Oracle8i Lite 4.0 gives OIBKND32.DLL page fault

I tried installing Oracle 8i Lite 4.0 on Windows98 and I get
"ORAINST caused an invalid page fault in module OIBKND32.DLL at
015f:00bead01" and installation fails at a very early stage. Any
ideas how I can get it to install?

I'm having the same problems as Dave, and the registry cleanup
solution didn't work. Any other ideas from anyone?

  • Failed client instal (orainst | msvcrt.dll) page fault

I am trying to uninstall the oracle client (all componenets) from a Windows 95 machine and while trying to unistall the process causes an illegal operation and then bombs out. I try to reinstall over the existing installation and I get the same thing "illegal operation". Oraninst.exe is causing a page fault in msvcrt.dll. This is a predictable reproducable problem that occurs everytime I run the installation or try to run the unistallation. I read a microsoft technet document about this problem and updated the C runtime library "msvcrt.dll" to the lates version and continue to get the same error. Anyone else ever see this error. I would imagine it would be quite common?

  • Corrupt oibknd32.dll --need a fix, please!

Trying to install Oracle 8.0.5 using Windows 98 but receiving illegal procedure error. "Invalid page fault module oibknd32.dll." I believe this is corrupt and need a link to a good one. Thanks for any help in advance!

    Thanxs for the input, i realize what the problem is, and this is my code, my main problem is the way i had to code it- i was told to code in the following way;
    1. Create all of your cubelets under a dummy BranchGroup. Create 9 TGs each
with an attached behavior to rotate its children through the "correct" +- 90
degrees. As the user switches between slices you have to dynamically
reparent the cubelets for the slice into the correct TG and deactive the
    other behaviors.
    2. You might be able to use a SharedGroup and a Link Node in each TG? It's
late and my head hurts, so maybe this wouldn't work! This might avoid all
the ugly reparenting that will happen with method 1.
    3. Essentially fake the whole thing. If you are only rotating by 90 degree
steps you are not displaying the (interesting) intermediate rotation from
position to position. Track the position of your cubes using an internal
data structure and just recolor your static 3D representation to give the
impression that the slices have been rotated.i really need some advice with the structure or maybe a clue on the way to go about restructuring - this cubes scenegraph is quite difficult

    Hi,
    I have Oracle8i Lite release 4.0.
I want to create a simple trigger on 8i Lite.
first I created .java file and got the .class file after successful compilation.

    ACC_NO NUMBER,
    ACC_DESC VARCHAR2(20)
Then I issued the command :
    SQL> ALTER TABLE SP ATTACH JAVA SOURCE "JournalInst" in '.';
After that getting the following error :

    I can't understand where I am wrong ?

I just started with 8i Lite, but as far as I know 8i Lite does not support PL/SQL code.
So you have to write your triggers and stored procedures in Java.

Safari 7.0.5 on Mavericks 10.9.4: printing to pdf gives improper formatting (page is cut off on one side). Any suggestions?

I am trying to print from Safari. The problem happens without respect to the zoom level, as I have tried many times with several different web pages, from fully zoomed in to fully zoomed out. It also happens without respect to whether I use the print option (and then specify to print to pdf) or use File>Export to pdf...
Irritating, as the "save as... "option is not foolproof either.
    Any thoughts?

  • Invalid page fault in module cvirte.dll

I have updated two old programs using LabWindows 7.0 which were perviously created with an earlier version of LabWindows. I am having problems though updating a third program. I get an error stating...
Characerization (the name of the program) caused an invalid page fault in the module cvirte.dll at 0167:684b77f5.
The operating system that I am installing these program on is Windows 95.
I'm not sure where this error is coming from but I'm assuming there might be a problem when I build with LabWindows 7.0 and install to Windows 95. But, the previous two programs updated before this one have had no problems at all. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    JuanCarlos,
Thanks for you help. Since I have been getting this error, we did some system monitoring and noticed that when the system crashes, the CPU is running at 100%. It also crashes during debug mode as well. I have been putting in break points to specifically find a location. What we have come down to is that its writes the test information to a file, but crashes when the file is recalled within the program to process some results. As far as GPIB drivers, everything is correctly installed and since we are using old ISA slots, I have made sure there are no IRQ conflicts.
The funny thing is...this exact program works perfectly fine on another station but crashes on this current station! We need both fully functional though.
    Is there a
nything I should look for specifically to tell if its a GPIB problem? Anything specific for CVI problems?
    Thanks for you help!

Then, I have installed Oracle Forms and Reports Release 6i, and from this moment, I get this message : "OCA-30002: ubofscr function not supported".
In the release notes, I can read :
"OCA Release 6.0.5.3.0 is installed for compatibility with Oracle Required Support Files version 8.0.5. If you install newer client tools which upgrade your Required Support Files to version 8.0.5.1, you may experience an error message, "OCA-30002: ubofscr function not supported". To upgrade OCA to correct this problem, copy the OCA605290.zip file from the \WIN32 folder of the Oracle8i Lite CD-ROM, unzip it and follow the instructions in the README.TXT file which it contains."
But on my Oracle8i Lite CD-ROM, there is no OCA605290.zip file from the \WIN32 folder.
    What can I do ?
    null

You could try to "hide" the db-link by creating a local view above the dblink-table.

  • Pressing Enter Button Gives a Blank Page while Cursor is in Text Field

    Hi,
I have a problem on my jsp page that there is a text filed (input type="text") and a button (input type="button") to submit the page.
When page loads the cursor blinks in the text field, and at the same moment if i hit the enter button of my keyboard it gives a blank page.
Here the button on page does not clicked by this enter button, no script calls neither the page submitted to the given url.
Kindly suggest what is going wrong.
    Thanks in Advance
    Rajiv K.

I'd come across this issue a while back: [http://tipsandtricks.nogoodatcoding.com/2007/07/html-single-text-field-submit-caveat.html]; when there is only a single text field in a form, then pressing enter causes a submit with the text-field as the initiator. The submit button isn't invoked. This means any onsubmit actions will not be called. A simple way out is to put in a dummy text field in the form and set it's display to none (using CSS/styling)

  • Invalid Page fault in IMM32.dll on Japanese Win 98

    Hi
First of all, let me say that I'm new to internationalization fundamentals.
My Java application uses i18n.jar for internationalization support(primarily Japanese) and everything seems to be fine on all OSes(Win2k,NT,98,Solaris etc), except that in particular menu options in Japanese version of Win98(m/c has MS-IME 98 running), a Windows fatal error pops up saying "Javaw caused a invalid page fault in module IMM32.dll". IMM32.dll, I understand, is the dll required for i18n support in Windows.
This error comes up if we exit immediately after launching application or when trying to launch new windows for charts etc.
Could you please suggest a workaround or a fix to this issue? What could be the root cause of the problem, I mean, does i18n.jar use the IMM32.dll, or is it just a conflict? Have there been other such cases?
Thanks for all your advice in advance
    Regards
    Santosh

If Javaw is causing the page fault, that's very much a bug in native code (i.e. Windows-only stuff) within the VM.
Search through the bug database on this site, and you'll more than likely find a corresponding bug report for this if it's been around a while and is fairly easy to produce. If you can't find it, submit it - I'm sure the Sun guys would be concerned to hear that Javaw is crashing and burning.
    Hope that helps!
