ORACLEWEBROWSET :java.sql.SQLException: No valid JAXP parser property

Hi I have a servlet that reqeusts an xml from another servlet this is the code:
URL host = new URL(url);
HttpURLConnection hostconn = (HttpURLConnection)host.openConnection();
hostconn.connect();
BufferedReader xml = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(hostconn.getInputStream()));
OracleWebRowSet wrs = new OracleWebRowSet();
wrs.readXml(xml);
I get the following error when I try to read the xml document (there is a valid xml document being passed):
java.sql.SQLException: No valid JAXP parser property specified
at oracle.jdbc.rowset.OracleWebRowSetXmlReaderImpl.readXML(OracleWebRowSetXmlReaderImpl.java:138)
at oracle.jdbc.rowset.OracleWebRowSet.readXml(OracleWebRowSet.java:83)
at com.startech.xml.WebRowSetClient.executeSearch(WebRowSetClient.java:65)
at com.startech.xml.WebRowSetClient.main(WebRowSetClient.java:81)
Pls could sum1 help thanks

Hi,
I hope you got rid of this problem by now. I too faced the same problem today while using OracleWebRowSet.readXML. I could able to find a workaround for this problem i.e.
I added the required parser information to System.Properties as below:
Properties p = new Properties(System.getProperties());
p.put("javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory","org.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl");
System.setProperties(p);
and it worked for me.
Basically what OracleWebRowSet's implementation for ReadXML method does is, it performs a look up for SAXParserFactory implementations within the System properties - it then looks for any DOM implementation defined in System.properties; if none of them is available then it raises the exception
java.sql.SQLException: No valid JAXP parser property specified
- I believe this should work for you too. Please let me know if you got rid of this in any other way.
Thanks & Regards

  • JDBC Sender Adapter : java.sql.SQLException: Cursor state not valid.

    Hello all,
    We have configured JDBC Sender Adapter which fetches around 10K records with poll interval 1hr  from DB2 System .
    It was working fine,suddenly it started throwing an exception in Adapter Monitoring :
    Error during conversion of query result to XML: java.sql.SQLException: Cursor state not valid.
    It is not fetching any records.
    Without changing any configurations when we tried to fetch to around 1000 records it's working fine.
    For 10K records same exception persists
    What could be the reason ?How to resolve this issue?

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: End of TNS data channel

    Hello folks,
    Has amyone encountered this exception? If so, could you please shed some light for what might be going wrong?
    Here is my confuguration:
    400MB RAM
    1.2GHTz processor
    Win2K Pro
    Oracle server 9.0.1
    JDBC Thin driver (libs for 9.0.1)
    Scenario:
    My Java code uses Oracle Spatial to insert SDO_GEOMETRY objects into my DB model.
    I have a config file where I store my connection properties, e.g.,
    <DBConnection name="twatest">
    <JDBCDriver>oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver</JDBCDriver>
    <URL>jdbc:oracle:thin:@saturn:1521:saturn</URL>
    <Username>user1</Username>
    <Password>twatest</Password>
    </DBConnection>
    We have 2 schemas defined: user1 and twatest.
    The problem first occured when I switched from user1 to twatest. Consequent attempt to run the process as user user1 failed! The Java SQL statements do not use schemas (so they default, I suppose, to the default schema for that particular user, in our case being user1-->user1, twatest-->twatest).
    The problem happens in the following Java class (search for "HERE" to see where exactly the problem occurs):
    package com.vividsolutions.twatest;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import oracle.sql.*;
    import oracle.sdoapi.OraSpatialManager;
    import oracle.sdoapi.geom.*;

    import oracle.sdoapi.sref.*;
    import com.vividsolutions.twatest.parser.*;
    import com.vividsolutions.twatest.config.*;
    import com.vividsolutions.twatest.model.*;

    My client class calls LakeLoader.loadLake() method in a loop to load a bunch of Lake objects into the DB. The first lake in the list is created without problems, but when the 2-nd lake is being inserted, I get an exception at the preparedStatement.executeUpdate() statement. This happens consistently.
    I tried to find information on this on the net, but seems that this problem only happened when people dealt with LOBs?!
    Thank you very much!

    Suresh -- I'd probably log a TAR with Oracle support for this question if you definitely need it resolved. Support have access to all manner of existing cases, so this may be something they have seen before.

