Orange Hue on VPL-HW30ES viewing 3d

Hello all,
I have a projector VPL-HW30ES. Viewing in 2d is excellent !! However when viewing 3d content, I get an reddish-orange hue on the major portion of the right bottom of the screen. Also, the entire picture has a light greenish color -- especially viewing brightly colored pictures.
I bought the glasses : Model number: TDG-PJ1 and also TDGBR250/B. Not sure what is going on here.
I am viewing the movie "THOR".
Is there an issue with the projector?
Thanks!

Hello Sai,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
I recommend you to you check the hdmi cable to make sure its marked "hdmi high-speed" for 3D.  For more information regarding HDMI technology including HDMI cables, visit http://www.hdmi.org.  While I don't think the issue that you experienced when watching 3d is caused by the projector, however, it's neccessary for you to do a factory settings reset as part of troubleshooting process.

Charlie

  • Orange Hue issue on all photos

All of the sudden my CR2 photos ALL have a brown/orange hue in all Adobe products (Lightroom, Bridge, and PS) however jpegs appear not to be effected.  I'm wondering if a color profile has gone wrong but have no idea how to troubleshoot.  Any and all help appreciated.  I'm on Windows 7, have the subscription for all products.  Thx  http://screencast.com/t/707997uDmO

It does look like a monitor profile issue, although I'm not clear on why your JPEGs aren't affected, and we can't see those in the screenshot.  You could try setting your monitor profile to sRGB temporarily http://members.lightroomqueen.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/1137/188/how-do-i- change-my-monitor-profile-to-check-whether-its-corrupted

  • Component Video - Orange Hue

I have connected my Ipod Touch using Apple's AV Component Video Cable to my TV through a Denon AVR-888. Podcasts and Video's are displaying with an orange hue...People on the screen look like they have spent hours in a tanning booth.
When I connect the Denon AVR-888 component port to my DVD player, I don't have the problem, so it appears to be related to the signal coming from the Ipod. Any ideas on the cause, or a solution?

Look at the picture settings on your TV, Try turning your colour down etc, that worked on my tv

  • Z3 orange hue near "return/back" button on bottok left corner

Hi, after 3 days of usage, orangy hue has appeared on bottom right of screen near return button location. I figured this could be ips burn so I ran an rgb app but did not fix the problem. I read that the sony Xperia s had a similar issue with yellow hue that was associated with manufacturing defect that sony replaced many sets under warranty that may have berm relayed to the glue used. Since this location is at a place where the most successive taps occur,I'm thinking the z3 may have a similar physical defect due to adhesive failure or chemical / thermal interaction with the glue... Please advise... Your thought are welcome.

You should try contacting Sony Xperia support http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/

  • External display orange color hue

No matter how I calibrate the colors my external display always has an orange hue.

Have you tried another display? If you did and it still does it, I would say you may have a hardware problem with your logic board. Try running your hardware tester once.

To get the orange FF tab, go to View > Toolbars > Menu Bar. This should uncheck the menu bar and give you the orange button.
Panorama is a box made of 4 grey rectangles that should be on the far right, if it isn't after you enable the orange FF tab, right click on anywhere on a tool bar that doesn't have anything on it, and you should get a menu with a list of your tool bars that you can check and uncheck. go down to customize at the very bottom and it will open a window with all your buttons. Find the panorama/tab groups button and drag it onto the tool bar of your choice.
to pin a tab as an app, right click on it; it's an option in the right-click menu.

    Hi sbsproperty,
You can print a nozzle check pattern from the printer to see if all of the inkjet nozzles are dispensing the ink correctly.  To do this, please follow the steps located here.  Once the pattern is printed, please examine it and compare it to the correctly printed nozzle check pattern here.  If the nozzle check pattern did not print correctly, performing at least one cleaning and two deep cleanings may resolve the issue.  To do this, please follow the steps located here.
Should you still experience the issue after performing the cleanings, the printer may require servicing.  Please call or email us using one of the methods on the Contact Us page for further assistance.

  • Clicking Photo Settings Button Changes Hue of image

I have been struggling with this for some time.
When I import a jpg file ( file created from exporting from iPhoto ) to iMovie, it looks fine on the preview window until I click the Photo Settings button. The images hue chages to an orang/red. All I want to do is add the Ken Burns Effect.
At first I thought it was a problem with the iMovie project, as I have done this in the past with no issues. So I created a new project, added just the jpg and attempted to do the Ken Burns Effect on it.. once again the hue changed to the orange/red.
Then I though.. the iMove Prefs must be corrupt. I deleted the com.apple.imove.plist .. or whatever it's called from both prefrences directories ( root and home ) The started a new project again. imported the jpg attemted the Ken Burns Effect.. no dice.. same orange/red hue.
I wish I could blam iMovie and then get some brainy apple engineer to fix it form me, but alas.. other jpg files can be imported and Ken Burns works fine on them.
What is different about the jpg's?
The ones that don't work were actually dv stills made from quicktime pro, that were imported to iPhoto and then exported as jpg.
The one that work were created by the digital camera. ( original format is jpg )
    Strange... eh?
I even tried opening the exported jpg file with apple preview and saving as a psd, and use that in iMovie.. but I still get the same orange/red hue change when I bring up the Photo Settings dialog in iMovie.
    Why does this happen?
    How can I fix it?

