  • Oracle XML Report Completes in Warning

    Hi,
    I have a report which has a column called Days Left which needs to be highlighted if the Days Left value is 3 or less than 3.
    I have written the following code.
    <?if:DAYS_LEFT<=3?><?if:CLOSE_FLAG='N'?><xsl:attribute xdofo:ctx="block" name="background-color">red</xsl:attribute><?end if?><?end if?>
    But the report completes in Warning and gives no output.
    Then I modified the code to :
    <?if:DAYS_LEFT<='3'?><?if:CLOSE_FLAG='N'?><xsl:attribute xdofo:ctx="block" name="background-color">red</xsl:attribute><?end if?><?end if?>
    then the report completes in Normal and gives output, but the Days Left are highlighted for Days Left values more than 3 also..
    Please help me resolve this as soon as possible.
    We have UAT lined up next week :(

  • Oracle XML reports , Discoverer Reports documentation

    Hi all...
    Can anyone plz let me know whr can i get the documentation for Oracle XML reports and discoverer reports.

  • Oracle Apps.XML reports ending with warning when the report output contains

    Hi I have XML reports. When we run these reports as concurrent program through Oracle Apps. window and if the report output contains special characters(like Chineese data) in between of English, then the concurrent program is ending with warning. If we remove special characters then it is working fine or when we run the report query directly from backend it is working fine.
    We are importing this data from legacy system into oracle apps. and we can't control these characters or decode them with some other charactes.
    Can any one guide me how to get the XML report output with special characters.
    Thanks in advance.
    Chandra Babu Lankipalli.

    Hi Hussein,
    The concurrent program is ending with Warning. It is unable to publish output file.
    For the same when we remove special characters and run the program it is completing and generating the
    output. The log fine is as follows when the data file contains special characters.

    Dear Experts,
    We have upgraded our Application from 11.5.10.2 to R12, 12.1.3. Now in the Upgraded Application we are unable to open/view any of the XML based Concurrent Reports. All the XML Concurrent Reports are ending in Status WARNING.

    **Please suggests:**
    **1- Is there any way to make these XML reports work with Veritas HA, using Virtual hostname**
    **2- Can we identify or pin point from where the Out Put Postprocessor is setting the Physical Hostname.**
    Regards
    Ali Ammar

    Hi,
    The metalink note Output Post Processor Fails Due to java.sql.SQLException: Exhausted Resultset [ID 740529.1], is not related to us, we have already verified that. In our case the Application is running on Virtual Hostname and this virtual hostname is taken care by Veritas Library, ACC.
    Secondly the FND_NODES also shows the Virtual hostname as the application is configured on Virtual Hostname. So in our case its not seems to be comming from the FND_NODES tables, rather it seems that some of the Java files/class is picking it by the OS command uname -a.
    So if we can find that class or environment file of java, we can export the Virtual Hostname as we used it in configuration. Please note that the Concurrent Manager and Application listener are also working fine on the Virtual Hostname, by using the Veritas library.
    Solaris:
    LD_PRELOAD_32=/usr/lib/secure/libvuname.so
    VHOSTNAME=<virtual hostname>
    Please suggest.
    Best Regards
    Ali Ammar.

  • How to open a form from Oracle XML Report .xls Output?

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement wherein we have one complex SQL query, requirement is to fetch the data from that query and show it to the user. So far, so good. We can either create a report thru' UTL file to show the output to the user or can create a XML report whose output can be in the excel format.
    Now user wants to have a hyperlink i.e. when he clicks the BSA (Blanket Sales Agreement) from the report output, it should be able to route him to BSA screen (oracle form), so that he can directly correct the issue with that corresponding BSA on which he clicked.
    i.e. requirement is to create a a hyperlink from report output which will route the user to that oracle form with the BSA queried.
    Not sure how can we implement this. If anybody has come across this type of requirement, please share your ideas and the approach used so as to accomplish this. Any inputs on this will be highly appreciated.
    Cheers!
    -Sumir

    Hello Sumir,
    we create reports in an XML format using http://matzberger.de/oracle/spreadsheet-en.html.
    Within these files you can create hyperlinks to a forms application like
    http://<applicationserver>/forms/frmservlet?config=xy&p_autoinit_module=ab&p_autoinit_arg=123
    With these parameters we call a default forms module (welcome screen) and then start module ab and execute a query for 123. The user then can directly access the data he needs.

    Hi Chandra,
    There might be a problem with your .rdf.
    Please check the formula column and use srw.message functionality to debug.
    And please enable Trace option while you are running the report.
    So that you can get more info about the errors.