    Hi Ria,
    In your input try to make the access tag in capitals(ACCESS) and try. I am not sure though. I think its case sensitive. Just try and let me know. Also your second action="EXECUTE" does not has any access parameters. Refer to this blog:

  • JDBC Receiver adapter-java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00904: "BATCH_ID": invalid

    Hi
    I am trying insert rows in Oracle database using JDBC receiver adapter setup in PI 7.1. However this receiver adapter is throwing following exception.
    Delivering the message to the application using connection JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'PRADEEP_OTC_ORDERS' (structure 'statement'): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00904: "BATCH_ID": invalid identifier .
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ns0:mt_sql_writer xmlns:ns0="http://rdbms_poc">

                <table>PRADEEP_OTC_ORDERS</table>

                     <batch_id>132</batch_id>
                </access>
           </dbtablename>
    </statement>
    </ns0:mt_sql_writer>
    PRADEEP_OTC_ORDERS table has just 3 columns as specified the access segment. However I stil get this ORA-00904 error message.
    Any idea on what could be wrong.?
    Thanks
    -Pradeep

    Hi All,
    Thanks a lot for responding...
    I verified the table structure, table just contains those 3 coulms all varchar type.
    I modified the column name as well, But was still getting ORA-00904. Then I went directly to the the database and executed below insert statement,
    insert into PRADEEP_OTC_ORDERS (mps_order_id, mps_version,mps_batch_id) Values(1,2,3)
    I got exact SQL Error: ORA-00904: "MPS_BATCH_ID": invalid identifier.
    So ISAP JDBC adapter is not enclosing the string values in quotes.
    SAP documentation says it puts quotes for values and treats everything as string(text).
    Anybody has any idea, why JDBC receiver adapter not enclosing the values in quotes?
    Thanks
    -Pradeep

    I have created ADF projects using the same database (Oracle XE) and they work fine. Its only this composite, which is complaining of "No suitable driver" exception.
    I found a post very similar to mine -&gt; Composite is failing
    So I went and checked my parameters. Here's what I found:-
    SQL&gt; show parameter sessions
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    java_max_sessionspace_size integer 0
    java_soft_sessionspace_limit integer 0
    license_max_sessions integer 0
    license_sessions_warning integer 0
    logmnr_max_persistent_sessions integer 1
    sessions integer 170
    shared_server_sessions integer
    SQL&gt; show parameter processes
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    aq_tm_processes integer 0
    db_writer_processes integer 1
    gcs_server_processes integer 0
    job_queue_processes integer 4
    log_archive_max_processes integer 2
    processes integer 150
    So parameters is not the issue here.

    I ran the sample that you pointed out and unfortunately got the same error in the log: "java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver" along with a bunch of others as well. You will have to scroll down to see the No suitable driver exception.
    But here's the weird part - the output is as expected: VALID and INVALID depending on the Credit card number I supply. Which means the database is reachable.
    The only difference is that the example performs a SELECT operation, whereas I am trying to perform an INSERT operation. Also I have a for-each node in the XSL and I am inserting multiple records from an XML to the Database.
    Here's the log for your inspection:

  • Java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899

    Hi All,
    I am working on IDOC to JDBC scenario.We want to POst the data from SAP to Oracle Data base. So i have used the hasQuot for Date elements.http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2002.I [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] am getting the below error in the receiver JDBC channel.
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. XXXXXX (structure 'Statement'): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "HRCORE_D"."HRP1007"."BEGDA" (actual: 9, maximum: 8).
    In the XML i m able to see only 8 characters for BEGDA field. I have used trim function before each block in the Mapping.
    <BEGDA hasQuot="No">TO_DATE('2011-08-22','yyyy-MM-dd')</BEGDA>
    Please let me know the solution for this.
    Thanks,
    Soumya.

    The error shows that you are sending the value more than declared for that date field in the table.  You send the field value size more than 8 characters. You actually send 9 characters. This is purely backend error. Java trim method will remove only blank space on the leading and trailing.

  • Java.sql.SQLException: invalid name pattern:schema.file_import_nestedtable

    Hi all,
    I am trying to insert an array in nested table to another table. I have a nested table by the name 'file_import_nestedTable'.
    code for object 'file_import_obj'
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE file_import_obj AS OBJECT
    column_1 datatype,
    column_2 datatype,
    column_n datatype
    and for nested table 'file_import_nestedTable'
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE file_import_nestedTable as TABLE OF file_import_obj
    I have a package in place and it is valid.
    The problem started when I tried to use the weblogic pool connection to call the procedure. But this was overcome by using the Oracle connection i.e another pool and not the weblogic's own connection pool.
    But now I'm facing this exception when I try to use the ArrayDescriptor.
    java.sql.SQLException: invalid name pattern: PFEP.file_import_nestedTable
    Here is my code...
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@myserver:1521:ANSD","user","password");
    // its throwing exception here.
    ArrayDescriptor desc = ArrayDescriptor.createDescriptor("file_import_nestedTable",connection);
    ARRAY arr1 = new ARRAY(desc,connection,strArrHeaderBodyData);

  • Unexpected exception : java.sql.SQLException

    I tried to execute a query by reading it from the console and passing it as an argument to executeQuery( ) method.
    It is giving the following error message

    at assignment1.main(assignment1.java:63)
    Can anyone help me to get rid of this error.
    Thanks,
    Suma

    It's telling you that the query you read in from the console is not valid SQL, in particular that there is an error somewhere in the FROM clause of the query. To solve this problem, only type valid queries into this program. Or if you can't guarantee that -- and you can't -- report the error to the person typing in the invalid queries.