    Just a side note..
I just discovered that I do not have the problem on my PowerMac G4 450 that was upgraded to 1Ghz Sonet Chip. I believe the Key is my Graphics Card.
My Graphic Card in my Old Mac is 32 Meg Radeon card. ( does not support Core Video )
This makes me believe that he proble is deeper that the iLife apps. I believe the issue is with Apple Core Video and how it handles images.
Without Core Video, my images no longer get the red/Orange hue in iMovie.
Some more tests are needed, but at least I have a work around for now.

  • IMac screen looks yellow/orange from 45 degree angle

Hi, yesterday I bought a 20" iMac 2.4 Ghz and the screen looks yellow/orange from a 45 degree viewing angle (as if looking through yellow glasses). I don't remember seeing this in the shop and am heading down this morning to check it out. Are other people seeing this too?

    Tony McGrath wrote:
Well I dropped down to the shop and the 20" did have the yellow, but not as extreme or kick in as soon as mine. The 24" was almost normal, only a bit of yellow when almost at 90 degrees from the front.
I will have another look at the color calibration tonight but am not hopeful. This baby may be going back to the shop!
The 24" won't have the Yellow Tint that the 20" has, because the LCD panel used is a far superior panel to that in the 20".
However, what the 24" does appear to have though, is a left to right gradient issue, where the left hand side is really bright and the middle and right hand side of the screen tends to be darker, giving a white or light grey background a sort of Yellow tint to the screen. This is seen from sitting straight on and just turning the brightness down.
Most people say they can't see it, but so far, I have seen around 20 24" iMacs that all have this fault from various locations.
It's a shame really, because I really want to buy a new 24" iMac, but not with this faulty screen.
As for the 20", from the screens I have seen so far, they also have a fault, where the bottom of the panel tends to wash out the bright colours, such as can be seen on the docking bar. Just check these forums and you'll pick up the stories.

  • Photoshop CS5 - Red showing as orange-ish colour

    Hi Guys,
I'm having a weird issue with photoshop....my RGB is set to adobe 1998 (proof is the same, but I'm not using it).
The colour red 255, 0, 0 is showing as an orange of #FF5301 (when I go to preferences, it shows as proper red again in the tools palette, close it, it reverts to the orange hue). Also, when I do a "save for the web" the preview image is proper red again.
Any ideas what may be causing this? It seems to have happended very recently.
    v12.0.1 x64 on win7/x64

A corrupted monitor profile can cause an incorrect color display.  I don't know why it should have changed for you, though.
Have you recently calibrated/profiled your monitor?
If using Windows 7, do this:
    1.  Click the Start button and type Color Management into the Search box.
    2.  When Color Management comes up, click it.
    3.  In the Devices tab, is your [ ] Use my settings for this device box checked?  Is a profile listed in the list?
When you say "my RGB is set to adobe 1998", I assume you mean your preferred working space is "Adobe RGB 1998" in the Edit - Color Settings... dialog.
What is the document profile of the image you're editing?  Does this happen with a brand new canvas, created right in Photoshop?

  • Optimize Video, Full (Original Size) - What Does It Do?

I've recently noticed that some of the video I've imported into iMovie '09 is "optimized" and some isn't. What's the difference?
Specifically, what does the action "Optimize Video - Full (Original Size)" actually do? If the video can already play in iMovie, and is clearly compatible with it, why does it need optimizing?
    Once you optimize a video, you can't de-optimize it, right? It's a one-way street.

There is an advantage to having the optimized video: At least on my computer, it plays significantly more smoothly, and it scrubs better, too. Here's what I found for an 8.1 s clip from my iPhone 4:
Original file: 10.5 MB, 95% CPU when playing.
Optimized Large: 37.6 MB, 51% CPU
Optimized Full: 56.9 MB, 47% CPU
With the original file, the viewer is jerky when it's playing, and the red scrub bar has trouble keeping up with the mouse. With the two optimized, the viewer is smoother (but not perfect), and the scrub bar keeps up with the mouse pretty well.
I don't understand why the original is so jerky in iMovie when it plays perfectly in QuickTime. I've always had problems with jerky video in iMovie.
I will also mention another point of interest: I have compared video from my iPhone 4 with video from my Sony HDR-HC5 HDV video camera, a pretty decent HD camera that records on mini-DV tapes. I was surprised to find that the iPhone video is markedly sharper. It really looks significantly better. I will probably be taking more video using my phone now, instead of always lugging around the video camera.
Downsides to the iPhone video: Not as good in low light. Terrible orange hue in incandescent light (some posters have claimed this might be a defect, as not all phones seem to have this). "Rolling shutter" artifacts. Hard to hold steady, and worries about dropping it since it has to be held in an awkward way.
Still, it'll be great to always have a high-quality (in outdoor light, at least) video camera close at hand.

