I am using Oracle Application Server 9i Version9.0.3. I want to download Oracle9iAS Reports Services for this version.
Where can i download it?

Reports is a component of Oracle9iAS Enterprise Edition:

you have to set the IN_PROCESS parameter in the rwservlet.properties to NO to prevent the in-process server from beeing started.

Set report_path Oracle9iAS Report Services on Linux

Hi,
I have a problem.
I'm trying to set Oracle9iAS Report Services on Linux.
I would create an report_path and so I add in <server_name>.conf the following line :
<property name="sourceDir" value="ORACLE_HOME/myReports/rdf"/>
In this mode when I run the report through the URL I must write only
http://.....?report=<report_name>.rdf+........ .
Unfortunately this doesn't happend.
I show this errors :
REP-110: Unable to open file 'xxxxxxx.rdf'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'xxxxxxx.rdf'.
But If I run the report this mode
http://.....?report=ORACLE_HOME/myReports/rdf/<report_name>.rdf+........ .
the report works fine.
Can you help me, please ??

Hope you have not missed out like '$' prefixing to ORACLE_HOME. If you are doubtful you can even give a try with full physical location rather than using environment variables.
Also have you shutdown and restarted the Server in order for the above configuration change to take effect.

Has anyone built a custom engine with 9iAS reports services and got it to work? The document "Oracle9iAS Reports Services Publishing Reports to the Web" suggests to look for API documentation on OTN, but so far I have not been able to find any documentation on developing a custom engine.
Any suggestions/pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Oracle 9i Report service

Does anyone have any knowledge of 9i Report Service? Our intention is to provide web based reporting to our users with ability to control their access and remove their dependency of having connected to the network. We want our users to have global access to our data through the report mechanism and be able to connect to the net and view it from any where any time. I have heard, Oracle 9iAS along with 9i Report Service can perform this task.
Is there anyone who have done similar setup and has used 9iAS. I will be very appreciative, if anyone can share there setbacks and/or transition process. you can send me email directly if possible.

Reports Service failes with 186 error after Disco4i Admin install.

OS NT 2000
DB 8.1.7
9iAS 1.0.2.1
Disco Admin 4.1.33e
Everthing was working fine until the install of Disco4i Admin. It would error on the install until I stopped the Reports Service. Post install - The reports service failed to start. NT specific error 186.
I've performed a TNSPING80.EXE myserver & verified the TNSNames.ora configuration in 806, iSuites, and 8.1.7. Everything looks ok.

If you have set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable or registry key to an alternate value, Oracle9iAS Reports Services may fail to start with an error 186 or REP-0186. In such a case, you can start Oracle9iAS Reports Services from an MS-DOS command prompt as follows:
prompt> setenv TNS_ADMIN <IAS_HOME>/6iserver/network/admin
prompt> <IAS_HOME>/6iserver/reports60_server start
replacing <IAS_HOME> with the directory where you installed Oracle9i Application Server. This will force Oracle9iAS Reports Services to use the tnsnames.ora file at <IAS_HOME>/6iserver/network/admin.

Is there a step by step guide to configuring Reports Services in 9ias 902?
I have installed 9iAS 902 Enterprise Edition on Win2k and wish to test Reports 9i output as a JSP.
Can someone provide any pointers?

I used the Oracle manual "Oracle9IAS Report Services - Publishing Reports to the Web". It was pretty basic and helped me get the report services working just fine.

No, you can't and you can't.
I believe AS 9.0.3 is just the Core software: httpd, oc4j and opmn. And "Reports Services" is not packaged stand-alone, but you can download and install Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 9.0.4 (in a separate oracle home), if you don't want the whole BI package.
Downloads are available in the, eh, downloads section (eg. Oracle AS 10g product center).

