What part of your responsibilities as a DBA is it to determine, by user, the number of inserts by person?

I am happy to say I am not aware of any means of spying on employees built into the database. Perhaps it has been built into the application.

    ====================================================
    PURPOSE
    Introduction:
    <Note:112591.1>
Enterprise
Standard Edition
업그레이드 하기 CATALOG.SQL과 CATPROC.SQL (또는 EE Version 소프트웨어의
    Actions:
Export/Import 를 이용하는 것이다.
Enterprise

  • Enterprise verses Standard Edition

    Hi All,
What is the difference between Oracle 10gAS Enterprise & Standard Editions?
    Thanks.

From the SQL Server installation guide:
    ● SQL Server 2000/2005: Enterprise and Standard Edition
    ● SQL Server 2008: Enterprise (capture or delivery) or Standard Edition (delivery only)
    ● SQL Server 2008 R2: Enterprise (capture or delivery) or Standard Edition (delivery only)

  • SQL server 2008 R2 downgrade from Enterprise to standard edition

    Hello,
we are going to downgrade SQL server 2008R2 from enterprise to standard for a server whose databases are not using any of the enterprise features.
Per the link http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/3079/downgrade-from-sql-server-enterprise-edition-to-standard-edition/ we had made a plan to do so.
However, we are not sure of two points:
    1) Do we need to import the SSIS packages, i.e. after downgrade would all the packages vanish? Therefore what should be done for the Integeration services on this instance?
    2) second would be related to reports configured. Would all the settings in reporting configuration also change? If yes what should be done while downgrading (removing the reporting services as well)
    Thanks, please suggest.

    Hello,
I you copy the old system databases incl ReportServer Db as described in the article then you have all SSIS packages & reports available as before.

  • What is the difference with 1 Lync Standard Edition using VMware Fault Tolerant and 2 Lync Enterprise Edition in a cluster

    Hi
As I will be planning to setup Lync on a virtual environment regardless if it is going to be the Standard or Enterprise edition.
I am thinking if we use 1 Lync Standard Edition for the FE Server with Fault Tolerance enabled, would it be as good as having 2 Lync Enterprise Edition in a cluster?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
the main difference between using Lync enterprise and lync standard is the High availability and scalability feature,
you will get fault tolrance setup with one lync standard edition running on whatever hyper-v and vmware platform, however this will not be an optimum highly available solution for the simple reason that upon a host server failure the image will move
to another available host server and users will lose their active session durin the move process.
on the other hand what you will gain if you the Enterprise edition is that you will have a unique identity to which all lync clients will be connecting and this identity is the lync pool identity which is in the background handled with multiple Front-End
servers and AV conferencing pools, mediation pools and so on.
In additioin when you have multiple front-ends in place, those front-ends will not work in active/passive mode as in a regular cluster, in contrairy all the servers will be active and handeling the work load.
hope i make it a bit clear, if yiu need more info i am ready

Thanks for the response, being a small environment of 300 users, standard edition would be more than enough for me but the fact for HA is very critical for me at this stage. That is why I am exploring the option of using VMware FT.
I don't quick get what you mean on the users having to move to another image as my understanding of FT is in the event of a host failure (not VM failure like bluescreen etc), the VM will fail over to another host with no lost in any ping etc.
So, in theory, the Lync Server VM would never know that the parent ESX host had failed and it needed to failover to another host. Hope my understanding is correct.
    Thanks

  • Weblogic Enterprise or Standard Edition

    Hello there,
Could anyone please advise if it's possible to find out whether you're running Weblogic 11g Standard or Enterprise edition?
There doesn't seem to be any details in the console apart from the version (10.3.1).
    Any help greatly appreciated !

    Hi,
There is only one WebLogic Server software download. Whether you need a WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition or a WebLogic Suite license depends on whether you use the premium components which are included in the WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition or WebLogic Suite licenses.
For WebLogic Server 11g, the packaging is as follows:
    WebLogic Server Standard Edition:
                 includes WebLogic Server
                             Kodo Enterprise
                             TopLink and ADF
                             JDeveloper
                             Enterprise Pack for Eclipse
    WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition:
                 includes WebLogic Server Standard Edition
                              + Clustering
                              +Enterprise Manager Diagnostics Pack
    WebLogic Suite:
                 includes WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition
                              + Coherence EE
                              + JRockit Real Time
                              + Management Pack for Coherence
                              + iAS EE (on WebLogic)
                              + WL Operations Control

  • Enterprise? Standard?

What's the difference between Enterprise Edition and Standard
    Editon?
I've thought Enterprise Ed. would be bigger than Standard, but
    it wasn't.
I wanna know what's the difference between Enterprise Edition
    and Standard Edition
    null

    Mainly scalability and reliability.
Enterprise Edition (in general, not specificly Linux) comes with
more reliability options such as replication and redundancy,
allowing for fault tolerance and/or faster recovery in a
disaster, as well as performance enhancements such as parallel
servers/querying, not to mention the added priviledge of paying
five times as much per user license than workgroup edition. So,
basically, with regular 8i, you lose certain backup and recovery
(point-in-time tablespace recovery, incremental backups, etc)
options, redundancy (standby database, replication, etc) options,
performance (parallel servers/queries, other types of indeces,
etc), security (row-level security, Advanced Security option,
etc) options, plus other misc things.
Certain "pay extra" options are also only be available for EE,
such as the tuning pack, spatial data, advanced security, etc.

  • Downgrade Oracle 9i Enterprise to Standard

    Hi all.
Is there an easy way to downgrade an installed Oracle 9i Enterprise database server to a standard edition without doing a full re-installation?
    Best Regards
    Jacques Riget

    Hi,
i had your issue a few years ago and what I can tell you is that there are ways to upgrade but not many to downgrade. The only one I know is to do an export using exp utitlity on 9i. Maybe you could combine this with a SW version upgrade since 9i is not the latest version.

  • Oracle 10g Enterprise vs Standard Edition performance

For a database hosted on a single machine is there any performance advantage in using Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition over Standard Edition? For our application we do not require data warehousing or OLAP, just the ability to store and query a large amount of XML as CLOBs or using sturctured mapping.
I have looked at online documentation but have not been able to find the answer. Any advice would be appreciated.

Probably not. Unless there is some EE feature you can leverage, there probably won't be a performance difference.

Almost correct. The above mentioned options are in fact
included on the cd, but normally (production use!) you will
have to pay extra money for most of the options.
Using Oracle for Linux is planned to be free for developers,
if you want to drive your enterprise-wide database with
Oracle for Linux you will have to pay the same license fees
as for every other Un*x system. Don't even look at the prices
if your money bag isn't really fat ;-)
