server (running FreeBSD 7.3) and second from my Windows machine / broadband.
I followed your link. Click on the 'Linux x86' link and it takes you to the same page.
I just tried it again and got the same response. I really do think there is a problem here!
There are various other sites offering the download but they look a bit dodgy - I would much rather do it legitimately!

  • So I can update my Oracle Java Applet Plug-in to Development Kit 7, Update 65, can you link me to the correct Oracle download page from your Plugin Update page?

When I periodically accessed your Plugin Check and Updates web page in the past, I really appreciated you connecting me to the correct Plugin Updates vendor web page when I clicked on your red Update Now button. This time, however, your Java Applet Plug-in "Update Now" button linked me to the Oracle Java "7u65 Updates Release Notes" instead of the usual download page. It seems rather unexpected for me, or any other conscientious user for that matter, to search the appropriate "JDK 7U65" file download from the Oracle website.
    Thank you,

This is getting way too complicated for normal peop.
First: the "Update Plugin" does not work, it goes to a page with all sort of computer jargon but no "Update button" anywhere.
Second: this forum jscher2000 gives a good solution, but I downloaded the incorrect java update, because my computer is 64 bit. how am I supposed to know my browser is what it refers to and that FF is 32 bit.....???$%^&*()??
Third: some of those "critical update" software are not even on my computer....well at least I don't think it is, I search for "shockwave" and did not find it.
I love Moz FF but the updating is starting to get out of control. why give us (computer idiot) an auto recommendation update not tailored to our computer? Perhaps in big letters at the top there should be an explanation "this is general suggestion these plugin needs updating, not to tailored with your computer, do your own research"
and/or add info I need to know like the 32 bit thing, took me forever to download the 64bit update for JAVA and it was the wrong one.
Now I am just afraid to update anything for FF because it is too darn confusing.

  • Linux Download Page appears broken.

    Hi.
I've been attempting to download Skype for Linux.
I can get to the download page with no problem.
I'm presented with a list of Linux distributions, from a pop down list.
This is as far as things go.  No download commences, and there is no download button.
I've tried 5 different Internet browsers so far, and I have the same response from them all.  The Linux download page is behaving like a facade with nothing behind it.
    Any ideas?
    Solved!

Why does this have an "Accepted Solution"?  That is not the solution, it's an incorrect assessment of the problem.
I've got the same problem here, so have many others.  There are no network restrictions my end, no proxy in use.  The download page only allows selection from a drop-down but performs no action after selection.  The site code is broken.
Also Ubuntu 12.04 is the latest version offered?  That's 2 years old.  the latest LTS (Long Term Service) release of Ubuntu is 14.04
Ditto that. And, as usual, no one from the skype itself is listening.

  • Oracle 10g (10.1.0.2) for Linux x86 missing from download page?

    Hello,
Why isn't there a download link to Oracle 10g (10.1.0.2) for Linux x86 on the 10g download page?
And what's the difference between 10.1.0.3 and 10.1.0.2?
    Thanks

  • "Download firefox" page broken on osx

Apparently your site can't recognize its own browser -- going to the download page in firefox on mac osx gives me a windows exe (and there's no option to select a download for another platform, which is a huge oversight).
Not a big deal since it works on chrome/safari, but there's a lot of other sites that seem to have similar issues (misidentified browser, js failing to load for some reason or another, etc –– sites break, and I don't know why). I'm a long time firefox user, but I've started seriously considering switching over to chrome (most of my web dev friends have already, and the stupid ui changes haven't helped).
    Mozilla, please fix your shit.

hello, could you go to the firefox ''menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information'', copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

  • All Studio 10 and 11 Download Sites broken

seems all the download links on the oracle sites are broken and point in circular motion or to a paysite.
I need the Studio 10 compilers from the software Archives for compiling our software on my sparc machines running solaris 9 and 10, and went happily on with my saved sun links... or so i thought. They sent me to Oracle... so far, so good, but... the Oracle Download Pages supposed to get me to the solaris content send me through the Oracle Maze in circular motion. No way to get to the sun software archive that HAS to be here somewhere, according to oracle...
Then I tried the Studio 11 download ( not sure if it works for me though ) from the oracle download pages but here i go carouselling again.
    Now I am dizzy.
If i dig in deep and try to go to the downloads from the sun archives, Oracle is asking me a support identifier, which i obviously only get if i pay, as far as i found out...
and if i try to get the studio 11 i get fooled in circles.
    help!

With the acquisition of Sun, by Oracle, the Oracle Solaris Studio (frmly, Sun Studio) site has moved to the Oracle Technical Network (OTN):
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solarisstudio/overview/index.html
You can download the latest release, Oracle Solaris Studio 12.2, here as well as a few older releases. The Sun Studio 11 download page has a link to a page explaining the download changes for older Sun software. That page has a link to the Sun Archive, which is available in My Oracle Support (MOS) for Oracle support customers:
    https://support.oracle.com/CSP/ui/flash.html#tab=KBHome(page=KBHome&id=()),(page=KBNavigator&id=(from=BOOKMARK&bmDocTitle=Sun%20Archive&bmDocID=1302856.1&bmDocType=ANNOUNCEMENT&bmDocDsrc=KB&viewingMode=1143))
Sun Studio 11 is available in the Sun Archive. Sun Studio 10 can be made available via a request to Oracle Support.
