Orange (UK) iPhone 5 delivery

Hi all
Has anyone who has pre-ordered from Orange had a text advising of delivery tomorrow?
I pre-ordered last Saturday night but the advisor didn't really give me any delivery info other than "As I had ordered the 32GB version it probably would be quite quick as most people had gone for the 16GB".
I've tried calling Orange but all I'm told is "20-30 days and I will get a text the day before delivery" - So far I haven't had any text so I guess a delivery tomorrow is looking doubtful

'We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 21/09/2012'
Just reveived this message from Apple so I would say on Friday the 21st!!!

a. it occurs when I try to synch my iphone with iTunes.
b. I have tested the "Beethoven's Symphony No 9" files that I have found on my iTunes, and my iPhone, as there is a copy of "Beethoven_ Symphony No. 9, _Choral_" folder that is the concert from Bernard Haitink & London Symphony Orchestra;
c. This is where is get weird, a sort of Jack Torrance moment, they only file related to "A clock work orange" is 06 A Clockwork Orange - Ode to Joy.m4p...
So what is happening, and how can I resolve this, as I am not able to synch between my mac and my iPhone....

Check the media source drive for errors.
See also Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows. Not sure it is relevant but can't hurt.
If iTunes is confused about what media is and is not on the device take these steps:
Backup the device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore from the earlier backup.

Hi all
Been using my iphone for a few days and I am absolutely in love with it, best phone I have used since the nokia n95...
anyways, to any orange uk users what I like to know is, how much bars of signal do you get on average with your iphone?
I am asking this because I notice on my iphone i seem to get between 2 - 4 bars outside and while I am at home I seem to get 1 - 3, now before you ask yes I am using a case with the phone.
I have tested the network in my house and outside with a sony erricson K800i and i get full bars EVERYWHERE...
Now does this mean there is something wrong with my phone? or is this normal on orange with a iphone?

I'm on Orange and my first handset would show a full set of bars pre 4.0.1 on 3G. After the upgrade (identified with the larger bars) they switched regularly between 1-2, 1-3 and 1-4 (no matter if i was indoors or outdoors) but never a full 5 set and I live right by a mobile mast (B36). I also use a bumper which was bought at the same time as the phone but this was for protection purposes more than the reception issue which was later established at the 16th July press release.
Although I was kind of happy with that, I did start to notice my battery draining faster and faster even without using it - about 10% per hour - and I put this down to searching for 3G signal. But the drainage started happening when I had full signal and feeding off wi-fi so I booked a genius appointment and got a replacement due to a faulty battery.
The new unit came pre-loaded with 4.0 and I immediately noticed a difference in the signal bars since leaving the store - full set all the way home from Birmingham - so I tested it a few days and all seemed great. I then took the plunge and updated to 4.0.1 and still everything seemed great but not only with the signal bars on and off 3G constantly being at 5 with no or little drops, the battery seemed to be loads better too. Latest stats (yesterday) 1 day and 13 hours standby with 7 hours use after charging on Tues afternoon - pretty good from what I have been reading on the net.
Like you, I also came from a Nokia so I have high expectations (N95 and N96) - and have to say that the reception with orange has been pretty good so far wherever I am with the new handset. No grip of death, no dropped calls, no missing bars (unless it's been buried in my pocket while in a field) and not really any obvious battery issues but then again, it is a bigger device for pumping power round especially the beautiful screen.
My advice would be is to see what the next update brings which should be due within the next week, if it doesn't make a difference, you're still under warranty so maybe go and get it checked out at the genius bar. If you're in it for 24 months like me, you want it to be perfect!

Why does an Orange UK iPhone unlock take 30 days?

Why the difference?
And why when you ask for a PAC number from Orange UK as you approach contract end don't they offer to unlock your iPhone at the same time (for which they charge £20)?

Iphone delivery question

I preordered my iphone 3GS last week (Monday) on apple.com and am wondering why I did not get it Friday or yesterday? I was home all day Friday so I know I didn't miss the delivery.

Orange Unlocked iPhone 1.1.3 - No Problems.

Just upgraded my legally unlocked Orange unit.
No problems, device took the update rebooted.
iTunes told me it needed the new version to activate my phone.
Downloaded the new iTunes, installed it, removed the iPhone from the cradle and reinserted it, got iTunes page saying "Congratulations, your iPhone is now unlocked".
Device seems to be working fine, haven't checked for bugs or glitches yet.
Tried the auto-locate in Maps. Decided I was in Brussels. Which was 506km away.

And after make unlocking ? Or iTunes unlocked this automatically - after update to 1.1.3 or before update ? Warranty and Unlocking... AFAIK... are not related.
It is more likely your Contract with Orange that is getting in the way... in the sense that Orange are not Unlocking the phone.
You can try to contact Apple about this... but Orange control the unlocking.

Experience on Apple iPhone Delivery?????

I ordered my iPhone 6 16GB in Silver on Monday 15th around 11:30am, it's now currently sitting on 'Preparing For Dispatch' with estimated delivery between 30th Sept - 3rd Oct but I have seen on other forums that orders placed on the same day and same estimated deliveries have already been dispatched. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience on Apple deliveries? Thank you in advance.

I wanted a rant and had one - All I really wanted a sympathetic ear to calm me down, so telling me to get out of bed earlier didn't help......thanks for siding with the big guy over the little guy.
I understand the disappointment, I honestly do. Personally, I've never seen an online ordering system that suggested you order something else because quantities of what you want are low. If you ordered from Apple or a carrier directly online, all any of them give you is a confirmation after you place your order, with an anticipated delivery date. You must have received a confirmation pretty soon after ordering and if you weren't happy, you could have cancelled the order and ordered another option.
Again, I'm not "siding with the big guy over the little guy." I do think however, your expectations are a bit unrealistic. But this too shall pass and you'll have your phone soon enough and hopefully, it will exceed your expectations and make you a happy camper. What is it they say? "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait!"

Hi..i had unlocked my iphone4 in version 5.. So i now upgraded it but m in hot water now as my sim is not working in it..it was not JAIL BREAK.. Legally unlocked in a lower version. Now what should i do with it as the shokepr tol me dats its ornge loked

Sorry, but unless Orange authorized your phone's unlocking...it appears they did not...your phone was jailbroken to unlock it.
The only way to fix this is to see if Orange will authorize the official unlocking of your phone.
We can't help you here.

IPhone Delivery options

Hi, I live in Singapore and my wife lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I want to buy a iPhone for her and get it delivered to her place. but there is no online store in bosnia and i am not sure from which apple online store i can make a purchase and get it delivered to her. I want it to be a surprise to her so I can't let her buy one by herself.. can anyone help? or give me more information on how it can be done?

You can buy it on any online store like Amazon. I think they can ship anywhere in the world including in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

IPhone delivery on the 23rd?

Juat got an email from Apple saying that my phone will be delivered on the 23 although, and I quote, "Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date". I did check the FedEx tracking information and it does say that my phone is in Oakland, CA. I am assuming that a lot of other people got this email as well. My question is, is this just an automated email triggered by a FedEx alert to Apple saying that my shipment can be delivered by the 23rd but doesn't really mean anything since Apple will just tell FedEx to hold until the 24th?

No problem here. I have been testing it like crazy. A little buggy but no major concerns here. It works magic. Am happy. I dont have to get a rip me off iphone 4.
For does of you complaining about instalation time, I didn't not experience this at all. It took aboout a min to download and 5min tops to install and that giving I had to back up my over 20gig ipod library.

You can suspend your service but you won't be able to use the US iphone on Orange. The US iPhone is carrier locked to ATT.