I am repeating it here, because the original post was posted so long ago, and I was afraid noone would ever see the reply that I just created. I appologize for the redundant question, but I really would like an answer.
I finally found the time to download and install Oracle9iAS Enterprise Edition
It does not seem to have installed Report Services 9i, which is supposed to be a part of this.
1. Oracle Home does have a "reports" directory, but it only has "admin". There is no "conf", "dtd", etc. There should be according to the docs.
2. There is no such program anywhere on my machine named: "rwserver". According to the docs there should be: http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/90200doc_otn/bi.902/a92102/pbr_strt.htm#1005604
3. The install never gave me the name of the report server. 6i did --- Rep60_<my_pc_name>
4. The Universal Installer, Installed programs "Inventory" does not show anything relating to reports other than "Reports OEM Extension" under "Management Tools"
Do you know what I did wrong? Right now I have an OC4J EJB Reporter component that retrieves reports very nicely via HTTP URL from Reports 6i, and I would sure like to test it out on 9i!

To install Reports, you need to install the Infrastructure (and it's patch) first. And then (in a separate $ORACLE_HOME) the Business Intelligence and Forms Install type.
Did you do these steps in that order?

Rename report service

hi,
I have a prblem with Reports Server 9iAS.
After install of 9ias report definition for service by default is report:rep_ machine name.
When I run may form and I call a report I have this error frm-41213: Unable to connect to the report server rep_ machine name.
In the Oracle9ias forms service doc I read that the report service name cannot have a underscore.
Ok, Can I rename the report service ??? or Can I create another report service and delete the default report service ???
How Must I do ???

I wanted to change it since i thought the login was by the Essbase service name. I realized now its by the computer name ( i always had both with same name).

$100 to the person that can work with me on getting Lightswitch, Telerik Reporting, Azure reporting service working.

I give up. I am not a professional developer however I am pretty good at coding. But I have limitations and do not understand how all the pieces fit together when it comes to WCF, LightSwitch and Telerik Reporting service.
I have spent the better part of the past 5 evenings attempting to deploy a WCF service to my azure account to create reports for my application. I know this should be simple but I cannot find an example that ties all the pieces together.
I have a
working lightswitch application deployed to Azure
20+ working telerik reports created in a separate project (Reports have parameters that is one of the problems)
No way to get the two to talk together.
If you have experience and feel you can help me please respond to this post and I will set up some time for us to work together online.

When you deploy the application to Azure you should be able to hit the WCF RIA Service using:

Reporting Services Webpart - web part does not auto render consistantly

We are on SharePoint 2010 (integrated with Reporting Services)- on several sites we have added the Reporting Services Web Part and with a saved parameter. The behavior of this web part is not consistent. There are times when I open up a site
and the web part will auto render the report. 5 minutes later I can go into the same site, and the web part does not auto render the report. I have to do edit page, or close and re-open the web site. Has anyone experienced this type of behavior.
I've looked for assistance with this issue on-line cannot find anything that specifically addresses this issue.

If the parameters have default values in the report, then the report can be rendered automatically.
For this issue, I recommend to verify the things below:
Does this issue occur when you open the page with the web part in a new tab in the browser or go back to the previous opened tab?
Does this issue occur in the server side or client side?
Please add the site to trusted sites in Internet Explorer to see how it works.
Please change another browser to see how it works.
For narrowing down the issue scope, please test with another report and compare the results.

Reporting Services 2008 R2 - SharePoint Integration Mode

Hi everyone,
I installed Reporting Services 2008 R2 in my SharePoint(2013) server and configurated the SSRS to run in SharePoint Integrate mode. But, when I run the command Install-SPRSService in SharePoint 2013 Management Shell, I get this error:
Does anyone know how resolve it ? I search but I didn't get a solution :(

SSRS 2008 R2 isn't supported with SharePoint 2013. You'll need a minimum of SSRS 2012 SP1. In addition, SSRS 2008 R2 doesn't include the cmdlet you're looking for because it isn't a Service Application, rather it sat external to SharePoint.

Reporting Services not able to connect with sharepoint

We have a Sql server instance where we are not able to install reporting services, so what we have done is we have created one more sql server instance on the same server with reporting services.
When we configured reporting services in sharepoint integrated mode and try to connect that web service url in sharepoint we are getting an error in sharepoint central administartion that not able to connect to the reporting services.

are getting an error in sharepoint central administartion”? For example, the detail steps about the action, the screenshot of the action, and what error message you received. I’m not sure which step are you trying to do. And could you tell me the edition of
your SQL Server and SharePoint? It is benefit for us to do further analysis.
