Oracle XE on Red Hat Enterprise Server 3.0

I have installed XE on Red Hat ES 3.0 and of course some problems has occurred. I have read some of the threads here in this forum and it has been a little help, but not enough. I have changed the name of the database from XE to platon and therefore Oracle looks after a init-file with the name initPLATON.ora. I have created a file with this name and initiated the parameter spfile=usr/lib.../dbs/spfileXE.ora
The problem is that the database does not start. And I can't loggon with conn / as sysdba, because I (root) don't have enough priviligies. For the moment I am not nearby the server, therefore I cannot attach some information to you, for this I will get back. Maybe you have a solution for me anyway?
From SQL-plus prompt it looks like this:

It did not work out, so I deinstalled Oracle XE and started all over again.
Now it seems that the parameter file and control files are missing. I have copied the example file init.ora and renamed the copied file to initXE.ora. I have also changed the parameter values, db = xe, for example and increased the SGA area ( I was prompted to do that when starting the database). Now I could login as sys, but the control files are missing. Here are some information.
From SQL-prompt:
