Orange UK N95 original - should v20 be available?

I have an Orange branded N95 original (not 8gb) in the UK on an Orange contract, bought from Phones4U. People keep talking about v20 of the firmware. When I run Software Updater it tells me I have v11.0.026 and that this is up to date. Is something wrong? Should v20 be available to me?

Nokia statement:
You should be aware that Nokia can only release updates for network-branded devices with the approval of that network, this is not a case of Nokia creating delays for the user.
So users, request software update via your network operator, don't blame Nokia!

  • Is there a possibility should not consider available quantity at time of MR

    Sir,
Is there a possibility should not consider available quantity at time of MRP planning?
    Example:
    Available stock: 100
    Planning stock: 100 (MD61)
Schedule line to be generate: 100 Qty (Exclude the available quantity at time of MRP planning)
    regards,
    sampath

    Dear Sampath/Raj,
    1) Move the stock to particular storage location for which you don't want to be consider by MRP
    2) Now go to OMIR t-code, input value as 1 for that particular storage location
    3) Go to MMSC, input value as 1 for that particular storage location
    4) Go to MRP - 4 view Down you can find field Storage location input value as 1
    5) Now run MRP, system will not consider stock of that particular storage location

Read this topic its about them: /discussions/board/message?board.id=swupdate&message.id=24327#M24327
USB Mass Storage is the possibility to use your phone as a simple flash memory without the need of any additional drivers and apps, just plug it to you PC and write/read/copy the data.
UPnP is a something like a Wi-Fi protocol which allows u to view you images or listen to music on a compatible devices (PC, TV, music centers etc) over the air.

  • "BlackBerry PlayBook should not be available in the Republic of Ireland"

DO NOT BUY A BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK IF YOU LIVE IN IRELAND BECAUSE IT WILL NOT WORK AND BLACKBERRY WILL NOT HELP ANYONE IN IRELAND.
HERE'S MY STORY ("HAVE A GREAT DAY!"):
This is the complete message I sent (with a lot of difficulty) to "Blackberry Support" on 3 September 2012:
"I have just received my Blackberry Playbook bought online from PC World in Ireland, where I live. I cannot setup the unit because Ireland does not appear in the list of countries for the Agreement.
In order to register my product I have the same problem: Ireland does not exist as an option. In order to register my product and send this message I was forced to choose "UK" even though I live in Ireland, which is a totally different country.
Please tell me how to get past the Agreement screen on my Playbook."
This is the complete reply I received from "Brad" at "Blackberry Customer Support" (about 6 hours later):
Thank you for contacting BlackBerry Customer Support. We are pleased to assist you.
I'm sorry to hear that you were not able to setup or register the BlackBerry PlayBook in Ireland.
At this time the BlackBerry PlayBook should only be available in Northern Ireland (aka the United Kingdom). The BlackBerry PlayBook should not available in the Republic of Ireland, at present.
If you require further assistance, please feel free to contact us either by replying to this message or by calling us at one of the numbers below.
I will be pending your case for the next two (2) days, at which time I will email you to see if the problem is resolved.
Thank you again for contacting us. Have a great day.

Jarviser, I am simply stating the facts about Blackberry not wanting people in Ireland to buy the Playbook. I know it is hard to believe but, I'll say it again, Ireland is NOT in the list of countries in the Blackberry Playbook setup menu. Therefore it is NOT possible to setup the Playbook as a resident of Ireland. Jarviser, you are totally wrong to assume that the only country not listed is Cyprus and your questioning of my facts is not appropriate.
Yes, it does sound unbelievable but Ireland (Eire, Republic of Ireland, Irish Republic) is also NOT in the list of countries where the new owner can legally register the product. The so-called  "Blackberry Support" is ONLY available AFTER the product has been registered – which is why it was difficult for me to even get a message to "Support" at all.
A few Irish customers may be willing to register using a false address in the UK or another country but, as well as being totally against the moral principles of many Irish people, it would also mean potential legal and practical problems with returning faulty products, guarantees, etc.
On another moral point: Blackberry is selling Playbooks to PC World/Curries in Ireland, knowing that they cannot be legally registered and knowing that many customers will simply not be able to setup and use the Playbooks at all because they can't get past the initial setup and registration process. The only option for many people will be to return the Playbook to PC World/Curries for a refund, after a lot of frustration and disappointment with Blackberry.
As a PR exercise, Blackberry is really shooting itself at a time when it already has lost a lot of customers to rivals and is in serious financial difficulties. Whoever is running Blackberry needs to wake up to the real problems the company is facing, including this dishonest selling of Playbooks in Ireland. Do any of them ever even read these forums?

  • Windows' boot tools (bootrec, bcdedit, etc) should be all available, have GUI versions also

windows' boot tools (bootrec, bcdedit, etc) should be all available, have GUI versions also. and some are very hard to use, especially bcdedit.exe, so some simplification of the complexity is needed or some very good documentation and how-tos in the windows
    help.
having GUI versions of the tools would save a LOT of headache. the GUIDs needed by the program are hard to get, waste time on the user's part trying to find them, and it's generally a very error-prone process trying to use the current toolset to make a computer
    bootable [again].
also, when a computer used to be bootable, but is bootable no more because a critical drive was removed, the BCD and boot sector cannot be rebuilt on the disk that has \Windows on it or any other drive for that matter, from what I have seen, the capability
is just not there or has been disabled. please fix.
XP made the booting process simple. in this case, simpler is better when it comes to computer repair [businesses]. you just edited a boot.ini file and you had a boot sector and some system files and that was it. If I needed to change the config, I could,
with notepad or any favorite text editor, even with a linux [rescue] livecd and a few commands, and the computer was back up and running if before it woudn't boot.

    Have you seen this?

  • Nokia N95 - Software update v20.0.015 for Phone CO...

I purchased my Nokia N95 in the New York Flagship store in July. The phone hasn't really lived up to it's expectations and has been quite disappointing.
I have however been given hope with the v20.0.015 software update. I have just gone to update the phone however it is saying that the latest firmware is v12. This phone is unbranded, unlocked and purchased from your flagship store. I would like to know when the new software will be available for the phone CODE:0548763 so I can make my original investment of $812 work like it should have out of the box.

What´s the thing with my code?
Yep, the same code as mine and no update.
Have mailed Nokia about it but no answer, absolutely nothing at all from them.

  • N95 - Original Wired Headset & Voice Dialling

    Hi All,
I use my N95 with a Bluetooth headset when I'm out and about, and also with the original wired headset (while at work, in my holster, hidden away under my jacket)...
Obviously voice dialling is a huge advantage for a hands-free solution, and it works perfectly with my Bluetooth Headset, but refuses to work at all with the wired headset... Once I press the button, it just bleeps at me and goes back to standby...
Has anyone else experienced this or discovered a solution? If not, I'll submit it to Nokia and hopefully they can do something about it.
    Nokia History: 3110, 5110, 7110, 7110, 3510i, 6210, 6310i, 5210, 6100, 6610, 7250, 7250i, 6650, 6230, 6230i, 6260, N70, N70, 5300, N95, N95, E71, E72
Android History: HTC Desire, SE Xperia Arc, HTC Sensation, Sensation XE, One X+, Google Nexus 5

Looks like I might have this sorted. Got a response from Nokia to my 2nd email (replied within a couple of hours - much more impressed) and it appears my headset might be faulty as it should initiate the voice dial function.

  • Deployment should deploy additional available stock to one particular locn

    Hi,
In case of Supply more than demand (Push scenario), there's a requirement to deploy additional availlable stock quantity to a one priority location, after requirement for other locations have been met.
Any idea how we can do that. I looked at different push rule but could not figure out if one can meet requirement.
    Sceanrio detail is as follows
    Supply location - A (Stock available - 100)
    Demand Location - B  (Demand - 30)
                                C (Demand - 40)
Available additional stock, after meeting demand - 30 should also be deployed to location B and nothing should be kept at supplying location - A.
    Thanks
    Sharad

    Hi Sharad,
There are many ways of handling this requirement.
Your requirement is to deploy the excess stocks.  Until there is future demand, these cannot be deployed.
    1) You can try using push distributions such as Pull/push rule, Push by demands and Push by quota.  In all these cases, the pull deployment horizon should be very high so that it will consider the demand in future for deployment.
    2) Simple way is once the normal deployment is over through system, the excess stocks can be downloaded and creating stock transfer orders manually through me27 t-code in R/3
    3) Keeping the pull deployment horizon very low, carrying out normal deployment, and after that carrying out deployment with increased pull deployment horizon and carrying out deployment only for that location where excess stocks has to be pushed.(using t-code /SAPAPO/SNP02 - Deployment  or /SAPAPO/DPLSPLIT - Prioritize Deployment Stock Transfers )
    Please confirm.

Sadly, yes.  The iPad application and Mac application are different programs.  Buying Keynote for iPad does not also give you Keynote for MacOS.

  • N95 V.20 Firmware Not Available (Singapore)

Seen all the forums, all those with product codes that has 054xxxx are unable to update for the time being.
Today i had asked staff from Nokia Care at Singapore, they told me that the latest firmware for N95 is v.12.
Plus,hxxp://www.nokia-asia.com/A4707379,this Nokia-Asia web page doesn't has any N95 latest firmware news.
Any one from Singapore can update their N95?

Why all this meaningless question. I have product code xxxxxx and why isn't the update available for me, and does anyonw know when it's gona be available.
I'm pretty sure no one here has the answer. You just have to wait and se and use the NSU to check when it becomes available.
Look at the thread and several topics. All the same question:
"I have... why isn't it available..."
Stop asking this meaningless question on this forum. You will to 99.999% chans not get answer. Use the NSU and check regulary.

  • I've recently changed my network provider. iTunes recognized the new number and amended it in iTunes. My original number is now available but iTunes won't accept it or allow me to change the number on the device. How can I resolve this?

    Hi Guys
I have just changed my telophone provider in the UK from )2. To transfer the number, which I wanted to retain, took 24 hours and I was given a new number by the new provider Virgin Mobile. To unblock my iPhone I had to connect it to iTunes, which recognised my device and changed the telephone number. 24 hours later, my old number returned but iTunes won't recognise the device or allow me to change the number back to the original. How do I reslove this?
    Many thanks ;-)

If you only changed the name of your ID rather than creating a new ID, just go to Settins>iCloud and tap Delete Account then sign back in with the new name.  (Deleting the account from your phone does not delete it from iCloud.  Your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.)
If you created a new ID, you'll have to go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone.  (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your phone.)  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using your other ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to your new account.
You won't lose any photos in your camera roll or photo library.  If you have any photos in your photo stream that are over 30 days old that are not in your camera roll or saved on your computer, be sure to save these to the camera roll before deleting the account.  To do so, open the photo stream album on your iPhone in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you need to save to select them, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
