i have a problem with orarrp utility. the printeroutput is sometimes mirrored or only a blank sheet. is this a known problem? are there any workaraounds available? what can i do to fix the problem? please help me.

But i have not installed IAS at all. I have only Forms and Reports 10g and Oracle database installed. As you said it only save on IAS, but can we save it on local machine. Is there any other alternative.
Again my second issues is --> I want to remove Mail option and rename Cache option to PDF from Destype combo box which appears at run time.
Any idea how we can do this?

Suite 10g. This includes Forms and Reports.this topic interests me too, because I've downloaded Developer Suite and Database (both for 10g) from Oracle website, installed them, but I couldn't connect to a database.
What should be done for me to create a database link and be able to connect locally, in my personal Desktop computer? (Not to a server)
Once it was told me here that I should download 10g Database - I did it, and installed it, but it didn't work. Later, some of my job partners said I should install them in a sequence - that is, 1st the Developer, and 2nd the Database. But it has failed too. And I don't know how to configure a database connection.

So I Google for it and found that this is version mismatch (May be I am wrong) and it tells that I have to install WLS - 10.3.2 with ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_64 (1 to 4)
But I am unable to get wls version 10.3.2.

After the installation while configure the forms reports, I am stuck while creating domain.
steps I follow is :

Now I want to know the exact procedure so that i can run the forms and report in my machine.
This is my first installation of Oracle forms & Reports, so please do not pre assume about my understanding (Like "to install this he surely did this environment settings" )
Please specify all the steps
Furthermore if Another software I have to download then please tell me.

How to deploy the Oracle Forms and Reports 10g in Web?

Currently I am working in Oracle forms & Reports conversion project (6i to 10g).
As of now 6i forms working as a standalone application. After migrated it to 10g, I need to deploy the forms and reports in web.
Any one know how to deploy the Oracle forms and Reports in web?

Windows 8 compatible with Oracle forms and reports 6i?

Hi.
Haven't tried it but as you probably already know, the combination is not certified by Oracle. I guess it could work as long you are not using some OS specific functions. In either case I recommend you to test the application thoroughly before deploying it to production. That is the best advice I can give it to you.

Weblogic 10.3.5 with oracle forms and reports 11.1.2.1.0

I am new to 11g concept (actually web based, have worked till 6i) and trying to upgrade my existing system (6i) to 11g. I have installed Weblogic 10.3.5 with forms and reports 11.1.2.1.0 on windows 7 32 bit. I can connect to my database (10g) from Form builder.
But when I try to open a form/pll of 10g or 6i, it says PDE-PLI018 could not find library and it shows the path of my earlier folder, which now does not exist.
I have made changes in registry FORMS_PATH, FORMS_BUILDER_PATH, UI_ICON
And in default.env file FORMS_PATH and CLASSPATH
I have added entry to tnsnames.ora, through which I can connect to DB. And have followed below site to configure weblogic and FM forms and reports;

I have few doubts in my mind;
1) Do we have to connect (create a bridge) to DB from weblogic except tnsnames.ora.

3) If I am able to rectify above error then can I directly use http://localhost:8888/forms/frmservlet and access the system from another pc, or still there are some modifications needed.
I am trying this from last 3 days, but couldn't find the solution, kindly help me out for same, eagerly waiting for your reply.

Thanks for your reply, Yes, as there are many forms in my system, there is a chance that libraries attached are with the path.

Needed Document for upgrading Oracle forms and reports 10g to 11g

Hi Guys,
Currently my client is using Oracle 10g for forms and reports and currently he is looking to upgrade from 10g to 11g.
Can some one provide me the impact analysis document which shows if they is any risk factors involved if we migrate from 10g to 11g.
If any risk factors are involved what steps needs to be taken care before we upgrade from 10g to 11g.

Ii have installed oracle10g database edition...
Then i installed oracle10g forms and reports
i've altered and created login username and password in oracle10g database edition...
when i try to give username and password in oracle sqlplus it show error TNS:could not resolve the connect.....
please help me.....

You need to create an entry in your Tnsnames.ora file which would be located in <FormsHome>/Net80/Admin.
ORCL_Test =

(CONNECT_DATA =
   (SERVICE_NAME = DBNameOnServer)
)In above, specify the IP Address or server name for HOST and specify the ServerPort on which Oracle Listner is configured. It would be something like 1521 depending on your DB configuration. And in the SERVICE_NAME specify the Oracle Instance name which would be something similar to ORCL. Save the file and you are ready to connect through this new entry.
While connecting to Forms/Reports, give the Database as ORCL_Test. You can name it anything in TNSNAMES.ORA.

Oracle Forms and Report 10g r2 standalone installation fail on Solaris 8

I tried to install Oracle Forms & Report 10g r2 standalone on solaris 8.
However the installation failed with the following error:

I managed to install 9.0.4 successfully on the same server without any problem.

Do you ahve the Shared_library variable? LD_LIBRARY_PATH, SHARED_LIBRARY_PATH ?? Usually one of this have to point to where the librarias are.

Printer Problem In Oracle Forms And Reports server

Hi,
I am facing a problem regarding installation of printer drivers in my Reports Server (10.1.2.0.2 on Windows 2003).
Unless the printer driver is installed locally on the Report Server Reports are not printing.
The problem is with the USB printers at various location .
How to install the printer in this case.
Any one can help in this regards.

I think that specific drivers are needed always when you need to print in windows enviroments, with or without report server, locally or remotely. If windows "see" the printer, report server does too.

How do you extract SQL from Oracle Forms and Reports files?

I am developing an "as is" data model for a government client for a 14 year old system that has three databases, 20 schemas, over 1500 tables, and over 23,000 columns. Needless to say, I do not plan to perform a manual mapping of data to screens and reports.
Most of the system has been developed in Oracle Forms and Reports. I am trying to map the live tables and columns to forms and reports.
The process here has been to save the forms and reports files as .fmb and .rdf files. The client does not have an available copy of Oracle Designer, which I understand could be used to extract the SQL.
Is there a utility somewhere that can parse the .fmb and .rdf files to extract the SQL?

Jim,
I don't know of any utility that will do this. You can convert and save each fmb as a fmt so you can view/search the contents , but I don't recommend that approach.
On the other hand, you download a copy of Oracle Designer:
