Oraperf.dll and openfcfg not installed to 10g Win2003 server
I'm unable to configure the db account used by the performance counters because the pieces described in the documentation are not on the database server: the MMC assistent is there but there's no Performance item; openfcfg.exe is not there and I don't see the keys in the registry that you'd expect. oraperf.dll is also not on the machine.
This makes me wonder if I'm supposed to install the client to the database server machine, as these pieces seem to come with the client. I started to do that but stopped when I wasn't sure how this would affect the software already updated using patch set 1 (to 10.1.0.3).

PS: the machine is also our web server which needs access to the database; that also suggests that the client should be installed. But I wait to hear what you think...

my 4 DBs work... but EM+test2 doesn't!

I am having a issue installing Adobe Acrobat XI. I am running Windows 8.1. When go to install it gets an error. The error is with transform in registry and will not install product. I am looking at how I can fix this registry problem.
I have tried to uninstall all Abode Acrobat installations but one file remains and refuses to be uninstalled. It gives me this error : Error applying Transforms . I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.

I am running Yosemite and have just bought Pro Tools Express with the intent to Upgrade to Pro Tools 11. Pro Tools Express is not compatible with Yosemite and will not install. How can I get this done?
I have had this problem for close to a year. I have an Extreme base station, two Airport Express's and multiple G4 Mac's with up to date software. I have created and started a VM image and try to configure this image, but when launching the console I get the error:
"the vnc viewer is not installed on the manager server and no local vnc viewer is found."
I've read the vnc console does not rely on a local version of the vnc client, but uses the java vnc. From the java log I get:

It is not clear to me yet what is expected to be running where. My configuration is:
- VM Server 3.1 on Linux host A
- VM Manager 3.1 on Linux host B
- Connected via Windows 7 64-bit client via a browser to the Management Server. Let's call this host C
When launching the console it tries to connect to 127.0.0.1:60505 so to localhost and a port#.
- Given this information I would expect it tries to launch the vncviewer from my management server (host B).
- /usr/bin/vncviewer is installed on host B, but this appears not to be used.
- We see java vnc is started on my Windows 7 client (host C) and it tries to connect to 127.0.0.1 (localhost on my Windows client??) and not to the remote management server (host B)!?
Questions:
1 - Can someone explain what exactly is being executed (from where and to which host) when launching the console?
2 - Is this a java version / Windows 7 related configuration issue? How to fix this?

Air File is Damaged and is not Installing

When I try to install an Air Aplication in my computar I got the following error:
Sorry, an error has occurred.
This aplication could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obteining a new installer file from the application author.
The strange thing is that I can install the same file in another computer without any problem and can not install any Air Application in this Computer.
Unfortunettly I have to run this applpication on the computer it's not working once it's completelly configurated in Hordware and Software.

Your current updates are causing problems and will not install correctly how do we stop it
the security update you currently have causes problems with other software and does not install at all. Current corrections the entire pc has to be set back to a restore date to remove it

When installing CS3 Design Premium it instals Version Cue server and shared components, but I get the message "Errors: 6 component (s)" and dose not install, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Indesign or Creative Suite Premium
Thank you Bturko in the future only migrate/copy/transfer your documents and settings. Adobe applications especially are not designed to be transferred from one computer to another. It is possible to recover however. I would recommend the following steps:
Run the uninstaller located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers
Run the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure complete removal - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
If you need to download a fresh copy of the installation files they can be downloaded at Download CS3 products.
Run the installer and reinstall Creative Suite 3. -

I downloaded the Acrobat 11 trial and I can open the product. During the install it deleted the existing print driver and did not install a new print driver so I CAN Not create and print pdf files.
What OS? Have you tried a repair and updates from the HELP menu? The updates may be the key.