  • Problem with displaying any picture at all.

Hi there, one of my iMacs has a problem with displaying video.
When I turn the computer on the screen shows a yellow-orange hue in the centre, and it's getting wider across the screen and bright, eventually it turns to a white screen. Now I know for a fact it's nothing to do with the logic board! I can control the computer with remote desktop and dim the screen or make it brighter. My question is, is it the cabling that is faulty or something else?
If it's the cabling, how can I open the chrome neck and change it?
    Thanks you

Did your testing include utilizing a second display and adapter to see
how a mirrored output of the video would appear; to be sure this item
is isolated to the wiring from the circuit boards to the attached LCD?
There are components within the border of the iMac G4's display which
may affect the image as they wear out and/or fail. The inverter, is one
item that is in the panel along with the backlight and liquid crystal layer.
Removing or replacing the wire harness between these components,
the computer base and LCD panel, is a bit of work. This topic has been
addressed in these forums at one time or another; and a few owners
who contribute here have experience taking these apart. In the past,
getting a known-good display with chrome arm and harness, from an-
other iMac (perhaps one with logic board failure) and combine two,
    was an answer when the complete display & arm were known good;
as this saved a fair amount of work on the upper end. Still, taking the
lower orb shape apart is a significant task; to have it work right again.
The cabling could be faulty; the inverter could be. And there may be
yet another associated component failing which produces symptoms.
Taking apart the chrome arm may not be such a good idea; I've seen
the expanded view of one taken apart by a metal cutting saw, and it
has a big spring inside, and a bit of tension. There also are friction pad
parts inside that loose their ability to hold up the panel, so some owners
sought to replace those to varying degrees of trouble.
There should be a few step-by-step instructions. One of the contributors
to the iMac G4 forums here was Mr Totes; one of his web pages had a
few images of take-aparts he'd done. Other sites had basic stuff, such
as replacing optical drive and hard disk drives, thermal paste, RAM, etc.
If you were able to see the correct system images from a second display
via the VGA adapter cable, in mirror mode, the attached unit certainly is
suspect; and the computer is probably repairable. Otherwise, there is a
video component on the logic board not considered a separate part; and
if that fails, the usual fix is to get a reman logic board or another iMac.
Have fun, whichever way it goes.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Colour Issues when Printing T-Shirts

Printing logos onto black t-shirts - the logo is red but comes out orange when finally printed onto shirt.
Any ideas if theres a particular red I can set it to to take away that orange hue
Apologies if this is a stupid question but Im really struggling

    Hi Houdidontblog,
This problem could be caused by "out of gamut" viewing, usually caused by over-saturation of the color. Try printing in "Relative Colorimetric" as the easy fix. If that doesn't work, try lessening the saturation levels.
    Thanks

  • Imported photos immediately have colors "off"

Probably a very simple problem, but I have just installed the program for the first time and do not yet know my way around it. But when I pull photos in from my digital camera directory, they immediately display a warmer orange hue. However, I have not touched any of the settings at all. If I immediately export the photo, it matches the original on my HD. So there seems to be some kind of calibration problem with the real jpeg colors and the colors on screen in Lightroom. What can I do about this?
    FURTHER DETAILS:
When I hit IMPORT and have the photo selection window come up, all the colors are fine. When I select a photo and actually import it, the colors are orangey. Where the heck is this change of color coming from? All I have done is install the program! I haven't adjusted anything.

If your immediate exports are exactly the same as the original import then it’s unlikely you are applying an import preset (because the preset would be applied to the export). Is the colour cast apparent when opening the files using other image viewing applications e.g. Photoshop, Windows Gallery etc.
If so, then this may be a monitor colour management issue (Control Panel > Display Settings > Color Management).
If not, and this only happens in LR, then check Camera Calibration in the Develop Module. If your images do not have an embedded colour profile, then LR will select one e.g. Adobe Standard, Camera Faithful etc. Perhaps one of these causing the cast.

  • How to create a "Custom Color" for highlighting? (Acrobat XI)

    March 10, 2014
How to create a "Custom Color" for highlighting? (Acrobat XI)
The numbers in the RGB and other fields change as various numbers are changed.
I wanted to create a pale orange:
    Hue               13      Red      255
    Saturation   240      Green  177
    Luminosity    86       Blue     140
I'd selected one of the orange squares in the color grid, to display the general orange area of the slider.
I moved the slider to select a pale orange, which generated the above numbers.   Since this wasn't directly available to save to a Custom Color, I tried to  edit the numbers.  Unfortunately, the other numbers changed, making it impossible to actually create a color.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Note:  I used Techsmith's Snagit to show screen shots in a Word document.
When I attempted to browse and upload the file, the error message said "[The content type of this image is not allowed.]"
    OK...what images *are* allowed?
