OracleXE + XMLDB + WebDAV + Vista: How?

I'm looking at XMLDB on OracleXE on a Windows Vista (Home Premium SP1) machine.
I've got XMLDB working via the HR schema, with an XML view of the EMP table, and I can view data extracted from the XML view via a virtual folder in my browser at: http://127.0.0.1:8080/public/testXMLDir/
So far so good.
But I can't see how to copy stuff into my /public/testXMLDir/ folder via WebDAV. If I try to map a network drive to http://127.0.0.1:8080/public/testXMLDir/ I just get a Windows error telling me "The network name cannot be found". UAC is turned off on my machine, and I can access the folder fine via the browser, but of course I can't drag-and-drop files into the folder via the browser, which is why I want to use the WebDAV interface.
Can anybody tell me what I need to do to get this working?

To create a WebFolder in Windows 2000, follow these steps:
Start > My Network Places.
Double-click Add Network Place.
Click Next.
Type the location of the folder, for example:
http://Oracle_server_name:HTTP_port_number
See Figure 28-2.
Click Next.
Enter any name to identify this WebFolder
Click Finish.
You can now access Oracle XML DB Repository the same way that you access any Windows folder.

Hi - Vista can be tricky - I need more info to see if I can be of some help - first, is the Vista machine a desktop or a laptop and is it fully up to date with Windows Update (sp2 or higher)? - next, are you trying to install Airport Utility version 5.5.3 which is the correct one for Vista? - and finally, what do you mean "it will not install" - what kind of error messages or evidence are you getting?

I cannot find the .muse file, I have a lot of muse files but I cannot retrieve any information as they wont open in vista. when i search muse on mu comp I cannot find .muse files.
When I right click the icon I can send files to a memory stick, about ten file folders from assets to welcome, plus muse application 382kb and muse on air 6152 kb it is a ten page site with lots of images.
Once I get to my windows 7 pc I copy from the memory stick and paste the files into the muse file on my c drive
It looks like it is starting to open but stops, not recorded on tack manager as running bug muse logo freezes on screen.

Error code 2131 on windows vista, how do i fix it

i can no longer burn cd's from itunes. I get error code 2131 when trying to do so. I operate on dell with windows vista. I ran a diagnostics and everything seemed to check out:

Check the compatibility tab on the site as far as I can see your Dell model is in the list assuming your sig is correct.

You need to repartition the drive. While booted from the DVD, select Utilities > Disk Utility from the menu bar. In Disk Utility, select the boot drive from the list on the left. It will have a long name starting with the capacity in GB. Click on the Partition tab. Choose "1 Partition" as the volume scheme. Click on the Options button near the bottom of the window, then click on the button labeled "GUID Partition Table." Finally, click Apply. When the partition finishes, you can quit Disk Utility and go back to the Installer. You should now see your internal drive as available for installation.

Events on XMLDB repository. How ?

is there any way to fire custom logic on the XMLDB repository events from any access protocol (FTP,WebDAV,DBMS_XMLDB)?
(i.e Create/Delete/Modify a Folder/Link/Resource etc)
I don't use XMLType but only unstructured data (CLOB).
If triggers are the solution , on which table/view they should be created ?
Any example ?

Hi all,iv got a psc 1215 running on my vista laptop.Had no problems with using it except how do i clean the print heads & align the print cartridges since theres no tool box etc to use like when i had windows xp?

I'm experiencing the same problem with my Deskjet 960c and Vista OS. I really want to know how to clean the ink cartridges by using the Toolbox, which is inaccessible with Vista. The print quality has not improved with newly store bought HP ink cartridges, so I think they need to be cleaned. Hopefully someone has a solution to this issue.

The fafsa.gov site does not currently support Firefox newer than version 3.6.x. That is their choice.
You can install Firefox Portable version to use only on that site and use your installed Firefox 5 for everything else. Firefox Portable installs in a separate folder on your hard drive so that it does not interfere with your Firefox 5.0.1 settings or personal information (bookmarks, passwords, etc.). You can also install Firefox Portable on a USB/thumb/pin drive.

I tried to update to 3.6.14 but it was unable to install the update & tried a complete update with "patch apply failed" as a result. it is not listed in the 'unistall program" area of my Windows Vista. how do I uninstall and reinstall Firefox?

I have no other issues withmy computer as I have used PC's for years and am quite familar with their operation. teh questions pretty much says it. After attempting to updat firefox is totally unreliable shuttign down eityher after a few seconds or a few minutes never longer. I curently have version 3.6.13 and the update for 3.6.14 will not install due to a " patch apply failure" as mentioned. I have Windows vista currently and use firefox for the online assignments I do with school, least amount of compactablity issues.

BC 2.1 install on Vista - How to...?

I have now read for weeks about the error of installing the BC 2.1 update in this forum. I'm having the same troubles - can't update my Vista.
I have tried tips and hints from all earlier posts in here - for XP - for hints of changing in Regedit keys from 406 to 409 and back - changing for language 1030 to 1033 and back etc. - nothing helps. I can now see that some of the earlier post are marked "Solved" and thats great - except that I haven't found a sollution that helps me in any of these forums.
Also - I'm not sure if any BC responsible from Apple are reading in this forum/posts - that we are thousands that have problems with this update - and that someone from Apple are trying to make a new patch for us?
I have now taken that decision that all I can do is to wait for Apple - that they will release a improved BC update.
I have Vista Ultimate, english version, 32 bit installed on a specific harddrive with BC 2.0 - with a danish white Apple keyboard on a Mac Pro.
Is there anybody out there - that have succeded to install BC 2.1 on a similar system - I would be happy to receive a hint, thanks (while we are waiting for Apple)...

And you probably don't need or won't see any change or benefit from BC 2.1. It seems to work only if you use the torrent download of the 64-bit 2.x drivers.
If you have pre-2008, it would seem EFI32, Apple doesn't officially support 64-bit. But to use more than 2GB RAM, you NEED 64-bit.
I decided to try the 32-bit version, all the older BC stuff was 32-bit anyway, and it does install, but again, doesn't add/change or improve, has nothing to do with SP1.
I thought I had a 64-bit Mac Pro, didn't realize I had the 32-bit EFI and not sure what that even means as end user.

Vista - how do you make iTunes the default player for audio files?

Having started using iTunes on a new Vista PC, I've found that it defaults back to Windows Media as the default audio file player every time the machine is rebooted.
But worse than that, I cannot find any option to make iTunes the default player for MP3 files - under the Vista settings, the ONLY option offered is Windows Media: there is not even a box to tick for iTunes.
Have others found this? Is there any way around this?
(I thought that Microsoft was legally precluded from making these kind of enforced settings now???)

Although I now seem to have successfully made iTunes the default player for audio files, iTunes has started putting up this message:
"The iTunes Music Library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."
A quick scan of the forum shows this problem has come up quite a few times, but I'm far from clear if there is a definitive answer/solution. I am the administrator for the computer. It sounds worrying that the Library file is not being saved - should I be worried?

Elements 4 on Vista - How to make it work.

I've been trying E4 on a Vista based PC. Most of it appeared to work straight off although the splash screen has a black band around it - no big deal.
One thing that didn't work - and there may be others - was sharing images via email. The pop-up windows were blank and E4 hung.
I then run E4 with Administrator Priviledges - which is not the Vista default - and the problems went away.
So, if something weird is happening try running with Administrator Priviledges. You can try this first by right clicking on the desktop icon and selecting Run as Adminstrator ( I think thats the wording as I'm on XP right now). If this works you can make it a permanent option by selecting the Properties option for the launch icon.
