Order Change Management activation

Hi Experts,
I want to activate the OCM (not in production server) to do some research. Can we deactivate it after making research.
Requirement is "to trace the list of production orders that have undergone quantity or dates change".
I would like to know whether it is difficult to deactivate like batch management.
Regards,
Jejesh

Dear,
It is not difficult to deactivate .
Steps,
In WorkScheduling View of Material Master (FERT/HALB or Any Defined for Production) you need to maintain "Overall Profile"
This Overall profile should be configured in SPRO > PRoduction>Shop Floor Control > Operations>Change Management for Production Orders-->Define Overall Change Profile.
Process of OCM follows this way:
Create a Change Number CC01 with Release Key
In Object Types select/tick "Actv", "object", "MgtRec",
You get the Change Number by Saving .
Use this Change Number to Change BOM or Routings
Then Release the Change Number useing Release Key till then you don't find the Change of BOM in Production Order.
Then go to Oder Change Process T Code :- COCM
Tick Change Number and Select the Change Number & Execute
Select the Production Order, click on Procurement element icon you get another screen select and execute again.
You get an Pop-Up screen. "Determine changes, Check changes, Change Original Order.
you see the changes in BOM for Production Order i.e. after COCM.
Then Confirm the Changes in Production Order then New changes will be Active in production Order.
Use COCM1 to find out the details or CO03--Extra --change
Please check link from page 399.

  • Order Change Managment

I have a peculiar type of issue. The production order has the status CGFB- Confirm./goods mvmnt forbidden Which has been activated for the production order through <b>Order change Management</b>. But once this is being activated i am not able to do the delivery and order is blocked. So how should i deactivate this status in the production order. I have checked for the Material in the Work Scheduling view but no Overall profile is being usef for the Material. So i can i deactivate the Status CGFB in the production order set by the Order Change Managment.

REPORT ZPPSFC179  has been runned  for the production order and the problem is not being solved

  • Difference  Between Order Change Management & Engineering change Management

    Dear,
What is the Difference  Between Order Change Management & Engineering change Management ?

    Hi,
ECM will help for Master data changes management.
OCM will help to manage changes in Transaction Data like Production Orders.
In brief, you have to first Create Change Number(part of ECM activity).then using that Change number, Master data(like BOM, Routing etc) has to be modified.
Then through OCM affected Transaction Data(like Production Orders) for each change number to be Processed.

  • Help required in OCM-Order change management

    Hi All,
I have to implement the Order change managment. I did few setting which are required and than i created ECR using release key. but using OCM it tells me to first make the changes in MATERIAL BOM than using transaction COCM i can make the changes in required production order.
But my requirement is i want to change the Production BOM or Production routing directly without touching Material BOM .
As sometime it happens only 1 or 2 Order BOM s are need to be changed only not the Material bom. So i want to track the Changes made in Order using OCM.
What is the solution that i can change the Production Bom OR Production Routing directly using OCM and also how can i make the changes in Sales Order.
    Pls do the needful.
    Thanks
    Ravi Khurana

Using Order Change Management (change management for production orders), it is possible to include existing procurement elements (production orders, planned orders, purchase orders) that are also affected by a change, in the change process.
The change process in OCM is based on Initiating Objects. These initiating object records refer to changes in sales orders or in master data, which, in turn, necessitate changes to production orders.
Thus, it is not possible to change the order directly using OCM.

  • Production Order Change Management

    Hi ALL,
    Dealy need of following.
How the changes to the production order can be viewed?
Is there any tcode to check this ?
    Regards,
    MHP

    Dear Manish,
In a standard system it is not possible to track the changes made to a production order.
However, this can acheived in following ways.
1.We can develop a custom made report to track changes made to an order. Please check this with your ABAPer.
The overview of a report will be such that one can analyse the items added, deleted, new items inserted etc.
2.We will be able to achieve this by order change management.Refer the following link.

  • Production Orders Changes Log

    Hello,
I would like to know if there is any Standard way in SAP to be able to see the modifications for a production order. I would like to see modifications in quantities or components.
Does anybody knows if it is possible to retrieve that information in a standard way?
    Thanks

    Dear
Changes in Production Order can be  traced through following ways :
    1.Order Change Management :
Frist a Overall profile should be configured in SPRO > PRoduction>Shop Floor Control > Operations>Change Management for Production Orders-->Define Overall Change Profile.
    Please check link  : http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/PPSFC/PPSFC.pdf
2.To  get the changes in Production Order apply SAP Note 390635.
3 .You can use T.code AUT10 to check the changes made to production orders in specified period.

  • BO Data Services Change Management with SAP Charm Functionality

    HI Gurus,
We have been tasked with automating the Change Management activity for Business objects data Services. The same is currently performed as a manual task which could be prone to errors. We have researched all over the place and we have not been able to find any documentation on in order to carry out this activty through Solution Manager ChaRm functionality.
So, Can SAP Solution manager perform the LCM (Life Cycle management) for Business objects Data Services via means of it CHaRm functionality?
Right now we know that the components for BO are present on Solution manager within the SMSY transaction. We have also been able to create the complete landscape within the same and create a project template for it.
Now the challenge is how do we configure ChaRm in order to move the DI code from one repository to the next?
here are the requirements we are trying to implement:
    1. Create a full landscape for Business Objects Data Services within SMSY in Solution manager
    2. Create Project template for Business objects Data Services
    3. Create RFC connections to Database and BODS Client Servers
    4. Configure Charm in order to automate Change Management for Data Service
    Please advice.

  • Production order changes overview

    Hello,
I would like to know if, in the new SAP version (6.0), is there any way to display the changes done for a production order. The same functionality as in the material master chnage documents.
    Regards
    Laura

I am afraid, it is a No without OCM(Order change Management)
We could only see the Order status changes provided relevant Stauts change settings are active in OPL8 implementation tab.
However I guess,we can get the changes in a prodcution order with the implementation of OCM.

  • Production Order Change History

Is there a way to track changes to production orders?  If so, what is the table to view these changes?
    Thank you,
    Jesse Powell

    HI
Yes there are tables where you can find the changes made to the Production Order.
The tables are CDHDR and CDPOS.
But to see the changes that you made in the Prod Order being reflected in these tables , you should have the Enhancement for change management  activated.
Information regarding this enhancement  can be got from the OSS note 390635.
    Thanks
    Jerry