    This particular failure in the ITS generally crops up because you have disabled or end-dated some customer-related data between order entry and shipping. Look in particular at the salesrep and any customer items on your order(s) to ensure this doesn't apply.
    Another possibility is that you have a tablespace issue - try working through the following notes on MOS:

  • How to print Barcode data in Oracle XML Publisher Report

    Hi,
    We have an rdf report which prints Bar code in the starting page based on a custom procedure from MarkView. It works well with Oracle Reports.
    But since the current report was a matrix report, we are changing it to a Linear report through Oracle XML Publisher Report.

    Can anyone help me on this? We have UAT dates around the corner..
    We have an RTF Template .
    Help asap.

  • Unable to load Oracle XML SQL utility

    utility into Oracle using the oraclexmlsqlload
    script:

    Error while resolving class OracleXMLStore
    ORA-00904: invalid column name
    Does anyone know why we would receive this error?
    Platform: Hp-UX 11.0
    Oracle Version: 8.1.5.0
    Background information:
    The database was original created with the
    compatible=8.0.5 set in the init.ora file, and
    the creatation of java classes failed due to this,
    so switched compatible to 8.1.0. Now after we
    we adjusted the compatible setting and restarted
    database, we started to receive the errors as
    described above.

    Murali,
    Thank you, after I initialized Oracle's javavm
    the errors disappeared.
    The scripts were located under the javavm/install
    directory.
    Thanks again.

  • TestStand 3.1 XML Reports in TS4.1

    I am trying to implement TestStand 4.1 in our facility as seamlessly as possible. This means I still need to run TS3.1 sequences with no modifications on both systems with TS3.1 and with TS4.1.
    My problem is with the creation of xml documents when run in TS4.1. When we first implemented xml it was on TS2.0 which didn't support xml at the time. So some patch was downloaded from NI I believe and it worked fine. We continued to use the patch when we switch to TS3.1. But when I now run the TS3.1 sequences in TS4.1 the reports are generated, but slightly differently, I cannot view the xml document in I.E. The error is:
    "Required white space was missing. Error processing resource"
    and the offending line(s) in the report are:   <ATMLStylesheetMRU type=" dimensions="[0..2]" decimateBy="0">
      <Element type="" index="[0]" name="ATMLStylesheetMRU" >trml.xsl</Element>
      <Element type="" index="[1]" name="ATMLStylesheetMRU" ></Element>
      <Element type="" index="[2]" name="ATMLStylesheetMRU" ></Element>
      </ATMLStylesheetMRU>
    These lines do not appear in the report if the sequence is run with TS3.1.
    I modified the TS3.1 Process model and ReportGen_XMLseq to use the original "modelsupport.dll" from TestStand 3.1 since the TS4.1 version didn't support some of the commands called. I also changed the report.xsl and horizonal.xsl called from the process model to the TestStand 4.1 versions, but the problem is still there.
    I admit to not knowing exactly how the reports are generated, but I suspect the above lines are there because the API calls are to the TS4.1 engine as it is the active TestStand version. Looking for any sort of help on this one, not that well versed in xml. Am I trying to do the impossible? I don't want to switch the reports to the TS4.1 format at this time, as we have custom software that imports the data and it currently doesn't work with the TS4.1 report format.
    Thanks

    Cabman,
    In TS 3.5 we added a new type of report called ATML. The
    offending lines in the report that you are refering to, is to store
    stylesheet information for this new report format.
    But adding these new properties to ReportOptions should not cause the issues you are describing.
    I
    did notice that the text you pasted is not exactly what we generate in
    TS 4.1.Here is why we generate in TS 4.1 for xml reports
        <Prop Name='ATMLStylesheetMRU' Type='Array' LBound='[0]' HBound='[2]' ElementType='String' Flags='0x0'>
            <Value ID='[0]'>trml.xsl</Value>
            <Value ID='[1]'></Value>
            <Value ID='[2]'></Value>
        </Prop>
    In
    the text you pasted, I noticed that type attribute is empty in all 4
    lines and also the generated XML snippet looks different.
    I am not sure how your XML report was generated,  but that might be the issue.
    In TS 3.0, we introduced a new API called PropertyObject.GetXML which can be used to generate an XML report.
    To help diagnose the problem I have a couple of questions.
    1. Do you still use your TS 2.0 process models or are you using TS 4.1's process models?
    2.
    Can you give me more details of how does the XML report get generated
    in your system? Are you using the 2.0 XML report generation mechaism or
    did you move to using TS 4.1's XML report generator?
